Gigi Hadid is notorious for many things: her killer style, beautiful face, massive social media presence, famous besties, and an equally famous beau. But an interest in crime scenes? No, that’s never been one of our associations with the top model—well, until now. In the latest issue of AdWeek, the cover of which features Hadid, the 19-year-old reveals that she initially moved to New York City to pursue a criminal psychology degree at The New School.
She doesn’t elaborate, unfortunately, but it’s a great reminder that what we see on social media is only a small part of someone’s full picture—no matter how much the spotlight follows them around. Though the model decided to take a leave of absence from school when her fashion career quickly picked up steam, she seems to have taken a page from Karlie Kloss' book, saying that she hopes to someday pick up where she left off. After all, modeling isn’t the most reliable career in the long term, and as Hadid notes, "It's not just OK anymore to model until you're 25 and then stop and be a housewife." So what might she do instead? "Who knows? I could always be a fact checker on CSI."
