These Are the Hat Trends That Will Dominate This Year

Hats aren't always an easy accessory to pull off. Excluding most beanies we bundle up in to save ourselves from the cold, hats make a bold statement when they're worn for anything beyond comfort. And although they're a tricky piece to style, when they top off the right look, the results are extra impactful. For this reason, hats are a mainstay of fashion accessories—though the trending styles vary from season to season. Right now there are some daring hat styles that have taken favor among the fashion set—including Western-inspired Stetsons, '90s era biker hats, and yes, even bucket hats (with a fashionable twist). These are the hat trends we'll be seeing everywhere in 2018.

Bella Hadid made biker hats something of her signature early last year—even debuting a patent leather version from her collaboration with Chrome Hearts.

Patent leather biker hats have since popped up all over the fashion week street style scene and it doesn't look like the trend will be slowing down anytime soon.

Even regular leather versions make for an eye-catching and decidedly '90s statement.

With fashion powerhouses like Loewe and Dior releasing Stetsons among their accessory offerings, the Western hat has made its way back into street stylings around the world.

Others go bolder with a statement Stetson that makes the outfit.

Stetsons look right at home with a Western-inspired getup. Go bold from head to toe by wearing a Canadian tuxedo topped off with the iconic hat.

Though certainly a controversial style, bucket hats have made their way back into popularity among the fashion set.

There will probably never be a season when the beret isn't a fashion favorite.
