Yep, as Fashionista pointed out based on a new ranking from research group Millward Brown and advertising conglomerate WPP, Louis Vuitton is the most valuable luxury brand in the entire world, with an estimated value of $24.7 billion. As Fashionista described, to calculate a brand's value (which increased over the last year), the study looked at corporate earnings, potential for future earnings, and qualitative factors like meaningfulness, distinctiveness, and salience that speak to consumers' attitude toward purchasing the brand's products. Right behind Vuitton is Hermès at $19 billion, Gucci at $13 billion, and Chanel at $9 billion.
