With the biggest event in football and one of the biggest sporting events, well, ever underway, it's understandable why interest in jerseys is piqued. People, specifically fashion people, want to know how to style their country's kit during the 39-day tournament, which runs from June 11 to July 19, allowing them to cheer on whatever team they choose to support without sacrificing style.

It's a topic I think about a lot as Who What Wear's unofficial (actually, kind of official) sports expert. I average at least two sporting events a month, a number that jumps in the summertime, when there's no shortage of tennis matches, WNBA games, and Formula One races to attend. But with the World Cup kicking off, I have tunnel vision, and 100% of my focus is on the beautiful game, particularly the jerseys that the best players in the world will be wearing as they compete for the FIFA World Cup trophy. Mood boards have been made, and closets have been destroyed, all with the end goal of determining the "right" way to style a soccer jersey during the 2026 World Cup.

Ahead, see the result of my hard work and determination. Fine, I didn't work as hard as the likes of Lionel Messi, Lamine Yamal, and Erling Haaland in the lead-up to the tourney, but I must admit the World Cup jersey outfits below are just as deserving of first place.

Some of the coolest kits in World Cup history feature a polo neckline, and while none of this year's jerseys feature it, I couldn't resist making one of my own using a classic white polo from Burberry and Mexico's home jersey. With a kit this bright and colorful, you don't need to do a lot to make it look stylish. Just add a pair of vintage Levi's and some comfortable high-vamp pumps that won't tear up your feet between traveling to and from the match and standing up every time something exciting happens on the pitch. On January 26, 2025, Naomi Girma's name was carved into the history book of women's soccer. Through a deal with Chelsea F.C., the then-24-year-old from San Jose, California, became the first player ever to be transferred for over a million dollars, forever making her soccer's million-dollar woman. Although others—notably Trinity Rodman from the Washington Spirit—have since surpassed that figure, Girma will always be the one who shattered her sport's seven-figure ceiling, a milestone that changed her sport, her career, and most of all, her life—and she only just turned 26 yesterday.

Girma first garnered attention during her college career at Stanford, where she led the Cardinal to victory in two Pac-12 Championships and one NCAA Championship. Her accomplishments throughout college (2018 to 2021) set her up to be selected first overall by San Diego Wave FC in the 2022 National Women’s Soccer League Draft. In her first season in the NWSL, she was named Rookie of the Year. The honors only continued from there. When the defender was selected to join Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, she played every single minute of the six-game tournament, including the gold-medal game, which saw the U.S. defeat Brazil 1–0. When she followed that up with a standout showing at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, she received the 2023 U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year Award. Since then, Girma moved from California to London as part of that four-and-a-half-year historic deal with Chelsea and has already helped the club reach the UEFA Women’s Champions League semifinals and the FA Cup final.

As a certified Londoner, there was only one thing left for her to do: star in a Burberry campaign. Ahead of the 2026 World Cup, Girma joined Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Romeo Beckham, Jodie Turner-Smith, Son Heung-min, Leah Williamson, Eberechi Eze, and more in A Good Sport, the British heritage brand's ode to football fandom. "Burberry has such a strong legacy," Girma tells Who What Wear. Off the field, Girma is still an early 2000s baby who enjoys many of the same everyday things as other people her age: using an LED mask, going to the park with a vanilla latte and a good book, and journaling or watching TV. What made you first gravitate toward playing soccer?

My parents came to the U.S. from Ethiopia, and soccer is massive there. Seeing how much appreciation there is for soccer in Ethiopian culture helped me fall in love with it too. I was raised in San Jose in California, and my dad founded a grassroots club so that kids from the local Ethiopian community could get to know each other on the weekends. I loved it instantly, but it really wasn’t until college that I started to seriously think I could make something of it and go pro.

You made your Olympic debut at the 2024 Games. What were some of the biggest takeaways for you?

That summer felt like a total dream. I’ve always loved the Olympics. We used to watch it as a family growing up. An important takeaway is how to deal with high-pressure moments. I just remembered why I play, and it’s because I love it. It made those important games feel like fun instead. The other is how important it is to work together and to trust your teammates. Our team meshed so well; we had worked together and relied on each other, and that’s how we got to that point.

For people who maybe aren’t into soccer, is there anything you’d say to them about the sport? Or the best lesson you’ve learned from soccer?

I’d say soccer is such a beautiful sport because it’s simple, but there’s so much depth to it. You don’t need a lot to play at all, just a ball and some space, and that’s part of why it connects people all over the world. Even if you’re not into soccer, I think you can appreciate the energy, the creativity, and the emotion of it.

The best lesson I’ve learned from soccer is probably the importance of doing things together. You can be talented, but you can’t do it alone. The game teaches you accountability, patience, communication, and how to respond when things don’t go your way. Those lessons translate far beyond the field.

How would you describe your personal style? If you had to pick three words to describe your style, what would they be?

I’d describe my personal style as relaxed, intentional, and classic. I like pieces that feel effortless but still put together—things that are comfortable and easy to move in but have a little structure or detail that makes them feel special. If I had to pick three words, I’d say clean, sleek, timeless.

How would you say your personal style plays into your life and career?

As an athlete, comfort is always important to me, but style is also a form of self-expression. So much of my life is structured around performance—training, recovery, travel, matches—and what I wear off the pitch gives me a chance to show a different side of myself.

I think my style reflects how I try to move through life and my career: calm, grounded, and intentional. I’m drawn to pieces that feel strong without being too loud. Whether I’m traveling, going to an event, or just having a day off, I like feeling like myself in what I’m wearing.

I’d love to hear more about working with Burberry on the A Good Sport campaign.

Working with Burberry was really exciting because the campaign brought together two worlds I love: football and style. Burberry has such a strong legacy, and to see that through the lens of the sport I love so much—the energy of match day, the fans, the culture around the game—felt really authentic. Being part of that alongside such an incredible cast was special too. I only moved to England last year, so I’ve loved the chance to work with such an incredible heritage British brand.

What are some of your wardrobe staples—things that you find yourself reaching for every day—and beauty must-haves? If you had a starter pack, what would be in it?

My starter pack would definitely include a great jacket, a good pair of jeans, sneakers I can walk around in all day, and a simple white or black tee. I love pieces that I can mix and match, especially because I travel so much. A good coat or trench is also such an easy way to make an outfit feel more elevated without trying too hard.

For beauty, I keep it pretty simple. Sunscreen is a must, especially with how much time I spend outside. I’d also say a good moisturizer, lip balm, and something to keep my hair feeling healthy. I’m usually drawn to products that are easy, reliable, and fit into a busy routine. I also LOVE my LED face mask! It’s so relaxing but also so great for my skin.

Can you share your favorite spots in London?

Everywhere I go, I have to find a great Ethiopian restaurant. London has some really great spots. I love places that feel warm and communal, where you can share injera and a mix of dishes with friends. Zeret Kitchen and Wolkite are both great names to know. Ethiopian food is so connected to family and community, so I always love when a restaurant captures that feeling.

What’s your perfect day in London or recommendation for someone visiting?

My perfect day would start by heading to the park with a vanilla latte and reading a book—if London weather is having a good day! I’m big into self-care. It’s crucial to take some time for myself and take a break from outside pressure. So I’d finish the day with some journaling and watching a show.

On the off chance you haven't heard a single thing in the lead-up to the 2026 World Cup, these are the basics you'll want to learn first. This year, all 104 games will be played in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico, with a total of 16 host cities scattered throughout North America. The opening ceremony will take place at Mexico City Stadium (Estadio Azteca), and the final match will be held at New York New Jersey Stadium. (Yes, that is MetLife Stadium. It's just being temporarily rebranded.) In the U.S., other noteworthy stadiums include SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, home of the L.A. Rams; Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, home of the Atlanta Falcons; and Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, home of the Kansas City Chiefs. (Will we see Taylor Swift there? Only time will tell.) The fans at Estadio BBVA in Monterrey, Mexico, also known as "El Gigante de Acero," are said to be the most passionate when it comes to soccer. For those who are just getting into the beautiful game ahead of the World Cup, these are the names you have to know. Even if you've never watched a match, you've probably heard of a few of them, like Argentina's Lionel Messi, who scored twice in the finals in 2022 and converted the first penalty in the shootout, winning him his first World Cup title. One of Messi's primary career rivals, Cristiano Ronaldo, is another star of the sport. The Portuguese legend has played in five World Cup tournaments, but he's yet to win, making 2026 likely his final chance. France's Kylian Mbappé won in 2018 and, at the time, was the youngest player in French football history to score in the World Cup. Four years later, he came close to going back-to-back but came up short thanks to Messi and Argentina's triumph. (He did have a hat trick in the final, though.) Plus, given his age compared to other stars like Messi and Ronaldo, he's likely to have another shot in 2030.

Lionel Messi

The 2026 World Cup will mark Argentinian phenom Lionel Messi's sixth go at the World Cup and the first since he and his squad won in 2022 against France, when he averaged a goal a game. His rookie season was exactly 20 years ago, at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, after going professional in 2004 when he joined FC Barcelona. He's 38 now, and no one was sure he'd play. Messi is currently competing at a high level on his club team, Inter Miami CF, where he's been since 2023, when he left Paris Saint-Germain FC after two years. Still, we didn't know whether or not he'd want to come back to World Cup play after 2022's triumph. But after showing up in an Adidas campaign just weeks before the start of the tourney, he confirmed his participation, eliciting a sigh of relief for fans everywhere—in Argentina especially. The lone fact that he's playing at all makes the 2026 World Cup significant, with Messi being widely regarded as one of if not the greatest football players of his generation. He can do it all and has the 13 World Cup goals and 103 overall goals for the Argentina National Team to prove it.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of Messi's longtime foils. Though, the latter recently reminisced to Lo Del Pollo about their years of competing against each other at every level, calling their rivalry "beautiful." Like Messi, this year's tourney will be the Portuguese star's sixth World Cup showing, with a total of eight World Cup goals in 22 games. His best finish was fourth in his debut in 2006. Now, he's 41 years old and nearing the end of his lauded career, which saw him become the all-time leading scorer in men's international football with 142 goals from 225 games. He's on track to become the first player ever to score 1000 goals in competitive games, with 971 and counting. This year's World Cup tournament will only get him closer to that feat.

Vinícius Júnior

Brazilian forward Vinícius Júnior only made his World Cup debut in the last tournament, yet he's already made quite the name for himself in international play, having scored four goals in the 2022 tournament. His country holds the record for World Cup wins, with five, but Brazil hasn't won since 2002, and its best finish since then was just fourth, back in 2014, when it hosted the event. In other words, the pressure is on for Júnior to help bring his national team back to the top of the international standings, but he's handling it with grace. "I don't pay much attention to what people say," he said in a March press conference. "I imagine everyone wants me to be one of the protagonists. I'm prepared for all the challenges in my career. I've already played in a World Cup. I don't want to lose again." If he plays his cards right, there's no reason he can't avoid that fate in 2026.

The Rookies

As exciting as it is to see the players we've grown up with play in, for some, their final World Cup tournament, it's just as exhilarating to watch as the next generation of elite-level athletes achieves their dreams for the first time. Lamine Yamal

He's only 18, but Spain's Lamine Yamal is already one of the most talked-about stars of the 2026 World Cup—and it hasn't even started yet. The FC Barcelona forward has been busy helping his team defeat its primary rival, Real Madrid, in El Clásico, the nickname given to any match between the two clubs. The result was FC Barcelona winning the 2025–26 LaLiga title, its 29th overall. He has tekkers like you wouldn't believe and a scoring ability that rivals Messi's. Plus, he's only at the very beginning of his career. Off the pitch, Yamal's influence is on the rise as well. Ahead of the tournament, he starred alongside Messi, Trinity Rodman, Jude Bellingham, Timothée Chalamet, Bad Bunny, and other Adidas ambassadors in Backyard Legends, the campaign and short film that instantly went viral on social media. Photos of him with Olivia Rodrigo similarly broke the internet when the pop star, who collaborated with Spotify and FC Barcelona on a custom jersey with her logo on it, attended El Clásico, meeting the team after its triumph. The hype is deserved and is expected to grow in spades once the tournament kicks off, especially given Spain's high odds of taking home the FIFA World Cup Trophy in 2026.

Désiré Doué

Twenty-year-old Désiré Doué is a highlights master and makes the beautiful game look easy. In basketball, people like to say players with good handles have the ball on a string. That's the Frenchman, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain and is making his World Cup debut in 2026 for the French team, which has the second-best odds of winning it all. He joins Mbappé, as well as star goalkeeper Robin Risser and 2025 UEFA Champions League Player of the Season Ousmane Dembélé, on France's roster, one that will be difficult to get past for their competition. Why? Well, it's been 27 years since his country qualified for the tournament, with the last time being way back in 1998, when it was held in Marseille, France. The team broke that streak at the tail end of 2025, when they beat Estonia and Italy in order to qualify, allowing Haaland to show off his skills, which are regularly put on display for his club team, Manchester City, on the biggest stage in the sport.

Though it's important to give flowers to the stars of the sport, in football, and especially during the World Cup, it's the teams—countries—that matter the most. Football is a team game—one player isn't going to win it all for you, something we've seen play out time and again. If a team doesn't have good chemistry, it doesn't matter how many stars you have on a roster. A less-flashy squad with a we-before-me mentality can take you out, even early in the tournament.

This year, 48 total squads will be competing for one trophy and, of course, bragging rights. Each one represents their home, and winning for your country will always come before any one player's desires for their résumé. In 2026, Spain and France are the favorites, with the latter hoping to make up for its loss in the finals in 2022 on the world stage. But don't count out the other top contenders—England, Brazil, and Argentina—who have all won, Argentina as recently as the last World Cup. England, being home to arguably the most elite club football championship in the sport, the Premier League, will always be competitive, and Brazil has won the World Cup title the most out of any other country, claiming it five times. Las Vegas may set the odds, but what will turn out on the field is another story.

Spain

Despite having only one win at the World Cup back in 2010, Spain is one of if not the favorite to take home the prize in 2026, led by one of the greatest young talents in the sport, Lamine Yamal. The team is coming off a big win at the Euros in 2024, where La Roja beat England 2–1 in the finals in Berlin. Now, they're hoping to follow up that triumph by bringing the top trophy in football back home, with coach Luis de la Fuente tapping other young stars like Pau Cubarsí and Fermín López, both of whom play alongside Yamal at FC Barcelona. Spain's first game will see the national team play Cape Verde on June 15 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

France

In 2022, France was minutes away from winning back-to-back World Cup titles after claiming victory at the 2018 tournament against Croatia. It would have been only the third time this has happened in the event's history, with Italy having achieved it in 1934 and 1938, and Brazil doing the same in 1958 and 1962. In a shootout, Argentina prevailed, a fact the French will no doubt use as motivation this time around. The team is led by Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, promising World Cup rookie Désiré Doué (one of many World Cup newcomers on the squad), and manager Didier Deschamps, and will kick off play on June 16 at New York New Jersey Stadium (MetLife Stadium).

England

It's been 60 years since England won its one and only World Cup title back in 1966, when the team triumphed at home at Wembley Stadium against West Germany, a feat that coach Thomas Tuchel will hope to re-create at this year's tournament in North America. Tuchel has called on Premier League stars Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice, and Bukayo Saka, as well as key pieces from European club teams, like captain Harry Kane, a striker for Bayern Munich. The squad will start off play at Dallas Stadium (AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders) on June 17 against Croatia.

Brazil

Brazil is the winningest country in the history of the World Cup, achieving greatness five times, in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, and 2002. It's been a while, though, and the squad with arguably the most lore will hope to end its winless streak in 2026. Going into the tournament—Brazil's 23rd, having never failed to qualify since the inaugural event in 1930—the team is ranked sixth in the world, with star Vinícius Júnior, Raphinha, and new coach Carlo Ancelotti leading the charge. The Seleção Canarinho will match up against Morocco on the 13th at New York New Jersey Stadium.

Argentina

As the reigning World Cup champions, Argentina is undoubtedly in the running for this year's trophy, especially with star Lionel Messi returning to the squad for what will likely be his final World Cup run. This will be the team's 19th campaign, and going back-to-back would bring its win total to four. Further bolstering its chances of winning is the fact that, in addition to winning the World Cup in 2022, Argentina also triumphed at the 2024 CONMEBOL Copa América. The team is led by coach Lionel Scaloni, Messi, and goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, and will begin play on June 16 at Kansas City Stadium (otherwise known as Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs), facing off against Algeria.

This wouldn't be Go Sports if we didn't talk about the most stylish players set to compete in this year's tournament. While they'll be busy on the pitch, we have plenty of time to stalk their Instagram photo dumps, which often feature a mix of both action shots from games and high-fashion ensembles consisting of curated pieces by the likes of Off-White, Louis Vuitton, Dior, and more. Football is becoming one of the most sartorially minded sports in the world, competing with the likes of Formula One, the NBA, and the NFL. The belts' cinched shape gave the ensembles a refined finish, blending intentionality, practicality, and style.

I’ve been wearing the same silver aviator frames for two years, and I’m growing fatigued of my signature look. I’m ready for something new, and have been on the hunt for a new pair of glasses that communicate “I’m stylish, and cool.” So far, I’ve narrowed my choices down and now I’m in between a rectangular, silver pair and a black, rounder frame.

For those of you who wear prescription glasses like me, picking a pair is no easy feat. There’s so much to consider when you’re also a fashion person. Your frames become part of your outfit, so you have to be mindful of what your wardrobe already consists of to ensure they blend in with your aesthetics. I love that glasses can change up your whole vibe, though. Once I got my aviator frames to replace my vibrant green backup pair, I looked a lot more elegant and quite reserved. It's the morning of the Burberry show, and somewhere in a Central London hotel room, a speaker is blasting Britney Spears. In it, Tefi Pessoa, the inimitable social media personality, comedian, host of her new podcast Tefi Talks, and collective internet big sister, is belting out the lyrics while swathed in a fluffy hotel bathrobe. She describes her look for the show as channeling "a Latina in London," and the centerpiece is, of course, a trench coat with a large, bold version of Burberry's iconic check print. It's a piece that insiders will immediately recognize as a marker of the brand's new era underneath Daniel Lee.

Since his appointment as creative director in 2022, Lee has been remixing house classics and subverting motifs of quintessential British fashion in a way that has brought new energy—and an undeniable amount of buzz—to the storied house. Each new collection has taken his vision one step further, making Burberry one of LFW's most highly anticipated shows and sought-after tickets in town. While his winter 2025 collection tapped into a luxurious escape to the English countryside, he's set his sights on another staple in every Londoner's calendar for the spring 2026 show: Glastonbury. The retro rockstar influence was apparent throughout the wardrobes but also the staging. As for what Pessoa is most looking forward to seeing on the runway this season (and wearing in six months' time)? Bright, vivid color. Before she departed for the venue, we caught up with her to chat all things Burberry and London Fashion Week, from the campaign that still lives rent-free in her head to her go-to getting-ready playlist and everything in between.

What do you love about London Fashion Week that is unique compared to attending fashion week in other cities?

London is a cool girl. She isn’t scared to get a little experimental and push boundaries. London is the good kind of weird.

Burberry has notoriously been charting new waters under Creative Director Daniel Lee for the past several seasons. What are you most anticipating seeing from his next collection?

Color! I think the world needs more color now more than ever. I need some brightness in my life.

You walk into a Burberry boutique with an endless budget. What is the first thing you're ringing up?

I’m buying every boot and every trench coat. Immediately.

Are there any favorite Burberry pieces currently in your closet?

My great uncle left me his Burberry scarf and his umbrella. No one is allowed to borrow them or wear them. He bought them at Burberry in the '80s. I cherish them a lot.

What are your earliest memories of Burberry as a brand? Is there a certain campaign or wish-list item you remember looking at?

Talk to me about your look for the show and what inspired it. Who or what are you channeling?

I’m trying to channel Latina in London. I love a braless tank and a trouser. I feel like this outfit is so me. I feel very free in it and like I’m not wearing a costume. One of my biggest pet peeves is when an outfit is wearing the person. I like my look because I could go from set to drinks with girlfriends and feel chic the whole time. Isn’t that what life is all about? Seeing your girls after work in a tank top. Ugh, love.

In what ways does this look speak to you and your personal style? Is this in line with what you'd dress yourself in, or did you step outside of your comfort zone?

I don’t think I really have a comfort zone outside of wearing a skirt in cold weather. I hate that. Yes, I totally feel aligned. I wish I could show you how COMFORTABLE THIS PANT IS. I said, “Bye, my love,” when I packed her away. That’s how much I love this pant.

What is the direction you're going in for your hair and makeup, and why did you choose these details to complement your Burberry look?

I wanted a very Burberry eye: bold and blended. Then, skin that looks like skin. Blush is very important to me. I want to look like me but with a little more attention to the eye. I know it’s starting to get colder when I start wearing darker eye looks.

Do you have any pre-show rituals or traditions? What's playing in the speakers while you get ready? What song or artist is a must on your getting-ready playlist?

I go for a run, blast Britney Spears and Future, and yell, “EVERYTHING WILL LOOK GOOD” every so often. After every show, I have a cheeseburger and a Diet Coke.

You're ordering room service while in the glam chair. What's in the order?

A pot of coffee and a small charcuterie board. Every time.

Hotel bathrobe!!!!!! Sacrilegious not to!!!!!

What are some of the non-LFW-related things you'll be making a point of doing in between the shows and events (touristy or otherwise)?

I love London parks. I don’t think they get enough credit. People forget how green London is. I love sitting on a bench in a London park and watching the light hit the leaves. London really is such a cool girl, and she’s always good to me. Love her down.

Ever since Daniel Lee took the helm at Burberry, all eyes have been on the brand. Understandably, it can take designers a few seasons to find their footing when taking over as creative director at a new brand, especially one with as a rich heritage as Burberry. Lee's spring/summer 2026 collection that just made its debut at London Fashion Week proves that he's found the formula for balancing the trademarks of the brand with his own modern sensibility since joining the fashion house in 2022.

If I had to give a name to the theme of the collection, I'd call it Glastonbury goes Burberry. The '70s rock-star influence was apparent, but the looks had a polished, clean edge that was chic and wearable. As expected given the brand's pedigree, it was a celebrity-heavy front row, and many were decked out in checks and reimagined trenches. Lining the runway were Alexa Chung, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Lila Moss, to name a few.

The Trends

Reimagined Checks

It wouldn't be a Burberry runway without the fashion house's signature checks, but instead of the traditional tartan it's known for, Lee opted for checks in an array of colors and forms. There were boldly colored trenches with a patent-leather sheen, sequined and fringed minidresses, cropped trousers, and shoes made of bands of leather to form check designs. Given the popularity of plaid this season, it was exciting to see all the ways the trend could evolve.

Glastonbury-Friendly Boots

The Glastonbury Festival is one of the UK's most cherished events, and much of Burberry's S/S 26 collection was synonymous with the signature look that the fashionable attendees routinely embrace. Given the muddy grounds, boots are practically a requirement at Glastonbury, and many of the models wore rugged mid-calf pairs that would be perfect for the occasion.

Crochet Dresses

It was impossible to ignore the dress trend that Burberry is embracing for spring—crochet minidresses—as multiple models wore it. Many of the dresses, which came in an array of colors, were embellished with metallic discs, sequins, and gold chains at the neck, and these details elevated the casual trend. If your goal is dressing like a cool British woman, just add the aforementioned Glastonbury boots and perhaps the next trend I'm highlighting.

Long, Skinny Scarves

While 2025 has been all about silk scarves tied around the waist and hair, according to Lee, 2026 will be all about wearing a '70s-inspired skinny scarf around your neck. He styled them with multiple looks on the runway, including suits, trench coats, crop tops and trousers, and those cool-girl crochet dresses.

Fringe

In keeping with the '70s theme that ran through the collection, fringe was prevalent, especially in the form of suede handbags, leather trenches, and even sequined dresses at the conclusion of the show. It's also worth noting that many of the skinny scarves the models wore featured about a foot of fringe at the ends, which swayed and shimmied with each step on the runway.

Spring weather has barely arrived, but we're already dreaming about hot summer days. Fueling this desire to dive into our favorite season is Burberry's High Summer 2025 campaign, shot by Drew Vickars on 35mm on location under the Dubai sun.

Celebrities On and Off the Runway

Nobody brings out an impressive A-list crowd like Burberry does, and its latest runway show hardly wavered from its reputation. Season after season, it's reliably been the backdrop to the most exciting celebrity appearances of London Fashion Week, and this season delivered all the same, although the most talked-about sightings happened on the runway. Lila Moss walked in a floral A-line skirt set, and Naomi Campbell donned a fringed printed trench coat that blurred the line between outerwear and eveningwear. Thigh-High Boots Are So Back

Well, well, well, if it isn't the revival of thigh-high boots. Per the show's equestrian overtones, there were three standout looks featuring leather boots that crept well over the knee—a boot silhouette that's been absent from the trend cycle for long enough that it feels overdue for a return. Considering that Khaite also showed over-the-knee boots on the runway this season, we're already earmarking the style as hero shoes of fall 2025. At Burberry, they were styled with equestrian jodhpur leggings and cropped, high-neck jackets that felt like a delightfully approachable way to wear them.

The Key Buy? A Burberry Metal-Clasp Belt

Since shoppability (is that a word?) is always top of mind at Who What Wear, we instantly spotted the item that will be filling the carts of the fashion set as soon as fall hits. It was a belt but not just any belt. It was a sleek black leather one that was finished with a metal clasp and hooked around varying ensembles. Burberry styled it with an oxblood-hued fringe dress, atop a plaid coat with a matching scarf tucked delightfully into the belt, and over a billowing silk blouse, proving just how outfit making the piece can be and filling our fashion-editor minds with endless ways to wear it.

Here's Where Outerwear Is Heading

There's nothing more quintessentially British than a trench coat, and Lee's tenure at Burberry has been defined by his experimentation with the outerwear classic. In his debut collection, that looked like oversize shapes with faux fur–trimmed lapels, and for fall/winter 2025, trench coats arrived in hushed tones like camel and black cherry and finishes like embossed leather, patchwork shearling, and jacquard weave that feel undeniably elegant and mature. As Burberry is perennially a leader in the outerwear space, these coats are already hinting at the direction the trends are heading in next season, and we'd all be wise to take notes.

Last but certainly not least were the deliciously luxurious velvet looks that punctuated the collection. In Lee's vision of the perfect autumnal wardrobe, velvet should be front and center. Burberry Goddess Perfume Review:

The Notes:

So, what does this perfume smell like? As mentioned above, this is a gourmand scent which features a trio of vanilla notes. The top note is a woody vanilla, with sweet vanilla caviar at the heart and a base of vanilla absolute. There is also hints of lavender throughout, which give the fragrance this distinctive floral edge. I like to describe it as a grown up gourmand, as although it has a strong sweetness to it, it's also incredibly warm and seductive.

It's worth noting that there are actually two iterations of the scent. You can also get Goddess Intense, which is my personal favourite. Although the fragrances are similar, this newer version features a fourth vanilla wood, which adds a rich, smoky element to the perfume, making it even more captivating.

The Longevity:

I've tried both versions of Burberry Goddess, and although I love the scent, one thing I will say is that they don't have the best lasting powers. Don't get me wrong, the fragrance definitely lingers on the skin, but if you're heading to dinner after work, I recommend popping the perfume in your bag for a quick top up in between plans.

What I do love about this scent is that other people seem to pick up on it a lot. TikTok certainly isn't lying, as this perfume is bound to earn you compliments. In fact, I wore this to the office the other day and when I got into the lift, two colleagues asked me what fragrance I was wearing.

The Packaging:

In true Burberry style, the packaging is as chic as ever. Both iterations come in a gorgeous gold bottle, and the perfumes have been designed to be refillable. Once you purchase a refill, all you have to do is unscrew the fragrance pump, screw the refill on and it will stop automatically once the bottle has been filled.

The Verdict:

All in all, I'm a big fan of this Burberry perfume. Since adding it to my collection I've reached for it almost every day, and it's already earned me so many compliments. Yes, it's sweet and features a lot of vanilla notes, but in my opinion it's also incredibly sophisticated. It's a little bit more expensive than fragrances from the likes of Zara or & Other Stories, but for a designer scent, I definitely think it's worth the money. The only downside is the longevity, but that really is the only thing I can fault.

I'll be well into my trip to London this time next week, so naturally, I've been browsing the Instagram accounts of every chic person in Great Britain in an attempt to decide what to pack. My consensus? As long as I have a single-breasted trench coat (preferably from Burberry), I'll fit right in.

As London is one of the original homes of the trench coat and a place where it rains a lot, no one, myself included, should be surprised that the utility-meets-style essential is popular among locals. In the photos, she can be seen riding a bike through the yellow leaf–lined streets of London wearing none other than a Burberry car coat. With the staple outerwear, she added olive-green gloves and a matching Burberry scarf wrapped around her head.

Chic Londoners Monikh Dale and Lucy Williams are also frequenting this one trench-coat silhouette, styling it with an easy white tee and slip skirt (Dale) and a black sweatsuit and sneakers (Williams). Clearly, this jacket has range.

I mean let's face it, who doesn't like be told that they smell good? Although I wear perfume because it makes me feel good, it still makes my day when someone else asks me what scent I'm wearing.

Lately, I've been noticing one perfume in particular popping up in everyone's videos. Yep, I'm talking about Burberry Her. You could say that this fragrance is somewhat TikTok-viral, with lots of creators claiming it's one of their most complimented scents in their entire perfume collection. The Notes

I always like to talk about the notes first because all we really want to know is what this perfume smells like. This is definitely a gourmand fragrance, and if you don't like sweet scents, then this won't be for you. I personally love sweet perfumes, and after one spritz I already knew that this scent was right up my street.

At first, you are hit with ripe, jucy notes of crushed red berries which give this perfume a deliciously uplifting aroma. However, soon are you met with more sophisticated florals such as jasmine and violet, which add a soft, romantic edge. Finally, a base of amber and musk add this smooth, sensual creaminess which makes this scent so addictive.

I thought the berries might give this perfume a slightly younger vibe, but the base notes elevate the sweetness to create this seductive aroma, and I can see why so many people get complimented on this scent.

The Longevity

Now, onto the longevity. When you're spending over £100 on a perfume, you want to make sure it lasts. Although this is a sweet scent, it does have impressive lasting powers, and when wearing it I noticed that it lingered on both my skin and clothes. That being said, by the end of the day it's definitely not as strong as it is on first spritz, and I have found myself having to top this up before heading out in the evening. If you do want something a little stronger, I recommend trying Burberry Her Elixir, a richer version of the original fragrance.

The Packaging

This perfume comes housed in a baby pink bottle with the Burberry logo front and centre. I actually think this pale pink hue represents the fragrance perfectly, and there's no denying that the bottle will look good on any dressing table.

The slim shape also makes it a little easier to pop into your handbag, and you can also purchase 30ml and 50ml bottles that will be a lot lighter to carry around.

The Verdict

So, is this perfume worth the hype? In one word, yes. Since testing it out myself I've received so many compliments. Even my boyfriend said he loved it and he never usually comments on my fragrances. As mentioned above, this is an incredibly sweet scent, so if you don't like gourmand perfumes then this won't be for you. but I believe it's the sugary sweet notes that make this fragrance so captivating. I assumed that I would only reach for this in the daytime, but thanks to sensual amber and musk it also makes for a great date-night scent.

It's definitely not a cheap perfume, with a 100ml bottle setting you back £130, however it is quite strong so you don't need to use a lot. One thing that slightly let me down was the longevity (I would prefer to not have to top it up in the evening) but it's probably the only thing I could fault. Apart from that, I have to give it to TikTok—this really does bring in the compliments.

Pros: Smells delicious, looks beautiful and everyone will be asking you what perfume you're wearing

If you're a fan of The Bear, you likely understand the significance of the actors who play Carmy and Claire going on what appears to be an IRL date in NYC over the weekend. Since Daniel Lee took the helm as creative director at Burberry in 2022, the fashion world has closely followed the brand's evolution. Under Lee's leadership, Burberry has revitalized its iconic image by skillfully fusing modern fashion trends with timeless elements. Yesterday, Burberry held its S/S 25 show at the National Theatre in London, with a front row brimming with A-list celebrities. Naturally, the fashion world eagerly attended and waited to see what the brand had in store for the season ahead and how Lee would put his signature on the British fashion house's style codes.

For his fourth runway collection, Lee presented a refined lineup of easy and elegant designs. While the pieces paid homage to the classic British codes of the House, they felt like a departure from what we've seen in the past. Rather than bold patterns and head-to-toe moody ensembles, a sense of softness and lightness was felt. There were feathers, chiffon, and ethereal color palettes of light grays, pale greens, beiges, slate blues, and even lilacs. Beyond the soothing energy, the styling felt intentional. 1. Utilitarian-Inspired Designs

Burberry's new collection displayed the brand's enduring affection for utilitarian workwear. It included elegant maxi dresses embellished with epaulets, sleeve loops, and wide lapels, but the standout pieces were the outerwear. Alongside classic trench coats, there were innovative jacket styles that embodied Lee's dedication to combining traditional and contemporary elements. The collection featured reimagined versions of the trench coat, such as billowing, cropped poncho-like silhouettes with faux-feather collared trims. Additionally, there were military-inspired short jackets adorned with collegiate patches and striking silver buttons, as well as a refined mid-length design with button closures and belt details. These utilitarian-inspired designs were effortlessly styled for everyday wear, demonstrating their blend of style and functionality.

2. Pretty Paillettes

Lee presented edgy new versions of some of the label's classic styles, along with glamorous sequined pieces. These included a sequined top with ruffle trims and various halter dresses that exuded effortless elegance. These pieces captivated onlookers due to their effortless movement, drawing on Burberry's heritage of fabric innovation. The looks were also impactful because they were unexpectedly paired with cargo pants and trench coats—a very British styling reminiscent of Kate Moss's and Alexa Chung's old-school Glastonbury outfits.

3. Refined Stripes

In the S/S 25 collection, Burberry's signature House Check was featured on oversize saddle-shaped bags, open-toe mules, and belts. Lee also introduced another print: stripes. These eye-catching stripes made a striking statement throughout the collection, adding a fresh twist to the brand's classic aesthetic. From silk scarves elegantly tied around the models' necks to lady-like button-down shirts and baggy pants with a tapered silhouette, the versatile and timeless appeal of the stripes further proved the wearability of the new collection.

4. Sporty Elements, Continued

Suppose you have been monitoring recent runway shows. In that case, it is probably evident that the fashion landscape is currently influenced by and infused with sportswear (think nylon jackets, rugby shirts, polo tops, and track pants). During its S/S 25 show, a male model graced the runway wearing a quarter-zip pullover in Burberry's famous check print. Moreover, there was a distinctive polo shirt. This may be controversial, but I’ve always found autumn my favourite season to dress for. I'm in no way against the ease of summer and how its throw-on dresses and slip-on sandals make getting dressed each morning a five-minute affair. The fashion community often jokes about attendees at the annual Met Gala who ignore the theme and wear something beautiful that doesn't exactly embody the year's exhibition and the story behind it. Lewis Hamilton is never one of those attendees, and his 2024 look is no exception.

This year's Met Gala celebrated the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute's exhibition Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion and had a dress code called The Garden of Time, which was inspired by J.G. Ballard's 1962 short story of the same name. To adhere to the theme, Hamilton—who raced from the Miami Grand Prix yesterday to New York City for fashion's biggest night—worked with his stylist, Eric Mcneal, and Burberry Creative Director Daniel Lee to create a custom, all-black ensemble dedicated to an 18th-century gardener named John Ystumllyn.

In an interview with Vogue on the steps of the Met, Hamilton shared that he stumbled across Ystumllyn's story while he was gathering research for his Met Gala look. As a child, Ystumllyn was taken from Africa to Wales, where he was enslaved. There, he learned horticulture, going on to become the first Black gardener in Wales. "Inspired by the legacy of John Ystumllyn and the beauty of his work," the seven-time Formula One world champion captioned a slideshow of IG photos from the red carpet. "Thank you, Daniel Lee and the Burberry team."

Specifically, Hamilton wore a tailored black coat with floral bullion embellishments and an Alex Wharton poem titled "The Gardener" embroidered on the inside. Underneath, he wore a double-breasted silk suit with leather Burberry Saddle Boots. As for jewelry, Hamilton partnered with Briony Raymond, donning yellow-diamond earrings, a diamond wrap ring, and a vintage 1960s yellow-sapphire-and-diamond ring.

The way that I look at it, two types of fashion purchases: ones that are done with a "right now" mindset and ones that are made for the future. Both are completely necessary and justifiable. After all, maybe you need a new white tee because each one you own has makeup stains or you need a trendy piece of jewelry for a specific event. In these cases, a purchase made on a whim makes sense. Then there are the buys that take days, weeks, and even months of forethought. Those purchases are designed to live a long life, maybe even surpassing your lifetime and extending on for decades to come.

When it comes to future heirlooms like these, there are a handful of fashion items that instantly come to mind. You have iconic mainstays like the Dior Bar Jacket, Bulgari's Serpenti jewelry and timepieces, and Burberry trench coats. But there are also newer arrivals to the scene that are proving to be just as timeless and valued by the fashion community at large, such as The Row's Margaux Bag and Chanel's spring/summer 2024 Mary-Jane flats. If the lore around the Dior Bar Jacket is true, the iconic nipped-in silhouette got its name from the bar at the Plaza Athénée, a Paris locale that Christian Dior, who debuted the creation in 1947, frequented. Dior's Bar Jacket has taken on countless iterations in the 77 years since its hourglass shape made history, transforming with each new creative director at the helm of the French brand. Nonetheless, it's never stopped being a sought-after item, and with elegance and sophistication at the top of everyone in fashion's minds right now, it's arguably never been more in demand.

Last year, Roman jewelry house Bulgari—the jewelry is often spotted on ambassadors Zendaya and Anne Hathaway—celebrated 75 years of its Serpenti line, its most iconic collection that was designed all those years ago to represent metamorphosis and constant transformation. Its wraparound timepieces, bracelets, and rings, which really do adapt and grow stronger every season, are some of the most notable in the entire jewelry industry, not to mention desired, with fashion people everywhere trying to get their hands on one of Bulgari's two-tone cocktail watches or rose-gold chokers.

My grandmother used to collect Hermès scarves and I always thought about them, hoping that one day I'd get to call one of them mine. They were an item that one day, I could actually obtain; something that even now I can't say for certain about a Hermès handbag. When I finally did get one of the French brand's colorful and artfully detailed scarves, it felt like the ultimate style achievement. And that's something I, for one, would love to pass on to the next generation. Though less physically substantial than a Birkin or Kelly bag, Hermès' delicate scarves are embedded in fashion history.

Chanel's spring/summer 2024 collection provided something for the fashion community that's uncommon, to say the least: a future heirloom. We talk a lot about buzzy items that will spur people to shop and talk, but rarely do new releases immediately make the classics list. That, though, is exactly what I'm predicting for the black and white Mary-Jane flats that Virginie Viard sent down the runway at the French house's show back in October of 2023. Right now, they're everywhere, but the timeless design makes it so they won't fizzle out when the next big thing rolls around. They'll live on and hopefully become a staple of the brand for years to come.

Vogue said it best when it called The Row's Margaux Bag—which comes in a variety of sizes, materials, and colors—an "heirloom in the making," liking it to the Hermès Birkin bag. The open-top, top-handle tote is almost always sold out, especially now that The Row has pulled it back from third-party retailers and made it so you can only purchase a new Margaux from the brand's website or stores. And while its celebrity fan base (made up of names like Zoë Kravitz, Kendall Jenner, Jennifer Lawrence, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and more) has certainly helped it rise to fame culturally. That isn't necessarily what's made the Margaux into a forever staple for fashion people, though. It's a simple, understated, and practical bag at the end of the day—one that owners of it go back to time and time again.

The 1900s marked the creation of the trench coat—a garment that does it all, touching on stylish, timeless appeal as well as practicality. In 1879, Thomas Burberry invented the material gabardine, an alternative to the heavy, hot rubberized cotton that was traditionally used in waterproof outerwear. At first, it was utilized in the military, but soon, its commercial success skyrocketed, so much so that according to Harpers Bazaar, by 1934, the outfitter's namesake brand had to set up same-day delivery in London to keep up with demand. Today, Burberry's trench coats have taken on hundreds of different aesthetic changes, though it's still a wardrobe staple that checks off both utilitarian and style boxes, allowing it to maintain its value and reputation over time.

This holiday season, I'm all about bringing fun energy to my outfits. That means interesting textures, shiny details, and lots of color. Whether I'm dressing for a fancy party, a casual day of gift shopping, or anything in between, I'll be using accessories to infuse this vibe into my looks. And not just any accessories—I have my sights set on Burberry's latest collection. Between the faux-fur shoes and bags, rosette details, and statement jewelry pieces, the whole collection is worth swooning over. Here's how I'd style these accessories to channel the luxury brand's modern British aesthetic for every holiday event.

For a day of holiday shopping, exploring a new city on a winter vacation, or a casual celebration with friends, I'd keep my look simple and elevated. These lug-sole shoes make a statement while remaining ultra comfortable, and they look just as cool styled with denim as they do with a miniskirt and tights. Everyone loves an LBD no matter the time of year, but for a holiday party, I'd recommend dressing your favorite one up with jewel-toned accessories. I'd start with this pair of chic faux-fur and velvet heels (are you sensing a theme?) in a rich purple hue that exudes glamour, especially when paired with this emerald green bag. Even though I'm an L.A. girl, I lean into winter fashion. Sure, maybe I don't have to endure temperatures in the negatives, but that doesn't mean I'm about to miss out on all the stylish collections that drop at the same time the temperature does. And this year, I have my eye on one in particular: Burberry's Winter 2023 Collection by Creative Director Daniel Lee.

This masterpiece of a collection is Lee's first, and it's inspired by the British Isles, a testament to the brand's heritage. (The campaign was shot by Tyrone Lebon on Scotland's Isle of Skye.) Think classic trench coats (a Burberry icon, to say the least), rubber boots (they're in my cart because yes, it does rain in Los Angeles), and even cozy, chic blankets to wrap yourself up in on those extra-chilly nights. The pieces are functional yet elegant. And of course, you'll find classic Burberry check patterns and some playful new takes dreamed up by Lee that we haven't seen before. While there was a plethora of accessories included in Lee's collection (don't get me started on my love for a classic Burberry scarf), I fell hard for the assortment of beautiful handbags. The Knight bag is a true showstopper—it adjusts from a shoulder bag to a tote, features incredibly cool brushed-metal hardware, and is just all-around chic. I already see the suede style as my go-to for the season. The Knight bag is joined by structured totes in quintessential Burberry check patterns, satchels, and faux-fur clutches that'll keep your hands warm in the cold. Can I just have everything?

I'm a shoe girl through and through, so you know I had to give a moment to these Burberry investment pieces. Lee's attention to detail in designing each pair was apparent—he kept the shoes stylish but practical for winter months. (Hello, faux-fur heels.) These aren't shoes that are going to get ruined by the elements. You'll find heavy-duty lug soles, rubber-heeled booties, and shearling-lined clogs. There's something to keep you right on trend for every winter climate.

From duck-printed blouses to rosette-detailed skirts, the apparel in this collection feels fresh and playful, quite the opposite of what you might expect for winter. But the rich colors and luxe fabrics add that beautiful wintry element to each piece. (Think mohair-blend sweaters, faux fur–collared coats, and wool skirts.) I love how the pieces in this collection can easily be dressed up or down. Wear tights and heels with a miniskirt to your office holiday party, or pair your trench coat with sneakers for a walk around the park.

Rounding off a memorable London Fashion Week, Burberry's runway show garnered as much attention for its front-row guests, as it did for the items spotted on the runway. Amongst the A-list crowd were models Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jourdan Dunn and singer Kylie Minogue who all made a co-ordinated statement in an unusual shoe style from the British heritage brand.

Sporting high heels in purple and yellow shades, it wasn't the colour, nor the height of the shoe that got us talking, rather the controversial fabric choice that cushioned the sole of the heel. Featuring designs embellished with coloured lamb shearling, Burberry's latest shoe has a fuzzy sole that seeps outwards of the shoe, for an enlarged, cushioned effect. Building upon the fuzzy designs that were debuted last season, Daniel Lee's second Burberry collection explores new embellishments, shapes and colours for the divisive fuzzy shoe.

The fuzzy shoe, sported by Huntington-Whiteley, features a stiletto heel, squared toe and large velvet rose that is positioned front and centre of the heel. Styling her statement shoe with a classic Burberry trench, the model fused Burberry's heritage with its new direction for a playful FROW look.

Another proponent of the new shoe was model Jourdan Dunn, who styled her purple fuzzy heel with a head-to-toe tartan look which saw Dunn in a knitted turtleneck, a co-ordinating skirt and tartan-print tights which were finished off with Burberry's satin step fuzz sandals.

Her statement look leans into Burberry's more playful side, which sees the brand mix heritage prints with bold designs for an eclectic collection that subverts its understated roots.

Australian singer and actress Kylie Minogue also opted for the fuzzy heel for the occasion, which she styled in a purple shade with a green leather trench coat. Arguably quite un-friendly for the changeable British Weather, Minogue pushed ahead, styling her look with sheer tights and coordinating purple nails.

Choosing a more traditional take on Burberry styling, actress Jodie Comer wore a strapless grey tartan dress with black knee-high biker boots from the British brand. Forgoing accessories, Comers looks felt fresh and light for the day-time runway show.

I’ve reached the point to where no matter what the forecast or calendar says, it’s officially summer. All of my favorite brands have launched their summer collections, and the fashion people I follow on social media are already on their third and fourth trip of the year. While I’m slightly envious of the ultra-chic vacation pics appearing on every single app I open, I’m directing this energy to a travel mood board. (I mean, is there a better manifestation technique?) I’ve included my dream destinations (Turks and Caicos, is that you?) and activities—and even dreamier clothes and accessories. At smaller brands such as Di Petsa and Khaite and established labels such as Stella McCartney and Loewe, exaggerated drapes reigned supreme for fall, with countless looks featuring billowy fabrics folded and twisted around each other in the prettiest of ways. Of course, the art of draping is hardly new to the fashion scene, but fall's selection felt undoubtedly more intentional and delicate than any drapes showcased in past seasons.

Pretty doesn't even begin to describe the various forms of crystal-netted fabric found at Miu Miu, Christopher Esber, MSGM, Elie Saab, and more for fall. The perfect mix of masculine and feminine tropes—the armor-like silhouette appeals to the more masculine side, and the crystal embellishments err more on the feminine side—this trend is nothing if not aesthetically pleasing.

The lingerie-as-outerwear trend continues for fall with a more elevated and obvious spin compared to how we adopted it during the COVID lockdown. Back then, the lingerie trend mostly consisted of boxer shorts and bras being worn as tops. At most, we let our underwear peep through a sheer fabric or show above the hemline of our jeans. But Burberry, Erdem, Brandon Maxwell, and more took it a step up for fall, entering the boudoir and showcasing vintage-inspired lingerie meant to be worn on top of your clothes as opposed to underneath them.

I still remember when I saw this look from Bottega Veneta for the first time. Shocked by the visual appeal of its translucent sequins and how they displayed the electric-yellow slip underneath, I could tell instantly that it would stir up a major trend. And indeed it has. Showcased at 16Arlington, Nensi Dojaka, and Eckhaus Latta as well, sheer sequins are skyrocketing into popularity due in part to Hailey Bieber and Kate Bosworth, who both already wore the same F/W 22 dress by 16Arlington.

Skirts will, without a shadow of a doubt, play a huge role in our fall wardrobes this year. Mini and maxi styles alone are set to dominate, but there's another silhouette gaining traction for the season that my colleagues and I found prettier and more interesting than the rest of the bunch: full skirts. Reminiscent of those worn in the 1950s, the voluminous A-line skirts found at Brandon Maxwell, Bottega Veneta, and Emilia Wickstead have an inherent vintage and hyper-romantic feel to them, making them a must in any fall wardrobe.

Florals for fall are groundbreaking enough, but tiny floral appliqués? Now that's inventive. Spotted at Coperni, Rodarte, Blumarine, and Alaïa (and those are just the highlights), this 3D trend is heading straight for viral status, especially since Bieber already wore one of Coperni's flower-embellished F/W 22 pieces to a recent Rhode press event.

Translucent clothing is about to hit its prettiest point, mostly thanks to Fendi's F/W 22 collection. Filled with lingerie-like sheer slips and sets, the label's fall offering was designed in pale shades of pink and green and paired with cashmere gloves and furry shawls. Stunning in its simplicity, the translucent trend is going to be huge come September, with the goal being to choose delicate styles and embrace the sheerness of silk and mesh fabrics.

This summer is going to be all about confident, main-character energy, and without a doubt, I will be dressing accordingly. Why wait? I'm starting now with statement looks that range from casual to dressy depending entirely on my mood. But my one non-negotiable is a standout bag that's equal parts versatile and chic.

Meet Lola, the bag every cool girl is either already wearing or will be wearing very soon. I've been wanting to get my hands on this bag ever since I saw Bella Hadid (arguably the CEO of cool girls) wearing one in Burberry's recent campaign. I love the juxtaposition here between the accessories that you may expect to see styled on a beach vacation—a canvas bucket hat and a raffia handbag—and the city-friendly apparel and sneakers. While the natural fabric of this bag does, in fact, make it the perfect accessory for tropical destinations, the gold chain and hardware elevate it enough to pair with everyday looks. Those little white socks and the oversize fit of the button-down and cardigan all add to the casual vibe of this miniskirt look.

I can spot a Burberry check print from a mile away, so I appreciate that it's been incorporated into the quilted pattern on the majority of Lola bags. It's subtle but impactful, as is the sky-blue color of this particular one. The bright hue adds an unexpected cheerful touch to this daytime outfit and complements the pink slides and button-down shirt quite well, too. Please make a mental note of this color combo, and thank me later.

I'm clearly in a miniskirt phase, and I won't apologize for it. This one is part of a matching set inspired by Burberry's iconic trench coats. This look is luxe by nature, so leaning in with the chic white and gold Lola bag and skinny heeled sandals is the way to go. Instead of wearing the bag as a crossbody here, doubling up the straps and styling it as a shoulder bag feels a bit more sophisticated.

This all-black outfit is seriously bold, and that's precisely why I can't stop thinking about it. The fringe dress, the asymmetric jacket, and the heels with built-in stockings make my head spin with excitement. I love the drama of it all, and yet, the black Lola bag manages to stand out thanks to that check quilting, which really pops against the apparel.

Bella Hadid's style is always a step ahead of the pack, especially since she stopped using a stylist.
