It was while I was sat scrolling through the spring/summer '26 fashion shows that a thought suddenly came to me: where exactly were the wearabie clothes? As a fashion editor, I often look to the runways for inspiration first, and whether that might be spotting a colour, print, or silhouette that I know will be huge, I'm often drawn to the pieces that shout the loudest for the talking point alone, but it's rare that what we actually wear reflects the runway.

With spring finally here, most of us are probably focusing on what to wear for the new season. However, in the capital of the UK, all eyes were on autumn/winter 2026 as London Fashion Week was the talk of the city. And whilst most of the talk over fashion month has been about what was trending on the runways (which you can hear our thoughts here), I couldn't help but notice all of the chic street style looks as well. And this, of course, includes the cool outfits I spotted on my fellow editors.

The Who What Wear UK editors made their way around London in stylish but practical outfits suited to navigate the numerous runway shows and presentations, as well as to celebrate our own 10-year anniversary party (thanks to the Kiyori Bar at Aki London). As ever, we travelled from show to show with our beloved Volvo Black Edition XC90 and our driver (shout out to Krys!), who was always on hand to take us from A to B, or take our much-needed outfit pics. From shows to presentations, coffee pick-ups and parties after-dark, whether we were heading west for the ultra-luxury brands or travelling to east of London to discover up-and-coming designers, or dodging the (very predictable) UK showers, Volvo got us around in style.

Style Notes: "It's important to note that Remy and I did not discuss our outfits ahead of getting dressed that morning, but were happy with the coincidence. The accessories are the MVPs in this outfit here—I love animal print, especially zebra right now, so the boots speak for themselves. The Chanel bag is one I sourced from eBay, it's from 2006 and one of the best secondhand purchases I've ever made. The wrap coat jacket and leather midi skirt are both from Massimo Dutti, I wanted something simple to wear so my accessories and footwear could shine. Those on the sidelines—well, front row in this case—aren’t just tasked with being passive observers, but are invited to get amongst the action and involved with the proceedings from the runway. This often entails even the most senior of editors sprinting to show, dashing across the city, and even madly dashing to find their seats à la Sofia Coppola at Chanel’s spring/summer 2026, should they be caught up in the minutia that is daily traffic. For this season, I almost wanted to lean into the energetic and fast-paced nature of the week even more by dressing with function in mind, whilst of course keeping things stylish.

Reaching for a double denim set from Australian brand With Jéan—I’m from Sydney after all, so it’s always special to style something homegrown and spotlight it on the international stage—I felt prepared for whatever the day brings in this effortlessly polished and practical uniform. A Canadian Tuxedo is actually the closest thing to a tastemaker’s uniform—just look at the personal style of Interview Magazine’s Mel Ottenberg—so wearing one out and about did really make me feel equipped for anything. Style Notes: "As much as I admire the innate “Londonness” about the eclectic styling flocking the streets during London Fashion Week, I always try to keep my week's worth of fits as me as possible. And above all, comfort and warmth are key. Now, I know I say this in a mini-skirt funnel-neck ensemble, but trust me, there was method to my madness. With little time in the schedule, any seasoned Fashion Week goer knows the tube or walking is often the best way to get around. And, in the mayhem, it's rather easy to work up a sweat. So, any iteration of a skirt is a fail-safe way to keep cool. But then, you typically are waiting outside whilst waiting for the shows to start, and the weather in London, especially in February, can be a tad chilly. So, this is where my practical yet on-trend funnel-neck jacket comes into play. Not only did it keep me cosy, but it provided that cool-girl “London” edge the season is known for. Finishing with a derby, a shoe practical enough for the 10,000 steps you’re likely to achieve. Anyone who knows me will know about my not-so-subtle penchant for French style. There’s just something about it: always elegant, always effortless, there's a reason Paris has long been regarded as the home of some of the chicest dressing in the world.

So when Paris Fashion Week rolls around and the city fills with some of the most stylish people on the planet, you know I won’t let the moment pass me by. Indulging in a little street style spotting, courtesy of the Parisian fashion set, I combed through the crowds to pinpoint the key trends gaining traction right now.

From the outerwear trend Parisians are actually wearing (hint: it’s not bouclé) to the new shoe silhouette overtaking ballet flats, below are the five street style trends from Paris Fashion Week March 2026 that are already taking off.

1. Red Jackets

Style Notes: Sorry, beige bouclé—fashion people in Paris are bundling up in red jackets instead. While red bomber and windbreaker styles made the biggest impact on the streets, I also spotted striking trench coats and tailored blazers in the shade throughout the week. Style Notes: After seasons dominated by ballet flats and Mary Janes, heels are finally returning to the street style scene. Slightly more directional, and a little less traditionally “pretty”, this modern silhouette feels like a natural evolution, and one I suspect will soon make its way across the Channel, too.

If it feels like March has already been an exceptionally stylish month, you’ve probably been subconsciously influenced by the influx of runway, front row and street style images permeating the sartorial landscape.

Indeed, with fashion month in full swing, each day brings a brand new look to covet, whether it be tastemakers heading to a local trattoria post Prada’s show in Milan or grabbing a cocktail at some ritzy New York bar after seeing Khaite’s collection. Joining this canon is none other than London cool girl, Lila Moss.

Arriving in Paris after a slew of stylish events in her hometown—including Burberry’s rainy presentation on the banks of Tower Bridge and Conner Ives’s glamorous show inside Claridge's grand art deco ballroom—the nascent model joined her mother, Kate, to watch Anthony Vaccarello’s latest panoply for Saint Laurent.

However, the following day, the 23-year-old appeared to eschew every convention you’d come to expect from someone visiting the French capital. Rather than adhere to a dress code of stovepipe jeans, polished black ankle boots and a leather jacket from the likes of Isabel Marant, Lila wore an ensemble resembling something you’d spot along Marylebone High Street or King’s Road.

Wearing a poppy red graphic t-shirt from Barcelona-based brand Gimaguas that reads “Careful I’m Fragile” (which is a fashion week mood if I’ve ever seen one), she completed her look with a pair of navy elasticated trousers and gathered loafers.

Clearly rejecting the mood of destination method dressing, which is an urge to immediately dress like a local of wherever you’re holidaying, Lila’s look is laissez-faire, elegant and proof that off-duty wardrobes of celebrity savants will always be the most overt display of their personal style.

Ciao! With fashion turning its attention to the Italian sartorial capital for Milan Fashion Week, the birthplace of Prada and the Negroni Sbagliato has become a hotbed for impeccable street style. Within its ringed walls, local haunts like the Via Monte Napoleone and Palazzo del Senato have been transformed into runways in their own right.

Whilst it’s not unusual for the city’s natives to deliver a masterclass in everyday elegance—this is the place that pioneered dressing archetypes like the well-heeled and glamorous “sciura”, after all—the convergence of star-studded guests and incredibly sophisticated denizens have certainly dialled things up a notch. In fact, you could say that the outfits are nothing short of molto benne.

New color codes are less about finding “the color of the season” and more about unexpected pairings. Think tonal dressing with a twist or clashing shades that somehow just work. It’s a shift toward color as styling language rather than a statement.

With Milan Fashion Week in full swing, the city’s streets are swelling with styling inspiration. Editors, buyers and insiders have descended on the Italian style capital to take in the latest collections from the likes of Miuccia Prada and Denma—and they’ve dressed accordingly.

Long considered a bellwether for the season ahead, Milan’s street style scene has a way of setting the tone for what we’ll all be wearing next. Between shows, I took a little extra time to observe the silhouettes and styling tricks making the strongest impression right now.

Here, fashion showgoers seem to have decided to take it easy on the street style, largely foregoing bold prints and over-the-top colors in favor of one of the simplest outfit combinations in existence, jeans and ankle boots. Their outerwear differed, ranging from Western-inspired fringe jackets to shearling coats, but their bottom halves were consistent. Jeans—including khaki-colored pairs, barrel shapes, and timeless straight-leg styles—dominated the street style scene during London Fashion Week, and the best dressers there chose ankle boots to wear with them.

Though ballet flats, loafers, and slingbacks were also spotted on denim-clad attendees of shows for British fashion brands like Richard Quinn, Emilia Wickstead, and Erdem, ankle boots were undoubtedly the most present. Specifically, a lot of Western boots were spotted as well as flat boots and pairs with toe shapes that are simultaneously square and pointed. (You know what we mean.)
