When it comes to her magazine shoots, Kylie Jenner loves to throw us for a loop. For Interview last year, she donned a wig for an over-the-top, dominatrix-inspired shoot photographed by Steven Klein. But then she pulled an 180 on us and went for soft, feminine vibes for a Vogue spread with Bella Hadid and Lottie Moss. Now, she’s surprised us yet again with an artsy new cover shoot for Complex magazine.
The images were shot by Sasha Samsonova, and the feature artwork was created by none other than Takashi Murakami. With fantastical art, curve-hugging latex, and bombshell hair, this shoot is definitely one of Jenner’s most statement-making spreads yet. In the accompanying interview, Jenner talks about living her life in the spotlight. “It’s probably the hardest thing,” she told the magazine. “You don’t know who you are. I didn’t know who I was a year ago, and I still don’t know exactly who I am now. You’re trying to grow up and make mistakes and everybody’s watching.”
