Lauren Conrad Reveals Her Favourite Dresses of the Season

When it comes to spring and summer, I tend to wear dresses more often than not. And this season, there are some pretty beautiful styles and silhouettes out there. So today, I wanted to tell you about my five favourite types of dresses that you can wear through spring and well into summer.

Take a look…

I’m a big fan of the popover dress… so much that I designed a few for my LC Lauren Conrad collection (and also for Paper Crown!). There’s just something about the popover that adds a little extra chic to your look. The style is a little bit retro and very wearable, and it looks great on all different body types. Here are three of my favourites:

The drop-waist dress has been making a comeback, and I’m pretty happy about it. The lower waist gives a dress an easy, breezy feel, and I’ve been seeing lots of cute styles popping up all over my favourite online shops. Here are a few of the ones I like the most:

What’s not to love about a shirt dress? It’s classic, chic, and a little bit preppy (which isn’t a bad thing). Dress one down with a denim jacket and flats, or dress it up with wedges and a blazer. Here are some that I am loving, including one from my Paper Crown line:

The fit-and-flare dress never goes out of style and has been a go-to in my wardrobe for years. I always design several of these classic silhouettes for my Kohl’s line, and whenever I’m unsure of what to wear, I go for a great fit-and-flare. Here are three that I think you’ll like…

I’ve recently become pretty in love with a ballerina-inspired dress. There’s just something so sweet about dressing like a beautiful ballet dancer. And the ballerina look tends to involve pretty pleats, tulle, and feminine little details, which I love. Here are a few I think are really beautiful (including one splurge-worthy piece from Michael Kors):
