Balenciaga Spring 08

We'll launch into our proper story in a moment, but before we do, we'd like to draw your attention to the final installment of Who What Wear TV's Fashion Week Series. In this concluding episode, we talk with the very knowledgeable design duo of Milla Jovovich and Carmen Hawk about their fall collection, as well as their amazing limited-edition line that's currently available at Target. And now, without any further ado, your daily content...

Normally our Inspired By stories are centered on a single fantastic accessory and demonstrated by one of our favorite trendsetters like Ashley Olsen and Agyness Deyn. Today we're taking a slightly different approach and are using an entire runway look as our muse.

Our above selections are not knockoffs-perish the thought-rather, each piece summons a different element of the spring Balenciaga style. Hopefully our choices will inspire you to find additional pieces and your own way to invoke the spirit of this notable collection!

1. Topshop Frill Detail Tea Dress ($90)
If the sculptured, shell-like style of the stunning Balenciaga dress won't work with your figure or your finances, simply introduce a frock with a little floral print into your wardrobe.

2. Urban Outfitters Painted Leaf Bangles in Blue/Purple ($16 each)
The striking black-and-white gladiator sandals seen on Balenciaga's runway are the epitome of statement shoes. A less dramatic way of incorporating the woven pattern into your look is with an armful of two-tone bangles.

3. Shofolk Lace Front Flat Sandals ($250)
It takes some moxie to sport knee-high gladiators (it's not really an everyday look, to say the least), but a simple and stylish lace-up sandal will convey the Balenciaga vibe in a subtle way.

4. Forever 21 Stripe Flap Satchel (32.80)
While the above image doesn't show Ghesquiere's lust-inducing bags, that's not going to stop us from revealing a perfectly satisfactory substitute. Our version might not be collectible, but it does have a Balenciaga-like look!
