Mark your calendars: Oprah's highly-anticipated interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is set to air on Sunday. It comes hot on the heels of other major news from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex just two weeks ago: their baby #2 announcement. While we're currently six days out from the interview, the network has kindly shared a short preview to whet our appetite. 

In the preview, Markle is wearing a dress by Armani embellished with a lotus flower, earrings by Canadian brand Birks (which she's worn numerous times), and a necklace by British designer Pippa Small. She is also wearing a bracelet that belonged to the late Princess Diana because the couple wanted to include her in the interview. How sweet is that?

Don't overlook the details of her outfit: The lotus is a symbol of rebirth and revival, paralleling the couple's reemergence in their brand-new post-royal life. Markle also included jewellery brands from both Canada and Britain, which are the two Commonwealth countries she's lived in. And lastly, wearing Princess Diana's bracelet is such a thoughtful and personal gesture. 

In a press release, CBS explained what to expect from the program. "In the two-hour special, Oprah speaks with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a royal, marriage, motherhood, and philanthropic work, to how she is handling life under intense public pressure," the statement said. "Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family."

"He made a decision that saved my life and saved all of us," Markle said of Prince Harry's call to leave England.

"There were also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he was born," Markle said, referencing Archie. When asked about which member of the royal family made these comments, Prince Harry responded, "That's a conversation I am never going to share. I’m not comfortable sharing that." 

Markle explained that she had suicidal thoughts while pregnant with Archie. "I didn’t want to be alive anymore," she told Winfrey. "That was a very clear and real and frightening, constant thought."

She continued: "We had to go to this event at the Royal Albert Hall after I told Harry I didn't want to be alive anymore. In the pictures, I see how tightly his knuckles are gripped around mine. We are smiling, doing our job. In the royal box, every time the lights went down, I was just weeping."

"I went to the institution and said that I needed to go somewhere to get help, that I've never felt this way before and I need to go somewhere, and they said I couldn't—that it wouldn't be good for the institution," she added.

Of his father Prince Charles, Prince Harry said, "I will always love him, but there’s a lot of hurt that's happened, and I will continue to make it one of my priorities to try and heal that relationship."

While the interview covered many serious topics, Markle and Harry also excitedly revealed that they are expecting a baby girl. Their second child will join older brother Archie, who turns 2 on May 6. The couple says the new baby girl is due in the "summertime."

"Two is it," Harry said, confirming that the baby girl will be their second and last child. 

"We were going to lunch at Royal Lodge… and it turned out the queen was finishing a church service there in Windsor. So she was going to be at the house," Markle said. She went on to say that she hadn't learned how to curtsy and didn't realize that the family still curtsied when the media wasn't present. 

"I learned [how to curtsy] very quickly right in front of the house. We just practiced and then walked in… I met her, and apparently, I did a very deep curtsy—I don't remember it—and then we just sat there, and we chatted. And it was lovely and easy, and I think, 'Thank God I hadn't known a lot about the family. Thank God I hadn't researched. I would have been so in my head about all of this.'"

"No one knows that," Markle said of their decision to make their marriage official three days before their public ceremony. "But we called the archbishop, and we just said, 'Look, this spectacle is for the world, but we want our union between us.' The vows that we have framed in our room are just the two of us in our backyard with the archbishop of Canterbury."

Driven by a deep love of fragrance from a young age and an article she read about Prince (you’ll have to tune in for that story), Price spent her time off from the long hours of television production experimenting with layering scents and formulating her own recipes for lotions and other personal-care products. It wasn’t until 1993, when her mother, Carol, nudged her to sell her Fragrant Moisture Butters—as she called them at the time—at a local flea market, that Price met her first customers, who quickly bought up her entire inventory. 

Her products were an immediate hit, but that doesn’t mean scaling the business came easy. Among the challenges of any startup, Price had an additional factor working against her. An improperly filed tax document in her past meant that for years, Carol’s Daughter was unable to secure business credit or outside investment, a constraint that forced the brand to grow solely by the means of its own profit. Though expansion was slow and steady in the early days, word spread quickly as products like Black Vanilla Hair Smoothie and Love Butter found brand evangelists to the tune of Jada Pinkett Smith, Halle Berry, and yes, Oprah. Eventually, Price made the decision to leave the world of television behind, and Carol’s Daughter went from side hustle to bona fide business. 

Turning a passion project into a nationally distributed beauty brand and a full-time profession is what many of us would consider "the dream.” But when Lisa Price started experimenting with aromatherapy oils out of her Brooklyn apartment in the early ’90s, that was far from the plan. At the time, Price was working in the television industry as a production coordinator on programs such as The Cosby Show and Here and Now, a profession that she not only adored but also credits with cultivating a creative passion that would eventually fuel the inception of her multicultural beauty brand, Carol’s Daughter. "I think part of it developed because my television gigs were enjoyable. So when I did have time off, I didn't feel that immense need to just escape. … I had energy,” she tells Hillary Kerr in this week’s episode of Second Life.

In 2014, Price faced another pivotal moment when Carol’s Daughter was acquired by L’Oréal, after a two-year process that Price describes as transformational for both the growth of the brand and herself personally: "I became a stronger person and better able to deal with those ups and downs. … So when I got put into that process of due diligence, whoa. I was ready.” Since the acquisition, the brand’s footprint has expanded nationwide, available in major retailers including Ulta, Target, and Sally Beauty.

When asked what advice Price would give to others looking to navigate changes in their own careers, her answer illustrates an ethos she’s honed throughout the years: balancing practicality and intuition. "I don’t think you can discern what you should do when you’re in a place of chaos. … Be still and be quiet and allow yourself time to think. And then when you start to think about things, write them down,” she says.

We love getting wellness and life advice from our favorite celebrities. It's always nice to hear about a different perspective and outlook, especially if it's from someone you admire. But when it comes to who the queen of life advice is, well, that's gotta be Oprah Winfrey, right? To celebrate the legend's birthday today, we've rounded up the best wellness and life advice she's blessed us with throughout the years.

Wellness

On self-care: "The best way I know for sure to stay in steady makeover mode is to take care of yourself. To feed yourself with love and loving thoughts. To eat food that's delicious to you and to your body. To engage in loving practices, like giving yourself the gift of stillness at least five minutes a day. To surround yourself with people who bring you light, and to banish all forms of negative energy."

On finding time for herself: "Alone time is when I distance myself from the voices of the world so I can hear my own."

Healthy Eating

On balance: "I can eat anything I want; I just can't eat it at the same time, which is the entire philosophy of life: You can have it all. You just can't have it all at the same time."

On eating well: "All good food comes from the earth. And whether you get that food from a farmers' market, your local grocer, or your own backyard, this I know for sure: The pure joy of eating well is worth savoring."

Life in General

On treating every moment as a learning experience: "I say this to people all the time: 'Nothing is waste.' There is not a moment that you can have that can't turn out to be useful later in life, and if you know that, life is like this huge, giant classroom."

On being yourself: "This will save you. Stop comparing yourself to other people. You're only on this planet to be you, not someone else's imitation of you… Your life journey is about learning to become more of who you are and fulfilling the highest, truest expression of yourself as a human being. That's why you're here. You will do that through your work and your art, through your relationships and love."

On failing: "Do the one thing you think you cannot do. Fail at it. Try again. Do better the second time. The only people who never tumble are those who never mount the high wire. This is your moment. Own it."

Career

On work: "Your job is not always going to fulfill you. There will be some days that you just might be bored. Other days, you may not feel like going to work at all. Go anyway, and remember that your job is not who you are, it’s just what you are doing on the way to who you will become. Every remedial chore, every boss who takes credit for your ideas—that is going to happen—look for the lessons, because the lessons are always there."

On finding your purpose: "Your real work is to figure out where your power base is and to work on that alignment of your personality, your gifts you have to give, with the real reason why you are here. Align your personality with your purpose, and no one can touch you."

Love

On not letting a relationship complete you: "I've seen so many women (and been one myself) dazed by the idea of romance, believing they're not complete unless they find someone to make their lives whole. When you think about it, isn't that a crazy notion? You, alone, make a whole person. And if you feel incomplete, you alone must fill yourself with love in all your empty, shattered spaces."

On being open to love: "The chance to love and be loved exists no matter where you are. Most of us can't see it because we have our own preconceived ideas about what it is (it's supposed to knock you off your feet and make you swoon) and how it should appear (in a tall, slim, witty, charming package). So if love doesn't show up wrapped in our personal fantasy, we fail to recognize it. I know this for sure: Love is."

Naturally, we navigated to the fashion section first and promptly felt the need to share her picks. Why? Well, Oprah is our kind of girl. The kind of girl who can fall “truly, madly, deeply in love with a pair of pj’s” and describes most tracksuits as “schlumpadinka.”

In fact, she is so truly entertaining that we want to hire her to write our product captions. Just let us know, Oprah. Oprah may be no stranger to cover shoots (she fronts her own O Magazine, don't forget). But now the multi-hyphenate is the cover star for British Vogue, posing for photographers Mert and Marcus for the magazine's August issue. Styled by the publication's editor in chief, Edward Enninful, Oprah takes black-tie dressing to new heights, wearing custom gowns and lots of diamonds throughout the spread.

In the accompanying interview, Winfrey talks politics, responding to rumors about a future political run, "In that political structure—all the non-truths, the bullshit, the crap, the nastiness, the backhanded backroom stuff that goes on—I feel like I could not exist," she said. "I would not be able to do it. It's not a clean business. It would kill me."

Additionally, Oprah touched on the current political climate, speaking out about the #MeToo movement, "People talk about 'these are such dark times,' but what if we shift the paradigm? Because I see it differently," she noted. "I see, 'Isn't this remarkable that we're waking up?' For years, women have endured craziness. This is what's happening to people. They're allowing themselves to not just become corroded, but to become hysterical. You've got to lean to the happiness."

Oprah shared that while she was originally meant to wear a cream-colored Stella McCartney look to the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, she realized two days before that it "looked white, not cream. I Googled, 'Can you wear white to a wedding?' Answer: 'No, don't risk it.'" So, in a last-minute swap, McCartney created the pink ensemble Oprah shared in the Instagram photo above.

For the cover shoot, Winfrey wore a pair of Michael Kors pants, which she called "fantastic—like pajamas, but with a crease;" a sleek Derek Lam sweater with tie detailing; and a pair of ivory canvas sneakers, the latter of which instantly caught our eye because, well, Oprah in sneakers! But really, because after a bit more digging, we learned the chic ivory shoes are actually super affordable.

Last night, stars turned out for the Los Angeles premiere of the highly anticipated book-turned-movie A Wrinkle in Time (it will officially be released in theaters on March 9). And as expected, the event was nothing short of magical.

The cast of the film, including Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon (who attended with her mini-me daughter, Ava Phillippe, and son Deacon), new mom Mindy Kaling, and Storm Reid all looked stunning on the red (well, blue) carpet. Thanks to her inspiring speech at the Golden Globes—and the subsequent debate over whether she'll run for president—Oprah is the name on everyone's lips right now. So will she or won't she?
