Ballerina-style clothing is expected to be a hot trend this summer, whether incorporated into swimsuits or skinny jeans. If you want an expert's opinion on how to wear this trend, who better to enlist than actual ballerinas? They walk the walk (and dance the dance), so of course, they're the best ones to put this style to the test.
And that's exactly what they do in MM.LaFleur's summer 2017 collection video, "The Light Fantastic." The video stars Georgina Pazcoguin, Unity Phelan, and Alexa Maxwell, who dance for the NYC Ballet when they aren't starring in fashion campaigns. In the video, they go from working diligently at their laptops to twirling gracefully in beautifully draped dresses, and we can see immediately why the breezy looks bring out their inner dancers.
"Our summer collection channels the classic American sportswear of the '60s: simple silhouettes, lightweight fabrics, happy colors," said MM.LaFleur's creative director Miyako Nakamura in a press release. "I love mixing textures and patterns to create dynamism and levity."
You can buy these dynamic clothes right off the ballerinas, but first, you should watch them show off their talent in the MM.LaFleur video below.
