Happy Golden Globes day! The most fun of all the awards shows is officially upon us, and some of the biggest stars in Hollywood will soon hit the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton. The extensive list of nominees happens to also include a few of our favorite style icons and we can’t wait to see what they’ll be wearing.
While a lot goes into choosing a gown for an awards show, we have our own dream dress list in mind for the stars. Keep scrolling to see our designer picks for Amy Adams, Reese Witherspoon, and many more ladies at the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards!
Our Pick: Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 15
While Adams’s red carpet style runs the gamut from sleek and modern to romantic and girly, we think she would look just lovely in this slightly edgy black lace dress with gold metallic accents.
Our Pick: Jason Wu Pre-Fall 15
The star of Orange Is the New Black has the sort of figure that can really get away with anything—but she looks especially good in a barely-there, slinky gown with a ‘90s-inspired spaghetti-strap silhouette. Bingo!
Our Pick: Cushnie et Ochs Pre-Fall 15
Yes, this is a jumpsuit. We think it’d be fun of Pike to pay homage to her Gone Girl character by wearing an architecturally-inspired, sharp jumpsuit in an unapologetic shade like deep purple. It would just be so fierce.
Our Pick: Naeem Khan Pre-Fall 15
The House of Cards star is well-versed in all things fashion, and she also knows how to show off her best assets. Her clavicle is begging for a moment in the spotlight, which this Victorian-inspired Naeem Khan gown would certainly provide. A halo diamond choker would finish off the look.
Our Pick: Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 15
Witherspoon’s personal style is summed up with two words: incredibly ladylike. This mesh-and-metallic dress from Prabal Gurung fits the bills, while also being modern.
Our Pick: Dolce & Gabbana S/S 15
Knightley has been branching out from Chanel lately, and her pregnancy means she needs to be particular about the fabric and silhouette she opts for. We think the expectant star would radiate in this playful lace-and-applique dress from Dolce & Gabbana’s S/S 15 collection.
Our Pick: Tom Ford F/W 14
Moore’s red carpet go-to is her close friend Tom Ford, and we expect no different from her this year. The daring color and slinky silhouette would turn the star into the ultimate ‘70s bombshell. Imagine it with a sleek updo and an exaggerated cat eye.
Our Pick: Reem Acra Pre-Fall 15
The stunning star of A Most Violent Year would look like the ultimate goth queen in this black lace creation from Reem Acra’s Pre-Fall 15 collection. We can see her topping it off with a glorious diamond choker for a super-glam look.
Our Pick: Nina Ricci S/S 15
Simplicity is key for Aniston, and she’s not afraid to show some skin, which is why this low-cut Nina Ricci gown might be the perfect fit for her. It’s in basic black, but the sheer paneling and skirt make it more of-the-moment, and the neckline will definitely wow.
Our Pick: Valentino Couture 15
We’re obsessed with the Valentino Couture collection (shown in New York last month), in which every single dress was white or cream. There are endless options that are amazing for the red carpet, but this dress’s youthful and the backless silhouette definitely speaks to the S/S 15 trends—making it a perfect pick for stylish Emma Stone.
Our Pick: Elie Saab Pre-Fall 15
She tends to favor a more streamlined silhouette, not as much a ball gown sort of girl. We could imagine her doing something long and sheer, like this look.
Our Pick: Cushnie et Ochs S/S 15
She’s opted for color for past Golden Globes—usually in pinks or reds—but we think she’d really stand out in the season’s boldest color: yellow, in this case marigold.
Our Pick: Roland Mouret Pre-Fall 15
She’s been having fun with the red carpet as of late, so we’d like to see her in something sexy and sophisticated, like this Roland Mouret metallic gown. It’s a little disco glam, not too serious, and would be a chic choice for the red carpet or the ceremony itself (costume change!).
Our Pick: Michael Kors Pre-Fall 15
She likes a structured, strapless gown and often goes for a bold, feminine color. We’d love to see her in this rich red dress from Michael Kors’ Pre-Fall 15 collection, which would look incredible with her coloring.
