Once again, Kate Middleton has proved she is the queen of getting it spot on when it comes to dressing appropriately. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Pakistan for the Royal tour on Monday (which is the first by the Royal family since 2006, when Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall visited). Prince William and Kate Middleton touched down at Rawalpindi's Nur Khan Airbase, where they were greeted by Pakistan's foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi. Unsurprisingly, the moment the couple exited the plane, all eyes were on what Kate was wearing.
True to form, the Duchess of Cambridge had clearly thought carefully about her chosen outfit, opting for a traditional Pakistani ensemble. Her turquoise ombré shalwar-kameez look was created by favourite Catherine Walker and finished off with a pair of Rupert Sanderson nude heels and accessories by Pakistani brand Zeen. Day two's outfit was also a shalwar kameez, this time created by Pakistani designer Maheen Khan. Kate opted for two different shoes with this look: First, a pair of New Look heels, and then a flattering pair of shoes from Russell & Bromley.
Later on, the couple went for lunch with Prime Minister Imran Khan, for which Kate opted to change into a suit, wearing a green tunic by Catherine Walker and trousers by Maheen Khan. For the evening at a special reception hosted by the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Kate then opted to go for an emerald green Jenny Packham gown.
Day three has seen Kate wearing an all-brown outfit with a traditional Chitrali hat—the same one that Princess Diana wore when she visited the country in 1991. As for the rest of the week, the standout looks have included a green shalwar kameez created by Naheen Khan for a visit to Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, a pair of white sneakers to play cricket in and this morning a black-and-white Kurta by the Pakistani brand Élan and a bag from Smythson for the final day of the tour.
