Though some of us—particularly those residing in places with cold climates—aren't yet prepared to accept it, winter is quickly approaching. Luckily, there are a few things that arrive alongside snow, wind, and freezing temperatures that won't induce the winter blues. We're talking about this year's cold-weather trends, which happen to have just the mood-enhancing effect we need as the days grow shorter.

After taking a trip down memory lane and studying every F/W 21 runway collection in detail, we settled on eight trends that could make even the windiest of winter days feel like nothing more than a slight breeze. With super-shiny suiting, unique outerwear, and 2.0 versions of your average winter accessories—think furry mittens, opera gloves, and puffer scarves—this season is gearing up to be an especially stylish one. There's something especially intriguing about a layering piece that doubles as a going-out staple, which is why we're so engrossed by the onesies that took over the F/W 21 runways. Spotted at presentations by LaQuan Smith, Ottolinger, Prada, Rick Owens, and more last winter, the catsuit is quickly becoming one of fashion's favorite trends for its versatility and eye-catching appeal.

If you thought the cutout craze of summer 2021 would wave goodbye once the temperatures dropped, think again. Designers appear to be digging deeper into the trend and coming up with new and innovative ways to bring the peekaboo style into winter. Think long-sleeve dresses, tops, and jumpsuits with sleek slits around the shoulders, waist, and hips, as seen at Coperni, Mugler, Michael Kors Collection, Dion Lee, and more.

From bright-red outerwear at Bottega Veneta to baby-pink handbags at Blumarine, a furry frenzy was apparent on the F/W 21 runways. Clearly, despite fashion's move away from 2020's comfort-first mentality, designers aren't ready to turn their backs on that cozy feeling just yet. This time around, though, getting comfortable looks a little different, and by that, we mean fuzzy and luxurious.

You'd be surprised at what slipping on a super-shiny trench coat, tailored suit, or pair of low-slung trousers can do for your mood, even when it is 4 p.m. and already dark outside. At least, that's what today's top designers, from Off-White and Burberry to Peter Do and Gucci, would have us believe. With metallics and latex, fashion is taking a turn toward the reflective side for winter 2021.

Sure, we're almost fully reacquainted with the outside world again, but that doesn't mean that we want to be seen at all times. Thankfully, Ami, Celine, Dior, and Courrèges found a way to make going incognito look like a purposeful style move—with the help of balaclavas, baseball caps, headscarves, and trench coats that almost completely hide your identity.

Winter 2021's most ubiquitous and aesthetically pleasing pattern? Moiré, the wavy, textured print that Marine Serre, Tom Ford, Sandy Liang, and Melitta Baumeister all featured in their F/W 21 collections. And we can see why. From puffers and blazers to dresses and trousers, the moiré effect is coming for a winter wardrobe near you.

Sweater season has hit its stride, with designers steering away from straightforward knitwear and instead opting for silhouettes that are worthy of excitement—and perhaps a purchase or two. Gabriela Hearst clearly had knitwear on the brain, as she included it in multiple ways across her namesake brand and Chloé, where she became creative director in 2020. At Ganni and The Row, knit scarves were attached to oversize sweaters, which were also present at Jonathan Simkhai.

At last, bundling up in layers and layers of winter accessories has hit the runway. Last February, we saw an influx of especially utilitarian (with a fashion twist!) accessories, ranging from down scarves and throws to fuzzy mittens, boots, and hats. Who knows? Maybe looking trendy this winter won't mean avoiding practical attire at all costs. *Crosses fingers.*

Not that fashion girls didn't care about sneakers before, but there's something about the past year that has really brought the novelty to life among the sartorially obsessed crowd. What was once an oversaturation of gray New Balance sneakers has turned into fashion girls carefully curating and investing in their sneaker collections. "Chuck 70s continue to hold their place at the top of timeless sneaker styles, with platform, deconstructed, and even furry iterations making appearances. This pair, in Yves Klein blue, emblazoned with the instantly recognizable Comme des Garcons Play hearts will add style to even the most minimal of outfits."

5. Nike x Ambush Dunk High in Deep Royal

"Yoon Ahn's Ambush Dunk High is arguably one of the most talked-about silhouettes of the year, and this royal-blue colorway only enhances its appeal. Drawing inspiration from Japanese car culture with the exaggerated swoosh and paneling, this drop has generated buzz well ahead of its June 15 release date."

I'll be ditching my chunky soles in favor of this mounted-spring bounce heel for that extra push to rejoin society for summer." 

8. A Ma Maniére x Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro SP Raised by Women

"This list would not be complete without this Jordan 3 made in collaboration with the legendary Atlanta retailer. Women and men alike were clamoring over this women's Jordan drop when it first released in April, and its June 10 restock is no different due to its use of elevated materials such as tumbled leather and suede in a neutral palette. Hopefuls like myself are counting down the days."

"Margiela is king of trompe-l'oeil, and this recent drop plays homage to this signature, deepening his collaboration with Reebok with a 2D spin on the Club C in an eye-catching colorway. There's so much to love about this collaboration, but the logos on the tongue are my favorite part."

"One of the most interesting new Nike silhouettes of the year is Matthew M. Williams's Zoom 004. I love this futuristic style in Triple Black, but it comes in Stone and Rust colorways as well. The textures and shape of the sole lend themselves to being dressed up. These Nikes are impossible not to notice."

With Angelina Jolie's minimal, neutral style aesthetic, the last thing you'd expect to see her wear is a hypebeast It item, but there are no rules anymore, so here we are. There's no getting around the fact that we've all dramatically reduced the amount of time we're spending outside, so it's pretty interesting to note that global fashion search platform Lyst has revealed that trainers are the top-performing category worldwide right now. Over the past 15 days, there has been a growing demand for sneakers, and there are five styles in particular that people are after the most.

The five most-searched-for styles right now include Converse high-top sneakers, New Balance 530, Golden Goose Superstar, Balenciaga Track sneakers and Off-White Vulcanized sneakers. Despite the fact that we'll only be using these shoes to carry out our one bit of exercise a day, they'll still be the most important item we'll invest in right now. Next up, the biggest spring/summer 2020 fashion trends you need to know. 

It's been big year for Hailey Bieber, and it appears that her style has followed suit. The model has clearly stepped up her fashion game, making headlines for everything from her Off-White by Virgil Abloh wedding dress to her '80s-inspired Princess Diana look. 

True to form, her latest ensemble showcases the denim trend that will dominate 2020: full-length denim. Bieber was spotted out in Los Angeles donning high-rise, full-length Khaite jeans, a sleek Off-White blazer, and leopard print Chloe Gosselin heeled sandals. The simplistic look is incredibly chic, namely because of her choice of jeans. 

After years of cropped jeans and kick flares, we're finally seeing a trend back towards full-length styles. As we reported back in September 2019, celebrities and street style stars alike are opting for denim that hits right on the top of the foot, as opposed to right above the ankle. Last week, I wrote about outfit ideas inspired by Rachel Green, Rory Gilmore, and Hilary Banks, and today I'm talking about Carrie Bradshaw. Haters will say I'm living in the past, but I happen to think that today's so-called "golden age of TV" doesn't hold a candle to the best late '90s and early '00s shows. If you agree, welcome to today's dose of nostalgia in the form of a very Carrie outfit worn by Sarah Jessica Parker.

In a new photo on her Instagram taken in Melbourne, Parker showed off a smattering of pieces that could have been ripped from Carrie's crazy, iconic, filled-to-the-brim closet: a checkered Off-White coat clashed with a floral Rebecca Taylor dress clashed with Gucci logo-printed knee-high socks. We're pretty savvy about knowing which kind of shoes people want. Right now, for example, we know that readers of Who What Wear love strappy sandals from Topshop, and these ballet flats from Marks & Spencer—our stats don't lie. We also know that when it comes to sneakers, Vejas are super popular, and Tevas are the comfy sandals of choice for our fashion friends on Instagram.

But when I spoke to Lyst, the global fashion search platform, none of the above styles or brands were mentioned. Where recently it's been all about simple shoes that work with everything in your wardrobe, Lyst revealed that the most-searched-for shoe brands throughout June were Gucci, Soludos, Guiseppe Zanotti, Off-White and Saint Laurent. And honestly, I'm shocked. Instead of being classic styles that would be considered wardrobe staples, most of the shoes were quite divisive and trend-led. 

Starting with the most "fashion" of the shoes was Off-White's fun Zip Tie Jelly Pumps. The blue stilettos feature a red zip tie where a buckle might usually be. They might be archetypal Virgil Abloh, but they're hardly classic closet fodder. Then there are the snake strap shoes from Guiseppe Zanotti. While this brand is popular among the A-list (Rosie Hungtington-Whiteley regularly wears the stilettos), it's still a more standout look from the label.

Next up are the platform sliders from Gucci and the cactus-embroidered Saludos espadrilles. The least controversial sandals came from Saint Laurent in the form of the flat black Nu Pieds style. Lately, it seems as though not a day goes by that I'm not triggered by a blatant form of racial insensitivity, an evident lack of diverse staff, or a lack of awareness of how systemic racism impacts every facet of life. While we're reckoning collectively with police brutality and systemic racism, the fashion industry has had to reflect upon how it needs to make serious changes in the industry. Of course, changes are happening, but for consumers, we can help propel the movement forward by taking a step back and looking at how we contribute.

Sure, we can't control what designers send down the runway. Still, one of the most fundamentally underrated ways to be an ally to the Black community (and any community for that matter) is how we spend our money. While recognizing the contributions that designers like Dapper Dan have been making to the industry is so important, I think there's genuinely no better way to appreciate and support Black artistry than by shopping from Black-owned businesses and designers. Aurora James of Brother Vellies

The first time I found the brand Brother Vellies in my feed, my heart skipped a beat. I saw a woman who looks just like me on social media (a rare occasion) wearing these incredible black feather heels. From that moment on, I was hooked, and for a good reason. Founded by Aurora James, the brand is dedicated to sustainability and works with artisans in South Africa, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Morocco to make its handcrafted shoes.

But the thoughtfulness doesn't stop at the production process; James also founded the Fifteen Percent Pledge. The nonprofit organization has been advocating for our favorite major retailers to commit to including more Black-owned businesses. Basically, whenever I’m feeling philanthropic but need a pair of shoes, I’ll be spending all my money on Brother Vellies. 

LaQuan Smith

Remember that iconic blazer look Beyoncé wore on her last On the Run II tour? That was from Queens-born designer LaQuan Smith. His glamorous and often sultry designs also have caught the attention of Cardi B, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, and other celebrities. But can you blame them? Smith has a way of creating the kinds of pieces that both Beyoncé and the rest of the world want to wear when they're feelin' themselves, and that, my friends, is a true talent.

Maximilian Davis of Ferragamo

One of the most anticipated creative director appointments in recent years? Maximilian Davis to Ferragamo. It's rare for a British Trinidadian Jamaican to secure such a lofty position in the industry, much less within only five years of graduating from the London College of Fashion. Nevertheless, Davis made waves with his namesake label because of his sultry take on tailoring, and that unique perspective has informed all of his collections thus far at Ferragamo.

Telfar Clemens

While you may know Telfar Clemens because of his "Bushwick Birkin," aka his iconic shopping totes that sell out in seconds, the truth is Clemens has been pushing societal boundaries by challenging Black and gender identity norms long before his bags became a hot commodity. He's now a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner who's collaborated with Ugg and Converse for special collections, but Clemens's approach to unisex, affordable designer clothing has long been at the ethos of this brand, making him a designer for all (quite literally). 

Virgil Abloh of Off-White 

Though Abloh passed away in 2021, his legacy lives on. The designer made waves with the luxury street label Off-White and grew his influence further when he stepped into his role as menswear artistic director for Louis Vuitton. Not only did he honor the brands’ identities when designing, but it felt as though both were a reflection of his own experiences as a Black man and the environments that shaped him. To me, that reflection in and of itself is breathtaking. 

Olivier Rousteing of Balmain

Maybe it was just me, but the 2019 Grammy outfits truly solidified my love for Olivier Rousteing at Balmain. How could one not still be in a tizzy over Beyoncé's iconic look, Jorja Smith's stunning gold sequin number, or even Kylie Jenner's avant-garde look? I know he's been the creative director for quite some time (which means I was high-key sleeping on him), but something about the documentary Wonder Boy made me fall in love with him all over again. Maybe it's his couture, perhaps it's his popular bags, or maybe it's just him, but either way, this a brand and a designer to buy into for the long haul. 

Sade Mims of Edas

Some of the best designers of the moment aren't at huge fashion houses; they're doing their own thing. That's the case with Sade Mims of Edas. Founded in 2013 in Brooklyn, the brand was a love letter to jewelry for Mims but has since expanded beyond eclectic jewelry pieces. In fact, the brand's sleek leather bags, beautifully beaded hats, and one-of-a-kind home objects are what has made this designer a favorite among artists and editors alike. Trust when we say Mims's brand is going to be your newest obsession. 

Theresa Ebagua of Chelsea Paris 

As all fashion editors can attest to, a good pair of shoes can make all the difference—and there is no other brand making shoes quite like Chelsea Paris. Founded in 2012 by the Nigerian-born, Los Angeles– and London-based Black footwear designer Theresa Ebagua, Chelsea Paris makes pieces that have been worn by icons such as Beyoncé and Lupita Nyong'o. But if you're wondering why you may not have heard of her brand yet, it's because the designer took a three-year hiatus to reestablish her approach to design and her heritage. When you can come back from a hiatus and still create shoes any editor would swoon over, you know you've got the touch. 

Felisha Noel of Fe Noel

Imagine yourself sitting in Positano, Italy, with the sun shining down on you while you’re drinking lemonade. What are you wearing? Hopefully, Fe Noel. The Grenadian womenswear designer from Brooklyn specialized in collections that practically scream "I wish I could book a flight right now." But beyond that, Noel has been known to collaborate with fellow artists to create pieces that reclaim the beauty of Black identity that’s been erased in larger historical narratives. And what's more beautiful than that? 

Nasrin Jean-Baptiste of Petit Kouraj

We've said it before, and we'll repeat it again: Petit Kouraj is a fashion-person favorite. What exactly makes this brand lovable, though? We'd say the intentionality founder Nasrin Jean-Baptiste put behind her brand. Born in London to Haitian immigrants, Jean-Baptiste's experience within the fashion industry started within the styling realm and eventually led to the founding of her handwoven bag company in 2019. But this isn't just another bag brand; cooked into the DNA of Petit Kouraj is an ethos to give back. Each bag is created with organic cotton, leather, and rayon and is made by a woman-led organization in Haiti that employs local artisans. Talk about wearable art. 

Rebecca Henry and Akua Shabaka of House of Aama

Fashion is all about storytelling—at least that's how the mother-daughter duo behind House of Aama, Rebecca Henry and Akua Shabaka, approach design. Founded in 2015, the brand has become known for how it upcycles vintage and deadstock fabrics to create unique pieces. It's not just the duo's sustainable approach to design that's intriguing but rather how they use historical research and archives to explore and honor the African diaspora in different collections, resulting in pieces that are the physical embodiment of uniqueness. 

Edvin Thompson of Theophilio

No matter the art form, there's a level of alchemy required to meld inspiration from various places, cultures, and ideas to create something completely new. Fashion designer Edvin Thompson has already mastered that with his brand Theophilio. Founded in 2016, the label is, in his own words, "a wearable biography," with nods to his childhood in Jamaica, New York City's progressive culture, and what's happening at the moment. But what makes Thompson's work so special is his unique perspective and how he melds his lived experience with upcycled fabrics to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Maybe it's alchemy, maybe it's magic, or possibly it's just Edvin Thompson. 

Brandon Blackwood

For most fashion houses, it can take decades to attain that "cult status." For the Brooklyn-born designer Brandon Blackwood, it only took seven. Of course, building a following didn't magically happen overnight. The brand was relatively small and only known among the fashion community until the release of the label's viral "End Systemic Racism" tote in 2020. That tiny bag may have catapulted Blackwood into international acclaim, but the designer's continued ability to create buzzy pieces keeps the label ever-relevant. It's expanded its handbag offering and launched an eyewear, footwear, and outerwear line. All of this is to say that this brand will only get bigger from here. 

Christopher John Rogers

For people in the know, it should come as no surprise that designer Christopher John Rogers has taken the industry by storm. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the designer brings the Southern bigger-than-life essence to all of his colorful designs, and people are noticing. Not only did he receive the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award in 2019, but also his collections since then have cued collective gasps. In many ways, Rogers creates the type of clothing I hope the fashion industry includes more of in the future, which is to say his work crosses boundaries. His creations are so excellent and so unapologetic that they force the world to no longer see the designer for the color of their skin, but rather for the beautiful things in which they choose to create.

No one is having a better few months than Virgil Abloh. Lyst just released its report for the third quarter of 2018, and Abloh's Off-White brand took the number one spot on the list of the hottest fashion brands right now. Thanks to frenzied demand for the label's sneakers and a high-profile collaboration with Serena Williams, among other buzzy moments, Off-White even beat out Gucci this quarter in terms of online searches, browses, and purchases.

"Over the last year, the cult streetwear label has risen 33 places in the Index, now surpassing Gucci and Balenciaga at the top of the table for the first time," Lyst explains in its report. "Thanks to a quarter packed with globally hyped launches and collaborations, the brand buzz surrounding Abloh and his disruptive creative aesthetic continues to grow."

Oh, and there's a fair share of throwback posts, which we definitely support. But it's Roberts's latest post that might be our favorite yet: a chic selfie of her wearing an Off-White logo look that we'd be much less surprised to see in Kylie Jenner's or Hailey Baldwin's closet. Fun fact, though: Off-White's F/W 16 line was actually inspired by Julia Roberts.

Prior to the debut of the collection, Virgil Abloh told W that Roberts's Pretty Woman quote "You're obviously in the wrong place" was his source of inspiration. "Being feminine and empowered—there's a change in the tide," he added. "It's not typical or traditional." Clearly, Abloh holds a special place in his heart for Roberts. Now, what we'd really like to see is her perched on the front row of the next Off-White runway show…

For better or worse, fashion is a world of rules. And while it’s undoubtedly a channel for creativity, there are certain precedents that reign true so far as style is concerned. With varying guidelines for different seasons and occasions, not to mention adopting ever-changing trends, keeping up with what is “in” and “out” can feel exhausting to say the least. While it’s all too easy to feel the need to buy into all the rules and tips about what to wear and when to wear it, something about constructing an outfit so meticulously can start to feel a little insincere.

This month, we’re all about advocating for fearless fashion, so we’re taking the opportunity to consider what makes our outfits “wrong”—and accept the fact that that’s okay. In fact, it’s more than okay; it’s completely normal, and if you listened to every guideline and piece of advice, we’re willing to bet you’d end up with nothing to wear at all. No matter the occasion, no matter the season, we’re sorry to tell you… but you will always end up wearing the wrong thing. But at the end of the day, there’s a certain beauty in that. It’s the age-old adage at its finest: “You can’t please everyone.” And that’s especially true where style is concerned.

Because fashion sense is something so personal, the fact that it varies widely from person to person should be something inspiring—not limiting. The next time you find yourself questioning whether or not you can pull off a trend, take a moment to tap into your fearless side and shun any “rules” in exchange for whatever makes you happy.

To break it down, we’ve called out ten reasons why you’ll always end up wearing the wrong thing. And called out a few examples of great outfits and pieces that prove that sometimes wearing the “wrong thing” is oh so right.

1. You'll break a fashion rule

This white pant and sweater combo proves that the old rule of avoiding the light trousers during the colder is one that should be ignored. By pairing her camel sweater with white trousers and boots, the outfit provided a clean alternative to winter blacks that can begin to feel a bit repetitive.

We’ve spoken before about the ways that a subtle hint of “ugly” can transform an outfit, and this season’s favourite accessories are confirming it. From dad sneakers, to mini sunglasses, to the infamous bucket hat, a little “ugly” is proving to be a game-changer to take your outfit to the next level.

5. You'll wear something dated

Thought that the days of logomania were long gone? Think again. This year, there’s been a resurgence of logo-centric styles from Fendi jackets to Gucci tee shirts and beyond.

6. Too much going on

Anything goes this season, and unique combinations (such as skirts with sneakers) are proving that there’s no such thing as “too much”. We’d even encourage you to add in a metallic bag, for good measure.

7. Too little going on

On the other end of the spectrum is minimalist style at it’s finest. This look proves that even something as classic as jeans and white top can be an amazing outfit when adapted with interesting silhouettes and shapes.

8. The proportions won't be right

One of the most iconic street style looks of the year, Centenera’s Céline skirt suit proves that unconventional proportions can outshine traditional tailoring when done right.

9. It'll be impractical

No one said that the itty-bitty bags of 2018 were practical. There’s nothing logical about a purse that can barely fit an iPhone, but nevertheless, they sure are adorable which is reason enough for us to get behind the trend.

10. You'll be overdressed 

We’ve all been there. Some days you just want to throw on a pretty dress and fur coat and live your best life. But if you’ve ever put together the ensemble, only to feel a little over-the-top, you’re not alone. However, we’re arguing that sometimes going a little overboard is just what the doctor ordered. Next time you hesitate, remember to embrace fearless fashion, and wear it if it makes you happy anyway.

Now you know the ten reasons why you'll always wear the wrong thing. But more importantly, now you can see why it actually doesn't matter; so go on and embrace your fearless side this season.

Drumroll, please… there's a new trend that's reigning "supreme" among teenagers. According to a recent survey conducted by Piper Jaffray, teens are very much into streetwear labels—i.e., Supreme, Adidas, and Vans, to name a few—and hence, the streetwear trend (more info about the history of streetwear can be found here).

As Business of Fashion reported from the survey, the demand for clothing and shoes that give off that classic "street" feel has skyrocketed. "Adidas cracked the top 10 for the first time among teens … while Supreme rose from 10th place last fall to 7th in the latest survey," per BoF.

In the footwear group, Vans saw the biggest increase, jumping "from the preferred choice of 9% of teens a year ago to 16% in the spring survey."

The reason behind these gains that are particularly in the footwear category? Erinn Murphy, senior research analyst at Piper Jaffray and co-author of the report, shared with BoF that "both Vans and Adidas have this 'open-source' platform where they allow pop culture to help guide and influence how they are positioned with the consumer today. Having a very collaborative environment when it comes to the softer side of brands is very important."

The report also revealed that brands taking part in the "logomania" trend are heavily favored by teens, including Gucci, Champion, and Tommy Hilfiger. Read on to shop the streetwear trend and then head to Business of Fashion for the full rundown of the report.

While teeny tiny frames and slim cat-eyes have been everywhere lately, we couldn’t help but notice another trend brewing just below the surface: Oblong sunglasses. As opposed to the ultra thin frames that took over fashion week, these lenses are a like the filled-out cousin of the micro sunnies. Their rectangular shape is familiar, just a little different this time around.

To further our suspicions, Illesteva just launched its newest collection. And yes, it includes the oblong rectangular frames we’re talking about. Considering the fact that Illesteva rolled out both round frames and tortoiseshell before those trends took to the masses, we’re thinking that this is yet another example of the brand predicting (or starting) the latest sunglasses trend.

Illesteva isn’t the only brand to catch on. In fact, we’ve been noticing some of the most credible labels creating unique versions of the style as of late. From Off White to Poppy Lissiman, cool-kid designers are getting behind the oblong shape—and we’re taking that as a sign that we should too. Word just got out that Louis Vuitton has just named Virgil Abloh as its new menswear designer. The Off-White founder (and Kanye West favourite) has garnered a cult following throughout the years—and for a good reason. There’s no denying that Abloh has a keen eye for fresh styles; which may be exactly what the European fashion house has been needing.

There's no denying that Louis Vuitton has a reputation for being a classical brand, but Abloh’s new appointment speaks to the fact that modern shoppers want fashion that is not just recognisable—but also wearable. According to the New York Times, Louis Vuitton’s executive director Michael Burke shared that “Virgil is incredibly good at creating bridges between the classic and the zeitgeist of the moment.” And that’s exactly what we hope to see.

No stranger to collaborations, Abloh has worked with brands like Fendi, Nike, Jimmy Choo, and Supreme to name a few. Speaking to NYT, he shared that this position is somewhat like another iteration of all those collabs of days gone by. “In a way, all of my output has been to make a compelling case for me to take on a role such as this,” Mr. Abloh said. “I think of it as kind of the ultimate collaboration.”

If Louis Vuitton has been feeling a little tired (or just too old) lately, we’re taking this as a sign that that’s about to change. Quickly. Abloh’s almost unbelievable levels of popularity, combined with his uncanny ability to make everything a little cooler, pretty much guarantees that we’re about to see Louis Vuitton like we never have before. Even Kim Kardashian wished him congrats on his Insta post, talk about influence. What he does, others follow. And we have no doubt that his foray into menswear will seep into runways and street style alike.

Abloh has a gift for making fashion feel accessible, and we can’t help but wonder what this will look like in terms of Louis Vuittion, a brand which already has such a strong history behind it. Abloh's perspective? “I want to use Louis Vuitton’s history with travel to really look at different cultures around the world to help make all our humanity visible” he told NYT. “When creativity melds together with global issues, I believe you can bring the world together. Fashion on this level can really open eyes.” Let’s just say… we can’t wait for our eyes to be opened.

Can't get enough of Abloh? Shop the Off-White X Sunglass Hut collaboration online. 

It seems like everything Virgil Abloh does garners a buzz, and perhaps the buzziest look from his Off-White show in Paris was a bustier top and matching mini shorts dreamed up in pale blue tapestry denim that Bella Hadid wore to open the show. With a crisp white button-down top tucked underneath the bustier, it’s a styling trick we’re sure to see repeated everywhere soon. And the theme of the show? “West Village,” which Virgil Abloh attributes to Sex and the City and a present-day version of Carrie Bradshaw as his muse. Navigating winter stylishly can sometimes be a tall order. Layers can look chic up to a certain point—but once you start piling them on it can take a turn for the worst. If you’ve ever spilled a glass of red wine, smudged your lipstick onto a white shirt, or thrown something red into a load of your sheets, it’s probably left a pink stain that seems impossible to remove. If you’re curious about how to get rid of them, there are some easy methods that will banish them for good. Ahead we’re breaking down how to get pink stains out of white clothes.

1. If the stain is due to makeup, try placing rubbing alcohol on the garment and blot with a cotton ball.

2. Take a cup of non-chlorine bleach or distilled vinegar, and combine it with your usual detergent. Then wash the stained clothing.

3. If this proves unsuccessful, soak the garments in oxygen-based bleach and cold water for approximately eight hours.

4. Repeat these steps until the stain disappears, and do not tumble dry your clothing until the stain is removed.

If we had to guess the item in your closet that gets the most wear, we’d put our money on your favorite pair of skinny jeans. They’re comfortable, versatile, and hey, flattering. While we’ll always want to fall back on our classic blues and blacks, though, having fashion-forward skinnies is a must too. Now that we’re a few months into 2017, there’s no time like the present to do a little spring-cleaning (and shopping) and jump on the skinny-jean styles that are going to be huge in the coming months.

To help navigate which trends are in and out, we reached out to retail analytics company Edited. Head analyst Emily Bezzant took a closer look at the market data and shared which trends are flying off the shelves—and which have stopped moving the needle. According to Bezzant, “Skinny jeans in nontraditional denim colors are selling out slowly despite seeing higher discounts, notably pinks.” Yes, the data shows that colored skinny jeans are on the way out.

So while it may be time to ditch rainbow-hued skinnies (unless you really love them—in which case, by all means, continue to wear), Bezzant predicts that denim with special details is going to take over this year. She specifically calls out ripped knees, embroidery, and frayed or step hems as standout styles. “With activewear becoming more acceptable attire for daywear, denim has had to become that bit more special to warrant sales,” she said.

What comes to mind when you think of Levi's? Perhaps the brand’s signature 501 jeans or its classic denim jacket. Whatever pops into your brain, it's safe to say you wouldn't immediately associate Levi's with floor-length denim coats and yellow side-stripe jeans—but that's exactly what's included in the new collaboration between Levi's Made & Crafted and Off-White.

The buzzy label, designed by Virgil Abloh, has created a capsule collection of innovative, fashion-forward denim pieces for Levi's Made & Crafted, including exaggerated wide-leg trousers, color-block jackets, and more. The pieces are available on Off-White's website, but be warned: The unique items have investment-worthy price tags.

When the collaboration was first announced back in March, Levi's chief product officer, Karyn Hillman, explained to Vogue why the brand chose Abloh: "[Virgil] has such a beautiful, varied background in architecture and music and fashion," Hillman told the magazine at the time. "He's such a master at mixing those elements—we found that really inspirational."

With his brand Off-White, Virgil Abloh (who just happens to be Kanye West’s creative director) is reimagining everything we thought we knew about streetwear.

Launched this year by street style stars Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio, new brand Attico has already mastered the ability to give cool girls exactly what they want, plus the things they never knew they needed.

Denmark-based Ganni is already a hit with It girls and bloggers, but judging by the looks of its latest collection, the brand is about to reach new heights.

Already a street style hit, Magda Butrym’s arrival on Net-a-Porter means her reach is only growing (just as we suspected).

So who is Virgil Abloh? This is a question you're going to be asking yourself a lot in 2016 because any fashion insider you may come into contact with—whether physically or via the ingenious medium of social media and on editorials sites such as this—is going to be talking about him. Set up in 2014, this relatively new brand has found major footing amongst the artistos of the streetwear circuit. However, it is about to hit the mainstream with influential stores such as Net-a-Porter looking to stock the brand for next season.

In fact, every A/W 16 press day we go to, buyers are singing the praises of Abloh's unisex-friendly bombers, bikers, jeans and sweatshirts, but he does also have a dedicated women's line under the Off-White umbrella. So while his current fan club is predominantly male and highly snobby about their garms, you can bet your bottom dollar cool girls the globe over will be wearing his wares come fashion week time in September.

Yes, really. So aside from the marketing genius that is KW, Virgil is the man behind many a Yeezy success story. Combined, these two certainly know the power of a brand's image and signatures—something that Off-White has also mastered in the instantly recognisable barcode-like stripes emblazoned across anything and everything, from silver-foil anoraks to fuzzy backpacks.

With over 537k followers on his personal Instagram account (@virgilabloh), and over 362k on Off-White's brand account (@off____white), Virgil's reach is very big. Plus, he spends a lot of time on social media, so there's always something new to discover via his experiences.

Of course he does! Abloh told GQ that his version of Louis Vuitton is cult-favourite streetwear label Supreme. But we're pretty certain he's got plenty of Vuitton in that wardrobe too…

Travelling from city to city, Abloh's schedule of DJing and designing is understandably chock-full. But he keeps in touch with his super-fans on Instagram (@virgilabloh) and is apparently addicted to Whatsapp.

That includes a very discerning Mr J.W.Anderson, which says a lot about the cred that comes with owning something from Off-White.
