Saint Laurent leaned into exaggerated proportions that amplified the drama of its sharp tailoring and hearkened to founder Yves Saint Laurent's classic eyewear. Balenciaga treated sunglasses like futuristic armor, while Celine revived the bug-eye silhouette with a distinctly Jackie O energy. Collectively, the message was impossible to miss: Fashion wants its sunglasses to be loud again.

Look in my closet, and you'll probably notice that there's one color that appears more than any other—in a disproportionate amount. For years, I've loved wearing black—so much so that I rarely wear color. I recently wrote an entire article about how I wear black even in 90-degree weather.

When I was in elementary school, I faked an eye exam because I really wanted glasses. Less than a week later, I admitted I couldn't actually see through the cute Coach frames I'd picked out (they had little hearts on the sides), and we quickly returned them. Both of my parents have worn glasses for as long as I can remember, so I'm sure there was some connection there.

All these years later, I still love eyewear. I've always been a sunglasses person and can't leave the house without them. Whenever I forget them, I insistently remark, "I wish I had sunglasses." Lately, I've been wearing my now-sold-out bug-eye Chimi Giadas every single day, and I also have the sportier Split. My dream additions to my collection are from Celine, Chanel, Khaite x Oliver Peoples, and Prada.

For eyeglasses, I sometimes wear the Baby frames in black from Bonnie Clyde that got extremely popular a few seasons ago, and I've also been trying out The Meg from Jimmy Fairly. I stopped by Miu Miu's SoHo store in New York to try on the best-selling oval eyeglasses every fashion person knows and loves, and more recently, I visited the Akila store in Silver Lake during a trip to L.A. to see how Zoë Kravitz's go-to Alien frames looked on me. Cushiony, buildable, and perfectly blurred, it's been my on-the-go staple since I took it home—and now, it's officially available to shop. Similar to the lipstick, the refillable balm comes infused with a high percentage of natural ingredients—94% to be exact—including black rose oil extract and hyaluronic acid spheres for a smooth, comfortable glide. While the lip balm and lipstick shades are not 1:1 swaps, you could totally layer a balm underneath your lipstick of choice for an extra layer of hydration. I was immediately drawn to the way that personality pieces like brooches and charm necklaces made all the sleek tailoring a little more unfussy and unserious. It felt like a cross between your favorite art teacher and a chic Parisian art gallerist. It's exactly the way I want to dress next season (and truthfully, this season, too), and I'll be looking to incorporate pops of royal purple and maybe a charm necklace or two."

"Dior is in its playful era now that Jonathan Anderson has taken the helm. Anderson has breathed new life into the storied fashion house, which is no small feat given Dior’s stature. For fall, Anderson leaned into shape and structure, with peplum jackets and cardigans as the focal point of multiple looks, paired with everything from equally voluminous ruffled skirts to sleek denim. I could go on and on about the outerwear—the cinch-waist feather-trimmed coat, checked robe coats, sherpa-lined snakeskin jacket, brocade coats, cascading leather jacket—the list goes on. Thanks to this collection, I’m ready to skip summer and go straight to fall."

Chanel

"Minimalism has become the most common theme among runway shows these past few years, but lately, that aesthetic has started to feel performative and lost my attention. That's exactly why Matthieu Blazy's F/W 26 collection at Chanel felt like a breath of fresh air. Rather that stripping things back, he leaned all the way in to what makes Chanel fun. Building a maximalist, bold, cinematic fantasy world that was the polar opposite of quiet luxury. What struck me most was his reimagining of Chanel's iconic tweed. Trend cycles aside, a great tweed jacket is a permanent fixture in my wardrobe, and Blazy's interpretation reminded me why. Layered with eclectic accessories and an unexpected color palette, each look felt like a scene from a Great Gatsby– or Alice in Wonderland–themed film. After seeing the buzz around this debut collection with the brand, I'm sure the line will be once again wrapped around the building when this one hits stores."

"Pieter Mulier's final collection for Alaïa was both emotional and beautiful. For the last time, Mulier removed accessories such as bags and jewelry from the looks, allowing the focus to be on the elegant garments designed to honor the female form. This deliberate, pared-down approach, used to highlight Mulier's signature craftsmanship, made the collection memorable. While outerwear and dresses were the main focus, each piece made a bold statement. For example, the simple, formfitting sleeveless dresses with contour seaming offered understated beauty and countless styling options. The jersey dresses, detailed with crocodile print down the front, directly paid tribute to Mulier's favorite Azzedine pieces and were impactful enough to stand alone. In the coat section, many designs featured a body-hugging fit that subtly flared at the hips with pleats, maintaining the sculptural precision that has defined the house for decades."

Saint Laurent

"Anthony Vaccarello's winter 2026 Saint Laurent collection was a well-tailored presentation of sheer seduction and attention-demanding suits that led a 'conversation between the parameters of femininity and masculinity,' as stated in the show notes. The creative director's decision to revisit Yves Saint Laurent's 1966 Le Smoking was most memorable. A collection of single- and double-breasted suits walked the runway with a 'nocturnal elegance,' as the show notes described, backed by a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. Cutting the tension of the sharp suits was Vaccarello's inclusion of sheer lace bodysuits and drop-waist fur coats. It's clear to me that Vaccarello's Saint Laurent winter collection will define the style set's wardrobe this fall, either through the pieces themselves or by re-creating the show's silhouettes."

Tom Ford

"I'm obsessed with Tom Ford's extra-sexy F/W 26 collection. I love the low-rise pants with the belts hanging at the waist. It was very '90s and effortless that I will be re-creating even in the spring. It's just hot and easy, which is the vibe I'm definitely trying to give throughout the rest of this year, and the whole collection kind of gave that too. I also loved just how creepy the show was since it was inspired by American Psycho—such a classic, freaky film."

Caro Editions

"Across all the different cities, it's really hard to pick just one, especially with all the emerging designers. That said, I keep thinking about the Caro Editions show in particular. To me, it epitomizes the glamorous dressing trend, which I feel like is ultimately timeless. I think of Old Hollywood, silk dresses, kitten heels, vintage fur, and oversize sunglasses."

If you ask me, Sarah Pidgeon—whether she's in character as Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy on the hit Hulu series Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette or simply roaming the streets of Paris between runway shows—is doling out the best street style inspiration of the season. Argue with me all you want, but you can't deny that everyone's talking about her right now, and what she wears is a large part of the conversation.

One particular outfit has been stuck in my head since I spotted it over the weekend, mostly due to how much it reminds me of looks Bessette often wore in the '90s. On Saturday, the actress was seen leaving every celeb's favorite Parisian hotel, Le Bristol Paris, with a friend, wearing a simple yet elevated denim outfit that's sure to be copied all throughout spring. Spring in New York always feels like a miracle to me, especially after the winter of historic snow we just endured. For months, getting dressed has felt focused solely on bundling up enough to not dread being outside. I know that sounds dramatic to people who love the cold, but there's something repressive about endless layering. I miss dressing for what I actually like to wear. With warmer days finally within sight, I can't express how much I'm looking forward to spring and dressing in a way that feels true to me. As someone who mostly wears neutrals, I've been surprised by how drawn I am to vivid colors right now. If these hues are out of your comfort zone, I think the easiest way to approach them is through a single standout piece, like a solid-colored dress, a sweater, a bag, tights, or even ballet flats.

Oversize Sunglasses

I've already been leaning into oversize sunglasses, specifically the Giada from Chimi, which I can't stop wearing. I know I technically look better in smaller frames, but there's something about a statement pair that instantly makes an outfit feel more fun. I'm also eyeing the Camille from Vincent Boulevard when it restocks.

Cardigans

Then there's the cardigan, which is a piece that doesn't really feel like a trend because it's always been a staple in my closet. Still, cardigans were everywhere on the spring/summer 2026 runways and felt hard to miss. First unveiled on the spring/summer 2005 runways, the Fendi Spy Bag quickly grew a cult following that launched the bag into the same stratosphere as the beloved Baguette and coveted Peekaboo. The dumpling shape is iconic of the bag, with double handles moulded from the bag's body, and a flap closure with a secret. Whilst the original Spy bag came in a series of neutrals, bold shades and pattern mixing, the new version feels like an elegant older sister. 6. The Louis Vutton Speedy

The Louis Vuitton Speedy bag has a long history dating all the way back to the 1930s. First presented as a travel tote, the luggage brand expanded into everyday accessories, updating the Speedy along the way. The original was made in size 30, then came the variety in sizes to offer more versatility to the wearer. You only need to look at the intensity and excitement surrounding the return of the Celine Phantom bag, now titled the Celine New Luggage bag, for proof of why this trend is flourishing. While the comeback of bags from the indie sleaze era, like Chemena Chamali’s re-up of the Chloé Paddington or Balenciaga’s modern spin on Nicolas Ghesquière’s Motorcycle, is common practice these days, the revival of this Old Céline haunt struck a chord like no other.

Is it the fact that enough time has passed since Phoebe Philo’s tenure that it can now be considered vintage? Or, does it simply come down to the French maison’s customers craving something familiar following exit? After I was given the chance to carry the popular shape for a week, I don’t believe one factor is more significant than the other in terms of the style’s deep appeal. Instead, the frenzy for the reintroduced piece highlights that superb design and a cult-following will always prove triumphant.

As someone who, very fortunately, managed to get her hands on the exclusive style days before the launch, these were considerations I kept in mind when road testing the Celine New Luggage bag. What is the Celine New Luggage Bag?

Celine’s New Luggage bag is a new expression of a storied design that was introduced by Michael Rider, the Parisian brand’s current creative director, in his debut Spring 2026 collection. Since the seasonality is one that is rooted in transformation and renewal, Rider should pay tribute to not only one of Celine’s most enduring creations but also the rich history layered into it.

You see, it’s not actually Rider’s first time at the French maison. The American designer first worked at Celine under Philo, making the New Luggage not only a comeback, but a homecoming. Setting the stage for this return, Rider decided to stage his first show at the brand’s headquarters at 16 Rue Vivienne, making it a true full circle for both the man and his ideas. The brand itself echoed this sentiment in a press release for the bag, writing that the New Luggage was “elegant yet effortless, extending the past into the present through a more contemporary silhouette”.

What is the Difference Between the Celine Phantom and the Celine New Luggage Bag?

While Celine also offers a bag similar in shape and effect called the Luggage, it’s important to note that the New Luggage isn’t paying homage to that style, but rather another bag altogether. The piece in question that derives its shape is called the Phantom. This bag was first released in Celine’s Pre-Fall 2011 collection with a black croc-embossed style that accompanied a panoply of gorgeous cream shearling coats, mod-esque pinafore-inspired mini dresses and a colour palette reminiscent of Piet Mondrian, though far less saturated. In the years that followed, it garnered several celebrity adherents, including Rihanna, Gwyneth Paltrow and the Kardashian-Jenners, making it one of the most recognisable and in-demand accessories of the decade.

On a structural note, there are several key differences between the Celine Phantom and the Celine New Luggage bag. The earlier shape was more boxy, while the reimagined version has more of an exaggerated east-west style with a protruding wingspan and zips that extend far beyond the flaps. Celine New Luggage Bag, Reviewed By an Editor

It’s midday during an unusually sunny London day and I’ve escaped the office for a moment, deciding to enjoy a reprieve by wandering through the beautiful and ornamental Italian Gardens in Hyde Park. Armed with my newfound obsession, the Celine New Luggage bag, and dressed in my interpretation of a Parisienne, which includes an oversized wool-silk blazer from Henne, ombré jeans and Dear Frances’s mesh ballet pumps, I couldn’t help but feel transported to the Jardin des Tuileries in the City of Lights.

It’s not the exact effect I expected to feel when carrying a bag so functional and practical as this, but I suppose that’s the beauty of the Celine New Luggage. As the name suggests, the bag is a vessel for exploration, acting as a vessel to equip you and hold your essentials during travels. To some, this may take the form of a gorgeous work bag, while others might find the playful shape works better for more whimsical moments, like impromptu picnics or chic cocktail hours. The supple, shiny lambskin really did serve all these outings and more, which was an intentional decision made by the brand to ensure the pared-back construction and piped edges resulted in a softly rounded shape that was light to carry.

As it turns out, I wasn’t the only Celine wearer who had the inspired choice to make my way through the city’s lush and verdant grounds. During my jaunt, I spotted the very chic and weather-appropriate shearling Claude shoulder bag and the classic Triomphe slung across another wayfarer’s body. While there is the option to go hands-free with the Celine New Luggage bag thanks to an excessive strap, I personally kept it close to my chest, tucked into the crook of my elbow or in my firm grasp. (The two top handles are sadly not big enough to wear on your shoulder.) As I passed, however, I couldn’t help but have a very arrogant thought pop into my head: “I have the latest ‘It bag’ and they don’t.”

There’s a certain power that comes with being able to access designer wares early, but this definitely isn’t a style that’s designed for pomp or ostentatious behaviour. It’s not necessarily the mark of quiet luxury either, given that the New Luggage is brimming with personality. (How can you say no to that smile!)

The bag prioritises individuality, which is exactly what Philo’s time at the house encapsulated, too. It’s often hard to imbue a daytime ensemble with charisma when the tasks for the day include sitting at a desk, running around town, ticking off errands or catching up with friends over lunch. These activities can all be sedentary, so what I loved most about the Celine Luggage was how it really was an invitation to get out into the world. Not to show off, but to show up and be present.

While the bag is roomy, it certainly would be a struggle to fit the device in the bag if your laptop is over 13 inches. So, it’s certainly not the bag you’d want to make your primary work tote. In saying that, it’s the perfect shape for on-the-go ease. With a gorgeous suede lining, it’s a comfortable home for all your most-needed possessions when moving around; a hairbrush, lip balm, diary and juicy novel.

As the campaign styling suggests—and something you’ll soon notice after as much wear as I had—the bag doesn’t take itself too seriously. This means that the leather is intended to soften and fold over time. The leather is far from stiff, which will show signs of wear and age faster than other styles. Don’t fret, though, as the act of breaking in your bag and wearing “distressed” styles is actually considered the preferred style, thanks to style icons like Mary-Kate Olsen and Jane Birkin proving how elegant messy accessories can actually be. This does mean that the bag will lose its box-fresh shine slightly sooner than anticipated, but it won’t be completely free of lustre thanks to the quality of the leather.

From afternoon meetings to morning Pilates classes, I found myself gravitating toward the New Luggage even during moments when I needed to carry very small amounts. (Think: keys, Joan Didion-approved Triomphe sunglasses and a fragrance to spritz on afterwards.) In that way, I found the medium size to be slightly awkward as it was too small to carry my laptop and extra work amenities, but not small enough to be an evening bag that I could take out to dinner.

Still, and as both Rider and Philo have proven, there is nothing more sophisticated than wearing very fundamental wardrobe staples with a humongous bag. Be it leggings or woollen trousers—both appeared in Celine’s Spring 2026 show alongside the New Luggage—the effect was incredibly covetable. Styling the bag like this gives an outfit a wear of refined insouciance, or relaxed effortlessness. And with a bag whose moniker is synonymous with carrying excess baggage, I can’t think of anything more pertinent. As the brand says itself: "The New Luggage upholds Celine's enduring design codes through precise construction, attitude, and understated sophistication."

Whether Celine will continue producing the Luggage bag in its initial form remains to be seen, though there are plenty of pre-loved options circulating the resale market. In fact, the UK-based rental platform By Rotation has already confirmed searches for the brand increased by 100% in the months after the New Luggage’s debut in July 2025.

As soon as the Phantom's returns had officially been cemented, it was a race to see which A-lister would wield Rider's creations. The contest was won by none other than A$AP Rocky, becoming the first celebrity to be spotted with the New Luggage while wearing a head-to-toe Celine outfit while out in New York.

Of course, the Celine Luggage is no stranger to paparazzi appearances, so it was only a matter of time for the New Luggage to offer as much cultural stock as it did in its heyday. But it appears Celine was rather strategic with their VIP placements, as it only appeared on one other notable outing. The second jaunt came on the heels of Julia Robert's arrival at the 82nd Venice Film Festival.

Landing at Venice Marco Polo Airport, the legendary actress put on a casual air by carrying the bag while wearing a pair of navy plimsoll trainers, tailored shorts and a cardigan emblazoned with the face of Luca Guadagnino, the Italian film auteur who directed the psychological thriller, After The Hunt, which she starred in.

New Celine has arrived with Michael Rider’s first collection for the French fashion house. The artistic director presented his much-anticipated spring 2026 show in Paris just ahead of Couture Fashion Week, held at the Celine headquarters on 16 Rue Vivienne in Paris.

Rider tapped into the Celine house codes, infusing nods to his predecessors—Michael Kors’s sophisticated sportswear, Phoebe Philo’s minimalist tailoring, Hedi Slimane’s skinny pants—while making the collection distinctly his own. The designer hails from Polo Ralph Lauren, where he was most recently creative director. He previously began his career at Balenciaga on Nicolas Ghesquière’s team before spending 10 years working under Phoebe Philo at Celine, so the show marked his return to the fashion house. His background in both Paris and New York lent a French American point of view to the collection, blending elements of classic prep and bourgeois style.

Rider brought a preppy-bourgeois sensibility to the collection with printed silk scarves tied at the neck and tucked under the lapel of a blazer, straight-leg denim paired with sleek white sneakers, and dramatic furry outerwear worn with pleated trousers and loafers. A Return to Color

The palette had a foundation of neutrals including black, white, and camel, but bold color returned to the runway in a big way. Ask anyone I grew up with, and they'll probably tell you that it's no surprise I ended up working in fashion. This product came in the form of an uber-chic red lipstick which was embossed with the Maison's monogram logo, and you can already guess that every stylish French woman has given this a go.

I fell in love with the long-wearing, lightweight, buttery formula, and the satin-like finish always earns me so many compliments. That being said, because of the bold red hue, I only tend to reach for this lipstick on special occasions. So, you can imagine my delight when I heard that Celine Beauté was launching 14 new shades, including the chicest nude option. Of course, it was only right that I put these new lipsticks to the test.

The Formula

As mentioned above, these lipsticks have a long-wearing yet lightweight formula. As a beauty editor, I've tried a lot of lip products in my time, but these are definitely some of the best. When you first apply them, you will be met with impressive colour pay off. A little goes a long way, especially when it comes to the more statement shades.

Although they feel like any other lipstick at first, as the day goes on you will notice just how soft and buttery this formula is. The product actually includes 89% of ingredients from natural origins, such as oils and squalane for a hydrating finish. I have very dry lips and struggle to find a lipstick that works for me, but this product doesn't cling to any dry patches and instead gives a smooth, satin-like appearance. Yes, I do have to apply a little bit of lip balm throughout the day before topping up my lipstick, but this isn't anything out of the ordinary for me.

One thing I really love about this formula is that it is delicately scented with a rose accord and rice powder. To me, this makes the whole experience of applying my lipstick feel even more luxurious.

The Shades

There are 15 shades to choose from within the collection, ranging from bold reds to a deep burgundy and classic nude hues. As someone who prefers a "no-makeup" makeup look, I was really excited to give the more subtle shades a go. After testing them out, my personal favourite was "La Peau Nue", a timeless, pinky-nude lipstick that I know I will be reaching for on a daily basis.

Another shade I loved was "Rose Athenais". This is more of a statement pink shade, and although I wouldn't usually reach for this kind of colour, I tried it on before going out for dinner and all of my friends ended up asking me what lipstick I was wearing.

The Packaging

Now, I couldn't talk about this lipstick without mentioning the packaging. Each product comes housed in a white Celine box, and inside you'll find a black velvet sleeve embossed with the fashion house's iconic logo. The lipstick itself has been designed as an extension of the Celine perfume bottle, with a faceted gold metal case. The entire design looks completely timeless, and is luxurious from start to finish.

The Verdict

All in all, I couldn't be more excited that Celine have extended the Le Rouge lipstick collection. At £62, this product is an investment, but if you are thinking of treating yourself, I truly believe that it is worth every penny. Not only is it the ultimate fashion accessory for the season ahead, but the timeless design will last you forever thanks to the refillable format. With lots of different shades on offer, I have no doubt that we will be spotting this makeup product hiding in the handbags of the chicest people around. My only wish? I'd love to see further extension to the nude shade offering—please and thank you, Celine.

It takes a lot to shock me in the fashion department. I tend to wear unexpected things at times, so when other people do it, I'm rarely phased. Chanel's latest fragrance from the Les Exclusifs De Chanel collection, Comète, is captivating and deeply rooted in the fashion house's lore. Gabrielle Chanel, known for being superstitious and having a fascination with astrology (she was a Leo, FYI), drew inspiration from the stars when designing her first jewelry collection. One standout piece was a diamond-encrusted necklace shaped like a shooting star, specifically molded to sit close to the skin. This iconic piece inspired Comète, a perfume said to capture the essence of stardust, echoing the formfitting necklace with its skin-like musk.

The scent is powdery, sparkling, and intricate, evolving beautifully with your skin's chemistry. Its notes include heliotrope, powdery iris, cherry blossom accord, and a smooth, musky base. While it wears close to the skin, the projection and longevity are impressive. The dry-down lingers for hours, often leaving a lasting impression noticeable to those around you. The first day I tested it, I could still smell the shimmering scent hours after spraying, like olfactory stardust suspended in the air.

3. CHRISTIAN DIOR LUCKY ESPIRIT DE PARFUM

When it comes to luxury French fashion houses, it doesn’t get much more iconic than Dior. The brand began creating fragrances in 1947 and launched Miss Dior in the same year—a scent that remains a classic to this day. But in 2021, the brand announced that Francis Kurkdjian (the very perfumer behind Baccarat Rouge 540) was to be the House's new perfume creation director. Since then, we’ve seen Kurkdjian reimagine some of the most iconic Dior fragrances.

The brand's latest launch with Kurkdjian? A concentrated reiteration of five famous scents from the La Collection Priveé Christian Dior Collection. These reimagined fragrances are bold, head-turning, compliment-inducing scents that radiate modern luxury. Although any of the five would be a great addition to your perfume collection, if we had to choose one, it would have to be Lucky Esprit de Parfum.

This pretty scent is inspired by the stems of lily of the valley that Christian Dior would sew into the hems of Haute Couture dresses or tuck into his pockets for good luck. It features fresh, delicate notes of the flower wrapped in a woody-leather accord that gives the floral opening impressive depth. "To me, it’s a crisp autumn walk in a bottle. Whenever I spritz this, I can practically feel the leaves crunching underneath my feet," says our junior beauty editor, Grace Lindsay.

4. BALMAIN CARBONE

One of the most exciting fragrance launches of the season has to be awarded to Balmain Beauty. The brand has just released a collection of eight all-gender fragrances called Les Éternels de Balmain, inspired by the brand’s Parisian legacy and creative director Olivier Rousteing’s modern influence. In 1947, Balmain revolutionized the fragrance world with the launch of the first iconic green scent, Vent Vert, and we do not doubt that Les Éternels de Balmain will carry the same legacy.

The bottles themselves are a work of art and feel like a true expression of how fashion and beauty cannot exist without one another, as explained by Rousteing when he discusses the fragrances. But not even the bottles could prepare us for just how exquisite these scents are. Although we could write an essay on each, from the minute we smelled them, we knew that Carbone would be our autumn fragrance of choice. This is the sort of scent that you want to wrap yourself in and never take off.

It’s a complex fragrance with notes of sensual white musk at the heart, but it opens with hints of sweet rose, which almost lures you into a false sense of security before the true depth of this perfume comes through and you start to discover its darker side. Once notes of musk settle on the skin, you're treated to a warming haze of tobacco, suede, and cumin. It’s bold, unique and truly delicious.

5. LOUIS VUITTON LV LOVERS

Louis Vuitton’s latest fragrance is, without a doubt, love at first smell. Inspired by the sensation of sunlight on your skin and the natural process of photosynthesis, it exudes a radiant blend of green and woody notes, evoking the feeling of wandering through a sunlit forest surrounded by fresh, dewy leaves in dappled light.

Crafted by Louis Vuitton’s master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud in collaboration with men's creative director, Pharrell Williams, the scent is intended as an invigorating well-being elixir that instantly boosts your mood. And who doesn't want that once the nights begin to draw in? The fragrance boasts impressive projection and longevity, lingering on clothes all day like an optimistic halo.

The zing of ginger opens the scent, followed a the woody green snap of galbanum before drying down into creamy sandalwood and soft cedarwood. It’s one of those uplifting scents that not only smells incredible but also elevates your spirits with every spritz. We applaud Louis Vuitton for bottling liquid sunshine, just in time to carry us through the darker months ahead.

6. GIVENCHY L'INTERDIT ABSOLU

According to Givenchy’s latest perfume launch, this season is not the time to be subtle with your scent of choice. The French fashion house is known for its daring fragrances, and one of our all-time favorites has to be L’Interdit, a musky-floral scent that lingers beautifully on the skin.

This autumn, the brand has introduced a new iteration called L’Interdit Absolu Eau de Parfum Intense. With an intoxicating blend of orange blossom, sambac jasmine, lavender, and cardamom, it’s an uplifting scent with a strong, sensual base. Although the opening is inherently floral, your senses are taken on a journey thanks to rich notes of tobacco and rum absolute. Once it settles on the skin, a warming cashmere comes through, making this fragrance feel just as luxurious as your favorite cashmere jumper.

7. FENDI DOLCE BACIO

Fendi sent editors' hearts aflutter with the launch of seven fragrances this year, each inspired by the Fendi family personalities that have each shaped the brand throughout the generations. Our favorite? Dolce Bacio.

It's inspired by Anna Fendi, who also happens to have an ochre-colored rose named after her. Dolce Bacio takes the classical rose note and pairs it with the alluringly sweet and sunny apricot. Described as "a tender kiss on the cheek that leaves behind a faint rose lipstick scent" and "vibrant orange sunrises overlooking rose gardens in Rome," you would be forgiven for thinking this is only a fruity floral. But the addition of Indonesian patchouli unfurls, making this scent both gentle and powerful; a trait that Anna Fendi's daughter Silvia Venturini Fendi notices in the generations of Fendi women.

Upon first spritz, this scent sparkles with the brightness of sun-kissed apricot and the earthy, smoky dryness of patchouli. At its heart lies the opulent damask rose from Turkey—powerful, velvety, and akin to a warm embrace, making this a cozy scent that will linger long into autumnal evenings.

For many of us, this time of year calls for a seasonal scent update. As we bid farewell to summer, the turn of the leaves and the sudden drop in temperature have us reaching for our autumn perfumes once again as we welcome in these cooler, crisp days. Thankfully, the world's most esteemed fashion houses have spoilt us with their fragrance launches of late, each providing plenty of scented inspiration to take us through the season and beyond—whilst racking up plenty of compliments along the way.

These days, new perfumes and niche fragrances from independent brands launch pretty much every week, but previously, luxury fragrances were strictly the business of pioneering and exclusive fashion houses, such as Dior. Much like today, these fragrances allowed consumers to buy into a small piece of the brand, which was particularly appealing if they didn't have the means to invest in a full high-end wardrobe. Fragrance, with all of its emotive connotations, offers us a chance to experience the very essence of these luxury designers with every spritz, on a more objectively accessible budget—an idea that remains very compelling to those who would like a slice of the lifestyle these brands signify.

Many fragrance icons, like Chanel's legendary No.5, were born in the 1920s. The decade was a pivotal moment for women's style, shrugging off the dated silhouettes of the previous century and welcoming in more directional pieces like flapper dresses and trousers, the latter of which were formerly reserved for menswear. The only thing better than a new season of Emily in Paris to devour in one sitting is the real-life Emily Cooper, aka Lily Collins, tearing it up sartorially while doing press for the show. Ever since season one of the Netflix hit series, Collins has taken her press looks very seriously—as seriously as Emily does on screen, with all the same luxury designer pieces but a slightly more pared-back aesthetic.

Last time around, for season three, we saw the MaXXXine star in a mix of Saint Laurent, Alessandra Rich, Dior, and Fendi during her press tour, with highlights including the custom knotted-jersey gown by Anthony Vaccarello that she wore to the show's premiere in Paris and hyper-elegant A-line Dior dress that she and her stylists, Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, chose for an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

Naturally, though, season four's press tour looks are the chicest and most impressive yet. With the first five (of 10) episodes dropping today, we thought it was only right to highlight some of the best (and most French-girl coded) outfits Collins and her team have debuted thus far. With the Olympics taking place in Paris this year, Collins naturally teamed up with NBC to create some buzz around the Games as well as Emily in Paris season four, shooting a spot with American track and field athlete Anna Hall in a red Valentino couture miniskirt covered in 3D florets, blue button-down shirt, and black necktie. She paired the look with black tights, red Ferragamo wedges, and a black beret (of course).

Collins formally kicked off her press tour for season four in Copenhagen, where she co-hosted a dinner with Netflix and Vogue Scandinavia during Copenhagen Fashion Week. For the occasion, she appropriately chose a Danish brand, Mark Kenly Domino Tan, or MKDT Studio, wearing a gray sleeveless dress from the pre-fall 2024 collection. With it, she chose Alaïa's viral net flats and Cartier jewelry, including the French jewelry house's Trinity stud earrings, a diamond Panthère de Cartier ring, and a gold band from the Love line.

This exaggerated Celine pussy bow feels like the perfect addition to Collins's Emily in Paris press tour, especially since the actress recently hinted in an interview with InStyle that we'd be getting more fall, winter, and holiday looks on her character in season four compared to past seasons that took place during warmer months. With it, she wore a black, long-sleeve minidress and Panthère de Cartier earrings.

Before the official kickoff of the Emily in Paris press tour for season four, Collins and her co-star Ashley Park went on David Chang's Netflix cooking show Dinner Time Live, for which the actress wore a simple, chic ensemble featuring a crochet short-sleeve cardigan from Celine, Cartier jewelry, and a pair of dark-wash jeans.

If I'm being honest, I'm a Pilates snob. Whether practicing at home or in a studio, I prefer my props, activewear, and surroundings to be top-notch—bougie, if you will. While I may be the only one admitting it, I'm not alone in this sentiment. How do I know that? Celine's latest Pilates collection.

On Monday, Celine unveiled its new line of luxurious Pilates equipment, gear, and accessories on Instagram. The range includes a reformer, ready-to-wear clothing, kettlebells, dumbbell weights, and more, all embellished with Celine's signature logo. If there's two words that excite me more than anything else, it's "designer fragrances". As a perfume-obsessed beauty editor, I love nothing more than testing the latest luxury scents and filling you in on my favourites. I've tried them all over the years, from classic brands to more niche fragrance purveyours. However, when I found out that sophisticated French fashion house Celine was adding another impressive scent to its chic collection of perfumes, I knew I had to smell it for myself.

Celine launched its first nine fragrances in 2019, with the unique scents being conceived by Hedi Slimane, creative, artistic and image director of the brand. Weighty glass bottles with black caps adorned with the maison's emblem only make these perfumes more appealing, and I have no doubt that some of Paris' most fashionable apartments have these fragrances proudly on display. Since 2019, Celine has released two more scents and, in June, the brand will be adding a twelfth to the collection.

Celine's latest creation is a testament to just how much thought is poured into these perfumes. As described by the brand, the fragrance is a "tribute to the sylph-like heroines of the '60s." At first spritz, I was reminded of being a fresh-faced teenager wandering the streets of Paris without a care in the world. The crisp, delicate, skin-like scent has a powdery innocence to it that will take you on a journey back to your youth. However, once this perfume settles on the skin, the creaminess of vanilla and musk creates an unexpected warmth that will keep you coming back for more. This unique fragrance is perfect for spring/summer, and I know I will be reaching for it time and time again.
