Here at Who What Wear, we pride ourselves on being uplifters and empowerers of women everywhere, inspiring them and giving them autonomy over their personal style with our stories. One of the ways we hope to do this is by featuring one standout woman each week in our #WomanCrushWednesday series. This week: Brazilian blogger Helena Bordon.
Until fairly recently, Bordon has flown largely under the much larger wings of bloggers like Chiara Ferragni and Aimee Song at Fashion Weeks the world over—sitting front row is no big deal for her, but she's not exactly as easily recognizable as some of the other ladies. But that's all soon changing.
Bordon, who is the daughter of Vogue Brazil style director Donata Meirelles, is one of the most joyfully well-dressed people in the street style game. A glance through even a few of the photos captured of her at shows like Miu Miu, Chanel, and John Galliano is bound to bring a smile to your face—she's almost always snapped laughing or smiling, and her clothes are bright, colorful, statement-making, and unapologetically happy.
If you can't tell, we are crushing on the 28-year-old blogger big time! Keep scrolling for 19 more reasons we're obsessed with Bordon!
It's no secret that street style stars far and wide love a good graphic tee, but how many of them truly look this good while donning Mickey Mouse?
One of the most important/intruiging things about clothing is how it moves when you walk, and Bordon clearly has a poignant understanding of this.
Is she going to a show for Paris Fashion Week, or making calls on the sidelines of a football game? Either way, she looks fantastic.
Who else would be able to wear a chambray button-up under a crop top, pair the duo with boyfriend jeans and mules, and then throw on a tassel bangle just because?
Rare is the woman who looks this good in rainbow camouflage, guys.
Any woman who not only owns a cat sweatshirt but fearlessly wears it to Paris Fashion Week is A-okay in our book.
Seriously, how cute is she?!
Bordon's sense of style is notable because she's not afraid to wear pretty much any combination of colors and prints, and polka dots are one of her favorites.
Mixed prints, fabrics, colorways, and textures are no match for the boldness of Bordon's style.
We already knew the mod era of fashion was coming back into style, but little did we know that the polyester-inspired suit would be making a comeback right along with it. And Bordon seems to be heading the charge.
We love a good turtleneck look, and so does she!
We love how much Bordon loves cats.
Once again, Bordon proves that she doesn't fear wearing two clashing prints.
Gold tiger-print platform pumps are not for everyone.
There's little doubt in our minds that Bordon could afford and does wear Balmain, but she shows her cool factor by also sometimes wearing the parody brand Alex and Chloe.
This clutch is almost too cool to function.
Because of course she did!
While we (somewhat obviously) prefer when Bordon wears extra-colorful and bold outfits, she pulls off all-black very well too.
And finally, we have this stunning look, comprised of a tomboy-ish shirtdress worn under a giant, geometric belt at the waist. And she just looks so happy wearing it!
