Like many people, I've always idolized Victoria's Secret Angels. With their bombshell blowouts, couture crystal-studded wings, and luminous skin, they epitomize glitz, glamour, and strength. Seriously, how do they make strutting down a runway in stilettos and 50-pound wings look so graceful and effortless? To learn what an Angel's regimen really entails, I caught up with veteran Victoria's Secret Angel, supermodel, and mom Martha Hunt to chat all things wellness and beauty. And spoiler: You don't have to be a runway model to copy her tips.

"My relationship with beauty and wellness evolved naturally through my career," she tells me. "Since becoming a mother, I became more curious about what actually supports my energy, digestion, sleep, and overall balance, and not just what looks good on the outside."

She notes that your wellness routine should be unique to you, but that having a sustainable routine and listening to your body is important for everyone. "I've learned that small, intentional habits add up far more than extremes, and that mindset has really shaped how I approach both beauty and self-care today."

What are the best wellness tips you learned backstage or on set?

The biggest lesson is preparation over perfection. Consistent hydration, nourishing your body, and resting properly matter far more than last-minute fixes. I also learned the importance of recovery. Long days and travel take a toll, so supporting your body with smart nutrition and gentle resets makes a noticeable difference, especially during busy seasons.

Speaking of resets—what are the self-care habits you'll be doing to feel your best this year? And how can someone incorporate these into their everyday routine?

The New Year always feels like a natural moment to check in, not overhaul. Wellness doesn't have to be all or nothing. Drinking more water, adding protein to your day, moving your body in a way you enjoy—those things are accessible and impactful. I always focus on getting back to basics with movement, hydration, and meals that make me feel good. I also love incorporating short resets when I need them, especially after the holidays or travel. I'm big on routines that feel supportive rather than rigid. Whether that's carving out quiet mornings, prioritizing sleep, or doing something structured like the Pressed two-day reset, it's all about starting the year feeling grounded instead of rushed.

Yep, my jaw is still on the floor since witnessing the pink, jewel-encrusted magic that is the 2025 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The looks! The wings! The blowouts! All of it was sensational from the moment Jasmine Tookes floated down the runway wearing a golden netted one-piece, her gorgeous baby bump on full display. The model clearly had an extra glow about her, one that shines from the inside out; still, her skin alone was practically radiating from my TV screen, thanks to the shimmery body oil she wore from head to toe.

And just like that, the 2025 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show has come and gone. All day, we enjoyed incredible backstage content featuring stunning models or Angels like Candice Swanepoel, Gigi Hadid, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, and Angel Reese as they prepared to walk the runway. As if the day couldn't get any better, at the eleventh hour, supermodel Bella Hadid, who wasn't officially announced, was seen in NYC heading to the show. The Who What Wear team couldn't contain their excitement, eager to see what glamorous angel wings, bold makeup, bombshell hairstyle, and elegant lingerie she would wear. Finally, Hadid made her presence felt on the runway, not just once but twice, showcasing two very different yet sexy looks. The first? A bold, head-to-toe red outfit. And our favorite—a stunning silver-fringed lingerie look.

Not only did we enjoy the retro showgirl glamour that the second outfit evoked, but we also loved how the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show executive creative director, Adam Selman, added a sexy twist to a fashion trend expected to dominate next year: fringe.

During the spring 2026 fashion season, which just wrapped last week, fringe was everywhere—and I seriously mean everywhere. From New York to Paris, collections by designers like Fforme, Ulla Johnson, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Valentino, Balmain, and even Chanel showcased fringe on dresses, jackets, scarves, bags, and skirts, providing movement, dimension, and texture for both visual and tactile appeal. The same effect was seen with Hadid's metallic fringed bra, which was attached to a sultry, fringed skirt and layered over white lace underwear. The Fringe Trend in the Spring 2026 Runway Collections

Gigi Hadid is no stranger to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and her walk is always one of the most memorable, from her 2015 debut as a "Pink girl" to last year's glittery pink teddy for the show's return to New York in 2024. This year, well, let's just say the performance went straight to the top of her all-time hits, and not just because the supermodel looked fantastic on the runway to the soundtrack of Madison Beer singing "Make You Mine" sultrily in the background, surrounded by fan dancers. Her look also made a strong statement about the state of lingerie in 2025—without Hadid having to say a single word. The message: Thongs, you're done. It's time for the return of boy shorts.

After years of thong supremacy, it would take a lot for them to be dethroned, but Hadid kicking off her night in a pair of hot-pink lace boy shorts might just be impactful enough to get the job done. With the "dated" lingerie trend, she wore a matching longline bra (bedazzled with tiny rhinestones), another oft-forgotten piece in the vast world of undergarments, as well as a voluminous pink cape made of flowers that draped behind her throughout her walk. To complete the ensemble, she strutted in a pair of strappy pink heeled sandals.

She wasn't the only model at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show that ditched more expected thongs for boy-short underwear. Alex Consani and Adriana Lima both, too, donned boy shorts on the catwalk. Plus, adding to this claim, Hadid's second look didn't feature the no-lines bottoms either. Instead, she wore a white, corset one-piece with flowy attached shorts that accompanied her supersized matching wings. A coincidence? We think not.

Sure, thongs will never be truly "out." They're too practical to leave our underwear drawers for good. Will boy shorts, however, come back to give them a run for their money in 2025? All signs point to yes.

"We solemnly swear not to slick-back the hair," Victoria's Secret wrote in a recent Instagram Reel weeks before the iconic runway show. Polished, slicked-back styles certainly dominated the looks last year, much to the dismay of fans craving that bombshell, VS Angel-level bounce. Rest assured, the big, sexy blowouts are back this year—just with a modern 2025 edge.

In an interview with Zanna Roberts Rassi backstage, the show's lead hairstylist Jawara reveals he wanted to create a modern version of the big, bouncy blowout. "It’s a little sleeker than usual," he shares. "Still voluminous waves and curls, but sleeker towards the ends. [It's] a bit more modern, [a] bit more sexy."

To create the look, he first applies thickening spray on models' roots, then blow-dries hair in sections "against the grain" to encourage volume at the crown. (Translation: Pull each section of hair upwards as you blow-dry.) "Blow it against the root," he advises, using a "really hot blow-dryer" to ensure a smooth, bouncy finish. (Model Paloma Elsesser is quick to chime in: A good blow-dryer makes all the difference.)

Once the section is completely dry, "Back-comb it a little bit, add texturizing spray, and let it sit," he shares. After models get their makeup done, he unravels the pins (he decided to use pins instead of rollers tonight, he tells Who What Wear backstage) and brushes out the curls depending on models' preferred parting: side, center, or fully brushed back. And there you have it! Still classically VS, but with sleeker, more polished ends. A very happy medium, if you ask me.

“I’m going to be a Victoria’s Secret model one day." This is what Angel Reese posted to her Instagram Story last October after attending the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show as a guest, as opposed to one of the models. (At 6′3″, the Chicago Sky forward, known during her college years at Louisiana State University as the "Bayou Barbie," would have fit right in with the Angels on the runway.) Since its debut in 1995, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show has been one of the industry's most talked-about spectacles. Over the years, the event became famous for over-the-top styling (think million-dollar "Fantasy Bras," elaborate angel wings, and themed runway segments), anchored by the brand's roster of stylish supermodels and buzzy musical performances. Remember when Taylor Swift sang on the runway in 2013 and 2014?

It's Christmas in July! Well, at least it feels like that for avid Victoria's Secret shoppers because the much-buzzed-about new Body by Victoria FlexFactor Bra officially debuts today. Ahead of the launch, we sat down with one of the stars of the campaign, 23-year-old model Devyn Garcia, to get the scoop on her favorite pieces in the new collection, her most memorable career moments, and her summer must-haves. Congratulations on the new Body by Victoria FlexFactor campaign! This is the first creative campaign under Adam Selman’s purview. What was the energy like on set?

Working with Adam and his team was exciting, and I am looking forward to seeing more of his vision brought to life. The energy on set with Adam was overall fantastic as we had lots of laughs, and it was very playful while still being productive. Shooting with Paloma [Elsesser], Candice [Swanepoel], and Dakota [Moore-Lizotte] was a lot of fun as well. I found out that two of them are birthday twins, which of course led to a lot of astrology talk.

The new bra is designed to have a "better than braless" feel. How would you describe the fit, and how does it differ from other bras you've worn?

The FlexFactor bra has a supportive fit and molds to my body perfectly without feeling constricted in my movements. I enjoy biking around the city, so having a bra that feels secure is necessary. This one feels different because I can wear something a little on the sexier side while still moving freely. It’s truly a testament to the brand's commitment to creating products that are both beautiful and comfortable.

You’ve been a part of some amazing moments with Victoria's Secret, including walking in the VS Fashion Show. What was that experience like?

Oh, everything was unexpected! I could not believe how nervous everyone was—even the veterans. This made me remember that everyone is human no matter how beautiful, famous, or successful one is. I had to snap myself back into reality and mentally repeat, "I'm walking this show!" as we got closer to showtime. It was an amazing experience working with all the creatives, and I felt very fortunate and proud to be a part of the VS family. It is priceless moments like this that remind me how special my job is and how much I love it.

We know you're a Miami native, so you're a pro at summer style. What are your three favorite summer trends right now?

I've worn the same summer staples all my life! My first go-to is definitely wearing a hat! It is the easiest and most stylish way to protect your face from the sun. My second staple is all-natural fabrics like linen or cotton because they're breathable. Lastly, my favorite staple is a flip-flop, which is one of this summer’s biggest trends. I grew up in Havaianas, so it’s cool to see them make a comeback. My favorite summer outfit is a white or black tank top, linen flowy wide-leg pants, flip-flops, and a trucker hat. If I’m feeling extra cautious of the sun, I’ll also throw on a flowy linen button-up shirt to cover my shoulders.

As you get ready for summer travel, do you have any packing hacks you swear by?

I usually start planning my summer vacation a year in advance! I always go somewhere where there’s a body of water. Jumping in the sea is essential for me to feel rejuvenated. My essential item is, therefore, a sarong or two! I also have at least two bikinis and a rash guard if I’m going surfing. Wearing a rash guard when surfing helps protect my arms and back from the sun. Packing cubes are essential when traveling, as they keep everything organized and can help save room, [and] my suitcase is always filled to the brim!

When I was growing up, I religiously tuned into the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show every fall. I loved watching the Angels grace the runway in their extravagant lingerie and multimillion-dollar fantasy bras. One of my favorite models was Miranda Kerr. She has a glowing aura and down-to-earth humility that's as rare as the diamond- and aquamarine-embellished fantasy bra she wore for the 2011 runway show. I recently got the opportunity to chat with the supermodel, and thankfully, she didn't shy away from sharing her beauty secrets. Skin prep: "One of the best tips I picked up backstage is the importance of skin prep," she tells me. "Starting with a clean, exfoliated base makes all the difference."

Facial massage: "I still swear by facial massage and using a cold tool like our Rose Quartz Gua Sha ($67) to de-puff and boost circulation before makeup."

Face oil: "Mix a few drops of face oil into your foundation for a dewy, radiant finish. It gives that lit-from-within glow that always photographs beautifully."

This is the big comeback year for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The revival of fashion's biggest lingerie runway after a six-year hiatus brought out the most iconic models in the game, from Tyra Banks and Carla Bruni to Kate Moss and both Hadid sisters. Not to mention, there was an epic performance by pop icon Cher.

With the Angels back in a big way, beauty TikTokers took it upon themselves to create their own versions of Victora's Secret Angel makeup. What is Victoria's Secret Angel makeup, you ask? It's right at the intersection of glamorous and natural with a glossy lip and the real star of the show—a flushed, seductive blushed cheek.

These fit-for-an-angel cheeks came to be with red blush. If you head to beauty TikTok, you can find tons of videos of people swapping their traditional pink and peach for a bold cherry and raking in thousands of likes, shares, and comments.

As a blush connoisseur myself, I decided to take a stab at the trend and take you guys on the journey with me. Keep scrolling to see the results for yourself.

Since I have oily skin, I start my blush looks out with a powder base before I go in and add a cream blush. This technique has been dubbed the Patrick Ta method on TikTok by beauty fans due to his signature Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo having both a powder and a cream in the same product, but I have been doing this ever since I started using blush in high school. My favorite red powder blush is Nars's Talc-Free Powder Blush in Exhibit A. It's incredibly pigmented and lasts for months. I usually need to replace this blush only once a year.

It's the ultimate fiery red in my opinion. When you first apply the blush, you may think you look a bit like a clown, but once you blend it out (I used the Refy Duo Face Brush), it leaves a slightly sunburnt, flirty hue that I love. Next, layer on your liquid blush of choice. I reach for my Skin by Ella Rose Blush Crème in Ladybug and tap the blush applicator on the high points of my cheekbones, blending with my Refy Dual Ended Complexion Brush. This leaves a dewy, skin-like finish on my cheeks that primes my skin for any additional highlighter I may want to use.

TikTok has a way of recycling old beauty trends and making them fresh for a modern (i.e., Gen Z) audience. Knowing that, we weren't all that surprised to see matte foundations make a return thanks to the "cloud skin" trend. We weren't even all that surprised to see short nails come back in style after years of long-nail dominance. Sure, it helped that It girls like Olivia Rodrigo, Selena Gomez, and Sofia Richie Grainge cosigned the trend, but still. Some TikTok trends just aren't all that shocking.

With that being said, there is one that we never saw coming—Victoria's Secret makeup. Yep, we're talking about the makeup looks that early to mid-2000s supermodels such as Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio made iconic. Celebrity makeup artist Andrea DiSabatino knows the look well. "In the early 2000s, the Victoria's Secret allure was defined by voluminous wavy hair, sultry smoky and shimmering eyes, a sun-kissed radiance, glossy lips, and fluttering lashes," she says. "This aesthetic was a blend of natural allure and sexy glamour."

At first, we despaired that this look (and time period) were already old enough to recycle, but then we reminded ourselves that TikTok loves to reference the 2000s. Early to mid-aughts trends like frosted eye shadow and body shimmer are proof. This is just the latest obsession, and honestly, we get it. As burgeoning beauty editors who grew up watching Victoria's Secret fashion shows, we remember marveling at all the models' glowing makeup looks. Luckily, re-creating these looks (and modernizing them) is actually quite simple.

 If you look at any one of Hailey Bieber's daytime street style looks from this summer, you'll start to see a pattern. She wears a lot of white T-shirts. As such, I got the opportunity to talk all things lingerie with the Rhode founder. In addition to finally finding out the details of her miracle bra for wearing under white tees, I learned about the pajamas she's the most confident in, how she feels about working with her idols, and the three lingerie trends that she's been obsessing over this year. What's your favorite VS bra to wear with white T-shirts and tank tops?

I am such a fan of the Victoria's Secret T-Shirt Bra! I shot the campaign with VS last year, and it has been a fave of mine ever since. It's perfect for every day because it's so comfortable and supportive and is smooth under so many tops!

What's your first memory of walking into a VS store, and what do you remember about the experience?

Victoria's Secret has always been a brand that my friends and I loved growing up. I remember loving all the beautiful options of bras and panties and being able to browse and choose my favorites. It feels so full circle that I was able to work alongside such amazing, powerful women within this campaign.

How was shooting the Icon campaign among so many powerful women?

Working with so many women with careers that I have admired for as long as I can remember has been a dream come true. The energy on set was so fun, and I love how we all continue to be so celebratory of one another and all that we have accomplished.

Why did you decide to work with VS?

I was so excited when the opportunity to work with VS came to life. I have always admired the brand and the amazing women that have helped make VS so iconic. Everyone is so kind and supportive, and it really does feel like working with family every time we're on set—the Icon campaign shoot was no different!

What style of lingerie makes you feel most confident?

I feel most confident in lingerie that I can feel comfortable wearing. One day, confidence can feel like a cozy, silky PJ set, or the next, it can be a fun matching bra and panty. I love that Victoria's Secret has beautiful lingerie options for any vibe, and I can feel like myself wearing it.

In your opinion, what are the top three lingerie trends of 2023?

I've seen a lot of bright colors on lingerie this year. Victoria's Secret has neon-green styles for fall that are stunning and super on-trend! I've also noticed that lingerie as outerwear is big and so are slip dresses! The Icon Collection has these beautiful midi slip dresses that feel so vintage and chic.

Hi, Emira! Did you always want to become a Victoria's Secret model?

When I was younger, I always looked up to Victoria's Secret models. I thought it was such a cool and crazy thing. It's definitely always been on my radar to be in the spotlight. Ever since I was young, I knew what I wanted to do.

What was the process like to become a Victoria's Secret model? I've never known much about what it's like behind the scenes.

Honestly, we didn't think it was going to blow up the way it has! I had a few friends that worked there, and one of my good friends introduced me to her friend who worked there. [Victoria's Secret] had been talking about it for a long time, even before I knew they were in conversations about me before my involvement, which was cool to find out. They started talking to my team, and it just went from there. When it hit the press, it was a crazy moment! It blew up everywhere. We definitely did not expect it to go as hard as it did.

That's honestly so exciting! I'm really excited to hear more about the beauty tips you learned while with Victoria's Secret. Are there any you still embrace today? I know that you've developed a huge following sharing beauty tips in your "get ready with me" videos, but are there any you still carry with you?

With Victoria's Secret, we partnered in February two years ago. Ever since then, I feel like, beauty-wise, I now have so many different tips and tricks that I learned for red carpet makeup. But I do my own glam for everything unless I really have to let someone else do my glam. But I'm really good at makeup, so I love doing it. It's kind of relaxing.

When it comes to specific tips or tricks, I always wear sunscreen, obviously. That's a given. … Using a bullet brush to set powder loosely before you go over it with a powder puff is generally a pretty big game changer. It helps with getting the face to not be as wet, then you can go in with a puff and powder.

What about products? Are there any you've been obsessed with using lately?

Oh, the new Armani blushes are really, really good. I'm obsessed, and they just came out. Charlotte Tilbury's Beautiful Skin Foundation isn't new, but I recently started using it again because sometimes I rotate out products to try new things that I already have in my collection. It's so good for every day! And I feel like literally anything Nars is my favorite. I love Nars!

Where do you find inspiration for your beauty content on TikTok? There's so much out there, and everyone is always coming up with all these different aesthetics. I feel like your videos are always very straight to the point and not leaning too hard into niche content. How did you navigate that as a creator?

I feel like I'm definitely in my own lane. I don't fit into an aesthetic since I'm just me. I don't know how to explain it! It's so unique to me. Even my style of makeup and beauty is very feminine with coquette kind of vibes but still has a little bit of bad bitch in there. It's not falling into a specific category, and that's intentional.

I never wanted to pigeonhole or box myself in because the tips, no matter what your personal aesthetic is, still apply. You can always use recommendations. Even with lifestyle content, I get DMs saying, "I'm so the opposite of you, but you're still entertaining to watch" because it's cool to see a different side of life.

You've also never shied away from speaking about topics that matter to you, especially as we're heading into Pride Month! How do you use your social media platform to take a stand, and what do you hope to share with your audience?

This is actually really interesting because I've been thinking about this a lot as Pride Month has been coming up. For my online platform, I've never [focused] too heavily on activism or talking about injustices because I know that the people who do that are so much better at choosing their words, getting people to join in the movement, and being advocates for the community.

In my mind, I think my role during Pride is to just exist on the internet and show my life! I want to bring people into my world and let people know that, yes, this is what a trans person living in New York can look like, you know?

Representation matters no matter how outspoken you are. For all the people looking up to you, you're taking a stand in your way! Are there any future projects from you we should be on the lookout for?

I've got a few really cool Pride partnerships coming up that are amazing and … maybe some TV moments, so stay tuned!

So exciting! I know we already touched on this, but what would you say is the biggest overall message that you'd like to share with your audience?

I think it's confidence! I've really tried to get people to feel empowered to live in their truth—to find the beauty inside of you and use beauty (with a capital B) to reflect that from the inside out. 

Who would you say is your biggest inspiration when it comes to all things beauty?

Ooh, just one person?!

I know it's such a broad question! To clarify, I think taking inspiration from someone's looks is a big thing, but also, there are those people who are beautiful inside and out as another thing.

Right! I think that, in terms of actual beauty alone, I look to a lot of celebrity makeup artists. That's where I feel like I get a lot of my inspiration from, like Patrick Ta, Makeup by Mario, and Mary Phillips. I look to the OG celebrity makeup artists as inspiration for glam always. And of course, I also take inspiration from a few other of my creator peers. In general, Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga are the two women I look up to the most!

It's been about three years since news broke that Victoria's Secret was discontinuing its swimwear category, but just today, the brand reintroduced swim back onto its e-commerce platform. "Due to overwhelming demand," the brand tells us, it is bringing back a limited selection of some of its most popular swimwear styles. This site's new swimwear selection also includes a variety of swim brands outside of Victoria's Secret including Seafolly, Banana Moon, Lascana, and La Blanca.

The swimwear is modeled by familiar VS faces as well as the newest member of the Angel family, Barbara Palvin. The product selection is full of festive prints, bold colors, and an assortment of basic bikini and one-piece styles. Ahead, shop a curation of swimsuits from Vicotria's Secret.

Every year, we watch the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and make a wish list of what to buy on our next overseas trip. However, things have just gotten a whole lot easier. Victoria's Secret just opened its first flagship store in Australia. 

Today, Melbourne's Chadstone Shopping Centre became the home of Australia's first Victoria's Secret store stocking the best-selling lingerie, Victoria Sport, Victoria's Secret PINK, loungewear, signature scents and beauty collections. 

The first 250 customers who arrived at the launch event received an Angel Kit (the first 50 in line received an Angel Kit to the value of $180, and the following 200 received a kit worth $110). Today is a big day for Australian Victoria's Secret lovers. 

When you think of Victoria's Secret, you think of Adriana Lima. However, the world-renowned model is finally putting away her wings after having walked in what is now 18 Victoria's Secret fashion shows, which she announced on Instagram with a heartfelt post. During this year's show, the model was honored with a nostalgic tribute to her 20 years spent with the brand and closed the show with a tear-filled yet appreciative final walk. 

Before the show, I went backstage to chat with Adriana just hours prior to her farewell moment. We chatted about how she spent her morning preparing for the big day ahead, what she typically wears when she wants to unwind (more on that to come), but also about one of her favorite Victoria's Secret products of all time. Without hesitation, when I asked which VS item she wears on a day-to-day basis, Lima sat up and quickly replied with a firm, "I love push-up bras." 

"It's definitely sexy all the way. I change the materials all the time. You can have a cotton push-up bra—that’s something I wear mostly during the day—but if you want to be a little bit sexier, at night you can choose something with lace," she excitedly explained. While she couldn't dare single out one VS push-up bra in particular, she did inform me of her push-up bra color palette preferences—royal blue, red, black, and white.

"I mean, I am such a girly-girl," she said, "and I love being glamorous, and that includes when I’m in my house lounging. So I'm the type of girl that if I have to make myself feel happy and sexy like when I have my me time, I'm totally going to go and choose the sexiest lingerie, I'm going to put it on, I'm going to go get the most glamorous robe, I'm going to put my heels on, I will have a glass of champagne on my own, and I will watch a classic Hollywood movie. That is so me."

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is one of the biggest events of the fashion calendar and unsurprisingly, the red carpet attracts a long list of celebrities.

This year, the VS show took place in New York City and the red carpet saw the likes of Kris Jenner and Yolanda Hadid—who are attending to support their daughters Bella, Gigi and Kendall—stop by to show off their sartorial best. Performer Rita Ora also walked the carpet, but it was Olivia Palermo's relaxed black velvet suit that really caught our attention.

Adriana Lima has walked her final show for Victoria's Secret. The Brazilian supermodel made her Victoria's Secret debut in 1999 and has since walked in 18 more shows—more than any other angel.

After stepping off the VS runway for the last time today, Adriana took to Instagram to pay tribute to the lingerie brand, captioning a video of her final walk with "Thank you for showing me the world, sharing your secrets, and most importantly not just giving me wings but teaching me to fly."

The 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was massive. Returning to the Big Apple—home of the very first Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 1995—it was an unforgettable production. 60 models from across the globe stormed the runway in intricately detailed looks, while musicians including the likes of Shawn Mendes and Rita Ora performed beside them.

There were four Australian and two New Zealand models walking the runway, Elsa Hosk wore the breathtaking Swarovski crystal-adorned Fantasy Bra and the Victoria's Secret x Mary Katrantzou capsule collection lived up to all expectations. 

The full VSFS is set to officially air on the US ABC Network at 10pm on Sunday, December 2. Unfortunately, there's been no news on where (or when) the VSFS will air on Australian television this weekend, but one way you'll be able to watch it is by setting up a VPN and streaming the show on the ABC Network Live Stream website.

When the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show rolls around every year, one of our favourite parts is seeing which Australian models made the cut. Walking in the show is a massive career milestone for any model, so just to be on that runway can open a lot of doors. In the past, Australian models like Miranda Kerr, Bridget Malcolm and Abbey Lee have all walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and have gone on to have amazing careers.

This year, Australian model Shanina Shaik took to the runway for the sixth time, with first-timers Alannah Walton, Subah Koj and Duckie Thot joining her to fly the Australian flag high. As far as New Zealanders go, Georgia Fowler and first-timer Maia Cotton also walked.

Are you ready? The taping of this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is days away. We already know most of the models who will be participating in the annual over-the-top affair, as well as the 2018 designer collaborator, Mary Katranzou. We still have to wait for the elaborate costume reveals, but we think these chic street style outfits will be more than enough to tide you over.

Update, October 22: The holidays are on the horizon, and you know what that means: The annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is coming. Last year, the retailer teamed up with Balmain on a capsule collection for the show, and now, London-based designer Mary Katrantzou is the lucky collaborator.

Today, VS released a first look at the collection, and we have a feeling the fun, colorfully printed lingerie will sell like crazy. VS Angel Josephine Skriver modeled the matching bra and lacy, high-waisted underwear, which will no doubt be top sellers from the collaboration. And with a runway full of favorite models like Winnie Harlow, Barbara Palvin, Duckie Thot, and others, something tells us this VS Fashion Show will be one for the books. The retailer has already confirmed a handful of models to walk in its annual fashion show extravaganza in December, and it's getting us excited for the over-the-top event.

One of the highlights of the announcements: Winnie Harlow has officially secured her first-ever spot in the show. "I had a break down before I walked into the most nerve wrecking casting of my life," she explained on Instagram. "I asked my driver to go around the block twice before I could walk into the @VictoriasSecret offices so I could recoup, and remember (while my trainer @bodybymato reminded me on the phone through sobs … how hard I’ve been working!"

Update, November 5: Who could use some eye candy to brighten up their Monday? This should do the trick: This year's Victoria's Secret Dream Angels Fantasy Bra has officially been revealed. Elsa Hosk is the lucky Angel to wear the bra this year, which was made by Atelier Swarovski and boasts a whopping 2100 Swarovski-created diamonds totaling 71 carats. Per a press release, the bra took four craftsmen 930 hours to make and is valued at an impressive $1 million. 

Previous wearers of the Fantasy Bra include Gisele Bündchen, Tyra Banks, and Heidi Klum, so you know Hosk is in good company. If you don't have a $1 million lingerie budget, Victoria's Secret has announced that a version of the Fantasy Bra will be available in stores and on its website on November 29. The bra will boast Swarovski crystals and will retail for $250. Scroll down to see the million-dollar sparkling bra for yourself. 

Update, November 1, 2018: The countdown is on. The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show films on November 8 and airs on ABC on December 2. While models like Martha Hunt and Jasmine Tookes have been busy getting their elaborate wings fitted in New York City, the rest of us are bracing ourselves for the over-the-top spectacle.

Victoria's Secret already announced that Mary Katranzou will be this year's designer collaborator (following Balmain in 2017), and now the brand has revealed the show's lineup of performers. I’m not writing this story because I’m obsessed with Blair Waldorf, although I’m fairly certain I used to be. I’m writing it because Blair was pretty much my “introduction” to lingerie. When Gossip Girl first came out, I was in high school. I remember being so entranced by the show that I would wake up extra hour early to watch a new episode before I went to school in the morning, whereas now, the thought of waking up extra hour early for anything makes me want to riot. While yes, the fashion, drama, and anticipated gossip hooked me for many more years, it was Blair’s lingerie drawer that actually taught me something.

Up until that point in my young life, I had known what lingerie was from magazines, the intimidatingly perfect ads I would walk by in the mall, and PG-13 scenes in movies. It was for sex. It was a sex costume, if you will. It wasn’t until seeing Blair Waldorf, a “high school” girl (age casting in the show wasn’t its strong suit, but stick with me) wearing statement-making lingerie nearly every day of her life for just her, that I realized lingerie isn’t for suitors—it’s for me. For some reason, the scenes where she would come home from school or an event sans date, take her clothes off, and reveal a full-on corset, garter belt, and coordinating tap shorts; a stunning little black slip dress and thigh-high stockings; or simply the prettiest balconette bras I’ve ever seen were when I realized I officially had lingerie all wrong.

Fast-forward to present day, and I still catch myself thinking of lingerie as something that should be worn on, erm, special occasions. I’ve written time and time again about the importance of wearing lingerie for yourself and why it’s important to place care and love into your négligée drawer, but I hadn’t really believed it for myself until I tried it.

I decided if I ever wanted my perception of lingerie to change, I had to commit to actually wearing it in my day-to-day life, especially during a time when I am not in a relationship. That’s right, folks—I committed to wearing Blair Waldorf–inspired lingerie (also known as the really, really pretty kind) underneath all my clothes for a week straight. Spoiler alert: I did not go on any dates during this time and did not walk away with a partner. The transformation you’re about to read about does not revolve around potential dates or their perception of me—it revolves around me and my perception of me, and let me tell you I’ve never felt better.

Monday

Lacey black lingerie on a Monday? You’ve got it. I went to a workout class this morning, meaning I had to change into my fancy set in a less-than-ideal setting. I loved the idea of packing my matching underwear set in my gym bag and loved getting ready at the gym wearing just my tattoo bra with my black silk skirt while putting on my makeup even more. I opted out of putting my shirt on while getting ready because, for one, it was really hot in there, and second, I felt really good in it. The bra, I was less nervous about, but the underwear really had me stressed. A lace and satin thong seemed less than ideal for a day of sitting at my desk, but I was pleasantly surprised. After that, I threw on a tropical short-sleeve button-down and some sandals, and I was out the door.

This might be TMI, but since it was day one, I kept forgetting I was wearing something special underneath my clothes until I would go to the restroom. Being reminded that I had one of the prettiest bra-and-underwear sets as the foundation of my look put a little extra pep in my step for the rest of the day. The underwear was comfortable, as was the bra, and although nothing out of the ordinary happened that day, I went to bed feeling a little smitten and excited for Tuesday’s lingerie look.

Tuesday

This set is really fun, what with the neon floral appliqué, silky pink satin straps, and something I hardly ever wear—briefs. Personally, I’m not a fan of visible panty lines, so I threw a loose-fitting dress on top of the set just in case. I didn’t realize this until it was pointed out to me later that evening at a dinner, but the neon appliqué was a little bit visible through my light blue dress. A friend asked me what kind of bra I was wearing because she could see hints of the flowers and knew it had to be fun. That night, I got to explain that I was trying to wear fancy lingerie every day for a week straight, and people were intrigued. Oh, and my briefs were surprisingly comfortable and not visible at all, especially considering the sheer nude back.

Wednesday

On Wednesday, I wanted to go for something a little more outside my comfort zone. Two days in, I had already felt that I’d mastered the art of beautiful matching sets, opting for a white lace demi bra for day three. Imagine a more comfortable version of a corset with straps and cups. Once I put it on, I was almost tempted to wear it on its own as outerwear (which is a huge lingerie trend right now), but then I quickly remembered I was going to work, which might not be the best place to test this trend. I threw on a simple white tank top and another one of my favorite silk slip skirts. While my outfit was simple, this corset-bra-top hybrid had me feeling some type of way all day. It sucked me in and made me sit up straighter at my desk, and although I didn’t end up wearing the bra top solo when I went to drinks with a friend later, I thought about it.

Thursday

After feeling like I’d really gone out on a limb the day prior, I decided to wear more of an everyday set—a navy lace bra and matching hip-hugging underwear. This set felt like I was wearing nothing at all; that’s how soft the lace was. My outfit that day was a simple jeans-and-a-T-shirt look, but the knowledge of my adorable yet approachable lingerie underneath made me feel like I was ready for a night of glamour sans the slinky dress, strappy heels, and pounds of makeup. Instead, I had meetings, a lunch, and a date with the gym later that evening. Nothing to see here—just my elevated underwear drawer that no one knows about but me. I walked with the confidence of someone who had a secret, because I did. I was wearing underwear I was actually proud of and a bra I loved so much I was brainstorming ways to style it as a top and have that be okay.

Friday

The last Summer Friday of 2018 had finally come, but I wasn’t going to let that get me down. So what did I do? I wore one of my favorite lingerie sets to date. Styling this one underneath clothing was tough due to the high-rise briefs, but I was determined to make it work. I paired the set with starchy high-rise wide-leg pants and a ruched top. The wide-leg cut of the pants rid me of any VPL, and the texture of the top hid any lines the lace on the bra would have created. I felt so beautiful wearing this set—something Blair would have taken a liking to, I’m sure of it. When I came home to change that night for drinks with two of my best friends, I almost didn’t want to take it off, but then I remembered one look I wanted to squeeze into my now seemingly short week of dedicated lingerie wearing…

Friday Night

Friday night in New York City—why wouldn’t I wear a pink mini slip dress with a bra, thong, and garter belt to match? As I neared the end of the week, it was time to step it up. If there was anything worth changing out of the aforementioned lavender set for, it was this look, and let me tell you: It was a look. The hue of the dress against my skin tone gave off Carrie Bradshaw “naked dress” vibes, and I loved it. I threw a chain belt around my waist at the last minute to make the outfit a little more me, and I was out the door. Besides the compliments that came from my friends that evening, tons of women came up to me raving about the dress, asking where it was from, and telling me how they needed to start wearing slip dresses out more. Had I done it? Had I started a revolution? Hardly, but the way I felt that night—and, come to think of it, throughout the entire week—had me wondering why I hadn’t cared about what I wore underneath my clothes until now.

Saturday

Saturday morning I had some work to do, so I headed to a coffee shop with my laptop to set up camp. Since I planned on seeing no one that afternoon, I was tempted to save my lingerie wearing for later that evening, but instead, I put on this adorable eyelet lacey duo. On top, I wore a simple T-shirt and, again, my black slip skirt with sneakers. While the bra is definitely adorable, I have to talk about how surprisingly comfortable this satin G-string was. The last time I remember wearing a G-string was in high school, before I discovered there was much more comfortable underwear out there. This one, however, was almost more comfortable than a regular thong. The soft satin material felt like I was wearing nothing at all. What more could a girl ask for while working on a Saturday?

Later that evening, I needed to spice things up. I was going out with a few friends, and after the success of the evening prior, I was feeling particularly enthusiastic. I put on a gorgeous black silk bodysuit and slipped my black satin skirt on top. From far away, it looked like I was wearing a dress, but up close, it was clear that I, in fact, was wearing my lingerie as outerwear—tastefully, of course. Forget crop tops; bodysuits are officially my new “fashion” going-out attire.

Sundays are for getting things done, and this Sunday, I was getting things done while wearing a delicate and delectable lingerie set. While I hate running errands, this stunning two-piece had me feeling excited and ready to tackle the day, which is a feeling I rarely ever have.

For my last hurrah, I decided to ditch my oversize T-shirt and sweatpants for a true Blair Waldorf classic—the slip dress. It’s one thing to wear a slip dress out, but sleeping in it? That surprisingly made me more uncomfortable than any of the styles thus far. As is true for most, I’d wager, my favorite part of my day is taking off my clothes and slipping into something a little more comfortable. The something more comfortable being anything that’s oversize, unattractive, and smells like dryer sheets. Sleeping in anything other than that is completely against my nature. All those movies where the woman goes to bed wearing a slip dress or a matching chemise set just seemed unrealistic to me. But in the name of journalism, I was ready to trade in my embarrassing sleeping garments for a silk-and-lace slip dress. Not only did I go to bed feeling as luxurious as one of those Dove chocolate ads, but I woke up feeling that way too.

My Tips and Takeaways

My experience wearing lingerie for one whole week straight was beyond pleasant. A huge deal of that had to do with the fact that the lingerie I wore actually fit me. Bras weren’t digging into my shoulders, my boobs weren’t spilling out of the cups, and my underwear sat exactly where it was supposed to. Journelle and Victoria’s Secret were kind enough to each give me a private fitting so I would know exactly what kinds of bras and underwear fit my body type best and which sizes are right for me. If you are feeling inspired to update your lingerie drawer, I suggest you get fitted at a store you love beforehand. That way, you’ll be stocking your refreshed drawer with pieces you know you’ll wear for years to come.

If there's anyone who knows a thing or two about lingerie, it's the Victoria's Secret Angels. I mean, it's not every day you meet someone who wears everything from matching sets to corsets to bodysuits on the regular, so when I had the chance to interview VS model Josephine Skriver, you know I had a question or two up my sleeve for her on the matter. The interview took place in honor of Victoria's Secret's new Body by Victoria collection, which has everything from everyday pieces to bolder getups, if you will, and Skriver, as you can imagine, is a huge fan.

We chatted about all things lingerie, including her all-time favorite VS bra and the best lingerie to travel in, but the most fascinating topic of conversation was the latest lingerie trend she's loving: shimmer. That's right—shiny, glistening, KiraKira–ready bras, underwear, and the like. Below, read a snippet of my interview with the model to find out why she's fawning over this new lingerie trend, and then shop the pieces she's wearing now.

How is this VS collection different from ones in the past?

I mean, this Body by Victoria collection is so cute. It's so summer fresh. It has these bold colors while still being really muted and cool. I love that it has that mix, and it has a little bit of shimmer and lace. It just makes it a little bit more fun because it is such an everyday collection. It's so comfortable and offers every level of padding that you could wish for if you want nothing to full on push-up. It's my everyday staple bra, so I love when they come out with new colors because it's a little more fun. I love that you can see the bras through your tank tops or through something. Especially with this one, I love that you can incorporate it into your everyday look.

Are there any other lingerie trends you're loving right now?

I've always been a big fan of lace, but I didn't realize that shimmer is my new thing because I always liked that in makeup, and I think it's really cute. But the fact that these bras have a little hint of shimmer on the edges just makes them really fun. Especially when you have the KiraKira+ app, which I know it sounds so stupid to say, but it really is a bra I just want to wear for social because it's so fun and cute, especially when you go out at night it just catches onto the light.

Finding the perfect travel uniform is like putting together a puzzle, except everyone's puzzle is different, meaning your ideal 'fit comes with an individualized process of trial and error. Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down and chat all things lingerie with Victoria's Secret model Josephine Skriver. I asked her tons of questions about the best Victoria's Secret bra ever, her favorite new lingerie trends (story on that one to come), and, of course, her favorite lingerie to travel in. Her answer was quite surprising to me, but also extremely practical. She chose the new Long Line Demi Bra from the new Body by Victoria collection. Considering this is someone who has to be in Shanghai one day and New York the next, I think it's safe to say her judgment on the matter deserves all the trust in the world, so go on to read exactly why she chose this bra as her go-to for comfortable travel.

What’s your favorite piece from the collection?

The one I’m wearing now, the Victoria’s Secret Long Line Demi Bra. I’m into this whole trend right now—trying to wear my bras as outerwear. I think it’s so comfortable too. It’s a sexy way of showing off your lingerie without really showing anything. It doesn’t really feel like you’re wearing a bra as outerwear, because it has a deeper and longer cut to it, which helps it feel more like a top. That’s the barrier of going from there to maybe just wearing a top underneath.

What are your favorite bra styles to travel in?

I mean, the Body by Victoria collection is so comfortable; it really has everyday bras that come in these amazing fabrics. Even though they have lace and shimmer, they just feel really comfortable. Again, I have to go back to this one (the Victoria’s Secret Long Line Demi Bra). I don’t even have to bring tops anymore, so it saves a ton of room in my suitcase.
