We love following every movement of our favorite models as they jet around the world. From posing like BFFs with top creative directors to providing sneak peeks backstage at the biggest shows to adventuring around international fashion capitals, models give us a glimpse into their glamorous, fast-paced, fashion-filled lives with their Instagram feeds, and we can't take our eyes away.
While we know everything they do while they work, we don't often get to witness their more personal moments. Luckily, some of the most-followed fashion girls have dished on how they enjoy spending the holidays, spilling their favorite traditions and what they're looking forward to most when they take a break from the busy life of fashion modeling and head back home.
See what they say below!
Miranda Kerr says the holidays are a really important time to be with family and appreciate the closeness with her loved ones. She shared with Vogue a particularly unique tradition she grew up with—her grandmother used to place presents beneath her piano rather than a Christmas tree and her grandpa would dress up like Santa to hand out presents. Now that she has a grand piano, Kerr says she might revisit the tradition.
Gigi Hadid confessed to WWD that she's the "pie girl" when it comes to the Hadid family Thanksgiving preparations. Both she and her sister will be walking in the Victoria's Secret Fashion show this year (Bella's first run and Gigi's second). The two will head back home to Los Angeles to celebrate Thanksgiving as a family. Every member of the Hadid clan has a role (except brother Anwar)—Hadid's mom does the cranberry and buttered carrots, her dad takes care of the meat and stuffing, and Bella bakes the desserts.
Karlie Kloss loves returning home for the holidays to celebrate with her big multi-generational Midwest family, especially now that she and her sisters are spread across the country. She dishes in the Joe Fresh blog that there's always lots of baking in the Kloss household, with everyone in the kitchen preparing lots and lots of food. She wrote on her Instagram, "Every year before the holidays, my mom and I devote an entire day to spend in the kitchen together, baking up holiday goodies for friends, family and love ones."
Model sister duo Edie and Olympia Campbell went for a more untraditional take on the holidays last year, spending the break exploring the beautiful nature of Norway, snapping plenty of breathtaking photos of glaciers and epic trails along the way.
