Lily Aldridge may be best known for her signature Angel wings, but the stunning model was celebrated for her work with children at the World of Children Awards in NYC. The 30-year-old was the recipient of the 2016 Advocacy Award and looked effortlessly gorgeous in her black-and-white ensemble.
Aldridge wore a three-piece look straight off the Carolina Herrera S/S 17 runway, paired with Art Deco–inspired earrings and black sandals. Her outfit was gorgeous, but the styling trick here was all about the button-down shirt. The model proved that the key to upgrading a strapless top or dress you've worn ad nauseam is to layer your favorite button-down beneath it. In Aldridge's case, the varying textures of the sheer silk shirt and woven bustier lent the ensemble a stylish element while her full skirt, adorned with ostrich feathers, was pure elegance. We don't know about you, but this simple styling hack is a total game changer for us.
