How to Wear Cropped Flares Every Day of the Week

We know a trend has really made it when there’s a team Net-a-Porter order. Case in point? This week when we had one giant delivery arrive containing six different pairs of cropped flares. Six women, with six different body shapes, all ordering a version of the same trend. This isn’t something that happens in our office every week, but when it does, we know the trend has staying power (the last time this happened, we all put our hands up at the same time for this neck tie).

Cropped flares are moving away from being a seasonal trend, and proving they’re a wardrobe staple. Why? They’re super flattering on every body shape. It might take a little trial and error, but it’s best to search for a pair with the right flare that balances out your hips, with the rise (low rise or high-waisted) that suits you. And with so many different options—from denim to velvet—you can wear them every day of the week.

You be the judge on this one, but if denim works in your office, work them back for 9-5 with a black blazer and slingback heels.

It's hump-day, so time to start having some fun. Pair a simple black pair of cropped flares with a pair of printed boots (the best part about cropped flares is showing off your amazing shoe collection), and a structured blazer.

If you're heading from work --> drinks, go for a coordinating suit. You look elegant, dressed-up, but still like the fashion girl you are.

Casual Friday calls for a relaxed approach. Take a note from Mira Duma and pair yours with mules and socks for a cosy yet chic vibes.

Play with proportion on your next Saturday night out. Your hems might be cropped, but that doesn't mean you can't layer long over short. Add a tunic dress for a fashion-forward look.

Go for a low-key relaxed vibe on Sunday and pair with your favourite vintage band tee, and black ankle boots.

Mustard—the colour to update your wardrobe with this season.

If you're feeling unsure about the trend, dip your toe in with a classic black pair.

No one does a flare quite like Ellery. This exaggerated pair with eyelets is one that'll have people talking.

The best part? Vertical stripes help elongate the leg. Hello supermodel pins.

There's something so chic about a woman who can pull off white pants. Our advice is to go all the way with head-to-toe white.

Wear these pants to work with a black blazer and tucked-in white shirt.

These are the definition of party pants.

This might just be the most perfect pair of cropped flare blue jeans we've ever seen.

This J Brand pair has a high stretch count, so they'll be comfortable the second you slip them on.
