If there’s one store that’s synonymous with California, it’s Fred Segal, the iconic upscale retailer that’s been a celebrity favorite since the ’60s. But up until now, you had to be either a California or Tokyo resident (the retailer launched an outpost there in April) to shop the store’s expertly curated selection (known especially for its denim offerings).
Much to our excitement, though, the retailer has finally launched an e-commerce platform today that, along with selling top brands like Ksubi and Mother, will feature insightful fashion content based around revolving themes. And the first topic? Denim, of course! Contributers include actress Sasha Spielberg, stylist—and Mary-Kate and Ashley pal—Molly Fishkin, and Worn Stories creator Emily Spivack. And to make sure that all digital bases are covered, the retailer has also launched Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter accounts. They may be a little late to the game, but very fashionably late, if we do say so ourselves.
