Kym Ellery is without doubt one of our most revered fashion designers. Her brand, Ellery, is only the third Australian label to be invited to show on-schedule in Paris—meaning her success so far is only just the beginning. This year has already been major for the Ellery brand—with an A/W 16 presentation in Paris, a foray into denim, and now, an optical and sunglasses collaboration with Specsavers.
Specsavers is known for making high-end fashion accessible to everyone, so if you’re yet to snap up a pair of Ellery’s signature cat-eye sunglasses, this collab is for you. Launching from July 28, the collection includes 14 optical glasses and six sunglasses, priced between $199 and $249. The collection is in line with Ellery’s strong, architectural silhouettes, and our favourite part? Each pair of glasses is branded with a gold eye insignia, set with a crystal stone and branded with the gold Ellery logo.
Ahead of its launch, we caught up with Kym to chat about how she unwinds, and to find out the timeless glasses shape every girl should own. Read on to find out what she said and to sneak a peek at the collection before its launch.
