How Kate Middleton Re-Styles the Same Coat 3 Ways

We can all agree that no one repeats a fashion piece better than Kate Middleton does. She has an unrivaled ability to wear the same outfit twice (or more) and make it look fresh and fashionable every time. Most recently, the duchess demonstrated her mastery of re-wearing statement pieces by stepping out in a familiar oxblood-red coat as she and the British royal family processed to their church service on Christmas Day.

Middleton first premiered the burgundy Hobbs number on Valentine's Day in 2012, pairing it with an otherwise all-black ensemble of a turtleneck, tights, and clutch. Later that year for Christmas, she reappeared in the coat again, this time accessorizing with bright pops of red by way of pashmina and clutch. This time, she treated the piece to monochrome styling, adding a luxe fur stole to the collar, carrying a suede clutch, and finishing her look with leather Tod's pumps, all in coordinating shades of oxblood red. Best yet was Princess Charlotte's mini-me ensemble, with colorful accents matching her mother's.
