It was only two weeks ago when Margaret Zhang, Chinese-Australian photographer, director, stylist, writer, and model, showcased her first-ever solo photography exhibition, "UNSEEN: A Photographic Retrospective". In true Margaret style (read: continually impressing), she has just landed the June 2017 cover of Elle Australia magazine, and as reported by POPSUGAR Australia, the cover was shot on an iPhone 7. The image was taken by acclaimed Australian fashion photographer Georges Antoni and Zhang was styled by Rachel Wayman, Elle Australia's Fashion Director.
While it's her first Australian magazine cover, it's not the only front page Zhang's graced, and certainly won't be the last. She has previously made the cover for L’Officiel Manila, Nylon Singapore, and Vogue China’s publication Vogue Me, where she bared her shoulders to the -17 degree New York weather. "I’m not going to lie: the process of shooting these frames one winter's morning in New York was definitely the tipping point for my spending most of Fashion Month wallowing in what, I was pretty convinced to be pneumonia," Zhang said.
In a much more relaxed setting, Zhang's Elle Australia cover was shot back on home soil on Bondi Beach, and she glows while wrapped up in a chunky knit and Cartier jewellery.
