Here's the thing about shoe trends: They're not always brand-new or bold. They can be subtle and old-fashioned. Such was the case earlier today when Max Mara showed its S/S 18 collection in Milan. The color scheme was simple. Camel, black, white, and sweet floral looks were sent down the runway one after another, and every model was wearing the same shoe style: T-strap heels. The classic style first came about in the 1920s and has taken a bit of a hiatus over the past several years. But if Max Mara Creative Director Ian Griffiths has anything to say about it, they'll be back next spring.
