Only Wear Black? This Collection Is Definitely Not for You

British designer Mary Katrantzou is changing the fashion game by implementing her own version of see-now, buy-now collections. Known for quirky prints and bold designs, the brand is choosing to rename pre-collections to coincide with seasons and department stores.

According to WWD, resort will be known as “November,” and pre-fall is now “May.” While Mary Katrantzou will still show at London Fashion Week, the new straightforward names are indicators of the times when the collections will be available for purchase. She tells WWD that her pre-collections are “transitional, with no real seasonality,” adding that “it also means the pieces we shoot for the lookbook are the pieces that were actually bought by the stores, and there’s no disparity.” This translates to what you see is what you can actually buy. And she’s kicking things off with a statement-making November 2016 line filled with a burst of color. Think bright lace florals, ’70s-inspired prints, and psychedelic silhouettes.
