So when TikTok claims that a full-coverage foundation looks like skin, we can be a bit apprehensive. Do we comb through every comment section in search of more information? Of course. Do we make sure creators aren't using the beauty filter? Absolutely. Before we're editors, we're market researchers, so we had to get our hands on the oh-so-viral Dior Forever Skin Perfect Multi-Use Foundation Stick ($52) to give our raw and unfiltered review.

A well-rounded review starts with the packaging, and it's safe to say we were thoroughly impressed by this foundation stick's sleek black tube before even opening it. From the magnetic closure to how easily it sits in your hand to how beautiful it looks on your vanity, this product is nothing short of luxurious. Luckily for us, it's more than just a pretty bottle. The first swipe felt like gliding a stick of butter onto your face, and that's a good thing. While most foundations feel too thick or too watery, this truly felt like a second layer of skin. It melted right into my skin and blended like an absolute dream. Talk about a natural, blurred finish. According to the product description, this makeup-skincare hybrid offers 24-hour wear and all-day hydration. And most importantly, it lets your skin breathe. I could ramble all day about how much I adore this product, but I'll let our beauty team take the mic to tell you why we give it 10s across the board.

This is no surprise to the beauty team here at WWW—we've remained tuned into every single launch and look from the iconic brand all year long. In 2024, the Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder ($38) reigned supreme (and became my personal favorite), alongside the Lip Contour 2.0 Automatic Matte Lip Pencil ($21), but the list of best sellers doesn't stop there.

I like to think of 2024 as the year of complexion products. Just think of all the concealers, skin tints, and foundations that were released this year. And in the sea of viral foundations, Huda Beauty's Easy Blur Natural Airbrush Foundation ($37) came out on top. I won't bore you with the stats, but this beloved foundation received high praise from some of the most trusted beauty content creators. Our editors test-drove this foundation and the reviews were surprising.

Before we get into our honest thoughts, let's do a product breakdown. Easy Blur is a lightweight, medium-to-buildable coverage foundation that's non-comedogenic (meaning it won't clog your pores) and ultra-blurring. The key ingredients are 1.5% niacinamide, which smooths the look of uneven texture and tone, and silica, which blurs the look of pores to help you achieve that filter-like finish. After Huda Beauty founder, Huda Kattan, worked on over 100 (yes, 100) versions of this product, it finally launched in 29 shades and quickly took social media by storm. I only did one layer and it provided a true medium amount of coverage, but I'd stop there if you prefer a more skin-like look. I'm no stranger to dark, rich lip liner, but I am new to the concept of choosing a beauty product based on the color of my nipples. I'm sure I'm not the first person to have to look inside my shirt before picking a lip liner shade, and I certainly won't be the last, especially now we have a whole team of Who What Wear editors singing the praises of Glossier's Lip Line ($18).

Many people avoid lip liners for fear of having unnatural-looking lips or choosing the wrong shade, but the nipple-matching technique simplifies the process and ensures your lips get that "my lips but better" look. And when I find a lip liner as impressive as this one, there's simply no going back. Glossier has dubbed it an "enhancing pencil" in bold letters right next to its five-star rating, and it lives up to that title. It's creamy, it's long-lasting, it glides like a dream, and it doesn't dry out my lips. Gone are the days of only wearing lip liner with a full face of makeup on a special occasion. My co-workers and I took all eight natural shades for a test-drive to prove it to you.

"Where have these lip liners been all of my life?! If I could create a dream liner, Glossier's Lip Line would be it. While the shades are designed to match your nipples (Ha! You're about to become intimately acquainted with the Who What Wear team!), my lip color is deeper and rosier, and I typically look for neutral liners that are an exact match, or just a tad richer, to enhance my natural hue. I never wear just one shade of lip liner—I go darker on the center parts of my lips and lighter on the outer corners, so I used both Bit and Flush, and the combination couldn't have been more perfect. The formula is so creamy, but unlike other liners I've tried, the consistency isn't so slippery that you're left with under-fed pigment. It's a dream to apply, and I highly recommend snagging the sharpener as a $9 add-on simply because it's cute AF. But the first swatch glided on so nicely that I couldn't tell if any of the product actually came off on my skin. It blended in that smoothly! The blurring effect is what sold me. Goodbye, redness, pores, and texture! Formulated with a ceramide-peptide complex, winged kelp extract, and a butterfly lavender extract, this makeup product acts more like skincare. These potent anti-aging ingredients make the skin look firmer and smoother while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Do you ever look at a product and have no idea how it works but feel 100% certain that you need to try it? I don't experience this often, but we're seeing some major innovations in the beauty space, and admittedly, it's hard to keep my composure. Heated lash curlers, self-setting concealers, pH-changing blushes, and tone-adapting sunscreens are just some of the products that elicited an immediate reaction from me. Most recently, the product that left my brow furrowed and my interest piqued was Milk Makeup's Cooling Water Jelly Tint ($24).

When I stumbled upon these brightly colored, compact tubes that I could easily throw into my purse, I was excited to get my hands on them. I'm a sucker for fun packaging, which Milk Makeup has mastered, but the real joy came when I saw content creators reveal the product's Jell-O-like formula, which looked good enough to eat. My intrusive thoughts told me (and so many members of the TikTok beauty community) to take a bite out of this jelly tint, but I fought the urge and swiped it across my lips and cheeks instead. This tint is different from others I've used—the instant cooling effect will be the most blissful refresh as the weather gets warmer. I couldn't stop applying it, and neither could my fellow editors. As much as I'd like to master the art of the no-makeup makeup look, I'm either completely bare-faced or wearing a full face of makeup. Let's just say the TikTok algorithm worked overtime by putting Danessa Myricks Beauty's Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder ($36) on my feed, and my fellow editors are also singing its praises.

There are so many factors that go into choosing a foundation, skin tint, or any other base products, but the key things I look for are texture, coverage, wear over time, and shade range. This balm-to-powder formula checked every single box, and I was impressed beyond belief. The blurring effects are no joke. Dark spots? Gone. Fine lines? Blurred. Discoloration? Disappeared. How is all of that possible in a weightless, medium-coverage formula? I'd like to ask (and thank) Danessa Myricks myself. This product can be used to prime, highlight, contour, set, and add coverage, but no matter how you choose to use it, just know that the results will be flawless. I know this all sounds way too good to be true, but I have the WWW beauty team's testimonies and before-and-after photos as proof for you below.

"I had no clue what to expect before trying this product. I heard plenty of rave reviews, but I almost always want full coverage with my base products, and I rarely opt for formulas that promise a matte finish. (How can a product that looks so, so creamy end up feeling and looking more like a powder?) While you won't get a lot of coverage with this product, it's about as good as it can get when it comes to a natural-looking skin tint. Before I tested this balm, I only kept one other skin tint in my arsenal, but this one is so perfect that I think it's elbowed its way into my starting lineup. It truly does blur anything and everything you might want to camouflage on your face—for me, it's dark circles and some sun-inflicted discoloration—and it blends and buffs into your skin like butter while somehow feeling completely weightless. I won't reach for it on days when I'm wearing a full face, but it does give me a hit of no-makeup makeup magic if I want something lighter while still looking completely natural. Out of curiosity, I also tried it as a primer—I applied Kosas's new BB cream on top of it—and it gave me the absolute best finish and result I think I've ever had with my base products. Truly airbrushed! Last thing: I always appreciate when a base product is noncomedogenic and won't send my sensitive, acne-prone skin into a tizzy. To make sure, I always run new products I try through this checker, and happily, this one gets the green light and contains zero pore-clogging ingredients."

"Okay, this product completely exceeded my expectations. If you don't typically wear complexion products that offer a ton of coverage, I hear you. But this balm is perfect for those occasions when you want to be photo-ready but still feel like your skin looks like skin. This formula is so balmy and hydrating, yet it keeps me looking matte in all the right places. I can confirm I will be wearing this to dinner with my friends tomorrow night and as a bridesmaid at my cousin's wedding in May."

"I was hesitant to try this because I haven't had the best experience with foundations that have a balm texture in the past. They tend to look thick and cakey on my skin and settle into fine lines and texture. I could tell this one was different when I scooped out a pea-sized amount and put it on the back of my hand. It felt smooth and silky—almost like a silicone-based primer. When I applied it to my skin, it blended easily and dried down to a budge-proof finish. My only word of caution is to choose a shade that matches your skin tone perfectly since it provides ample coverage. The one I chose was a shade or two lighter than my skin tone, and I had to compensate with lots of bronzer."

I am not being hyperbolic when I say my jaw was agape the entire time I was applying this balm. I initially swiped some product on with my fingers, and I was wildly impressed by the shade match. To even everything out, I used a beauty blender, and that's when I saw the blurring effects instantly set in. Although this intends to leave a matte finish, it's not a finish that feels or looks cakey (my biggest fear when putting on base products). I still had a healthy glow and a natural, smooth finish that I've truly only ever achieved with a filter. I'm currently breaking out, so I knew that I'd be able to put this product to the test and see how buildable the coverage truly is. I don't know if you can tell by the pictures above, but my dark circles did a disappearing act along with my acne scars. I couldn't be happier with this product.

Can I humble brag for a second? Ever since I started working at Who What Wear, my co-workers have called me "the queen of blush" (their words, not mine). You can pretty much spot my blush in the darkest rooms, from the farthest distances, and on almost any occasion. It's by far the most complimented part of my makeup, garnering comments from strangers online and in real life. I can never receive too many compliments, so I'll try just about any blush out there to see what it can do for me. Even the most pigmented formulas don't intimidate me—give me all the hot pinks, bright reds, and peaches that pack a punch. Patrick Ta's Major Headlines Crème and Powder Blush Duo ($36) is known for its highly pigmented formula and gorgeous range of shades, so imagine my excitement when it won the Internet Famous poll on Instagram Stories this month.

This blush duo took social media by storm when Patrick Ta applied it on a client in what looked like a reversed method. Rather than applying the crème blush first and then setting it with the powder, Ta did the opposite and left TikTok commenters in a state of shock. Ta recommends applying the powder to the apples of your cheeks with a brush and then using a sponge to apply the crème to bring the skin back to life. "When you layer two textures together, it's going to allow your blush to last that much longer, and you're not going to have to retouch as much," Ta explained in a TikTok tutorial. Available in 11 bold shades and created for every single skin tone, this blush boasts rave reviews (4.7 stars, to be exact), and our beauty team couldn't stand by and watch without giving our input. We put this method and compact to the test below, and the reviews are nearly unanimous.

"I never thought I'd try a blush more pigmented than the Rare Beauty blush, but I stand corrected. The first time I put this blush on, I had to take it off and start over because I was giving clown. Even after reapplying with a light hand, I still had to put foundation around the edges to soften it. The color, however, is very pretty—it's such a good neutral pink. I also couldn't believe how well the powder melted into my skin—it's unlike any powder formula I've used. I'm a powder-blush hater, but this one might have converted me. If I ever leave the house without at least three lip products in my purse, my entire day is thrown off. It sounds excessive, but three is the bare minimum while the threat of chapped lips is running rampant this season. I need the liner, the tint, and the gloss ready to go at all times, and I've carefully chosen each based on my makeup look of the day. But if you did a scan of the bottom of my purse right now, you'd shockingly only find one lip product there, and that's the E.l.f. Cosmetics Glow Reviver Lip Oil ($8).

Okay, I lied. There are definitely three products in my purse right now because I picked up two more shades of this lip oil at Ulta this weekend. When I see a viral product with a single-digit price point, I have no choice but to cave and purchase multiple shades. (Don't blame me—blame girl math.) My co-workers never judge and are always down to join in on the fun, so they tried and reviewed this $8 gem for you below. I hate to spoil the ending, but we've all come to the conclusion that this ultra-glossy lip oil is hydrating, non-sticky, and pretty damn flattering on every skin tone. While the tint applies sheer, it adds a nice natural flush of color with a glistening finish. Some of the key ingredients are squalane, apricot oil, and jojoba oil, which add nourishment and remove the need for any base products before use. And don't get me started on the plush doe-foot applicator that feels extra luxe and pillowy soft on the lips. I could go on and on about why I'm vowing to keep this in my daily rotation, but I'll let my fellow editors do the talking.

"I thought I'd already found a dupe for my all-time favorite lip oil (the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil), but after trying this, I realized it didn't even come close. This E.l.f. Cosmetics product is a fraction of the Dior price, yet the consistency is very similar. It's cushiony without being heavy, and it's glossy without being sticky. It also enhances my natural lip color so I don't need to layer a lipstick or tint underneath. By the way, 'enhances' is the keyword. It doesn't deposit much pigment, but I actually prefer it that way because it looks more natural. My favorite attribute has to be the chunky doe-foot applicator. It's rare that all nine of our WWW beauty editors are on the same page with one particular type of makeup, but we can all agree that foundation is just not our thing. At least not for every day. We live for the skin tints, full-coverage concealers, and CC creams, but foundations don't typically fit into our everyday beauty routines. This doesn't stop us from trying all of the latest and greatest foundations on the market. (Bonus points if it goes viral.) Despite not being the biggest fans, we know exactly what to look for in a good foundation. Does it crease after a few hours? Is it buildable? Does it pair well with our go-to concealer? Does it suddenly look like there's a filter on our selfies? The questions are endless and our standards are high, so we tested Glossier's Stretch Fluid Foundation ($34), which is the brand's first-ever foundation.

I've been a fan of Glossier since my first time visiting the NYC flagship store in 2018. I opened a pink bubble wrap cosmetic case filled with Boy Brow and Cloud Paint and considered those my go-to products for years. Fast-forward five years and now it's expanded to foundation with buildable coverage and Gen Z's favorite fragrance. Like all of Glossier's other best-selling products, the Stretch Fluid Foundation leaves you with a natural finish and offers light to medium coverage. Think your skin but better. It comes in 32 shades and has a gel-cream formula that glides on the skin with ease and melts right in. Unlike most foundations out there, this one is 89% skincare-based, and you can see that so clearly in the healthy glow you get upon application. "I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again—I am *not* a foundation girlie. However, there are times when I want slightly fuller coverage and complete redness control that my daily tinted moisturizer doesn’t offer. This Glossier foundation is so lightweight and truly does have a skin-like finish once applied. I honestly didn’t even feel the need to apply powder afterward since it melted so beautifully into my skin. I went to take a selfie to showcase the final result and thought a retouch filter was on. "As a freckle face, I’ve always hated foundation. I also have loved Glossier’s Stretch concealer for years—I’ve been using it since I was in my early 20s. It’s perfect for me because it sinks into my skin and has a dewy finish, so it never even looks like I’m wearing concealer. Needless to say, I had high hopes for the Stretch foundation. As a staunch anti-foundation girl, I’m impressed. It does require a bit more blending in than I expected, especially for a more breathable formula, but once it’s blended in, it’s virtually undetectable and covers redness and imperfections without turning my face into a freckle-free mask. I think it does such a good job of evening out my skin and keeping it glowy. "Foundation is incredibly tricky because there are so many random factors that can totally derail your end result. (Skin prep or lack thereof, using a silicone-based primer with a water- or oil-based foundation… The list goes on.) So whenever I’m trying out a new formula, I do my best to pair it with other skincare and complexion products from the same brand. This way, there’s a better guarantee that everything will blend and melt together cohesively. (For instance, I prepped my skin with Glossier’s After Baume and also used the Stretch Concealer and Cloud Paint Blush.) All in all, I would say I liked but didn’t LOVE this foundation. I found it more difficult to blend and work into my skin than some of my other favorites. Although, I had better luck once I ditched the brush and just used my fingers. That said, once it is blended, the gel-based formula really does become one with your skin, and it looks pretty undetectable while still feeling lightweight and comfortable. While I'm not vehemently against foundation, I've ignored expert advice from my favorite makeup artists and gotten into the habit of using concealer as my base. (I'm sorry, but it works.) When I heard Glossier finally launched a foundation, I was keen to try it because I know that the brand's products specialize in enhancing your natural beauty as opposed to covering or transforming it. This foundation was super lightweight and buildable. I even intentionally started out with two pumps despite seeing the recommendation for one pump because I really wanted it to cover up my hyperpigmentation and an unevenness on my cheeks. In this regard, it did exactly what I needed it to. I loved how it looked immediately after application, but I felt that it lost its blurring effect over time. It won't sit in the back of my beauty drawer, though. "First, I’ll start with what I really liked about this foundation. It’s really breathable and lightweight so you don’t even feel like you’re wearing anything at all. Second, it isn’t heavy or comedogenic and is silicone-free, making it safe for my sensitive, acne-prone skin. I actually thought it left a really nice, almost-dewy finish on the skin. What I didn’t like, however, was that it didn’t blend as easily as I would have liked, and it required some building if you’re looking for something a bit more full coverage. Putting on makeup has always been therapeutic for me. I get to stand in front of the mirror and blast my favorite songs while deciding which vibe I want to channel for the day. Are we going with a full beat? Are we taking risks and putting on eye shadow? Or is the no-makeup makeup look saving the day after a late start? No matter which look I go for, concealer is always on the agenda. I hold it accountable for making me look awake and refreshed on any given day. (Goodbye, dark circles.) With so much responsibility on its shoulders, my concealer needs to live up to its promises. So when the internet can't shut up about a new concealer on the market, time magically becomes available in my schedule to watch reviews and learn about the product. This month's product of interest was Makeup by Mario's SurrealSkin Awakening Concealer ($29), which my co-workers and I gladly tested and reviewed for you below.

Do you ever try one product from a brand and immediately realize that you'll 100% be coming back for more? Well, this happens to me quite often. I tried the Makeup by Mario SurrealSkin Liquid Foundation ($42) back in February and was certain that I'd become a fan of all the brand's products. Just look at me now, eight months later, testing and loving the SurrealSkin concealer. Its biggest appeal is its self-setting formula, which eliminates the need for powder, but I'm more drawn to the fact that it's crease-proof. Creasing is my number-one enemy, so I'm quick to charge my credit card when I find concealers that actively combat it. The caffeine-infused ingredients in this concealer are the cherry on top, encouraging de-puffing, tightening, and smoothing. Doing all of the above while also lasting all day sounds like a tough feat, so six beauty editors and I test-drove this new concealer to see if it lives up to the challenge. I can count the number of times I've worn eye shadow in 2023 on one hand. I've spent the past year perfecting my makeup routine for every season, and I've come to realize that no matter how much my routine shifts to accommodate the weather, primer is never one of my steps. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think bronzer is the backbone of any good makeup look. It adds color and dimension, it can sculpt and frame your face, and you can even use it on your eyelids. When it's done well, it's a reminder of just how nice the sunshine effect really is, and when it's applied poorly, well, it makes me think of my orange-tinted teen years. If only I had access to the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream ($50) during that time, I probably wouldn't be so desperate to erase those awkward memories.

But alas, now I know that as far as bronzers go, Les Beiges is the cream of the crop. (And I've tried hundreds of bronzers, so you shouldn't take that statement lightly.) The cream-gel formula uses light-reflecting pigments combined with mineral waxes that provide a healthy, sun-kissed glow unmatched by any other bronzer. I like using it all over, but it also works on areas where the sun would naturally hit, such as the cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin. You can also use it as a contour or even on your shoulders and décolleté. But no matter where you use it, it hits every single time. My co-workers also tested it, and they had lots to say—keep scrolling for their takes.

I have mixed feelings about overachievers—mostly because they make me feel bad about myself. But when it comes to my makeup, it's a completely different story. I want any product I use to go above and beyond its claims. I want to be surprised, even delighted, by the end result, and the L'Oréal Telescopic Lash Lift Mascara ($15) delivered. To be frank, I was rendered speechless by its powers.

I'm not totally sure what I was expecting to happen. When a product causes this much of a commotion on TikTok (it has a whopping 1.3 billion views), I know I'll either love the damn thing or be completely underwhelmed. I've been in this business long enough to know that hype isn't always warranted. I also know that not all mascaras are created equally, and this one has a wand that puts all others to shame. It has double-hooked bristles that allow for closer application to the eyelash line. The front-hook bristles lift and load lashes from root to tip, and the side-hook bristles help comb and separate lashes. All this means is that if you want to trick people into thinking you're wearing faux lashes, this mascara will do the trick. "This mascara has been causing a stir online and IRL now that I've told everyone I know how much I love it. I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm pretty picky about mascara and very few impress me, but this wand alone got brownie points. "If brow-grazing length, lift, and separation are what you're after, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better mascara, especially at this price point. My natural lashes are long but straight, and while I used to want lots of clumpy volume (hey, it's a look), I'm after the fluttery, doe-eyed look now. I love that this mascara kills two birds with one stone. You use the front to 'load' your lashes with product and then the sides, which have longer bristles, to comb out and separate your lashes. (This is important. Follow the directions, people!) I've always kept a lash comb in my makeup bag for this exact reason, so I love that I don't need that extra step with this mascara. I think there are lots of mascaras doing the 'long and lifted' thing really well, and while this isn't my favorite mascara of all time, and although it didn't perform complete witchcraft on my lashes, they did look a lot longer than they do sans mascara and kept their fluttery lift all day. (So many curling and lifting formulas inevitably begin to sag, which is always sad!) Also, as a disclaimer, I did curl my lashes beforehand, which I highly recommend for true 'to infinity and beyond' results."

It made my lashes look insanely long and more fluttery in just two coats. In fact, my lashes were so long they were hitting the lenses of my glasses. (That's a great problem to have.) If you wear multiple coats of mascara like I do, I recommend working quickly without letting the mascara dry in between coats. Otherwise, it can make the lashes look a little spidery. That's great if that's your vibe, but I like something a little more natural-looking for everyday wear."

"I consider myself a mascara connoisseur, and in my opinion, drugstore mascaras are just as good (if not better) than some of the more prestige options. I always curl my lashes before applying mascara, so I did that and then followed the directions for the best way to use the wand. I used the flat side to distribute the product onto my lashes and the bristle side to comb them out, but I felt it was giving me spider lashes, so for the other eye, I opted to just use the bristle side of the brush. It still gave me full, fluttery lashes but without the extra clumps. I even wore it to an intense cardio sculpt class, and by the end of it, I only had some minimal streaks of mascara on my lids and minor decrease in curl. Aside from that, my lashes stayed put for the rest of the day! This mascara certainly delivers volume and length, and it's perfect to wear for a night out because of its intensity and staying power."

I did like how it applied, but I felt like it actually emphasized pores and skin texture instead of blurring it out like I typically like a foundation to do. You can build it up, but even when I did that, it still emphasized my skin texture and was a bit dry. Overall, I have mixed feelings about this one. Ever since TikTok took over the world—my world—I've been obsessed with one thing and one thing only: finding viral trends early enough that I can actually buy them. Skims's body-con maxi dress? "I have naturally rosy cheeks, so I'm always a little hesitant to try super-pigmented blush, but this stuff blends like a dream. I'm not saying it's not pigmented—I'm just saying that, with enough blending, it really does melt into your skin and leave a perfect natural flush behind. The foundation is so good (it literally sinks into your skin and blends like perfection, and the coverage is *chef's kiss*), and I was especially into the contour and highlighter. Initially, I thought I overdid it with the contour, but you can really keep blending and working it into your skin until it looks completely natural—like you've just been at the beach for a few hours. I have a love/hate relationship with TikTok. I love it for allowing me to discover new beauty products and rediscover old makeup favorites. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't hate it for making products go viral—because then they sell out (often across the entire internet for literally months). Such is the case with Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey (£21).

The funny thing is this cult classic from Clinique has been around since the early '70s. Before TikTok discovered it, one tube was sold every three minutes, and for good reason. The deep, dark plum colour almost looks black in the tube, but once you swipe it on your lips, it transforms into a sheer veil of the ultimate just-bitten berry shade. It's one of the few products that actually looks good on everyone. The formula uses a creamy, balmy base that combines the perfect amount of red, blue, and yellow pigment, so it really enhances everyone's natural lip colour. "I feel like I need to have multiple tubes of this on hand at all times because I'm not quite sure what I'd do without it. It's legit so good. I'm very into the creamy, balmy texture. "I won't beat around the bush—I love this lipstick-balm hybrid, and it's exactly the kind of formula I'm always wearing. (Tinted balms are all I crave now, especially in the summer months.) When it comes to lip products, I want something hydrating (check), sheer yet buildable (double check), and in a shade that will enhance my natural lip colour (triple check). Black Honey is so iconic for its magical flattering powers. It looks good on everyone I've seen wear it, and it's so non-fussy that you can keep it in your bag and apply it whenever and wherever. (This is great because the only area where I think it needs improvement is in its longevity.) It gives your lips a nice hint of shine, and I also appreciate that it's easy to layer with anything else you're wearing. I prepped my lips with Fresh's Sugar Advanced Therapy Treatment Lip Balm (£22) while I did the rest of my makeup, and then I layered on Dr. Devgan's Platinum Lip Plump SPF 30 (£45) and let it do its thing for about 30 minutes before blotting it off and swiping on Black Honey. It's the ultimate routine if you want a soft, plump, shiny pout."

I have an irrational fear of eyelash curlers. I just don't like any objects near my eyes, especially objects that look like they can can rip my eyelashes out. Maybe that's dramatic, but the thought of using one actually makes me feel sick. So I put a lot of pressure on mascara. I need a formula that doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes, adds major length, and curls and lifts my lashes. It's a lot to ask, I know, and a lot of formulas aren't up to the job, but Benefit Cosmetics's Roller Lash Curling and Lifting Mascara ($27) is.

She really does it all. Small eyes? She'll open them right up. Short lashes? She'll lengthen them. Straight lashes? Don't worry—she can curl 'em. What makes it all possible is the patent-pending Hook 'n' Roll brush. I've used many, many mascaras, and this one actually stands out. It has custom-designed hooks that are strategically placed in order to grab each lash from root to tip. You can feel the hooks working—it's almost like your lashes are being molded upward. "I'm a Maybelline Sky High Mascara ($12) stan, but this stuff is good. The mascara is actually inspired by hair rollers, so the formula is practically made with curling and lifting superpowers. Since I refuse to use an eyelash curler, I really, really appreciate this little tube of magic, the brush especially. (It even lifts and curls the short and straight lashes!) I audibly gasped after coating my lashes with this for the first time. Even my husband (my husband!) asked if I was using something new because my lashes looked 'amazing.' Plus, whenever I use this, my lashes don't get droopy and sad by 5 p.m. They always look as perky as they do right after I apply it. It's a curling and lifting formula that truly defies the odds."

"I'm a self-proclaimed mascara maniac. I'm supremely picky since my naturally long albeit stick-straight lashes are my favorite feature to play up. I tried Roller Lash a few years ago when I was craving lots of curl, length, and volume. At the time, I wanted a super-chunky lash look, so this mascara wasn't my favorite. (If you want to add coats and coats, this probably isn't your formula.) However, my aesthetic has changed over the last year, and while I still demand impeccable lift and curl, I want less chunky volume and more doe-eyed, fluttery separation—Bambi eyes, if you will. So I've found myself loving this mascara so much more than I did before. It separates and curls like a dream, and your lashes actually stay lifted the entire day or night instead of slowly drooping. (This is even true when I wear it in the 90-degree Santa Monica heat.) Plus, thanks to the patent-pending Hook 'n' Roll brush (rubber brushes, in general, are key for that combed-out separation), every lash is caught, lifted, and curled. I haven't stopped wearing this mascara since I rediscovered it, and I've never gotten as many compliments on my lashes as I get now."

So I tested out Roller Lash, and it did a great job of providing length, but I'm missing the volume that I always search for in a mascara. I have a love/hate relationship with TikTok. I love it for allowing me to discover new beauty products and rediscover old makeup favorites. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't hate it for making products go viral—because then they sell out (often across the entire internet for literally months). Such is the case with Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey ($22).

The funny thing is this cult classic from Clinique has been around since the early '70s. Before TikTok discovered it, one tube was sold every three minutes, and for good reason. The deep, dark plum color almost looks black in the tube, but once you swipe it on your lips, it transforms into a sheer veil of the ultimate just-bitten berry shade. It's one of the few products that actually looks good on everyone. The formula uses a creamy, balmy base that combines the perfect amount of red, blue, and yellow pigment, so it really enhances everyone's natural lip color. "I feel like I need to have multiple tubes of this on hand at all times because I'm not quite sure what I'd do without it. It's legit so good. I'm very into the creamy, balmy texture. It's not as rich as a lipstick but has more oomph than a sheer gloss. It feels just as moisturizing as a lip balm and adds the perfect wine-colored stain to my lips. I love how much it brightens up my entire face, especially when I'm wearing zero makeup. It's a real keeper."

"I won't beat around the bush—I love this lipstick-balm hybrid, and it's exactly the kind of formula I'm always wearing. (Tinted balms are all I crave now, especially in the summer months.) When it comes to lip products, I want something hydrating (check), sheer yet buildable (double check), and in a shade that will enhance my natural lip color (triple check). Black Honey is so iconic for its magical flattering powers. It looks good on everyone I've seen wear it, and it's so non-fussy that you can keep it in your bag and apply it whenever and wherever. (This is great because the only area where I think it needs improvement is in its longevity.) It gives your lips a nice hint of shine, and I also appreciate that it's easy to layer with anything else you're wearing. I prepped my lips with Fresh's Sugar Advanced Therapy Treatment Lip Balm ($26) while I did the rest of my makeup, and then I layered on Dr. Devgan's Platinum Lip Plump SPF 30 ($50) and let it do its thing for about 30 minutes before blotting it off and swiping on Black Honey. It's the ultimate routine if you want a soft, plump, shiny pout."

"I have been a Clinique stan for a very long time. It was my first 'grown-up' makeup and skincare brand! I've been using Clinique products since I was 13, but surprisingly, I haven't tried this lipstick yet. I did see all the rave reviews on TikTok, so I was excited to give it a try. I loved how weightless it feels and how easy it is to glide on and build color. It's a versatile lip product because you can just do one swipe for a very subtle hint of color, but you can also put on a couple more layers for a bolder look (which I did here). I'd definitely wear this every day. It's so easy!"

"This is a really nice lipstick! Honestly, I don't wear lipstick too often, but I love that this formula creates a really subtle, gorgeous, natural flush on the lips. If you've taken even one scroll through TikTok, you'll know all too well that Abercrombie is having a moment. First, its jeans went viral for their impeccable fit and vintage-inspired look. Yep, I'm your typical millennial who was absolutely obsessed with Abercombie in the early 2000s. We were a dime a dozen back then. (And no, I will not reveal my embarrassing AIM screenname homage to the brand.) Nowadays, A&F is back in the good graces of Gen Z thanks to TikTok, but they're far from the only ones appreciating the brand's revival. 

Fashion industry veteran Gym Tan (AKA @californiaistoocasual) recently posted a video of herself wearing Abercrombie's Strappy Plunge Corset Maxi Dress ($88), citing a TikToker in her 20s as inspiration. The video quickly went viral and has racked up over 1.4 million views and 1900 comments (and counting). 61-year-old Tan, who has experience in the industry on both the creative and commercial sides, just proved once and for all that age is nothing but a number.

I often wonder why I only get the urge to cover my eyelids in liquid eye shadow in the middle of summer when it's 90°. I'm not like this in the fall or winter—this impulse strictly comes out when it's hot, and I choose to go along with it. I guess liquid formulas feel more seasonally appropriate to me. They're easier to apply and require less skill and even less time than an average dry shadow. Maybe I like them because they also require fewer tools and less blending? I don't know. "When I think of my everyday makeup routine, eye shadow is not on the list. (But I do I really love how it looks on those rare occasions that it makes its way onto my eyelids.) I was excited to try this one because the colors are so pigmented, and I live for a built-in brush situation. Applying this was a little bit more difficult than I expected and required a bit of blending and tons of Q-tips. The liquid formula dries rather quickly, making the finished product chalky instead of matte or glossy. This is not a product that I would reach for regularly, but I do think it's fun and bold for those nights out when I want to experiment."

"Since the color is so intense, I was afraid it was going to make me look like a clown or like a 3-year-old did my makeup, but I was pleasantly surprised. A little bit does go a long way, and I found that it was easier to control the color intensity by dabbing it on my hand first and then applying it with an eye-shadow brush. It was easy to blend, and I decided to add a little shimmery liquid eye shadow to complete the look. It wasn't too intense and is a look that I'd definitely wear on a night out."

"My idea of a perfect liquid eye shadow is one that has an easy-to-control formula, meaning I can apply it however I damn well please and it'll come out looking like a makeup artist graced my face. These eye paints come in some really special colors, including Dionysus, a rich orchid-like purple with blue undertones that takes my eyes to a whole new level. I used a primer before applying the liquidy goodness across my lid (I love the flat doe-foot applicator), and then I smoothed it all out with a brush. (But I would use my fingers, too.) In my humble opinion, foundation is one of the most joy-inducing makeup products out there. I don't wear it often, so it feels like a real treat when I find a formula that checks all of the boxes. I love it when people throw me a compliment about my skin and I can respond with a foundation recommendation. It's a good party trick and one of the many reasons I'm always testing formulas. My dedication to the cause has led me to Chantecaille's Future Skin Gel Foundation ($89), and believe it or not, it surpassed my expectations.

I knew this stuff would be good. (After all, it's one of the most used products on season two of Euphoria!) I guess I just didn't realize how good it is. It's an oil-free gel formula that's lightweight—it's composed of 60% water—and made with reflective circular micro-pigments that provide medium-to-full coverage and a seriously flawless finish. It's also loaded with natural botanicals like chamomile and arnica, which work to calm irritation and soothe sensitive skin. Basically, it's heaven. I'm proud to admit that since this foundation came into my life, I haven't used anything else and don't plan on changing that anytime soon. "This foundation has quickly become a go-to for me. I love the formula—it almost feels more like skincare than foundation. It's lightweight but super buildable. I find that many, many foundations these days boast a 'skin finish,' but a true skin-finish foundation is hard to come by. Nearly every formula settles in pores or looks too much like foundation. This one really gives my skin a dewy, more even-textured finish. It also dries quickly and stays on all day long."

At this point, I sound like a broken record, but I rarely wear foundation. I've been a tinted-moisturizer stan since my high school days, but I know when I've come across something special, and this is one of those times. "I'm new to the foundation game (I typically go for a full-coverage concealer), but I was totally open to testing this after seeing it all over my FYP on TikTok. When I applied the first stroke, I was immediately scared of how much lighter it was than my skin tone, but once it was fully blended, it melted into my skin. It's super lightweight, and I've been wearing it for about eight hours and can confirm that it's sweat-proof, too. It's definitely worth the hype, and I 100% approve."

"Where do I even start? Chantecaille's Future Skin is one of my all-time favorite foundations. For me, it's the gel-like consistency—it just glides on like butter. Today, I decided to put it on Meredith Duxbury style (IYKYK). I smeared it all over my face with my hands and then blended it out with a brush. It blended beautifully both ways. Sure, this foundation is a little pricey, but I've genuinely never come across a formula like it before. I use a pretty good amount most days, and it never feels like I'm wearing any foundation at all. And most importantly, it never makes my skin break out. If you have acne-prone skin, do not hesitate to smash that buy button. Lastly, it still looks fresh (and never oily) at the end of the day. Sometimes, I don't even need to use a setting spray!"

I'm low-key a face mask hoarder. My arsenal is full of everything you can imagine, from serum-soaked sheet masks and overnight hydrators to detoxifying mud masks and peeling masks. I love affordable options, but some are admittedly trendier and more expensive than others. But no matter their price or purpose, they all have a special place in my beauty cabinet. When it's been an impossibly long day, when I'm feeling low, or when my skin is in dire need of a quick pick-me-up, nothing comes through like a good ol' face mask. I don't discriminate, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a soft spot for clay masks. They just understand me and my need for instant gratification. Aside from blowing up my TikTok, it has actually earned praise from all corners of the beauty world for its radiance-enhancing and oil-controlling properties and its impressive list of ingredients. The clay-based formula helps cleanse visible impurities and excess sebum while tightening the look of pores. It's also infused with caffeine, which does exactly what you'd expect: It helps wake up your skin. Grape-seed polyphenols are moisturizing, provide antioxidant benefits, and help limit sebum oxidation, which is responsible for blemishes. And since I'm a bona fide mask collector, this formula was impossible for me to ignore. So I asked my co-workers to do a test run with me, and the reviews are in. "As much as I love a good self-care practice, I'm not someone who masks often. I typically only grab one off my shelf if I feel like my skin needs extra love, but I had to test this one out after seeing it on TikTok and getting a recommendation from my co-worker. This one was easy to apply and had a nearly instant firming effect. But unlike other masks, I didn't feel like I couldn't move my face after the first five minutes. I love how I can actually see and feel the mask working. As it dries, the mask fades from pink to white and zeroes in on those filled pores. After rinsing, my skin felt super radiant and my face felt a lot tighter than it did before application. Overall, the mask was quick, easy, and effective, and I can see myself using this on a weekly basis."

"I did really like this mask, but I actually feel like it made a couple of zits on the left side of my face worse the next day! (It happens.) I guess that means it really does clean out your pores and bring impurities to the surface. I loved the way my skin felt after using this, too. "Let me start by saying I have a huge weakness for any product that feels like it's working, and the tightening effect this mask from Caudalie yields definitely satisfies that craving. Normally, my skin veers oily and acne-prone, but for whatever reason, it's been on the drier side lately, and I haven't been experiencing as many breakouts. That said, I did go to sleep with a face full of makeup last weekend, and I had a little bit of dermatitis around my nose, so I was curious if the pore-vacuuming powers of this detox mask would help the bumpiness around my cheeks and chin and the patch of redness underneath my nostril. I really like that this mask only takes about five to 10 minutes to work its magic, and I'm obsessed with the scent. I applied it in the middle of a stressful workday and immediately felt more relaxed, as if I were in an expensive spa and not my tiny bathroom. After I removed the mask, my skin felt a lot cleaner (almost like it could breathe more easily), significantly smoother, and as soft and silky as a baby's bum. The area around my nose was a little less inflamed and angry, and I also think my skin looked a tad brighter. To be honest, I was hoping for a more drastic before-and-after, but I still think it did a good job of subtly decongesting my complexion and also softening some rough texture. Plus, I'd use it purely based on how lovely it is. It's not my all-time favorite, and there are other oil-control masks I like more, but I'm still a fan."

I'm not trying to flex here, but I've always had naturally rosy cheeks. It's probably why I haven't always enjoyed blush. Who needs to double up on color? I'd regularly think to myself. It turns out if Rare Beauty's Soft Pinch Liquid Blush ($20) is involved, I do. This is one of those viral beauty products that actually lives up to the hype. It's hard to put into words just how special it is, but I'm going to do my best.

The liquid formula is good—and not just good. It's like really, really good. There are 11 very pretty and very pigmented shades that, with proper blending, magically melt into and become one with your skin. It never feels heavy or as if it's sitting on top of your makeup (which is arguably one of the worst feelings in the world—don't @ me). It feels like it's part of your skin and never wants to leave. I legit had to do a double-take at the end of the day when I was getting ready to wash my face. It still looked that pristine. "This blush was a part of Rare Beauty's original launch collection, and I knew it was going to be a star the second I tried it. (Its eventual virality on TikTok later proved my point.) I almost always prefer powder blush formulas because I feel like I have more control as far as placement and pigment, but this is the rare exception. (Sorry, I could not resist!) The colors are all beautiful, but I'm especially partial to Joy because it's Selena Gomez's favorite, and I think it gives my skin the most natural-looking flush—like I've been out in the sun and got that perfect dose of sun-kissed color. I also like that the blush comes in two different finishes: matte and radiant (the latter being my preferred). A little goes a super-long way, so each tube lasts forever, and even if you think you've gone completely overboard and applied too much product, you can truly blend your way to whatever saturation of color you want. Typically, just one or two dots on the tops of my cheekbones does the trick, and I've gone from Babushka to completely natural-looking in just minutes thanks to my handy Beautyblender. Another perk is that this blush really becomes one with your skin rather than just sitting on top of it. My mom is 74 years old, and she is literally obsessed with this blush. She swears it's one of the only formulas that really melts into the skin and looks natural with her more mature (aka wrinkly—sorry, Mom!) skin texture. This blush has always been a 10/10 for me, and nothing has changed. I also always love a doe-foot. I mean, who doesn't love a doe-foot?!"

"This is arguably the most talked-about blush on the market, and it 100% lives up to the hype. However, I confidently applied it directly to my cheeks the first time, and I don't recommend doing that. It's very, very pigmented. I looked like I should be in The Nutcracker! But when I applied a small amount to the back of my hand and used a brush to apply it and blend it out, magic happened. The color is perfect. The formula is creamy, buildable, and adds the prettiest healthy flush to cheeks. I was also super impressed by how long it lasted—literally until I washed my face. No re-applications needed."

"I love this blush! It's just as good as everyone says it is. I used it in the shade Terracotta, and wow. I thought I might have gone overboard when I initially applied it, but it blended out so beautifully that it created the perfect rosy hue on my cheeks. A little goes a long way, so if you're looking for just a pinch of color, you literally only need to use the tiniest dot on each cheek. The formula is so creamy and was easy to blend using just my fingers. (Normally, I use a brush for blush.) I'll definitely be purchasing other colors!"
