With winter in full swing, I’ve noticed that my wardrobe has changed just as much as the seasons. In all fairness, it never gets too cold here in Southern California. However, the temperatures do dip a bit this time of year, and I find myself switching out my sandals and T-shirts for cozy sweaters, warm scarves and cute coats.
So, with the colder months in mind, today I’ve rounded up my winter wardrobe essentials. Take a look…
Glamorous Zip Front Trench Coat ($149)
A great coat is a winter essential no matter where you live. I particularly love this one because it comes in my favorite color (blush). It also happens to be one of the chicest trenches I’ve seen in a while.
Madewell Cabletwist Mittens ($25)
For those of you in cooler climates, you won’t want to leave home without a warm pair of gloves or mittens. I fell in love with this pair from Madewell, and I plan on wearing them on all of my winter trips out to NYC.
LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s Eyelash Boyfriend Cardigan ($30)
What’s better in the wintertime than a cozy cardigan? I’ve been wearing this one from my LC Lauren Conrad line regularly and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. I love to wear it over my shoulders and pretend it’s a (faux) fur. Cozy and chic!
Madewell The Mira Heels ($135)
During the colder months, my color palette gravitates towards grays, blacks and tans, which is why I love this punchy pair of coral pumps. Pair them with any neutral ensemble for an instant pop of color.
Kate Spade Selma Dress ($328)
The holidays may be over, but that doesn’t mean the soirees have stopped! For those colder nights when I have events or parties to attend, instead of going for my go-to sleeveless dress, I’ll opt for a ¾ sleeve number like this one from Kate Spade. The color is also perfect for your upcoming Valentine’s Day celebrations.
Anthropologie Jana Beanie ($88)
Joie Deon B Silk Blouse ($278)
For me, a silk floral top is a wardrobe essential during any month of the year. My current favorite is this one by Joie, which will look chic under a trench and paired with your favorite skinnies.
J.Crew Collection Icon Trench Coat ($298)
A classic trench is the perfect piece to throw on when the weather gets a little bit drizzly. I’m quite fond of this one from J.Crew.
LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s Peep Toe Booties ($63)
These peep toe booties from my LC Lauren Conrad line have quickly become my favorite shoe. They’re great for a day at the office or a night out with girlfriends. And the best part? They’re on sale!
Paper Crown Blake Coat ($325)
Looking for a little extra warmth this winter? Throw on this houndstooth peacoat from my Paper Crown line and you’ll be good to go.
The Little Market Alpaca Scarf ($100)
3.1 Phillip Lim Soleil Leather Shoulder Bag ($895)
Each season I start my search for a great black bag, and I’m happy to report that I’ve found the best bag for winter! This one by Phillip Lim is the perfect size, and is a piece that you can keep in your handbag rotation forever.
Hunter Original Tall Rain Boot ($148)
The minute it starts to rain I throw on my Hunter Boots. I have them in Hunter Green and tend to wear them a lot during the winter months.
