Known for: Her unforgettable mane, which she rebelliously chopped off when she was 15, and opening for Celiné F/W 15. (She starred in that season's campaign as well.)
How she was discovered: At a concert at the age of 14.
Fun fact: She views modeling in a unique way, telling i-D, "For me it's an opportunity to learn to take care of yourself, grow up quickly, travel the world, make friends and earn money at a really young age."
Hometown: Lagos, Nigeria
Known for: She's the first major model to hail from Nigeria since Oluchi Onweagba's discovery in 1998.
How she was discovered: She won Nigeria's Elite Model Look in 2014.
Hometown: Arvada, Colorado
Known for: She's one of the newest (and youngest) Victoria's Secret Angels.
How she was discovered: At a dude ranch in Colorado while riding horses; her agent was there photographing a shoot.
Fun fact: She was a gymnast growing up.
Hometown: Kent, England
Known for: Her edgy look thanks to her blond buzz-cut (which she cut for an Alexander McQueen campaign). She's also the face of Saint Laurent’s Cruise 16 campaign and has walked for a slew of major designers.
How she was discovered: She and her sister, May Bell, were approached at the age of 15 by a modeling scout while on vacation in Paris.
Fun fact: Ruth and her sister May are identical twins. They started as a duo, with their first job being a campaign for Topshop.
Hometown: Buenos Aires
Known for: Being a Prada muse and opening and closing more shows than one can count, not to mention starring in a slew of editorials and being at the top of every designer's wish list.
How she was discovered: She took a chance and sent a Polaroid to her mother agency in Buenos Aires. It worked.
Fun fact: She's a street style star, too, and says that she dresses like a boy.
Hometown: Los Angeles
Known for: Being the daughter of supermodel mom Cindy Crawford, who she posed with for a recent cover of Vogue Paris. She also recently landed her biggest campaign yet: Alexander Wang's S/S 16.
How she was discovered: See above, re: Cindy Crawford. She signed with major agency IMG last year.
Fun fact: She's begun working with Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid's stylist, Monica Rose.
Hometown: Lawrenceville, Georgia
Known for: Scoring a coveted position as a Saint Laurent exclusive right off the bat last year.
Fun fact: She worked as an autopsy technician's assistant in Georgia.
Hometown: Purmerend, Netherlands
Known for: Her classic doll-like beauty. She landed major campaigns for Dior and Gucci at the start of her career.
How she was discovered: In Amsterdam, by a scout.
Fun fact: She became a muse for Miuccia Prada at the age of just 14.
Hometown: London, United Kingdom
Known for: She's the younger half-sister of Kate Moss, and she landed a Calvin Klein campaign in 2014 and Vogue Paris's May 2016 issue cover alongside Lucky Blue Smith.
How she was discovered: See above re: Kate Moss. The world first took note when she served as one of Moss's bridesmaids in 2011.
Fun fact: She's on the petite side for a model, at 5'5".
