"I'm a Giggler," I say before I even begin my chat with Paige DeSorbo. "It connects us," she says. By Giggler, I'm of course referring to my love and connection to the Giggly Squad universe that DeSorbo and her best friend, Hannah Berner, created in 2020. It has become a pop culture phenomenon with a podcast, multi-city tours, and now a new book—How to Giggle: A Guide to Taking Life Less Seriously.

Combining Giggly Squad with her television career as one of the stars of Bravo's hit series Summer House with her hosting moments and numerous fashion partnerships and collaborations (her Amazon Live shows are not to be missed), DeSorbo is a legit powerhouse. And trust me, the term powerhouse is used to describe many in the entertainment and fashion industries, but not everyone delivers on that description—DeSorbo isn't one of them.

"I'm so thankful," she said to me. "I literally will wake up in the morning, and [I'm] like, I'm obsessed with what I do as a career." DeSorbo made her childhood dreams a reality. A glimpse into her world is nothing short of inspiring. And that's what's coming below.

Ahead, take a peek into Paige DeSorbo's world, including her thoughts on adding "author" to her bio, go-to fashion items (ahem, a Zara standout), her dream apartment that she shares with her adorable cat, Daphne, and so much more.

Let's start at the beginning. In one of the episodes during Summer House this season, you said something to the effect of what you're doing right now is what you've wanted to do since you were 5 years old. Did you always know you were meant to be in the fashion-and-entertainment space? And could you ever have pictured your career from your first job as an assistant at ABC News to the life of Paige today?

I actually wrote a story in our book that when I was in fourth grade, I can remember a Sunday night when my mom was helping me study for a science test. I asked her when we were going to be done studying because the Oscars red carpet starts at 7. I've never seen her more enraged in her entire life, and she was just like, "You don't know anything for this test tomorrow. You should not be worrying about the Oscars red carpet." I remember thinking, She's crazy—I'll never need to know this science stuff, and I will need to know what's happening on the red carpet tonight. So when I booked the Vanity Fair red carpet, my first call was my mom, and I was like, "Do you remember that fourth-grade science test that you were adamant that I needed to know?" And so it was such a full-circle moment for both of us. I always knew that I loved fashion-and-entertainment news. When I was younger, E! News used to be more of a fashion channel, and they would play actual runway shows. I remember sitting on the couch and just being like, this is so cool. I've always really loved the space.

You started Giggly Squad during the COVID lockdown with Hannah Berner. Tell us about the Giggly Squad journey. Did you ever envision it would grow to what it is today with a tour and now a book?

Never. We started on Instagram Live because we were bored. Summer House had really kind of popped off at that time because there was nothing else on TV. We were one of the only shows that was putting out new episodes each week. And so we would go live. We would talk about the episode, but then we realized it was just a bunch of girls in the chat. And so we just started talking about whatever was going on. And it truly was because Hannah and I were so bored, and we would FaceTime for hours and just laugh so hard. And I would be like, This is funny. We should just like go on Instagram Live. We didn't even think about starting a podcast. One of our agents was like, Hey, why don't you guys make this into a podcast and see where it goes? And so that's what we did. So, no. Did I ever think that we would write a book from it or perform at Radio City? Absolutely not.

Tell us more about the process of writing this new book?

It was such a surreal experience. I was like, I don't know if I can write a book. But Hannah's mom, who was a middle school principal, helped us edit our book a lot. And every comment for me was like, Paige, rewrite this. We really don't know what you're talking about. But it was the most fun process truly.

You clearly have so much going on, but what does a typical working day look like for you in New York City?

It totally depends—it's different each day. Like yesterday, I was in glam at 6 a.m. to do a whole press day for a brand, and then I went right to Amazon Live. But then there are days where I'll get a facial in the morning and then go record Giggly Squad. So it's different every single day, and I'm so thankful. I literally will wake up in the morning, and [I'm] like, I'm obsessed with what I do as a career. I actually feel like I'm tricking people because I'm like this is the best job ever. I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I love this so much. It really does make your days better when you like what you do and you like the people you're around.

Okay, let's talk fashion. Your personal style is so covetable. Are there any style icons on your mood board? Who do you turn to style-wise?

For red carpet, I think Zendaya knocks it out of the park. She kills it all the time. I also love Victoria Beckham for street style. She's just so chic. She does trendy in such a good way—you would never describe her as trendy; you would say she's classic, but yet she always looks trendy. Like I just can't explain it. And then I would say I turn to the classics. I do feel like I pull from Audrey Hepburn a lot. I do love a classic silhouette of just like a black capri, a black top, and a headband. Like there's nothing more classic than that look.

But my mom would say, like from when I was little, You're just like a Barbie doll. Like, every day you want to be in something different. And so the term personal style always makes me anxious because I'm like, oh, I feel like that means every time you step out, you have to have an outfit that's very you. And I feel like each day truly is different for me. Like some days I want to be a pink Legally Blonde Barbie. And then other days I'm like, I want to look like I used to skateboard. I feel like it really does depend on my mood with how I want to dress that day.

As you said, it changes every day, but are there specific wardrobe staples that you do often gravitate toward?

I definitely gravitate toward a heel. I really do find myself always putting a heel on. And I used to be one of those people that's like, is everyone wearing heels? Because I don't want to wear heels if no one else is wearing heels. And I feel like that changed in my later 20s, and I was just like, yeah, I'm wearing heels. I don't care where we're going. And then I have this one top in my closet that's vintage from my grandma. It's like this white chiffon, multilayered top, and it just always fits into something when I need an outfit. I've worn it in so many different ways. I gravitate toward pieces where, in my head, I'm like, I know three places I would wear that and I also know three different ways I would wear that. And so I like stuff like that.

What are some of your favorite heel brands?

I'm gonna be so honest. My favorite heels are from Zara. I have spent more getting them fixed and bringing them to the Leather Spa than I've spent buying them. But I'm like, this is a great heel. I also have a pair of heels from Forever 21 that I'll never get rid of. I feel like they always end up going with something, and they are so comfortable and cool. They're a black heel, but they have clear straps.

Okay, what are some of your favorite outfits recently? I mean, that Oscars dress…

I loved my Oscars look—I was so stressed about that. I went to the CFDAs for the first time, and I loved my dress so much. I was really nervous because Naomi Campbell wore it on the runway, and I was like shoot, if they're going to put pictures of Naomi Campbell and I both in the dress, like that makes me anxious. And I kind of changed the dress, like I pushed the top back, and it was supposed to be worn down. So I was nervous about doing that and then people comparing it. But when I saw it in pictures, I knew I loved it. I thought it looked very Audrey Hepburn, and I thought it looked very chic, but I was nervous that people weren't going to like it. But then when they did, I felt like I was like, oh okay, I took a risk, and it paid off, but that doesn't always happen.

Favorite designer brand?

Prada is my top for clothes. I couldn't afford designer growing up or anything. The first time I walked into a Prada store and was prepared to buy something was three years ago. I was in Italy, and I remember the sales associate kind of looking me up and down and just like walking away. And I was like, that's fine. Like, that's totally fine. And then I remember this other sales associate came up to me, and we just instantly clicked. And by the end of our session, he was like I actually have something in the basement that I think you'll love, and it's not out yet. And he brought this baby-blue dress up, and I was just like, you are my Lord and Savior. And then for the rest of the trip, every time I walked by Prada, he would knock on the window and wave to me.

Are there any favorite investment purchases you've made over the years?

The Prada dress is definitely a favorite. I have two Prada dresses that I bought that I think about all the time. I also think about like, wow, when my daughter is in college, the vintage Prada that I'm going to be able to show her literally lights a fire in me. I get so excited because anything I have of my mom's that's vintage now, I do have a different emotional connection to it, and I do love it so much more. So I can't wait for my daughter to be looking for an outfit for something, and me just be like wait, I think I have the perfect thing. And I pull out this maxi backless white Prada dress, like hello?

Do you have a favorite fragrance that you wear also?

Okay, actually, I'm obsessed with Victoria Beckham's Portofino fragrance. Her bottles are really cool. It's so good, and I get compliments on it all the time.

Okay, so moving on to your space. I know you moved into your dream apartment recently. How was the experience of finding your apartment?

Okay, my apartment is like a true serendipitous moment. When I first moved to New York and I worked at ABC News, I lived on the Upper West Side, so I would be in this area all the time. I would walk by this building at least once a day. There's a courtyard in the middle, and I would always look in and be like, this building is top-tier. Like I'm obsessed with this place. And then years went by. I moved out of the Upper West Side, I was in Midtown, but I had to move. I'm looking for an apartment, and my mom said, "What about that building on the Upper West Side?" And I was like, Mom, one, I'd never be able to afford to live here. Two, I don't think they even rent in there. I think everyone owns their apartments. I'm not kidding, two hours later, my real estate agent sends me this listing. I click it, and it's in that building. And I'm like, this doesn't make any sense. I go, I want to see it tomorrow. I go the next day, my real estate agent is like, When we walk in, do not act like you like it, don't say anything. And I'm like, Kevin, I got it, don't worry. I walk in the front door and I go, I need it. This is my home. Like, I'll move in tomorrow. And I moved in a couple of weeks later. I love it—I'll literally die here.

Any favorite pieces in your home?

This is so bougie, but I got a Frame TV, and I'm obsessed. I would say I love that, and then I have a plant that I have had for five years, and she is my pride and joy. I think that everyone needs to get one of these plants. I think they're actually good luck. It's a money tree.

Switching gears, are there any other podcasts you listen to?

I would say whenever I need something uplifting, I'm turning on a Jay Shetty podcast. He did a podcast over a year ago now with Marianna Hewitt. For one, I'm obsessed with her. I've been obsessed with her for years. But I was listening to her on his podcast, and I'm not kidding, it truly motivated me to be like, I could be a business owner too. Like I could start a brand. I could do this. I don't listen to any podcasts like religiously. It's more like when I'm searching for something. Like oh, I need something that's like really motivational today, or I need something that's like really funny today. But I would say he's one that I turn on a lot.

What are you watching right now?

When we were on tour in the fall, I was like, I need a show that has a thousand seasons. And so I got so deep in Grey's Anatomy. I really watched it from start to finish. I was so deep in Grey's Anatomy to the point where I finished the series, and I was just like I need something else, so I started watching The Pitt. I'm obsessed. Obviously, I'm watching The White Lotus, and I'm also watching 1923. I'm obsessed with Brandon Sklenar. He's like the next big thing. I love any of the Yellowstone series. I'm a big scripted person.

Okay. So do you watch any other reality shows?

The only other reality show I watch is Love Island. I can't watch anything with an ensemble cast because I know how it's made.

What about music?

I'm really into Charli XCX right now, like everybody else. But I am a big rap fan. My favorite rapper is Future.

Best New York City restaurant?

I would say forever and always Bar Pitti.

What's your biggest pet peeve?

Oh my gosh, my biggest pet peeve is probably when my girlfriends don't believe in themselves. That makes me so angry.

What's something that's overrated and then also underrated?

I think getting your full eight hours of sleep. It's underrated because you truly need it to perform, and you feel so much better when you have a good sleep schedule. But I think it's so overrated like when you're in your 20s or if you're single. Like any advice I would have for someone in their 20s would be like, go to the party, go to the club. You can stay an extra 30 minutes. You're gonna remember more the times you had fun than when you went home and did the responsible thing. So I'm gonna say a whole eight hours. It's overrated, but it's also underrated.

Okay, then finally, what is your favorite thing to give and then also to get as a gift?

I have many people in my life that say I'm the best gift giver. I truly pride myself on getting gifts for people that, when they open it, they're like, well you really know and you really thought about this, so I take that very seriously. I think the best gift I've been giving recently because I've been giving it to so many of my girlfriends who have had babies is these personalized trunks. Because not only are they functional in New York City—or really anywhere because you can put all of their keepsakes in it—but it's like an art piece. You can leave it out, and it looks so good, and you can get it monogrammed inside. So that's been my recent favorite gift. And then my favorite gift for me to get is probably something unexpected. When I'm like, oh, I just really wasn't expecting you to get me something. My brother stays at my apartment a lot when I'm gone, and whenever I come home, like on a Sunday night, he will have gotten me a bunch of different things—whether it's my favorite candy or he walked by a bakery and was like, Hey, I left doughnuts in the refrigerator for you. So like those kind of gifts I love.

The pockets of time between seasons tend to be the most exciting for our editors. We have the chance to get creative and do what we do best: brainstorm new outfit ideas. Now that summer's peak has passed and the warm weather is winding down, I wanted to touch base with my fellow editors Eliza Huber and Allyson Payer to see what they're most looking forward to wearing this fall. Red ballet flats, denim miniskirts, and leather jackets were some of the items tossed around, but we also shared tips on where we like to shop for these classic pieces. PAIGE co-founder and Creative Director Paige Adams-Geller went from working as one of the top fit models to launching her namesake brand in 2005. For her, working as a fit model was fashion boot camp. "I felt like I went to fashion 101 school, and I fell madly in love with design, and premium denim became an expertise of mine," she said.

After working as a fit model, Adams-Geller realized there was a hole in the market for a denim brand created from a female designer's perspective. "I really wanted to showcase what I wanted to wear," she said.

In the latest episode of Who What Wear With Hillary Kerr, Adams-Geller shares how her fit modeling background helped her launch PAIGE, the one PAIGE item she can't stop wearing, and more.

Talk to me a little bit about starting the brand, and let's go back to some of those early days of the business.

I always like to share a little bit about my history, personally, before I start talking about the brand. I think that it really makes sense when you understand that part of my life. I grew up in Alaska. I left Alaska at the age of 16 when I graduated high school and moved to New York to model.

I was in the entertainment industry for a bit and then went to USC to go to university. When I got out of university, I still wanted to be in the entertainment world. I was acting and singing and modeling and, unfortunately, realized that because of my Me Too experiences, that was not going to be a healthy environment for me.

When I was reconsidering my career, I fell into this world of what is known as a fit model. That is how I was introduced to fashion in a different perspective other than modeling. When I started working as a fit model, I was introduced to all different kinds of fashion, where I actually got to be the body, where the garments were draped upon and the patterns were created. I felt like I went to fashion 101 school, and I fell madly in love with design, and premium denim became an expertise of mine.

Then I began working as a fit consultant and design consultant for a lot of the most successful companies that were born during those years. After being very fulfilled working as a fit model and design consultant, I felt that there was a missing link where there needed to be a brand born and created from a female designer's perspective and creative director's perspective that really could introduce denim in a new way and showcase what I think all of us were looking for at that time.

That is really how the brand was born. I really wanted to showcase what I wanted to wear and think about denim as the foundation of a wardrobe in different fits so that you could end the drama and the trauma of trying on denim.

Talk to me about that first collection. What were some of the key pieces? I always love an origin story moment.

This was when low-rise jeans were everything. All I could find were low-rise jeans that were maybe just right above the playing field—like dangerous. They were so low.

Those were the things that were challenging. It was, "How can I create a low-rise bootcut that is super flattering but still kind of really works on the female figure?" The way we're built, things always react better on a body when they're a little higher in the back and a little lower in the front because it helps sit on the hips and stay, and they don't drop as much. The Laurel Canyon jean was born. That was the first jean I ever designed.

Laurel Canyon came in this beautiful Italian Candiani denim. That denim was feminine with the twill lines. It didn't look super rugged and rustic. That denim in indigo form could create lots of beautiful washes. We had the Laurel Canyon in light, medium, and dark. Then we had light destruction, medium destruction, and dark destruction. Those were the six washes, and that was the first jean.

Then we developed a few other jeans that were a little bit more trouser-centric because I wanted something to be a little bit more dressy and elevated. There was a jean that was called the Santa Monica trouser, and there was a Brentwood trouser, and then there was a Sunset Boulevard miniskirt.

All of these fits came in all those different washes. We also had a Mulholland Drive. That was another trouser. Everything was based off of L.A. streets and L.A. lifestyle.

What would you wear for brunch with friends?

There's this really cool jean that we have out that's called the Bella, and the Bella came in a dark rinse, and it also came in kind of a dark-black rinse.

Now for spring, it's in this really fresh powder blue. The Bella is very cool. I feel like the cool girl when I wear it, so that's why I'd want to wear it to brunch with my friends. I would wear it, though, with a feminine top that's a little eyelet blouse that's called the Juno top to kind of make it a little bit more like yin and yang.

I could top it off with a leather jacket if I needed to to add a little spice. I would either wear it with a pair of sneakers—depending on if we are going someplace chill—but then I could also wear that a little dressed up with the heel and feel like I look super chic.

What is one item that you just can't stop wearing right now? What is your hyper-fixation piece right now, in terms of your wardrobe?

I'm actually wearing the bottoms right now. It's my Angela maxi skirt. It's a vintage black washed long maxi skirt with a slit up the front. I cannot stop wearing it. It also comes in indigo denim. I feel like this is the freshest new wardrobe piece that I have.

I also am obsessed with the Sasha jean. If I'm not wearing this skirt, I'm wearing the Sasha jean, and I'm dressing it up or down because the Sasha jean I can wear sneakers with or heels or boots.

Then this skirt is my new fixation that I just moved on from the Sasha.

I can't tell you the number of times I've been scrolling through clothing online and have thought to myself, I wish I could see how that looks on. I never went to private school, but I always envied the outfits. As a teenager, I desperately wanted to get involved in the world of cute pleated skirts and matching polos. As an adult, I still love a good uniform, but my interpretation is a bit different. "Layers are a must," instructs Raeann Langas (aka Rae Everyday), a writer, model, podcast host, and body-positive activist whose IG feed and TikTok presence are a source of serious sartorial sunshine year-round. "It can be hot during the day and chilly in the evening. I love dressing for fall in L.A. because you can play around with light layers and really don't ever have to worry about getting too cold—or ruining a killer outfit with a bulky coat."

Last but not least, if there's one thing we L.A. girls love about fall dressing, it's that there's no weather-induced expiration date on our go-to rompers or jumpsuits. L.A. girls aren't necessarily better at spring dressing, but they do have a leg up in terms of timing. To give you an idea of what's going on over here in California, my weather app has displayed highs above 80° (yes, you read that right) five days in a row. With that kind of a head start, I expect nothing less than expert-level spring looks from West-Coast women at the moment.

Take Alyssa Coscarelli, for example. Technically, she hasn't lived in L.A. for all that long, but you wouldn't know it based on how quickly she's mastered the laid-back, SoCal style. Her recent outfits feature relaxed denim, on-trend eyewear, light cardigans, and other low-key separates from PAIGE—a California-based brand, by the way. I'm really into the no-fuss vibe she's going for this season, and I have a feeling you will be, too.

Coscarelli lived in New York for years, so I imagine that spring in L.A. looks a lot different and comes a lot earlier than she's used to. "To be honest, in New York, you really earn spring. In L.A., it's just more sunshine... You start to take it for granted," she says of the difference.

She's easing into the season with transitional pieces that feel spring ready but still make sense as the weather ebbs and flows. Think super-soft denim, light cardigans (ideally with only one button done up), heeled sandals, and casual sunglasses. PAIGE just launched its first eyewear collection, so the timing could not be more perfect. "You can't go wrong with a jeans look," Coscarelli says of this denim outfit. "These hug all the right places but are still as soft as can be."

Believe it or not, this outfit was actually inspired by Coscarelli's new hairstyle. "I recently dyed my hair and have been having fun with monochromatic looks that play with similar warm, bright tones," she says. I go crazy for a well-executed monochromatic look, so I'm excited to see this one made the cut in Coscarelli's spring outfit lineup. The different brown tones of the buttery leather pants, '70s-inspired platform clogs, and denim jacket work together in a way that feels cool without trying too hard.

This time, she opts for a sleek pair of aviator frames as her finishing touch. "I tend to gravitate toward vintage-inspired eyewear that still feels timeless, and these definitely check that box," she says.

Coscarelli is known for having quite a range in terms of her style. "Some days, I'm feeling super femme, and others I wake up wanting to dress with a bit more of an edge," she explains. These denim shorts (please note the front stitching) and this slouchy sweatshirt are an A+ example of the latter. "I love a vintage-inspired graphic sweatshirt, and you can't go wrong with black on black, even in spring," she says.

The look is accessorized with yet another pair of sunglasses from PAIGE. "I truly can't leave the house without sunglasses," she explains. I'd argue that this is because it's literally always sunny in L.A., but Coscarelli reminds me, "Eyewear just adds that little extra je ne sais quoi to an outfit." The girl is not wrong.

I'll never forget the first pair of trendy jeans I bought for myself. I was 15 years old, and the year was 2009. So, yes—that means the trend du jour involved lots of rhinestone adornments. (Specifically, my jeans had rhinestones on the pockets, but I digress.) Do I miss those jeans? A little. Would I wear them now? Absolutely not.

I'm on the west coast right now for work, and I have to tell you, there is truly no love greater than the love that L.A. people have for fall fashion. The temperature in the evenings has been dipping down into the 60s and occasionally the 50s this week, so I'll admit that this commitment to boots and layers is more justified than usual (so long as restaurants will turn their outdoor heaters down).

Out here, fall and winter style is defined by a denim-centric capsule of trans-seasonal staples, and truly, no Los Angeles brand does this better than PAIGE. Notoriously the home of that classic L.A. wardrobe (flawless denim, great leather, and insanely comfortable boots), PAIGE's selection is always punctuated by little on-trend moments that nod to the current season without ever feeling too trendy or over-dressed. My love for denim runs deep. I'm the type of weirdo—I mean, person—who doesn't take off her jeans and throw on sweats immediately upon returning home and who actually chooses to wear jeans to hang out around the apartment (a first-class offense according to some, but perfectly normal according to me).

Even after a recent closet clean-out, I still own over a dozen pairs of jeans, and if there's one thing I've learned from denim shopping over the years, it's that not all pairs are created equal. More importantly, not all pairs fit everybody equally. Popular L.A. brand PAIGE is setting out to change that with its newly launched Flaunt collection, and I simply couldn't keep the news to myself. The line is all about perfecting the waist-to-hip ratio for women blessed with hourglass figures, so naturally, I tapped two of my favorite fashion insiders to try them out and report back. Below, Rahel Brhane and Vanessa Romo put the jeans to the test while styling them with their favorite fall pieces.

Like many women, Brhane used to get so frustrated while shopping for denim. "Traditional 100%-cotton jeans would always give me a ridiculous gap in the waist area, and I thought that jeans were just not meant for me," she says. "I often had to settle for jeggings as the closest thing to actual jeans. Thankfully, brands like PAIGE have started to take feedback from their customers and make jeans for different types of bodies."

She no longer fears what was once a daunting task. When shopping for denim now, Brhane says it's all about the fit. "Since I was blessed with fuller hips and thighs but a smaller waist, I need to ensure that jeans hug my hourglass figure without giving me the infamous gap in the waist area. My go-tos are high-waisted or ultra-high-rise styles."

When styling this look featuring the light-wash Femme jeans (my personal favorite from the collection, ICYWW), Brhane wanted to create the perfect everyday look. "I always find myself leaving my house in the morning and not coming back until it's late, so when styling the jeans, I wanted to create the perfect fall look for running errands around the city and meeting for dinner right after," she tells me. "I paired the jeans with a black sweater with beautiful flared cuffs, a leather jacket, and chunky boots. When it comes to styling high-rise jeans, my tip is always to tuck the top into the jeans. By doing so, your shape gets enhanced, and you can see how well the jeans fit. Did I nail it, or did I nail it?" I think I speak for everyone when I say that Brhane did, in fact, nail this look.

Romo has faced similar denim challenges. I mean, haven't we all? "It's difficult to find a pair that fits well in all areas, especially the waist and hips," she explains. "Sometimes the waist is perfect, but the hips are so baggy. I've also found it nearly impossible to find well-fitted jeans that don't give me a camel toe. It's rough out here."

Her denim preferences—beyond avoiding a camel toe, of course—vary depending on the outfit she's styling. "I usually gravitate toward high-waisted styles because they help define my waistline, but for the leg of the pants, I look for something different, whether it's a wide leg, straight leg, or boot cut," she says.

I personally don't break out my black jeans until about mid-September, so I'm excited to get some styling info from Romo, especially as I, too, have been gravitating toward skinny styles lately. "I love how soft and stretchy the jeans are. They move with my body so comfortably," she says. "This outfit is all black and white to create a classic vibe, and I think it's perfect for an everyday setting. It could even be worn in the office with the top buttoned up and tucked in."

I’m constantly scouring the internet for the best fashion moments to report on. A Classic Crop

If you tend to shy away from a pant leg that is on the conservative side, I’m here to ask you to kindly reconsider. An Ultra Flare

If you’ve graduated from slit-hem pants and are ready for something a little more extreme, say hello to the ultra flare. And when I say ultra flare, I mean a polished wide-leg silhouette that doesn’t scream costumey. This PAIGE style is Jasmine’s go-to silhouette. Styled with a pair of classic pumps, it’s perfect for feeling like you have your shit together. What I especially like about this look is how Jasmine incorporated just the right amount of trend by way of her yin-yang top and chain belt, adding up to a curated take on a truly classic outfit.

A Pleated Trouser

For something put-together yet casual (and perfect for showing off new fall footwear), I’m always recommending a cropped, pleated trouser to anyone who will listen. Lauren agrees, telling me these are perfect for transitioning through those unpredictably warm fall days. I love how she’s styled hers with a low-key knit vest, partially tucked, and western-inspired knee-high boots. It’s all very fall in California, and the monochrome makes a great case for timeless looks.

While Kaia Gerber loves experimenting with all the latest and greatest trends, her mom Cindy Crawford usually has a more classic take on the looks du jour. Gerber might whip out some low-rise brocade flare leggings like it ain't no thing, but Crawford is much more likely to rely on her vast denim collection.

Next, Kate Middleton just wore a $13 Zara dress on a Zoom call. 

Now that I’ve fully organized every other part of my house during my spare time, I’m finally ready to conquer my closet. But before I do, I’m reassessing my shopping habits because somehow I always end up purchasing pieces that look almost identical to each other. (You don’t even want to know how many white button-downs I own.) One way I want to do this is by looking through my saved tab when I have the itch to shop. Wide-Leg Pants

I’ve been ready to trade in my sweats for a few weeks now, so a pair of wide-leg pants in a blush tone fits the bill. I love how Emelie styled hers with these PAIGE block-heel sandals and a basic white tank.

Pretty Pink Tops

Like I said, I own way too many white button-downs, so a pink blouse is a much-needed and refreshing must-have for me this season. What I love about this PAIGE top is that I can style it with the wide-leg pants from the look above, and I can also wear it with a pair of jeans when we're able to leave our homes.

Camel-Colored Sweaters

Another basic I have too many of? Sweaters. I'll admit: Over the years, the sweaters I’ve purchased haven't been of the highest quality, so this camel-colored classic from PAIGE is a much-needed addition. And yes, even if I'm hanging out in the house, I’ll be wearing these open-toe heeled mules for dinner on a Friday night.

White Ankle Boots 

I’m a huge fan of all-black outfits, especially if I can wear a pair of white ankle boots with them. While I do own my fair share of ankle boots, I do need a style that will take me into warmer weather once temps start heating up.
