The Coolest Ways to Wear Your Scarf This Fall—See the GIFs!

While there are countless ways to wear your scarf, we often get asked which are our favorites. It was a one hard to narrow down, but we finally did it so, today we bring you—in GIF form, nonetheless—our top five ways to try this season. From a laid-back drape to the classic tie, we think you’re going to love these styling tips.

1. The Scarf-Wrap Hybrid

Step 1: Drape your scarf evenly over both shoulders.

Step 2: Tuck one of the front corners back behind the opposite shoulder, underneath the scarf.

Step 3: Secure it.

Step 4: Take the remaining front corner, put it over the opposite shoulder, and tuck it in behind your neck to keep it in place. 

Tip: The bigger the scarf, the better.

2. The Half-Tie

Step 1: Fold your scarf into a rectangle (or leave as is if your scarf is rectangular).

Step 2: Place it evenly over your shoulders and around your neck.

Step 3: Pull one side down so it’s about twice as long as the other.

Step 4: Place the longer side over the opposite shoulder. 

3. The Shoulder Drape

Step 1: Fold your scarf diagonally.

Step 2: Drape it evenly over your shoulders.

Step 3: Pull one side down so it’s slightly longer. 

Step 4: Bring your hands out so the scarf rests in your arms. 

4. The Relaxed Half-Tie

Step 1: Fold your scarf diagonally.

Step 2: Drape it evenly over your shoulders.

Step 3: Scrunch the scarf up onto your shoulder so it’s off your arm on one side.

Step 4: Take the opposite end of the scarf and wrap it over that shoulder. 

5. The Classic Tie

Step 1: Fold your scarf into a rectangle (or leave as is if your scarf is rectangular).

Step 2: Place it evenly over your shoulders and around your neck.

Step 3: Pull one side down so it’s about twice as long as the other.

Step 4: Pull the longer side over the opposite shoulder and around your neck.

Step 5: Tuck the remaining fabric under.
