While I love watching my favorite comfort TV show (Gilmore Girls, of course) to wind down, I often resort to YouTube videos—beauty videos specifically. Despite growing up watching tutorials by all kinds of makeup gurus, celebrity videos are what catch my eye. From Vogue's Beauty Secrets to stars uploading on their own channels, I'm always curious to know the ins and outs of their makeup routines. Considering they spend a great amount of time in the makeup chair with the most talented artists in front of them, it's natural that they'd take in a plethora of tips along the way.

While I may have the time to sit through beauty routines for hours (I have a life, I swear!), I understand that not everyone can make time for it in their day. To give insight into what I've learned from different celebrities, I listed each tip I've put into my routine and the celebrity who taught it to me. By layering a darker color and a lighter color, you're able to achieve the perfect line that blends into your lipstick.

The Tip: On Blemishes, Let Concealer Sit For a While Before Blending

I'm always in a rush, so I often quickly blend my concealer on my blemishes and it often doesn't do much to cover it up. Camila shared in her routine she applies a dot of concealer onto the blemish and then lets it sit for the remainder of her routine and blends at the end. This way, the concealer sets to the warmth of your skin and gives more coverage.

The Tip: A Tooth Brush Makes a Great Brow Brush

Yes, you read that right. When Alexa Chung was filming her video for Vogue, she misplaced her brow brush and decided to hack it out with a toothbrush. I'm always misplacing my brow brush, and I don't know why I never thought to use a toothbrush. It sounds silly, but watch the video for yourself and see how well it works to give your brows that perfect fluff.

Save for a few tennis matches and some photos from earlier in the 2000s, it's rare to see Anna Wintour dressed down. As you know, she usually sticks to midi skirts and dresses with heels. But earlier this month came a photo of her wearing sweatpants and a striped sweater at home, and now, we've been given a glimpse of her casual footwear. 

Vogue just posted a photo of Wintour exercising on its Instagram, tracksuit (which is by Tory Sport by Tory Burch, and you can shop it below), big sunglasses, and all. The post is accompanied by a message from Wintour about how she's changing her routine to add structure to her days. In the photo, Wintour wears a chic navy-blue tracksuit and a pair of black-and-white Nike sneakers with a thick sole. They appear to be more tennis/court sneakers than running shoes, which would make sense given that Wintour is an avid tennis fan. It doesn't get more classic than a pair of black-and-white Nike sneakers, so it's not surprising that Wintour would choose them.

If you love Anna Wintour and Taylor Swift, you're in for a treat. In the latest edition of Vogue's video series Go Ask Anna, Swift took over and asked all of the questions herself. But it wasn't just a random thing—at the end of the video, Swift announced that she landed the coveted September issue cover, which is perfectly timed with her soon-to-be-released album, Lover.

Swift's questions for Wintour ran the gamut from the highest compliment she could pay someone to what character she'd play in Cats, but the one fashion-related question was a good one. Swift asked what trend from the last couple of years she wishes never existed. Wintour responded that after just being in Paris for the couture shows, she had seen "far too many neon leopard-print leggings, something that I would definitely not want to see again." Can't argue with that. Take note for the upcoming fashion month, folks.

Yesterday British Vogue announced very exciting news: None other than Meghan Markle is the guest editor of the famed glossy's September issue. Today, the magazine revealed arguably the most enlightening part of the issue, the Duchess of Sussex's brilliant interview with Michelle Obama. Can you think of a more formidable duo?

Markle asked Obama only six questions, so you know she put careful consideration into each and every one. Three of the questions centered on motherhood, which shouldn't be surprising given that Markle is a new mom to baby Archie, and Obama knows a thing or two about raising children in the spotlight. Naturally, Obama's answers were incredibly insightful. "Motherhood has taught me that, most of the time, my job is to give them the space to explore and develop into the people they want to be," Obama responded. "Not who I want them to be or who I wish I was at that age, but who they are, deep inside." 1. What has motherhood taught you?

"Being a mother has been a masterclass in letting go," Obama told Markle. "Try as we might, there’s only so much we can control. And, boy, have I tried – especially at first. Obama then went on to explain how her two daughters are different from each other and how neither approach to life is better or worse. 

2. What advice do you give your daughters?

"Don't just check the boxes you think you're supposed to check, like I did when I was their age," Obama responded. "I tell them that I hope they'll keep trying on new experiences until they find what feels right. And what felt right yesterday might not necessarily feel right today. That's OK – it's good, even. When I was in college, I thought I wanted to be a lawyer because it sounded like a job for good, respectable people. It took me a few years to listen to my intuition and find a path that fit better for who I was, inside and out."

3. How would that advice be different if you were offering it to sons? Or would it be the same? 

"It would be exactly the same," Obama told Markle and British Vogue. "My parents, particularly my father, taught my brother and me at an early age to treat boys and girls exactly the same."

Back in September, I waxed poetic about the positive side effects of paying closer attention to the width of your shoes—the reason being that I tragically have bunions and subsequently can't wear certain types of footwear unless I care to subject myself to severe pain and discomfort. Thanks to a few wise words from my podiatrist, I realized the reason I was experiencing shooting pain up and down my foot simply from walking (tragic, I told you) was due to the fact that I was wearing shoes that were too narrow. I'd thought that by foregoing heels, I was doing everything in my power to aid the situation, but in fact, I was making it worse with my pointed-toe booties and flats. Once I corrected my ways, my bunion woes became a thing of the past. However, now that fall is here and I can no longer wear open-toe sandals, I have to admit I'm slightly concerned about these issues rearising—until I read a recent Vogue article highlighting a shoe trend that might help (in part) to solve my concerns. I've always had an affinity for fashion that feels like you inherited it from your grandmother: brooches, blazers with shoulder pads, clip-on earrings, square-toe shoes… The latter, thankfully, was dubbed one of the five shoe styles you must try for fall. Vogue calls them The Power Flat. Aside from their subtle, unexpected nature, these shoes also happen to be less narrow than pointed-toe options. At London Fashion Week, more than one person asked me, "Who's that girl who is always next to Edward Enninful [of British Vogue]? She has the best outfits this week." The answer is his executive assistant, Deborah Ababio. Here at Who What Wear UK, we're always looking for the next big street style star, and we're certain Ababio is about to be a regular feature in street style galleries. Instead of wearing blend-into-the-background all-black outfits other assistants often lean on, Deborah Ababiowears a lot of colour and statement accessories (she's usually wearing either a beret or a pair of quirky sunglasses). After much speculation, the cover of Vogue's September issue is finally here, featuring Beyoncé in all her glory. The set of two covers and accompanying spread was shot by 23-year-old photographer Tyler Mitchell, a purposeful statement made by both Beyoncé and the magazine. "Not only is an African American on the cover of the most important month for Vogue," the singer told Clover Hope. "This is the first-ever Vogue cover shot by an African American photographer."

Inside the issue, Beyoncé shares in an essay-format piece her thoughts on everything from her pregnancies and her changing body to her personal journey, sharing intimacies rarely revealed by the usually private star. Beyoncé also discusses the fact that as she finds confidence and power in her success, she finds it important to open the doors for those who follow her. She says, "if people in powerful positions continue to hire and cast only people who look like them, sound like them, come from the same neighborhoods they grew up in, they will never have a greater understanding of experiences different from their own."

Oprah may be no stranger to cover shoots (she fronts her own O Magazine, don't forget). But now the multi-hyphenate is the cover star for British Vogue, posing for photographers Mert and Marcus for the magazine's August issue. Styled by the publication's editor in chief, Edward Enninful, Oprah takes black-tie dressing to new heights, wearing custom gowns and lots of diamonds throughout the spread.

In the accompanying interview, Winfrey talks politics, responding to rumors about a future political run, "In that political structure—all the non-truths, the bullshit, the crap, the nastiness, the backhanded backroom stuff that goes on—I feel like I could not exist," she said. "I would not be able to do it. It's not a clean business. It would kill me."

Additionally, Oprah touched on the current political climate, speaking out about the #MeToo movement, "People talk about 'these are such dark times,' but what if we shift the paradigm? Because I see it differently," she noted. "I see, 'Isn't this remarkable that we're waking up?' For years, women have endured craziness. This is what's happening to people. They're allowing themselves to not just become corroded, but to become hysterical. You've got to lean to the happiness."

Oprah shared that while she was originally meant to wear a cream-colored Stella McCartney look to the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, she realized two days before that it "looked white, not cream. I Googled, 'Can you wear white to a wedding?' Answer: 'No, don't risk it.'" So, in a last-minute swap, McCartney created the pink ensemble Oprah shared in the Instagram photo above.

Amal Clooney just landed her first Vogue cover, and in short, it's simply stunning (and it was well worth the wait).

The fashion publication took to Instagram early this morning to unveil the front of the glossy (shot by none other than Annie Leibovitz), on which Clooney, subtly smiling with wind-blown hair, is dressed in Alexander McQueen. Sheer perfection, if you ask us.

For the cover story, Clooney invited writer Nathan Heller into her home—hence the headline, "Inside the World of Amal Clooney"—where she opened up about balancing her work (as a barrister in international human rights law), fashion, motherhood, and her relationship with George Clooney.

But it wasn't only Clooney whom Heller spoke to for the feature. He also interviewed several members of her family, as well as her husband, George, who shared the sweetest details about how he felt the moment he first met her.

"Of course, she was beautiful," George told the publication. "But I also thought she was fascinating, and I thought she was brilliant. Her life was incredibly exciting—the clients she was taking on and the superhuman work that she was doing. I was taken with her from the moment I saw her."

After that first encounter, the two stayed in touch via email. As Heller writes about the couple's relationship from early on, "they became friends; they stayed in touch. Amal is a big emailer, and George responded with a clownish gambit, writing her repeated notes in the voice of his dog Einstein, who claimed to be trapped in various places and in need of legal rescue." Williams took to Instagram this morning to post the stunning cover, which was photographed by Mario Testino, writing, "When I first saw this @voguemagazine cover it brought tears to my eyes. All Vogue covers are special but to share this one with my beautiful daughter @olympiaohanian also the youngest Vogue cover star makes it moment I will never forget. The article is a must-read." Over the past 12 months, several changes and shifts have been made in the fashion world to make it a more inclusive and accepting industry. And thankfully, there are no signs of this slowing down anytime soon. While much of the progress showcased itself in the form of more size-inclusive clothing launches or the fact that this year's fashion month was the most diverse in history, other forward-making moves were documented on the covers of some of our favorite glossies, by featuring women of all ages, races, and identities.

Jane Fonda made a powerful statement by appearing completely un-retouched on the cover of Town & Country, while Vogue Italia's October issue starred the always-stunning Lauren Hutton, who is now the oldest woman ever to appear on a Vogue cover (record-breaking, indeed!). The French edition of the magazine cast, for the first time in history, a transgender model to grace the esteemed glossy. And the July cover of Allure featured its first-ever hijab-wearing cover model, Halima Aden. 

On one of the final print issues of Teen Vogue, the magazine featured the first female presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, on its cover, rather than casting a model or actress. And while it may be the end for Teen Vogue's print edition, British Vogue entered a new era under the direction of Editor in Chief Edward Enninful, whose first vintage-inspired cover, which starred Adwoa Aboah, blew people away.

Sure, these days, it's not surprising to spot Gigi Hadid in the pages of Vogue. The model has landed covers across the publication's many international issues and starred in shoots that span the globe (like her romantic Italian spread with boyfriend Zayn Malik). But it turns out Gigi Hadid's Vogue history stretches back surprisingly far.

Yesterday, the model reached out to her fans on Twitter, requesting help to find a picture of herself at five years old, photobombing a Vogue Paris photo shoot. Almost immediately, a follower shared the shot. In it, Gigi holds a toy Eiffel Tower and wears a simple white-and-gray outfit while standing in front of a model who's wearing head to toe Emanuel Ungaro. While there was no way to know then that Gigi would become one of the world's top models, it's impressive to see her posing in the pages of a top magazine way back when.

It's been a great start to the year for 19-year-old Paris Jackson as she bursts onto the fashion scene using modelling as her springboard. Having recently been featured on the covers of international fashion magazines, such as Harper's Bazaar and CR Fashion Book, we knew it wouldn't be long before she hit the front page of an Australian publication. Gracing the cover of Vogue Australia, Jackson also shares with the magazine (via text) her thoughts on change, “I really want to leave a positive imprint in the fashion world,” she says. 

The July issue, which hits newsstands on the June 26, features Jackson wearing a matching blue and yellow Prada ensemble styled by Vogue Australia Fashion Director Christine Centenera and photographed by Patrick Demarchelier. Baring her tattoos and piercings, it's clear Jackson's staying true to herself and embracing the difference she wants to make on the industry. Look out Hailey and Kendall, there's a new kid on the block.

The annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund show was held in Los Angeles yesterday at the Chateau Marmont hotel and hosted by Kate Spade New York’s Deborah Lloyd, Mark Holgate, Lisa Love, and Emma Stone. The event sees 10 emerging designers hand their collections over to the Vogue team to present them to an A-list crowd, including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Nicole Richie. Following the presentation, the crowd is treated to an L.A.-style tea party to relax and mingle. J.Crew’s Jenna Lyons told Vogue “I think all of the designers are relaxed because they’ve submitted their clothes and someone else is putting them together.”

Supporting emerging talent in the fashion industry is important—it encourages creativity and brings a breath of fresh air to the American fashion industry. Next month, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist will be announced, and will take home a prize of almost $500,000. Not a bad sum for an emerging designer. Past winners have included Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler, and Rodarte, so you can be sure that whoever wins, will become a household name.

It's hard to name one thing that Grace Coddington is most well known for. Aside from her overarching legacy as the creative director at Vogue, there's her fiery red hair, her dramatic and memorable photo shoots, her origins as a model, and even her fierce love for cats. Although we didn't think it was possible, we have yet another thing to add to the list of memorable things about her—her fashion illustrations.

As of late, she posts more illustrations to her Instagram than actual photos, but we're totally here for it. The quirky drawings represent everything from a beautiful tribute to photographer Bill Cunningham to a video résumé of her hair. We can't get enough of them, so please, keep them coming.

From the very British confines of the National Gallery in London's Trafalgar Square, last night British Vogue magazine brought the great and good—and the very very fashionable—together for a celebration. The museum's new exhibition is Vogue 100: A Century of Style, so you can imagine the pressure was on for attendees to get their looks absolutely right for the occasion. On a dreary, drizzly, stormy night, it's no wonder the chic crowds—including Suki Waterhouse, Karlie Kloss and Lily Donaldson—knew that wearing some iteration of the little black dress would be a safe, but surely effective, bet.
