Lady Gaga obviously has more than a few sartorial tricks up her sleeve—and one of them is named Brandon Maxwell. Gaga has worked with the designer and stylist as part of her Haus of Gaga since the early days of her pop career—and now her right-hand fashion man is taking a big step in his own career by showing a full collection at New York Fashion Week in September.
WWD reports that Maxwell will show his first full ready-to-wear collection during the S/S 16 season in New York this fall. Up to now, he's most widely known and recognized for his designs for Gaga, which take inspiration from Old Hollywood glamour as well as avant-garde motifs.
"I'm so excited to be fulfilling a lifelong dream of design, making clothes inspired by all of the powerful women in my life—from the classic to the avant-garde," Maxwell says in a statement about the news.
