It's like diving into the cool, sparkling waters of an Italian lake, or sitting nearby a trickling fountain in the dappled shade of pear trees whilst enjoying an aperitivo. It's a fresh floral perfume, and the type of aquatic scent that I want to liberally splash all over my skin in the summer—it's so easy to wear. It draws its inspiration from the Grotta degli Animali, a 16th-century water fountain set in Villa Medicea di Castello.

If you want to try a fragrance that is quintessentially Florentine, then this is the one to try. Iris is not only Florence's official symbol, but the 16th-century French queen Catherine de' Medici (who commissioned the brand to create a fragrance—Acqua della Regina) introduced the Tuscan tradition of iris-scented leather gloves to France. It's also one of the most expensive ingredients in perfumery, so naturally carries an air of luxury. This floral, powdery, soapy scent leaves you feeling elegant and clean-smelling. Santa Maria Novella's newest scent is exclusive to Harrods, so no trip to Italy is required for this one. It does, however, transport you straight to an Italian botanical garden. Specifically, into nectar-filled flowers. It's aromatic, a little smoky and bitter at first, but as it wears on the skin, the honeyed accent blooms further into a golden, nectar-like haze that lingers on the skin and becomes sweeter with every passing hour. Combined with the scent of lavender, it feels almost nostalgic and dream-like. It makes me feel like I've stepped into a secret flower garden that's abuzz with bumblebees.

I'm not usually one for a smoky perfume, but this one changed everything for me, and it's now one of my favourites of the bunch. Rather than being overpowering like some tobacco scents can be, this sensual, smoky scent lingers close to the skin, becoming at one with the natural warmth it. Think unfurling plumes of smoke, charred, glowing embers of vanilla and old leather-bound books illuminated by a crackling fireplace.

Rose is one of the most iconic summer florals, and in May I had the joy of visiting Matiere Premiere's rose harvest in Grasse, where the French fragrance house grows its own roses to produce the rose centifolia absolute in this very perfume. Depending on where the rose is grown, it can smell totally different across different countries, but the weather in the South of France makes this particular rose both floral and peppery and spicy. And combined with peppercorn, earthy patchouli and resinous labdanum, it paints a portrait of a femme fatale rose that's both seductive and dark. It's stunning.

Inspired by blooming roses in Italian summer gardens, Slow Rise opens with velvety rose petals that slowly unfurl on the skin with an addictive spiciness that gives it a moody twist. But it's the dry-down that's my favourite, where it blooms into an addictive, creamy, buttery iris base that has you smelling your wrists again and again.

This was one of the first floral perfumes that I really fell for (even as a former floral perfumes avoider—on paper, it's not something I would gravitate to), and it's the Parfums de Marly fragrance I now show people when they tell me they're not big on their floral fragrances. This fruity floral combines jammy rose with juicy lychee and smooth vanilla, and the scent is goddess-like. Someone once described it as "feeling like a princess" when they wear it, and I couldn't agree more. The projection and lasting power of this scent also make it a total compliment magnet whenever I wear it.

Known as "Queen of the night", tuberose is considered the most seductive of the florals. This white floral blooms at nightfall and has a creamy, voluptuous and intoxicating profile that is so sensual that throughout history, well-to-do women were cautioned not to walk past tuberose fields for fear it would awaken uncontrollable desires. So if you want to exude a seductive vibe, then you'll love tuberose scents. One of my favourites is Diptyque's Do Son, which captures the velvety-soft, creamy petals of tuberose flower and has a breezy marine quality that smells like a summer evening walk by the seaside with a salty breeze caressing your skin.

If you want to try a tuberose scent that's smouldering and perfect for the evening, then I highly recommend you try Tubérose Astrale, which has cemented itself as one of my all-time favourite perfumes.  It's inspired by the founder's memory of standing beneath the star-studded Milky Way in a field of creamy tuberose flowers. To me, it's the smell of a shooting star, with blazing cinnamon glowing amongst the heady and hypnotic scent of creamy tuberose.

Liberty London has also taken tuberose and given it an unexpected twist. This isn't the kind of tuberose perfume that conjures images of running through flower-filled fields in a flowing white dress. Instead, it feels like something a woman in a vintage velvet suit would wear while sitting in a dimly lit, smoke-filled bar. If you've always found tuberose fragrances a little too floral, this is one to seek out. Here, the creamy flower is contrasted by spicy vanilla and smoky tobacco, which gradually unfold on the skin, lending the scent a darker, more confident edge.

When you think of lavender, I'd forgive you for conjuring images of pillow mists or scented drawer pouches your grandmother might have used. However, lavender has long been one of the most iconic florals in perfumery, but it has also been trickling into more modern perfumes in a supporting role. Chanel's Jersey Extrait is a floral scent that features lavender, which gives this aromatic floral a powdery quality that feels like nuzzling your rose into freshly laundered jersey. It's soft, comforting, yet incredibly modern.

You'll often spot bees buzzing around lavender, and so it makes total sense that lavender and honey make a perfect pairing in perfumery. Honeymoon has a golden, honeyed floral scent that is smooth and seductive, and the addition of lavender makes it almost feel dream-like, comforting and nostalgic, like a late afternoon doze on a summer afternoon.

Burberry Goddess comes in a few different iterations, but the eau de parfum features lavender, and it's utterly heavenly. It's a vanilla-heavy scent that is golden, resinous and smooth in its sweetness, but the lavender gives it comforting cosiness that lasts and lasts on the skin. Trust me, this one gourmand perfume will get you endless compliments.

Merit may be best known for its minimalist makeup, but Retrospect proves the brand's understated aesthetic translates seamlessly into fragrance. Balancing soft fruit, delicate florals, and a cocooning musky base, it feels polished without ever trying too hard, making it the kind of perfume you'll happily wear every single day. I find that it sits close to the skin while still leaving an impression, striking the perfect balance between noticeable and discreet. If you're searching for one fragrance that captures the appeal of understated perfumery, this would be my top recommendation.

Citrus scents tend to be bright, sunny, and playful, rather than sultry or sensual. Vilhelm Parfumerie's Mango Skin somehow encapsulates both hard-to-balance qualities. Last but not least, a tempting hint of pink sugar rounds out the scent. It's sweet and sophisticated—the scent I'd wear if I were ever lucky enough to sip sunset cocktails on a superyacht.

I think the Dutch fragrance house Fugazzi creates some of the best scents on the market. In fact, its Angel Dust Eau de Parfum ($175) also won a Who What Wear 100 Beauty Award, this time under the Best "Second Skin" category.

Upon first spritz, you sense the mouthwatering mango note, but it quickly delves into a deeper, darker plane thanks to notes of spicy saffron, musky leather, and earthy moss. In my opinion, it's a true genderless fragrance. It's also incredibly unique—so much so that I might even call it controversial. But as a beauty editor, I know that makes for the best can't-stop-wearing, slow-burn scent.

Inspired by Trinidad's annual Carnivale celebration (known for its elaborate costumes and parades), this perfume mingles Bright Caribbean mango with whipped musk and warm, tantalizing vanilla. Cherry perfumes can sometimes lean on the syrupy side, but Cherry Stem feels like a more sophisticated interpretation of a category that can sometimes feel a little juvenile. On my skin, the juicy cherry opening has an almost tart quality that stops it from becoming overly sweet, before soft florals soften the edges. What really impresses me, though, is the dry down. As the brighter fruity notes settle, creamy woods and warm leathers take over, giving the fragrance a real staying power that lasts well into the evening and manages to feel playful while still grown-up. And even after a full day of wear, I can still catch little wafts of this on my clothing.

This is a beautifully elegant perfume that bottles the idea of a quintessential British summer—think frolicking in meadows full of wildflowers beneath bright blue skies—and delivers it in the form of a delicate, sun-drenched spritz. The perfect antidote to the sweltering, sticky scents of the city where I’m spending my summer. Brimming with light, airy florals and a slightly tropical twist of spicy ginger and sweet coconut, as the fragrance develops, you’ll notice that subtle woody and musky notes begin to emerge to really anchor the hits of fruity pear and heady orchid. It evolves gently throughout the day and becomes softer and more worn-in rather than losing its character entirely. It’s a beautiful option for those who prefer a perfume to feel intimate and worn close to the skin.

Like most people, there are certain fragrance notes that I gravitate towards and others that I avoid, and, in all honesty, oud is one of those notes. Yes, I understand that if you want a perfume that packs a punch and sticks around, then oud makes an obvious go-to, but typically, I find it headache-inducing to wear. However, a lovely PR pal convinced me to give this one from Bond No. 9 a try, and while it certainly isn’t a fragrance for shrinking violets, this is a really modern take on ouds that I’ve surprised myself by spritzing on liberally throughout the heatwave.

I think its wearability lies in the blend of fruity notes (pineapple and pink grapefruit to be precise) which adds an initial sweetness, while hints of rose (one of my favourite florals) and patchouli lend a smooth familiarity to the scent. As the day goes on, it is of course the oud and labdanum that lend that resinous longevity to the scent, but by then the perfume has almost meshed with your skin for a warm, solar feel. This is undoubtedly a statement scent, but it’s one that I can see carrying me through date nights, sticky summers and important meetings with ease.

When many people think of Jo Malone London, it’s their classic floral perfumes and breezier scents that tend to spring to mind. For me, however, it’s this intense cologne that tops my list of their best scents, and it happens to boast exceptional longevity too. This is an absolute comfort blanket scent to me, with opulent myrrh creating an immediate warmth and adding to that staying power, while sweet vanilla, tonka bean and aromatic lavender wrap everything in a luxurious softness. It’s like a soft, cashmere jumper in fragrance form and smells incredibly expensive.

There are a multitude of reasons as to why Delina has become something of a modern classic, but its wear time undoubtedly has a lot to do with it. After all, if you’re investing £270 in a perfume, then the staying power better be decent—and the longevity of this really is exceptional. I love myself a rose perfume, so I was pretty sure I’d adore this scent before I even smelt it, but it’s fast become one of my signature scents. (In fact, I sadly just used up the dregs of my bottle.) However, even if you’re not a rose fan, there is so much to get on board with her. You’re greeted by sparkling lychee and tart rhubarb at the first spritz, before that luxurious and feminine rose billows through. Over time, the scent changes, though, becoming creamier and warmer with plenty of skin-clinging musk and a sprinkling of nutmeg for a little depth. It’s one of the few florals that I can still smell on my clothes the next morning, too.

If you hate smelling like everyone else and are looking for more of an under-the-radar perfume to add to your collection then this is an absolutely beautiful new discovery of mine. The concept behind the fragrance is an imaginary flower with opalescent petals and the juice in the bottle is quite unlike anything else I’ve tried. It’s a lively blend of luminous fruits, radiant pink lotus and an almost clean, slightly mineral twang. Rather than relying on sweetness or any obvious florals, it has an almost innately glowing quality that feels bright, warm and slightly skin-like. What really surprised me though is that the fragrance remained present on my skin for hours and I found myself catching unexpected glimpses of it throughout the day which made it feel even more special. An utterly unique summer scent.

Possibly one of my most recommended perfumes of all time, Libre remains one of my most dependable perfumes because it performs so consistently, is so incredibly versatile, and lasts all day long. If you’re looking for a fragrance that will provide an instant confident boost then this is it. The list of notes is actually quite unusual for a power perfume, and I think it’s this blend of aromatics, florals and gourmands, which means it makes for a modern choice that never feels overwhelming. Opening with bright lavender and orange blossom, it’s instantly uplifting, while the richer base notes give the perfume its endurance. Even after a busy work day I can still always detect the lingering notes of jasmine and soft vanilla.

Proving that you don’t need to spend a fortune to find a long-lasting perfume, all of M&S’s new Studio fragrance collection offers great staying power with a high-street price tag, but it’s Darkest Vanilla which has really impressed me during this hot weather. While you might be expecting a basic gourmand, this is actually a deep, slightly smoky, warm vanilla that feels cosy and sophisticated. Of course, if you don’t like vanilla then this probably won’t appeal, but the initial creamy sweetness definitely dries down into something more resinous and deep so this is in no way a simple dessert fragrance. And at less than £23 a bottle it’s pleasingly purse-friendly too.

This is the only eau de toilette on the list as, typically, they simply don’t boast the same concentration of oil as eau de parfums and therefore fade away much faster. Inspired by poolside mocktails, Mugler’s new Starlicious collection actually comprises three gourmand mists that are designed to be worn on skin and hair, and can also be layered up or worn individually. This fruity floral one is my pick of the bunch as it’s fresh, tropical and juicy, and basically smells like a holiday in a bottle. The brand encourage you to play with the intensity level of the fragrance, spritzing just once for a sheer sillage or a handful of times over body, hair and clothing to really up the ante. And I have to say that by doing so, it really does deliver more staying power than many fruity spritzes do. It’s exactly the kind of scent I’d pack for a beach holiday.

Few perfumes have achieved icon status quite like Coco Mademoiselle, and after wearing it again, it's easy to understand why. Fresh citrus quickly gives way to elegant rose and jasmine before patchouli and vetiver create its unmistakable signature sillage and timeless appeal. It’s that patchouli-rich base that is largely responsible for the fragrance's legendary longevity, and it develops beautifully over the course of the day—becoming warmer, creamier and even more sophisticated without losing its floral freshness. I can apply it in the morning and still catch traces well into the evening, particularly on clothing and scarves.

Kardashian's first perfume, the one she says is her signature scent, is fittingly titled XO Khloé. Together, these notes are meant to exude confidence, power, and strength.

In an exclusive interview with Who What Wear, Kardashian previously said that creating a fragrance was something she always wanted to do. "It took about two years, and it just so happened that when I turned 40, it was also the launch of XO Khloé. It was kismet. It really was meant to be for me. I was so scared, and I was so intimidated, but I had to do it for me."

DedCool's Xtra Milk had a moment when it was all over my TikTok For You page. I'm obsessed with the on-sale room spray in the same scent (even my partner, who is extremely picky about fragrance, loves it), and I gave my aunt a bottle of the eau de parfum. She's since texted me multiple times, raving about how much she loves it.

Some people are loyal to Glossier You, and while that will always be a classic, Doux is my favorite of the range—with notes of sweet violet, palo santo, and ambrox. If you like warm, woody, sandalwood-forward scents, this is for you.

This isn't my usual type of perfume, but "Vacation" by Vacation is a fun summer scent. Labeled as a fresh solar, it has unique notes of bergamot, solar musk, banana, and pineapple mixed with pool water, swimsuit Lycra, and sea salt.

Introducing the chicest hand wash to ever grace your sink. Sisley Paris is synonymous with ultra-luxury, and this foaming gel totally fits the bill with volcanic lava particles for gentle exfoliation and a dreamy chypre scent, the coolest olfactory family, IMO. It helps that the forest-green bottle looks so elevated on my marble kitchen countertop.

I wouldn't dare forget about the matching lotion! Featuring an identical fragrance, this silky hand cream leaves my paws delicately scented and velvety soft post-wash.

Okay, this technically is a hair and body mist, but I can't help but notice how the lingering cloud makes my home smell like an oceanfront villa. I'm not a coconut-fragrance girl, TBH, but I pick up more salty-lime tanginess than creamy, tropical sweetness here. And because it's a body mist with a lower fragrance concentration, I can spritz with abandon without overpowering my senses, hence why it doubles as a room spray.

Name a more classic summer staple than vibrant, tart rhubarb. I'm waiting! While I typically associate the vegetable (yes, it's a vegetable) with sweet desserts, Diptyque decided to amp up its bright, herbaceous quality by pairing it with carrot seeds and patchouli. The result is fresh and green and transports you right to a sprawling summer garden.

I've already waxed poetic about Bulgari's Thé Impérial scent, which mentally whisks me away to the Italian Riviera with each whiff. But did you know that the elegant citrus-musk blend actually originated as an exclusive scent for Bulgari Hotels? When I stayed at the Rome property back in April, the entire red-marble bathroom smelled like this luxurious lemon-, mandarin-, bergamot-, and black tea–infused potion thanks to its lineup of shower gels, soaps, and lotions. Upon my return, I decided I must re-create the magic in my NYC apartment. Trust me. The shower gel is like a cheat code for Italian opulence.

I didn't think Oak Essentials items could get any chicer, but then the brand launched these elevated glass bottles designed by Jenni Kayne. There's just something about the clean, conscious brand that makes me want to touch grass (I feel more wholesome just looking at it), so I can't wait to put this handcare duo on display. Kindred Black's artisan-made home collection is nothing short of spectacular. Each vessel is a work of art, including this sculptural candle, which comes with a hand-poured, clean-burning soy wax blend and natural fiber wicks. As for the scent? It's delightfully intimate with rose, musky jasmine, vanilla, and creamy sandalwood.

Santal 33 lovers, lean in: Le Labo recently introduced a scented hand soap in the same exact fragrance so you can ensure an all-day aroma. For those who already love and wear the viral perfume, you can consider it a clever hack to touch up your daily scent. I wouldn't wait, though. These are selling fast at Nordstrom.

Byredo has a slew of intoxicating home scents (Bibliothèque will always have my heart), but I do love showing off unique, underrated picks. Enter its new City Stories collection, which interprets a specific place instead of focusing on the wearer. Of course, my eyes and nose went straight to New York, a smoky blend of black leather, sandalwood, birch, and patchouli.

Like rhubarb, there's something about tomato that just screams summer. This fresh, earthy blend is meant to evoke afternoon sun in a greenhouse, which is the wholesome "strolling through the market with a straw basket" energy I'm trying to channel this season. I can totally see myself burning this candle as I attempt to bake a peach galette. Anyone else?

I can't think of a more hotel-coded home scent than one from Hotel Lobby Home. It's in the name, after all! I'm currently fixated on the brand's recently launched hand cream, which locks in the elegant vetiver, amber, and white musk fragrance from the matching hand wash. Jo Malone London Beach Blossom Cologne not only screams "paradise" with its sunset orange hues, but the juice inside gives coconut on a salty sea breeze with a touch of tonka bean and lime. It’s fresh and light, but has a luxurious, coconutty sun-cream scent. I haven’t stopped wearing it since the start of spring.

The final touch to your holiday look is your skin. You’re wearing your cute minidresses and sparkly heels, but your legs and arms are lacklustre and dull? No, thank you. Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Bronze Body Oil is a new favourite of mine, with a rose gold undertone and a beautifully glowy finish that doesn't look or feel too oily. In truth, I’d gladly add the Bombshell Bronze body lotion alongside this, because the two layer up like a dream and only enhance the mango and peony scent. When you're nourishing your skin whilst out for dinner and cocktails, what’s not to love?

My local swimming pool is in a council-run leisure centre where I think they rely on the stench of chlorine to cover the fact that nothing’s had a proper clean for about a decade. So it’s safe to say that I wasn’t expecting this fragrance to smell quite so sophisticated. Of course, this scent is inspired by a natural swimming pool, and it definitely captures that cooling, aromatic quality of plunging into crystal-clear waters and emerging into dappling sunlight. The herbaceous elements here come from comforting basil and uplifting spearmint, which, when paired with eucalyptus, add a freshness that feels particularly wonderful to wear during the hot weather. (I was spritzing this on liberally during the UK’s recent heatwave.) If you want a perfume that will not only brighten your spirits but will have everyone asking you what you’re wearing, then I can’t rate this highly enough.

If you like warm, smoky and grounding scents, then this earthy complex will appeal. Imagine walking through an abundant cottage garden just after rainfall, where the damp soil is clinging to freshly-picked bunches of coriander and the leaves of a verdant fig tree are still damp, and you’re halfway there. It feels wonderfully meditative, but also uplifting thanks to a little zing from pink pepper and ginger. Plus, if you love skin scents, I think that there’s enough here to keep it feeling familiar with the warming sandalwood and musk once it settles into your skin. An understated perfume with an abundance of depth.

Carrot might not sound like an obvious choice for a perfume, but Jo Malone’s new veggie-inspired summer collection makes it centre stage in this cologne and, trust me, it’s a surprisingly beautiful green note. In this cologne, the sweet carrot mingles with musky orange blossom for a fresh, slightly earthy sweetness that feels delicate rather than a sugary gourmand. Combined with patchouli and fennel—which has an almost aniseed smell—it offers a really contemporary twist on a summer floral and feels both elegant and unique.

I’ve never had the pleasure of strolling barefoot through a herb-filled courtyard in a sun-drenched Moroccan garden. Still, this fragrance aims to bottle the idea and I’m instantly transported to the foothills of the Atlas Mountains on smelling it. This is one of the herbaceous in the lineup with fresh basil leaf, clary sage and lemongrass teamed with a generous sprinkle of spices and warm woods. It’s warming, enveloping and has plenty of depth, and basically transports you to more balmy and aromatic climes on first spritz.

Clary sage is one of the most underrated herbal notes in perfumery, and this fragrance showcases it beautifully. The clean, aromatic quality of the sage blends seamlessly with Molecule 01's famous skin scent to create something that feels uniquely personal but distinctly fresh. Every time I wear it, I feel refreshed, energised and somehow more confident without trying too hard.

One of the sweetest on the list, it avoids becoming saccharine with the greener notes like seaweed and basil, which lend the whole thing an almost aquatic quality. Refreshing, uplifting and endlessly easy to wear, it’s a real crowd pleaser.

If you like the idea of forest bathing or meditation in the great outdoors, but, like me, you live in a pollution-ridden city, then this Chloé Atelier des Fleurs perfume might give you a taste of what it could feel like. It’s a homage to the beautiful Porquerolles, a pine-lined island in the French Mediterranean, and it really celebrates the crisp freshness of pine needles here. It’s green, woody, and atmospheric, capturing nature in a refined rather than an earthy way. Wearing it allows me to feel clear-headed, serene and utterly sophisticated.

Coriander is often totally overlooked in fragrance, possibly because it’s a slightly divisive aromatic, but put your preconceptions aside because I think even coriander sceptics could be convinced by this. Despite it being its namesake, this perfume rather captures the aromatic nature of coriander and the complexity of the herb rather than attempting to leave you smelling like the pungent leaf itself. The use of pepper, mace, juniper and clary sage adds a sparkling energy and a hit of spicy warmth, while the musk and magnolia give it a slightly sweet and cosy drydown. It’s one of the most exciting scents on the list, and perfect if you’re looking for something unconventional to wear.

This delicate perfume marries the scents of a fresh forest with an English country garden, and the result is an elegant celebration of the finest herbal notes. A more unexpected take on a herbaceous perfume, this cult scent from Byredo is all about using fragrance as rituals of remembrance, and it does have an almost ethereal, otherworldly quality to it. But combined with musks and deeper woody notes, there’s nothing airy about this perfume—it feels grounded, substantial and comforting. Rather than simply smelling good, it creates an entire mood that feels incredibly powerful to wear.

If you’re a total newbie to herby perfumes, then this definitely leans on the more gourmand side of the category, despite being abundant in more classic herbs like thyme and oregano. It evolves throughout the day, starting bright with citrus before moving through the more complex herbal notes and then drying into a soft sweetness that is pleasingly wearable.

Prada's Banana Yellow Lip Balm is a mainstay in my summer beauty routine. The silky formula is rich in jojoba oil, which provides deep, soothing moisture. The yellow tinge adds a golden luster to my lips, and the juicy banana scent provides a sensorial experience. It's an obvious and elevated choice.

This is a classic solar scent, but instead of evoking the warmth of the sun, it evokes the luminosity of a sun-ripened banana. It's equally soft, juicy, and creamy—the trifecta when it comes to a chic summer scent. The top-billed note is banana flower, which is soft and velvety. Next, there's almond and meringue, which lend a delicious gourmand twist. Lastly, amber wraps the perfume in toasty warmth.

Per the name, this two-in-one sunscreen stick and makeup primer blurs enlarged pores, controls excess oil, and grips makeup to the skin, all while providing broad-spectrum SPF 50+. Described as a "luxury dessert come to life," Ellis Brooklyn's Banana Milkshake Hair and Body Mist strikes the precarious balance between playful and elevated. The warm and sweet scent starts with banana milk, which is blended with creamy tonka bean, musk melon, rum wood, and smooth vanilla orchid. It's a one-way ticket to smelling sun-kissed and sophisticated.

Milk Makeup's Balmade Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm offers a sheer wash of color and a splash of juicy hydration thanks to electrolytes (yep, the same ones you add to your water). The blend of zinc, copper, and magnesium maintains moisture in the lips. Meanwhile, coconut and aloe extracts smooth textured lips, and banana juice delivers even more hydration. There are seven shades to choose from, but I'm partial to this sunny yellow tube, which houses a clear multicolor shimmer with a citrus-lemon flavor.

I never thought I'd say this, but here it goes: This banana perfume is downright sexy. It opens with a ripe banana note before delving into sweet maple syrup, creamy coconut, and warm frangipani flower. The base is smooth and incredibly alluring. Think rich vanilla and velvety sandalwood.

The brand's founder, Romano Ricci, puts it best. "I wanted to revisit a fruit that has often been overlooked by perfumery: banana," he says. "Often seen as ordinary, it's rarely considered elegant. That's precisely what made it exciting. I wanted to push the banana beyond its fun image, to reveal something more sophisticated, elevated, and deep." And deep it is. This is basically begging to be worn on a hot summer night. It's bound to earn attention.

This creamy serum simultaneously hydrates and exfoliates the skin, sloughing off dead cells and pore-clogging impurities for a smoother, plumper complexion. It's all thanks to ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, AHAs, BHAs, kakadu plum, and banana enzymes that fade dark spots and increase skin elasticity.

This is my all-time favorite hair mask. Rich, creamy, and indulgent, it never fails to breathe life back into my dry hair, most notably after a bad dye job that totally wrecked my hair health. The formula reads like a recipe for an expensive cocktail: coconut cream, banana, and mango butter. The first smooths and hydrates the hair. The second improves strength and fullness. Equally floral, fruity, and solar in nature, Banane Délice Eau de Parfum smells like tan lines, tropical cocktails, and a sandy shore stretching out for miles from your beach chair. It's all thanks to notes of banana milk, coconut, and sugared musk. Together, they create a bright, luminous scent that wraps the skin in summery sophistication.

Soft Services has a cult internet following, and its signature Buffing Bar is a big reason why. The body-exfoliating bar is suspended with superfine crystals throughout that slough away dead and dry skin, targeting rough patches, bumps, keratosis pilaris, and ingrown hairs. It's also a handy tool for self-tan prep and removal.

Up until now, my favorite scent was the Affogato L'Orange, which evokes the rich espresso and creamy vanilla ice cream that are signature to the Italian dessert. Now, though, I want to wax poetic about the new Green Banana scent. It smells lush and sweet, like cracking open a not-quite-ripe banana straight from the tree.

It's both bright with a sparkly lemon opening and smooth, musky dry-down that melds with your skin, making it a great daytime fragrance to wear just about anywhere. It's the crisp white shirt of perfumes, it suits everyone and any occasion.

Mojave Ghost is my all-time favourite of Byredo's perfumes, so I'm happy to report that the body mist is just as heavenly. If you like woody and musky scents, then I implore you to try it. To me, it smells like expensive shampoo you'd catch a waft from in a luxury salon, but it's actually inspired by the Mojave Desert in sun-drenched California. It's an elegant perfume that leaves a hazy, luminous trail of creamy ambrette, smooth sandalwood and skin-like musk. Honestly? It has gotten me more compliments than I can count.

Imagine being in a cabin in the woods atop a mountain in the Alps, and throwing open your windows on the first day of spring as the scent of pine flows in atop a cool breeze. Gypsy Water is like the scent of fresh air bottled, and so it feels both grounding and luxurious to douse yourself in this woodsy, aromatic and fresh scent.

I'm not surprised that this one has sold out almost everywhere. If you want to smell as clean and fresh as soap bubbles and laundry powder (or like your dry cleaning bill is extortionately expensive), then Blanche is the one you'll want to mist all over your skin and clothes. This clean-smelling perfume smells just like freshly laundered clothes and crisp white bed linen. If you're looking for a bougie scent for your gym bag, this would be a great choice.

I'm not usually one for rose perfumes, but even I have to admit that this one is worth smelling. It's worlds away from the dated rose scents of generations ago. But, it has an airiness to it, like velvety red rose petals blowing in the breeze that make it feel somewhat nostalgic and comforting at the same time.

If you're in need of a date night perfume, then allow me to point you in the direction of Givenchy L'Interdit Absolu. Whilst tuberose isn't the star of this perfume, it leans heavily on the white florals and has an utterly intoxicating cocktail of mouthwatering neroli, hypnotic lavender and swirling, smoky tobacco that leaves an alluring trail wherever you go as it dries down into a sensual and earthy patchouli base. It smells absolutely divine. I love it as an evening scent, but also as a winter perfume when I want to smell cocooned in an alluring fragrance.

Diptyque's Eau de Sens is the centerpiece of the collection. It carries notes of branches, leaves, blossoms, and fruit, uniting "every aspect of bitter orange." Equally fresh, floral, and fruity, I can wear it year-round, yet I tend to fixate on it in the summer months. And this year, I'm fixating on this stunning, limited-edition bottle, which features original mosaic work by artist Mathilde Jonquière.

This Diptyque hand cream is the perfect little luxury for summer.

This travel-size set of three eaux de toilette is at the top of my list. It features some of Diptyque's most sophisticated summer scents.
