For as long as I can remember, I've gravitated toward skirts and dresses. So much so that when I first appeared on The Who What Wear Podcast in September 2025, I shared something that shocked my colleagues: I didn't own a single pair of jeans. While most of our editors have extensive denim collections they've spent years curating, they couldn’t quite understand how that was possible. Nine months later, June 2026, I have news: I finally bought my first pair of adult jeans.

I specify "adult jeans" because it's not as though I never wore jeans as a child. One of my most formative shopping memories is actually going to Abercrombie in elementary school to stock up on new pairs for the school year. But sometime after that, I got hips, and finding jeans that fit perfectly became more complicated—and they just didn’t feel like me anymore.

As someone who prefers shopping online, ordering jeans has always been hit or miss for me, and trying them on in person is a whole ordeal. Every brand fits different, sizing varies from style to style, and sometimes there's even the dreaded waist gap. Each time I'd go into a fitting room with a pile of jeans, I'd get overstimulated and leave empty-handed. After multiple shopping trips filled with sold-out sizes, unavailable washes, overcrowded SoHo stores, and the hassle of pulling jeans on and off over and over, I gave up.

Overall, skirts and dresses just feel easier. I know my size, and it’s fairly consistent across brands, and I love that they’re less restrictive and allow for more movement. Styling them also comes more naturally to me, and I always feel the most put-together in them, which takes the guesswork out of getting dressed.

That all said, even though I think it's perfectly fine to stick with what you love, as an editor, it still felt like a shopping challenge I wanted to solve. I became determined to figure it out and write about it. So I decided to revisit the tried-and-true favorite of editors, countless celebrities—from Hailey Bieber to Kendall Jenner—and fashion people everywhere: Levi's.

Levi's 501 '90s

Torn between the 501, 501 Curve, and 501 '90s, I ended up choosing the latter. What won me over was the description on the website: “Imagine if you took everything you love about the legendary 501 Original and gave it a nineties refresh. Boom: you have the 501 '90s. Think of these as a slightly wider version of our original fit. The easy silhouette sits a little looser, the rise a little lower. Then there's the leg. We went full-on '90s and gave them a relaxed, laid-back fit from hip to hem, inspired by those slouchy (and flawless) 501 jeans our favorite celebrities wore in that era.”

During my research, I came across a tip from a TikTok video by Reilly Krug. “My life hack for Levi's in particular is sizing up three sizes from your usual,” she shares. “I find that by sizing up, you also get that lower, vintage-esque feel, and they just feel more lived-in, in my opinion.” Since I was committed to online shopping, I ended up ordering the style in two sizes to make sure I got the fit right.

For shades, I'd recommend Shout Out Stone or In Love With You, Deep Rinse for a dark wash, and Fun Flare or Ever Afternoon for lighter washes.

Maybe someday I'll have the patience to become a vintage-jeans connoisseur myself, but for now, as an impatient denim novice, the Levi's 501 '90s have been the simplest solution. The Formula and Shades

Following in the footsteps of the highly coveted Pocket Blush (£25), Pocket Bronze has the same buttery formula in cream bronzer form. There are eight shades to choose from, spanning across a range of skin tones from fair to deep, and the shade range feels really considered, catering to a range of different undertones, too.

The formula contains Rhode's signature peptides, as well as tamanu oil, which gives the formula a creamy slip that ensures it effortlessly melts into the skin with a satiny finish. They're easy enough to dot onto your skin and blend with your fingers, or blend out with a brush. Either way, these creamy bronzers meld with your complexion seamlessly, leaving you with a naturally sun-kissed glow. And as its name suggests, these nimble bronzers are small enough to slip into your makeup bag, making them great for top-ups as well.

My Thoughts

My first impression of the Pocket Bronze is just how easy they are to use. I live in fear of bronzers that are too heavy or patchy, but this lightweight formula has a silky, buttery consistency that just blends so effortlessly into the skin, whether worn on bare skin or buffed over a skin tint. They also pair beautifully with the new Highlight Milk (£28), a milky lumizing highlighter fluid, which I like to mix into my base before applying my bronzer on the days when I want more glow.

I'd describe the finish of these bronzers as sheer and satiny; it's not so dewy that it disappears halfway through the day, but remains easy to blend and gives a hint of glow to your complexion without glitter or sparkle (all the shades are matte, FYI). I've tried hundreds of bronzers, but I'm already willing to say this after testing it for just over a week—this is easily one of the very best I've tried, and I'm very picky about bronzers.

I tried three of the shades, including Sip (for light to light-medium skin tones), Sunbed (light to light-medium complexions) and Bake (for light-medium to medium tones). I have light skin; however, my complexion has been particularly sun-starved over summer, so most days I reached for either Sip or Sunbed, which gave me the healthy-looking glow I've been craving.

I used a fluffy makeup brush to buff the bronzer onto my cheeks, forehead, nose and a little on my eyelids too, and it instantly added warmth to my skin with minimal blending required. They also wear really well throughout the day, and although I've been carrying one in my bag, I haven't felt the need to top up as they're really long-lasting.

The brand promises the Pocket Bronze will have the same creamy, buildable, and blendable texture as the Pocket Blush, delivering seamless color that can be applied on the go for "sun-kissed warmth and soft dimension." It's formulated with tamanu oil and peptides (Rhode's signature ingredient), and it checks off basically every box. It's fragrance-, cruelty-, and gluten-free as well as vegan, dermatologist tested, and noncomedogenic.

When a trend starts popping up, it’s an editor’s job to pick up on it, and that’s exactly what’s happening with croc-embossed bags right now. I first spotted one this season at a Clare V. press preview. As soon as I saw it, it felt like the perfect bag for fall, and I immediately wanted one.

Although I wish it were the case, Hailey Bieber and I don't have a ton in common. Relota Luczo then went on to say that this is key. First, whatever is happening on the surface of the skin—whether that's dullness, redness, or premature aging—it's all a reflection of what's going on internally. "The polyphenols in a genuinely potent EVOO fight free radical damage and defend against collagen breakdown," she continues. "The fatty acids, both polyunsaturated and monounsaturated, work at a cellular level to reinforce your skin's moisture barrier and ease oxidative stress."

As a bonus, Luczo mentioned that when take olive oil on an empty stomach, it may also support nutrient absorption through the gut (which has its own downstream effect on skin). "I think of it as skincare you eat," she adds. "The results aren't instant, but they're real, and they're cumulative. It’s about feeding the skin the same way we feed the body—with ingredients that support vitality, resilience, and long-term skin health at a cellular level."

Simon Poole, MD, a Mediterranean nutrition expert and author of Olive Oil for Dummies, adds that olive oil is a high-quality healthy fat and consuming it regularly has also been linked to reduced risk of various diseases like heart disease, stroke, diabetes, certain cancers, and even dementia.

How to Shop for a Quality Olive Oil

If you're considering incorporating this wellness practice into your daily routine, you should know that any old olive oil won't do. Receiving the full health benefits of this ritual requires a high-quality olive oil. Both Relota Luczo and Poole have key advice about what you should consider. "This is where most people get lost because the marketing is so misleading," Relota Luczo explains. She's sharing her ultimate cheat sheet for the selection process below.

1. Shop by harvest date.

"[Don't go by] a 'best by' date. Polyphenol content degrades over time. You want an oil harvested within the last 12 months, ideally consumed within 18 months of harvest. A best by date tells you almost nothing."

2. Look for a single origin, single estate.

"Blended oils, especially those blended across countries, are almost impossible to trace and often contain older or lower-quality stock. Knowing exactly where the olives came from and who grew them matters."

3. Choose a dark glass or tin.

"Light oxidizes oil rapidly, and serious producers know this."

Poole's advice is to find brands featuring growers who really care about quality. "Look for an extra-virgin olive oil that tells a story of its region of production, heritage, care, and passion of the farmers," he says. "If an EVOO is also produced with organic or regenerative farming techniques, then you will know that the producer is nurturing the environment, which further encourages excellence in EVOO. Most importantly, try the oil and enjoy its fruitiness, pleasant bitterness, and pungency, knowing that it will be rich in polyphenol antioxidants."

Every now and again, certain blushers seem to define a season. And when it comes to Rhode's iconic Pocket Blushes, Toasted Teddy is the shade I'm always asked about, and this sun-kissed shade has reigned supreme for a while now. However, being the beauty data nerd that I am, I decided to look into the Google searches for the most popular Rhode Pocket Blush shades right now. And it seems there's a new shade that is set to define summer 2026 and be on everyone's cheeks next.

Tan Line is a wearable pinky-brown that leans a little warm on the skin. A lot of blush shades scare me, but on my light skin, it's become a new favourite going into summer when I want something pink-leaning, not entering bubblegum territory. It's a stunning shade that I've been wearing day and night, thanks to the adaptable formula that allows you to wear it as a gentle glow or layer for a more intense flush of colour. I have Sleepy Girl, which is similar but leans more mauve-y and cool-toned (which I've been wearing on repeat), but Tan Line feels like it's more summery sister.

The Application

If you're not already familiar with the Pocket Blushes, then you might be wondering what the formula is like. I'll be honest, this is one of my absolute favourites. I've tested upwards of hundreds of blushers as a beauty editor, and this creamy formula is foolproof. I'm forever scared of applying too much blush, but this never happens with this formula. It's buttery soft, easy to blend and melts straight into the skin with a satiny finish. It's a glowy blush, but without any sparkle or shimmer.

A little gives a natural-looking glow, but it's easily built up if you're going for full glam. It's easy enough to dot onto your cheeks and blend with your fingers, as it is to apply with a makeup brush. With the sun-kissed tones of this blush, I like to sweep it across my cheeks, tap a little onto my nose and even apply a little to my hairline and chin to look like I've spent the day in the sun.

My Verdict

I'm so glad I discovered this Rhode Pocket Blush shade. I never really got on with Toasted Teddy—which looks stunning on deeper skin tones than mine—but this feels just as sun-kissed on my light skin tone. My skin is starved of sunshine right now (it's crying out for a summer holiday), but Tan Line brings a healthy glow and warmth to my skin that looks like I've just come back from a week abroad, and I just know I'm going to wear it all summer.

Last weekend, Miami was taken over by the pinnacle of motorsport, with Formula 1 returning after a monthlong break in racing. People have been starved for on-track action and the world that surrounds it, and as a result, everyone and their mother jetted to the 305 for the 2026 Miami Grand Prix weekend, hosting activations, dinners, and plenty of celebrity guests. It was, by far, the coolest crowd we've seen in Miami since its inaugural race back in 2022, with some attendees flying directly from the city to New York for the Met Gala, which took place one day after the checkered flag waved, announcing Kimi Antonelli as the weekend's winner. Hailey Bieber and Chase Infiniti, I'm talking about you.

Highlights from the race weekend started early, with Apple TV and Beats hosting an intimate dinner with LPGA golfer Lily Muni He at The Bath Club in Miami. Fellow F1 WAGs Carmen Mundt, Rebecca Donaldson (a Who What Wear UK editor in residence), and Kelly Piquet also attended the 13-course omakase experience from chef Wei Chen of Omawei. The following evening, Alexandra Leclerc hosted an equally star-studded dinner to celebrate her recently released collaboration with Frame. The team chose Casa Tua Miami Beach for the occasion, where Bieber, as well as Kim Petras, Delilah Belle Hamlin, Dylan Minnette, Charlotte Lawrence, Devon Windsor, and Stas Karanikolaou enjoyed caviar and chocolates shaped like the Leclerc family's beloved dachshund, Leo.

As I previously mentioned, some of the biggest names in Hollywood, sports, and music made their way to Miami this past weekend for the return of F1 after a long break, many hosted by the sport's well-known team partners, from Audi F1 to Tommy Hilfiger, the official clothing partner of Cadillac F1 Team. Audi brought in Lupita Nyong'o, a regular face in the F1 paddock, as well as One Battle After Another star Chase Infiniti and Reminders of Him actor Tyriq Withers, all of whom spent the weekend getting an up-close look at what the team put together for its first Miami Grand Prix. I personally enjoyed the Audi Turn 1 Club, which offered viewers an impeccable view of the main straight and action-filled first corner of the track. Alexandra Leclerc later wore a womenswear look from the same season on Sunday, but it was her red-leather pants look earlier in the weekend that garnered the most buzz, with the bottoms coming from her collaboration with FRAME. Other WAGs like Rebecca Donaldson and Lily Muni He likewise showed out with their paddock looks, with the former carrying The Row's Peggy bag and a miniskirt ensemble by The Frankie Shop, and the latter opting for an all-white outfit that she accessorized with red sandals and Loewe's sold-out Squeeze Fruit beaded shoulder bag. Finally, attendee Tyriq Withers arrived at the Audi F1 garage donning a casual tan-suede Louis Vuitton jacket paired with paint-splattered jorts and ostrich-leather cowboy boots.

There's always something to do in Miami during the first weekend in May, with countless pop-ups, brunches, dinners, and parties happening all at the same time. There's certainly no shortage of eateries in Miami, especially now that so many buzzy New York City restaurants have opened in the area, from Carbone to Pastis. During race weekend, it's almost impossible to get a reservation at any of them, particularly when brands are hosting private dinners inside, yet the chicest attendees at this weekend's grand prix made it to all of them, sipping martinis and eating spicy rigatoni with little to no effort to get inside. Casa Tua, founded in Miami Beach in 2001, was a hot spot, especially as the restaurant that hosted Alexandra Leclerc's Frame dinner. American Express popped up like it always does with Carbone Beach, a waterside event where guests like Cindy Crawford, Snoop Dogg, and Alix Earle could eat their favorites from Carbone in a more casual setting. In South Beach, everyone goes to Joe's Stone Crab at least once. Insider tip: Order the fried chicken. It's one of the best things on the menu. And if you're headed away from the beach, stop into Mandolin Aegean Bistro for some of the best Greek food and vibes in the area.

Ever since LVMH signed a 10-year deal with Formula 1 last year, drivers have had even more reason to fight for the top spot on the podium. Both are located on Miami Beach, with multiple pools, luxury accommodations, stylish aesthetics, and hot-spot eateries. For a slightly more laid-back environment, travelers checked in at Soho Beach House and Esme Miami Beach, equally chic options that are perfect for quick pop-ins to the city, even when the F1 circus isn't in town.

The Met Gala is in full swing, the editor commentary is still flooding in, and, ladies and gents, Ms. Hailey Bieber has made her 2026 red carpet appearance. Tonight, the star donned a sculptural Saint Laurent look (a perfect nod to this year's dress code) with an equally sculpted bun that's arguably the easiest Met Gala hair look to re-create—and I fully expect at least a dozen iterations by morning. Bieber, after all, holds a special power over our beauty choices. Remember when she debuted an internet-breaking blunt bob and immediately inspired thousands of salon appointments? Yeah, same here.

Irinel de León—the celebrity hairstylist responsible for Bieber's Met Gala 'do—predicts her perfectly tucked bun will similarly make a splash. "There’s definitely a shift toward sculptural, controlled hair right now, but I wanted to interpret that in a way that still feels modern and wearable," she exclusively tells Who What Wear. "We wanted the bun to feel like a sculpture, very intentional and refined. It’s minimal, but every detail is considered so it almost reads like part of the garment," de León shares. "I think we’ll see more hair that feels designed—clean shapes, high polish, but still soft," de León says regarding this year's hair trends. "People are moving away from overly effortless and into something more considered." It certainly helps that Bieber herself is metaphorically leading the charge.

To achieve her sculpted "goddess" bun, de León first applied a cocktail of Ouai's Leave-In Conditioner and Anti-Frizz Crème to Bieber's lengths, then rough-dried using the Dyson Airwrap Coanda2x Multi-Styler and Dryer. Once she removed the excess moisture, de León popped on the dryer's Large Round Volumizing Brush attachment to smooth out the strands in sections, then sealed in the shine with Ouai's Hair Oil. To secure the knot, de León brushed back Bieber's hair into a sleek ponytail, then attached clip-in extensions (Perlino by Priscilla Valles) before building the bun in sections. "The ends are fully tucked and hidden, which creates that seamless shape," de Leon shares. "Think of it as shaping, not just styling."

Finally, she topped off the look with a touch of Ouai's Hair Oil for shine. "The finish is not wet or stiff. It’s that perfect balance of shine and softness, which we achieved by layering lightweight products instead of anything heavy," she adds. And there you have it! Before the weekend even really began, Lewis Hamilton broke out one of his best paddock 'fits in a while (in my humble opinion, it's his best since joining Scuderia Ferrari), arriving at the track for media day in off-the-runway Saint Laurent menswear from the brand's S/S 26 collection, including a neon-orange pullover windbreaker layered on top of a matching silk shirt and burgundy tie. He paired the bold combination with pleated brown trousers and black derbies. It was sharp and polished but playful, which Hamilton fans will tell you is rarer of late than it once was. We didn't know what we had when he would wear upward of four runway and custom ensembles every race weekend. Now that he's more selective, when we do see Hamilton get dressed up in the paddock, it's extra special, especially when an outfit like this one makes its debut.

It was there that the first Saint Laurent sighting appeared on Bieber, which should come as no surprise given her longtime role as an ambassador for the Parisian house. Sitting next to Leclerc, the Rhode founder wore a rare piece from the brand's archives: a Yves Saint Laurent by Tom Ford scarf top from the F/W 04 collection. A strong start it was, but wait, the YSL sightings just kept getting better from there.

Satin might not be the most practical for wet weather, but her choice of outerwear was perfect.

Yes, Antonelli won the actual race this weekend, but from a fashion perspective, no brand had a bigger impact than Saint Laurent. In F1 terms, that's 25 world championship points and a hell of a lot of social media impressions.

There's something so cool about ignoring the "rules" of a typical seasonal color story and opting for a deep plum, espresso, or black polish as the temperature heats up. It exudes sophisticated, NYC energy, and I'm officially convinced to contrast my spring outfits with a modern, inky lacquer. How to Use It

After prepping your nails (trimming, shaping, and completing cuticle care), the brand recommends lightly buffing the nails and cleaning them with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Then, apply a thin coat of OPI's GELement Base Coat ($16) to four fingers. Cure for 60 seconds under a UV lamp. Repeat the process on the thumb.

Then, repeat the process with a thin coat of gel nail color. Finally, reach for the GELement No-Wipe Top Coat ($16). Apply a thin coat to four fingers, and soft-cure them for 30 seconds (this will leave the top coat slightly tacky for optimum chrome adhesion). Lightly dip the applicator into the glazing powder and rub it over the nail in circular motions. Dust off the excess and apply a final layer of top coat, curing it for 60 seconds. Finish with nail and cuticle oil.

It might sound like a long process, and it might take some practice. Once you get it down, though, you'll have achieved an A-list glazed manicure at home.
