Chanel Iman Godchaux has made quite a name for herself in the fashion industry with an impressive modeling career. At just 15 years old, her career ignited when she secured third place in Ford's Supermodel of the World contest in 2006. This early success led to her signing with Ford Models, catapulting her into the high-fashion world. In her inaugural season, she walked for major fashion houses like Valentino, Stella McCartney, and Alexander McQueen.

Over the next several years, she graced the covers of nearly every esteemed fashion magazine, from American and Teen to Korean Vogue. Her career reached another pinnacle in 2010 when she was named a Victoria’s Secret Angel, a role that solidified her status as one of the most sought-after models in the industry. Vogue France further acknowledged her influence by including her in their prestigious list of the top 30 models of the decade.

Godchaux’s curiosity and versatility outside modeling also led her to explore various facets beyond the industry. She ventured into acting, took a spin at DJing, and delved into fashion and retail, showcasing her multifaceted talents and interests. This creative exploration eventually led to the birth of Chasa, her home, baby, and lifestyle collection. Launched recently, Chasa is a passion project for Godchaux, born out of her own experiences and needs while navigating the nomadic life of a supermodel. The collection encapsulates items that have brought her comfort and a sense of home no matter where she was in the world.

Chasa offers various luxurious products, including robes, blankets, and candles, all designed with elegance and comfort in mind. Each piece reflects Godchaux's journey, her love for opulence, and her desire to create a sanctuary wherever she is. Long live maxi skirts and micro-shades—two staples of '90s style. Between Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy's New York street style and Miuccia Prada's pre-smartphone runways, the time period between 1990 and 1999 may be my favorite yet. Although I didn't exactly live through it as a Gen Z fashion editor, every scroll on Pinterest provides me more and more opportunities to channel my inner Kate Moss and Julia Roberts, two leading ladies of the decade.

Known for its preppy, sophisticated style, J.Crew is certainly serving up elevated basics and chic silhouettes that all the It girls of the time were wearing. Olympia Gayot's new era at J.Crew has ushered in stylish garments that rival minimalist cult designers, a major plus in my book as someone who's slowly building their forever closet.

While I've dipped my toe into Y2K butterfly tops and low-rise jeans, there's nothing quite as comfortable to me as neutral long-sleeve shirts, boxy menswear jackets, and oversize denim jeans. Add a tortoiseshell headband, some vampy Chanel nail polish à la CBK, and a sleek black purse, and you're practically a carbon copy of the coolest fashion people back in the day.

We can't deny our love for the holiday season—the over-the-top decorations, endless reasons to get dressed up with friends, and the peppermint hot cocoa. The list goes on, so much so that we often find ourselves shamelessly quoting that Andy Williams song because it truly is the most wonderful time of the year.

Naturally our biggest holiday-related interests fall under two categories: the first being what to wear and the very close second being what to gift our friends and family. This year we're turning to the experts to answer both questions. Mary Lawless Lee, Chanel Iman, and Camila Coelho are not only some of the most stylish women we know, but they also happen to be pro gifters (a title we take very seriously). They've got over 11 million followers combined, so we know we're not the only ones who want to know what they're eyeing this holiday season. For starters: timeless leather handbags, a whole lot of chic red separates, and festive accessories from one of our personal favorite luxury brands, Fendi.

While Mary will be spending her last days of the year on the beach in a bikini (are you jealous yet?), she's been in the festive dressing spirit all month long. Her go-to holiday party look is all about playing up chic red pieces with unexpected accessories like a navy handbag and silk hair scrunchies, which also happen to make great gift ideas.

Her gifting strategy is quite smart actually. "I try to keep a running list of things I know people who are closest to me want or need throughout the year," she says. "Gift giving is almost selfish for me—I feel like I love giving the gift more than the person on the receiving end!" Her shopping list this year includes tons of mini leather accessories, like wallets, which are always useful yet luxe.

As for what she's gifting herself? "I love the shape of the Baguette bag. Now that I’m a mom, mini styles aren’t as realistic. The shape of this bag feels very forward yet practical and it's the perfect daytime to evening bag that I can throw on cross-body while running errands or carry as a clutch for a holiday party."

Chanel proves that her model off-duty style is second to none with her go-to polished look this season. Busy preparing for her second baby, she's focusing on low-key family activities for the holidays like decorating her home and heading to NYC to get all of her shopping done. Her sleek trench paired with classic black accessories could not be chicer for a day in the city. "With the holidays here, this is the perfect bag for all my family events," Chanel says of her Fendi Peekaboo. "It's not too big but big enough for my phone, keys, makeup, and other personal must-haves."

If you happen to be related to the supermodel, then consider yourself lucky, because you might just be unwrapping one for yourself this year. "We have so many women in our family—mothers, sisters, and nieces. Any of the above would love to have a Fendi bag. It’s the perfect gift for the holidays, and I would love to gift everyone one." Hint, hint.

As someone who goes to what seems like a million events for both work and for fun, Camila is fully prepared with her party looks this season. When we asked her to describe her holiday style, she immediately said, "festive, Brazilians always dress up." It's no surprise then that, like Mary, she's loving a head-to-toe red look complete with her patent Peekaboo bag. Although she's continuing her tradition of spending the holidays on a tropical island in South America, she swears by this outfit for so many occasions from holiday work parties to Christmas dinner (and as true advocates for a blazer and dress combo, we naturally are big fans). 

As for Camila's gifting advice? "I always shop online—it’s so much easier!" she tells us, and of course, we couldn't agree more.

Anyone who knows anything about fashion can agree on one thing: It's cyclical. The latest casualties of post-aught consumerism hit this week like a one-two punch: first, the shuttering of storied department store Barneys New York, followed by the announcement that Zac Posen was ending his eponymous label and would not be producing his recently shown S/S 20 collection.

Yes, fashion lovers everywhere took a blow to the gut last week, but as with any end of an era, it's always nice to take a trip down memory lane and recall our favorite moments from stylish years gone by. A homegrown New York City kid, Zac Posen emerged onto the scene in early 2002 and soon earned accolades from both fashion and Hollywood tastemakers. Working with model turned muse Coco Rocha for over a decade, Posen was also a favorite for the red carpet set, regularly dressing megastars such as Rihanna, Natalie Portman, Reese Witherspoon, and good friend Katie Holmes for everything from award shows to Anna Wintour's annual Met Gala.

While we will undoubtedly miss Posen's jaw-droppingly gorgeous gowns this upcoming red carpet season, we'll have to cross our fingers that some archival pieces make their way back into the spotlight over the next few years. Model Chanel Iman's first child might be less than a week old, but the baby girl already has her own Instagram account and is amassing a serious following. Iman and husband Sterling Shepard welcomed their first child on Friday, August 10, and took to Instagram two days later to share their news and announce their daughter's name.

"You were worth every push every contraction!" the Victoria's Secret model captioned a post. "Welcome to our world Cali Clay Shephard, love mommy and daddy." Iman posted two photographs of the newborn, both taken in the hospital ward, with baby Cali swaddled and held tightly. Take a look at the first photographs of Cali Clay Shephard, including a repost from the newborn's very own Instagram account. With a little over 6000 followers at just three days old, it seems Cali Clay Shephard is quickly following in her mom's footsteps.

Everyone was busy ogling Oscars gowns yesterday—and rightly so—but you may have missed a beautiful wedding dress reveal. Brides just shared that Chanel Iman married fiancé Sterling Shepard, and the images are nothing short of stunning. Jourdan Dunn was one of her bridesmaids, and Chrissy Teigen also attended the affair in a glittering, fringed number. 

For her ceremony, Iman wore the Zuhair Murad Camila Dress, a "silk tulle embroidered gown with bolero featuring shimmering 3D floral appliqués," per the brand. For the reception, Iman changed into another gown by the brand: the Christie V-neck tulle gown. We couldn't possibly decide which one we love more. Ah, simplicity. Life (and fashion) tends to be better when it's just easy. Take one look at Chanel Iman's latest ensemble and you'll see exactly what we mean. The model stepped out for dinner and drinks in NYC dressed in a simple uniform—heeled booties, black jeans, and a leather jacket—and the results were anything but ordinary. 

Part of the genius of Iman's look is that she's able to take closet basics and mix them together in an ultra-flattering way.
