Talk about romance and drama: When Frida Kahlo passed away in 1954, her husband, Diego Rivera, put all her possessions in a bathroom inside their Mexico City home and demanded that it remain locked until 15 years after his own death. Now we're finally getting our first look at some of those items. The items were initially removed from the bathroom back in 2004, and photographer Ishiuchi Miyako created an archive of the objects by shooting them one by one. His photos are just now being shown to the world for the first time, in an exhibit at London's Michael Hoppen Gallery. Fortunately for those of us on the other side of the pond, The Guardian published a few of the images. Keep scrolling to see some of the prized items from Frida Kahlo's personal collection.
