Her latest film, Manchester by the Sea, isn't even officially out yet, and Michelle Williams has already landed another gig. This time, the Oscar-nominated actress will play the role of famed '60s musician Janis Joplin in a biopic. Williams confirmed the news to E!, revealing that once an actor learns he or she has landed a job, the jitters hit the next day. "You get the job, and you're like, 'I got it! I'm so excited! I can't believe I have this opportunity. I can't believe I'm going to get to do this.' And then you start worrying the next day. I'm in the worrying-the-next-day phase," she says.

The film is said to be based on the 1992 biography Love, Janis, which was written by Joplin's sister Laura, and will focus on the last six months of her life before her tragic death at age 27. We loved Williams playing the iconic role of Marilyn Monroe in My Week with Marilyn, and we're thrilled to see her come back to the big screen as Joplin.
