What are the boot styles I should invest in?

Each year, shopping for fall boots brings us pure, unadulterated joy. And while we love so many different types, there are a few new boot styles that are rising to the top of our must-have list this season. Here are six super seasonal styles—hope you love them as much as we do!

Must-Have Style #1: Knee-High Boots
Knee-high boots are making a major comeback—they were all over the F/W 13 runways—into our lives. This season, they are feeling less ‘night-out' and more appropriate for daywear. Think: ‘70s-influenced wooden heels and colors, like cognac and saddle brown

Must-Have Style #2: Flat Riding Boots
A flat riding boot—ideally in muted suedes or shiny blacks—also feels great, especially when worn with your favorite skinny jeans or knee-length dress.

Must-Have Style #3: Pointy-Toe Wedge Ankle Boots
Ankle boots are a perennial favorite, but that said, getting the right style is absolutely imperative. So what’s of-the-moment for fall? A pointy-toe wedge. Styled with an ankle-length jean or trouser, it looks on-trend and a little dressy, but is still totally comfortable

Must-Have Style #4: Ankle Boots With Straps Or Buckles
That’s not the only ankle boot worth checking out! We also like any style with straps or buckles, because it adds edge to otherwise feminine pieces like soft dresses, blouses, and cozy knits sweaters.

Must-Have Style #5: Hidden Wedge Boots
Much like high-fashion sneakers, boots are getting strategic hidden wedges for fall. They’re a smart choice because you get the lift required to make you look super leggy, but in a really effortless way.

Must-Have Style #6: Textured or Print Boots
Another update to consider for your autumn closet: boots with texture, prints, or bright colors! If you already have a go-to black or brown pair, try rocking something a bit irreverent and absolutely darling. A camo, polka dot, or animal print boot looks surprisingly versatile with a fall wardrobe of camels, blacks, white, and denim, while a colorfully patterned or studded bootie adds flavor to just about anything.
