As much as we love a good deal here at Who What Wear, we don't exactly think of thrift store Goodwill as the best place to go for designer deals. But now, we're going to start: The chain has begun opening high-end boutiques carrying designer wares.
According to The Los Angeles Times, Goodwill has already opened 60 boutiques nationwide, in cities from L.A. to Chicago and beyond. A visit to the latest outpost in Huntington Beach, California, revealed a pair of Stuart Weitzman pumps going for a measly $13—something we can definitely get behind, especially since it's for a good cause. (Goodwill donates all proceeds from sales to underprivileged people in local communities.)
The organization's local California president explains that the expansion of the upscale boutiques is an attempt to compete with other designer resale chains like Buffalo Exchange. We can't wait to check out the designer pieces Goodwill has to offer!
