Meet our INF / Network, a highly curated roster of some of Australia’s most respected voices in fashion, beauty and lifestyle. We will work closely with these women to bring you a fresh perspective, and offer them an opportunity to create content outside of their traditional categories. Perhaps you have always loved Sara Donaldson’s style, but you're keen to know more about her beauty routine? Or maybe you love Kelly Muller’s parenting advice, but want to know more about her fashion tips? We’re opening the door to give these inspirational women an opportunity to share more with you.
It’s time to meet… Jaime Ridge of Dillon Dot.
I think people would be amazed at how much time and preparation goes into the production of what I do. I place immense importance of producing content that is elevated and unique, so to create this sort of work is heavily time intensive and it often means that a project will be shot more than once to ensure perfection. But that's the perfectionist in me!
Heels! Without a doubt a pair of gorgeous heels. There is something empowering about putting on pair of killer stilettos. You simply can't explain it. A structured blazer and designer bag are also key.
Feeling uninspired is the absolute worst. I personally have a couple of different tactics to relight my creative flame. Either I won't look at any form of creative work—that means no magazines, books, Instagram etc. and I'll try and draw inspiration from other areas of life—family, nature, music etc. Or I will flick through my oldest and most favourite copies of Vogue Magazine as well as my favourite editorials I have ripped out over the years and put into a big book filled with inspiration. From one extreme to the other really.
In the morning, I wake up and will often go for a walk along the water front and watch the sun rise. It's the best time of the day. Then I'll shower, moisturise, do my hair, and then get dressed for the day. I'll then go to my favourite coffee shop to work for an hour before I head to my current full time job. So my mornings are a very busy and productive time. Just how I like it!
Most evenings I have meetings, or I'll head home and work, either cook dinner or pop up the road to Ponsonby for a light meal, then I'll head home and shower, and do some more work. My hours after work are when I work on my creative projects, dillondot.com and jaimedillonridge.com.
To believe wholeheartedly in yourself, your work, and in your journey.
Shooting up a magical, creative storm with my incredible Dillon Dot team.
What 2017 has in store. It's going to be the best year yet!
I'm travelling overseas, and working on exciting projects. Yes, I'm pretty much work obsessed. Work makes me so happy.
I'm feeling uninspired.
