Australian creative Margaret Zhang is a travel aficionado. Her work as a stylist and photographer takes her around the world, so it's no surprise she's got a bit to say when it comes to packing and travel tips.
In a recent collaboration with Farfetch (which happens to be one of our favourite places to shop vintage online), Zhang photographed and styled herself (we told you she was talented), in a series of portraits, showcasing the chaos of packing a suitcase for a big trip.
Curious to hear how it all went down? Keep scrolling to read how she packs her suitcase, and her biggest travel mistake.
On how she packs her suitcase…
“I tend to put off packing till the last possible moment to avoid inevitable procrastination—so you’ll likely find me frantically throwing things into a suitcase to the sweet sounds of aggressively motivating grime music. And I lay everything out completely flat—I’ve never been able to break that habit”
On her biggest packing faux pas…
“Never pack valuables in checked luggage—and if you have no choice, then conceal with the layers of underwear and T-shirts. Seriously. Speaking from super gnarly experiences.”
On who she’d like to sit next to on a long-haul flight…
“Hands down, Ira Glass or David Remnick. My conversation opener would be: “Are we living in a simulation?””
