Sure, some attendees chose to stay fitted in their red carpet creations, but that wasn't the case for everyone, including Laura Harrier, who quickly changed out of her black sequin Gucci by Demna number when the gala ended, switching into something a little more… risqué.

Among the highlights was Louise Trotter's highly anticipated debut for Bottega Veneta, which certainly delivered and received no notes from us. As the show progressed, the atmosphere shifted to a more alluring tone, with pajamas made from black sheer fabrics, highlighting the brand's note on sophisticated sensuality that is meant to be seen. While eco-friendly fur was used in hats, skirts, and handbags, it was most notably showcased in outerwear, from rugged utility jackets and classic denim to luxurious leather coats and dramatic mob wife–inspired toppers.

Additionally, tees were styled over long-sleeve shirts, paying homage to the nostalgic layering techniques popular in the aughts.

The "cool girl" aesthetic would not exist without its predecessor, the "party girl," who embodies confidence and a flair for bold, eye-catching fashion. Dolce & Gabbana's F/W 25 show paid tribute to this with party dresses adorned with crystals, stones, and sequins, creating striking minidress silhouettes that shimmered with every movement. These glamorous, high-octane pieces perfectly complemented the street-side party that concluded the show, blending the world of high fashion with the energy of a spontaneous and vibrant celebration.

Nearly an entire year ago, The Row's F/W 23 collection debuted, and in it, one specific item knocked me out, attached itself to my brain, and hasn't let me forget it since. It was a gray, midi-length trench coat worn buttoned but not belted alongside a matching button-down shirt, flat black ankle boots, and a cognac-colored duffle bag. I'm reciting this from memory—that's how strongly I feel about the look and, specifically, the trench coat. 

When the style, called the Avio Trench Coat, finally dropped six months later, I immediately added it to all of my usual wish lists and trackers so that I'd be the first to know if it ever made it to sale season. The coat costs $3450 full price, so even with a discount, I might not be able to swing it. That's why I perked up when I spotted another gray trench in a slew of TikTok videos centered around new Abercrombie & Fitch items. I've never been very good at waiting, and my mind is so stuck on gray trench coats that I won't be able to do anything at 100% until I've quelled these urges. Yes, I ordered the Abercrombie alt, and yes, you should do the exact same thing. 

Though I haven't received mine yet, TikTok is littered with enough positive reviews to put to rest any worries that it won't hit the spot. "It's giving Inspector Gadget chic," said @alychapss. Perry: It’s definitely an all-day fragrance. The citrus notes are light and bright for day, but the vanilla notes make it sexy for night, too.

WWW: What made you want to collaborate with Dolce & Gabbana? And why is this partnership a good fit?

Perry: I remember wearing this leopard print Dolce & Gabbana dress on Warped Tour all the way back in 2008, and I’ve worn them everywhere from the Met Gala to Coachella, to America Idol to my music video for "When I’m Gone.” They feel like a part of my style DNA, and I’ve always loved working with Stefano and Domenico.

WWW: What was your experience working with the brand, and on this campaign?

Perry: I’ve had such a fun experience on this campaign. When you start the relationship with three days on Capri, you can’t go wrong! I got to be on a boat for some of the scenes, and then walked all around the island, getting in some pizza and pasta along the way. It’s also been wonderful being in NYC and seeing my fans who also love Dolce & Gabbana at Macy’s!

Instagram followers of both Diet Prada and Stefano Gabbana (of Dolce & Gabbana) have been on a wild ride this afternoon. Dolce & Gabbana was due to present a spectacular show, titled 'The Great Show' in Shanghai today, to pay tribute to Chinese art and culture. 

In an unexpected turn of events, Diet Prada is reporting the show has just been cancelled by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Shanghai. Thanks to the speed in which social media can work, an Instagram direct message conversation between what appears to be Stefano Gabbana and Instagram user Michaela Tranova went viral and caused an uproar over the last few hours. In screenshots posted by Diet Prada, Stefano Gabbana is seen to engage in racist remarks. Gabbana claims his account was hacked and his legal team is urgently investigating.

Dolce & Gabbana released a quote via Instagram "Our Instagram account has been hacked. So as [sic] the account of Stefano Gabbana. Our legal office is urgently investigating. We are very sorry for any distress caused by these unauthorized posts. We have nothing but respect for China and the people of China."

Catherine Zeta-Jones stepped out last night to attend Dolce & Gabanna’s Alta Moda presentation looking as fabulous as ever in a black, corseted lace dress. However her outfit wasn’t the only reason we were doing a double-take. Accompanying the actress was her fourteen-year-old daughter, Carys Douglas, looking just like a younger version of herself.

The mother-daughter outfits perfectly complemented each other without seeming overly matchy. Sticking with a simple colour palette, the duo opted for mostly black, with some colourful floral accents on Douglas’ part. What really won us over, however, were the strappy sandals the women wore. Though not identical, both opted for sleek, elevated pumps that were sexy yet subtle with thin straps that didn’t detract from their looks. Last night, Billboard presented its annual dinner and award gala, co-hosted by American Express. This was the first time the magazine held the event in Los Angeles, and it was a star-studded evening consisting of a red carpet; a cocktail reception; a seated dinner and awards presentation; as well as live performances by Camila Cabello, Kelly Clarkson, and more.

The annual event recognizes "some of the most talented, influential and successful female artists in the music industry, while also recognizing the most powerful female executives in the business," per the press release. And among those honored last night was Selena Gomez, who has been named Billboard's Woman of the Year.

Gomez thanked her BFF and kidney transplant donor, Francia Raisa, during her heartfelt acceptance speech. "I think Francia should be getting this award," the singer shared. "She saved my life. … I feel incredibly lucky." Prior to the ceremony, the two shared a sweet hug in front of the red carpet cameras.

Others honored at the annual event were Solange, who won the American Express Impact Award, Camila Cabello, who was named Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and Mary J. Blige, who took home the Icon Award.

By the time this reaches you, dear readers, Fashion Month will have faded into a hazy memory of runway shows, after-parties, and incredible outfits. For a long time, I never spent more than about $150 on a pair of shoes. I forayed in everything from sub-$30 shoes (a dabbling I strongly recommend against after one very painful romp across Midtown Manhattan) to $400 booties on sale for a remarkable $133 (one of my favourite sale finds to date!)—but never did I drop more than $150 on a pair. I simply refused, based on principle, on account of my love for thriftiness, and on a belief that, truthfully, is a $400 shoe that much more high-quality than a $100 shoe?

The answer, I’ve now learned, is that yes, it is. I recently donated 400 of my hard-earned dollars to a for-profit charity organisation otherwise known as Bloomingdale’s, purchasing this pair of Stuart Weitzman pumps that I simply could not refuse. When I saw the perfectly pointed stiletto, the subtle gleam of iridescence, and the deeply-cut silhouette of the arch, I felt that I had waited my entire life to spend so much money on one pair of shoes—and this was the pair I was destined for.

As my clicker finger paused over the purchase button, I pondered what I was doing. As a 28-year-old woman, I had finally reached the point where I felt like I should own a pair of shoes that costs a somewhat significant portion of my rent—ones that at least had the potential to elevate my personal style from respectable to undeniable. My feet needed an upgrade. Plus, this was all in the name of science: I had to test my long-held belief that expensive shoes weren’t that much better than shoes of average price points. I clicked purchase.

And I’m here to share with you, ladies, an unfortunate truth: Expensive shoes really are better than cheap ones. Here’s a breakdown of what I’ve gathered, point by point:

1. They’re more comfortable.

While stilettos are rarely if ever comfortable, this pair is without a doubt the most comfortable I’ve ever owned. Because the construction quality is so high, and the quality of the leather is too, I feel like my foot is being constantly hugged by my shoe—a sensation that gives at least the illusion of comfort, even when true comfort isn’t entirely present.

2. They feel much more stable.

What’s truly amazing about a well-crafted stiletto is that it makes you feel like you’re not walking on a stabby rod of metal, when in fact you are. While most stilettos I’ve owned have mostly resulted in me wobbling around like a maniac, this more expensive pair somehow makes me feel like I can walk like a normal human being in them. Unlike with shoes that are more cheaply constructed, I don’t feel like I’m tempting fate with each and every step.

3. They magically withdraw compliments from others.

As much as I don’t want to believe it’s true, expensive shoes just look better. If you buy a good pair of expensive heels, they tend to look expensive, which just equates to looking sleek, well-made, and stylish. While I am a big proponent of brands like Zara and ASOS, who have more affordable shoes that oftentimes look just as pricey as the real deal—I’ve come to believe that there is no replacement for true quality.
