The first Monday in May always marks the Met Gala—one of the biggest events in the fashion industry. Aside from the runways, it's a key places editors keep an eye out for inspiration and trends, from the red carpet to the after-parties.

Hunter Schafer wore one of our team's favorite red carpet looks of the night, which was a custom Prada gown inspired by Gustav Klimt's "Mäda Primavesi." Then, for the Saint Laurent after-party at People's Bar in New York City, she changed into a custom dress by emerging British designer Steve O Smith and carried one particular accessory: Prada's Wish Pouch.

That made me think back to the Italian luxury house's S/S 26 runway show, where the bag appeared multiple times throughout the collection, taking an essentials-only approach to dressing: phone, keys, wallet. The silhouette comes in three materials—silk, Re-Nylon, and leather—and in a range of shades including black, gray, orange, blue, brown, and a now-sold-out pink.

Pouches also appeared at Loewe's, Miu Miu's, and Valentino's spring/summer 2026 shows and even at Celine's F/W 26 presentation—a nostalgic eveningwear aesthetic reminiscent of the dainty styles dating back to the late 18th century.

On September 24, 2022, during Milan Fashion Week, former creative director Matthieu Blazy presented his S/S 23 collection for Bottega Veneta and opened the show with two casual trouser looks, each paired with the Andiamo bag. This top-handle bag, with its signature Intrecciato leather and knot detail on the sliding crossbody or shoulder strap, caught the attention of the style set. If there’s one shoe brand I've been noticing editors and influencers wearing the most lately, it’s Tory Burch. Last season may have been the one to capture countless headlines with its many historic designer debuts that shook up the major fashion houses, but the fall/winter 2026 shows are proving to be no less worthy of all the industry chatter. In Milan, there was so much to discuss, including several more designer debuts that demanded their own moment. So no, this season will not be overshadowed, at least if the Italian houses and the collections they're proposing for fall have anything to say about it.

First and perhaps the most buzzed-about was Demna's runway debut at Gucci. Marni was another label that ushered in a new era with the arrival of Belgian designer Meryll Rogge, who's taking the brand back to its quirky, art school–esque roots much to the delight of OG Marni fans. Meanwhile, Simone Bellotti at Jil Sander and Louise Trotter at Bottega Veneta both showed sophomore collections that kept the excitement going from last season's introductions. And who could forget Prada's innovative runway, which showed each look four times, each time discarding a layer to reveal a new element?

Now that the style set has packed up their things and headed to Paris to close out fashion month, let's sit down and discuss everything we just saw from the Milan Fashion Week F/W 26 shows—specifically, the top trends to know.

Collar Pop

The funnel-neck outerwear trend continues to develop, and designers put their stake in the ground as to where the trend will progress in 2026. While full-on funnel-necks are still as chic as ever, the fall collections indicated that soon all the chicest people you know will be wearing their jackets, coats, and blazers with the collars flipped up to create a sort of effortless, DIY-style high neckline.

Louche Layering

If the spring 2025 shows were all about preppy style and prim-and-proper layers, the fall shows took that idea and lived in it a little bit longer. The result is a series of ideas on layering that's much more relaxed, down-to-earth, and, well, how the busy women wearing these looks really get dressed.

Royalty

No need for Pantone—the Milan shows were resolute in their color predictions for fall. The consensus? It's all about purple, specifically this deep violet shade that's often referred to as royal purple. The richer the tone, the easier it becomes to wear, as it's akin to burgundy and therefore ripe for becoming your new fall staple color.

The Skinny on Pants

Designers have teased us with the return of skinny pants for the past few seasons. Although, what's happening on the street in any fashion capital right now tells a different story. But skinny-pant silhouettes seemed to dominate the runways in Milan this week, which has us questioning whether the tides will actually be turning sooner than later. Looks featured trousers that toed the line between pants and leggings (and even tights), and many were styled with boxy blazers and roomy coats to give the overall silhouette a sense of balance.

Low-Pile Fur

While maximalist fur has been a headline of winter style this year, designers are presenting the next gen of fur outerwear for 2026, and instead of bold statement pieces, it's all about a more discreet take on the texture with low-pile fur and calf-hair coats taking center stage.

Sciura Glam

In Milanese slang, the term sciura refers to a specific breed of older woman who can always be spotted dressed to the nines with no detail spared about her outfit. It's such a phenomenon that the Instagram account @sciuraglam documenting these stylish ladies has amassed over 400K followers. Clearly, they were on the minds of Italian designers this season, as calling cards of sciura style can be spotted throughout the fall collections, whether through a statement-coat-and-matching-hat moment or a pair of socks layered with polished pumps. In essence, we'll all be dressing like a fabulous nonna come fall.

Oxford Circus

Is this the death knell to ballet flats? There's no question that flat shoes will continue to remain on top, but as far as fall 2026 is concerned, derby shoes are set to be the It style to know. Designers including Bottega Veneta, Moschino, and Tod's showed minimalist versions of the lace-up flats that arrive with slim soles and glove-like fits, and given 2026's focus on preppy fashion, all signs point to these modern derby shoes becoming big.

Animal Instincts

Animal prints were notably absent from the fall collections, but in their place arrived animal embossing instead. Whether on jackets or boots, croc embossing was a detail that popped up countless times in Milan and while it's hardly a new trend, the finish is set to get a renewed emphasis this year.

The problem with doing something great the first time is that it sets expectations on the ceiling. Fortunately, when you're Louise Trotter, that's not really an issue. The designer—who joined Bottega Veneta in December 2024 after Matthieu Blazy left his seat as creative director to take a new one at Chanel—shocked and awed the crowd at her debut runway show for the house from Vicenza, continuing the groundbreaking work she had started in her former role as creative director of Carven. Mesmerizing fringe was paired with artful uses of Bottega Veneta's signature Intrecciato, crafting (emphasis on the craft part) a collection for women by a woman.

On Saturday, the designer unveiled her much-anticipated second collection for Bottega Veneta at the brand's headquarters in the Palazzo San Fedele, showing a total of 81 looks for both men and women to a crowd that included Lauren Hutton, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Lauryn Hill, Julianne Moore, and Lux Pascal. The men's side was noticeably more tame, a ruffled collar and fringe jacket made of fiberglass being among the most obvious exceptions. For women, the collection felt far more varied, starting with quieter ensembles colored in soft neutrals that leaned heavily on Bottega Veneta's history as a leather-goods house, before developing into louder, more playful looks using the aforementioned fiberglass fringe she debuted for spring/summer 2026. This evolution accurately portrayed the duality of women—casual and laid-back one second and larger-than-life the next, captivating any room. In this case, it was with hot-pink outerwear and a bright-red hat, among other combinations. It also mimicked the duality of Trotter's adopted home of Milan (she's from London but has lived in the city for a year since taking this job), which she described to Vogue and other media outlets backstage as "very brutalist with a sensuality that's a little hidden."

Milan's shows have appeared to be a lot more about storytelling this season than just debuting beautiful clothing, and Prada's show was a lesson in dressing and undressing, peeling off layers as one passes through a day and a life. Bottega Veneta's fall/winter 2026 unveiling shares a similar sense of peeling back, showing the multifaceted nature of places and people. Comparing Look 1 to Look 80 might feel jarring at first glance, but are we to expect our wardrobe to show only one version of ourselves? The quietest or the loudest without any room for change? I would hope not, and the latest Bottega Veneta collection would suggest that Trotter is on my side.

Duality

We saw everything from an elegant, somewhat subdued ensemble fit for a well-dressed Milanese woman to wear throughout the first half of her day—grabbing coffee, chatting with friends, and catching up on work in the office—to a fantastical, furry look for the most special of occasions. That is the breadth of what Trotter debuted in her sophomore collection for Bottega Veneta. The Bottega Veneta woman is not just one thing. She is multifaceted, and her wardrobe should reflect that duality.

Hat Trick

Around 80% of the 81 models who walked in the Bottega Veneta show wore a hat—either a soft, fitted beanie or a coiffeur with a bit more pizzazz covered in shaggy fiberglass or beading that moved in waves like underwater seagrass caught in a current. As we know, women wear many hats, some that demand less from you and others that are more substantial.

Heels Are Out

Though a few pairs of furry heels were sprinkled throughout the 81-look collection, flats dominated, showing up in the form of soft-leather loafers, derbies, and spiky ballet flats, forcing us to wonder how pumps will fall in the shoe rankings come fall 2026. I'll always be a heel person, but a pair of little red moccasins with the teensiest heel might have to come home with me once they're available in stores.

Fall It Bags

Bags will always be Bottega Veneta's bread and butter, so getting them right was always going to be a top priority for Trotter, who already succeeded in this category with flying colors in her first collection and followed it up with a slew of fall It bags for the latter half of this year and into 2027. There was a lot of green—a rich, grassy color that feels new and fresh in a sea of classic black and brown options. Intrecciato was included on clutches, kiss-lock shoulder bags, and patent-leather tote bags, but so were other leather options, like ostrich leather and croc. There were styles for day and night, but all could easily be interchanged, as they are sleek and sophisticated enough to be worn for any occasion.

A Master Class in Textures

Leather has always been Bottega Veneta's signature fabric, something that Trotter leaned heavily into during her first season at the house. For her second go, she began experimenting more with fabrics that looked different than their makeup, tricking attendees of the show and making them look closer (or, in my case, zoom in on the grainiest detail). "An artisanal play of skin on skins brings Bottega Veneta handcraft to mimic fur textures in silks, fil coupé, knitting, and technical fibers, rippling across clothing, jewelry, and shoes," the press release stated. Plexiglass and silk were made to emulate fur and shearling, giving the latter materials, which tend to be stiff and somewhat constraining on the body, a lightness that wearers will certainly appreciate. It was one of those collections that people have to see in person to fully understand—full of surprises as you go beyond just sight to touch and feel each piece.

Though the spring collections have only just launched, one bag has already broken away from the pack. Sleek, understated and supple, the eponymous Veneta bag debuted on the spring/summer 2026 and instantly set the mood for the new season.

My initial response to the Veneta bag was that I knew it. Yes, as a handbag-obsessed editor, I spend a significant amount of time familiarising myself with both new and enduring luxury buys. But this was more than my recognition of its previous launch in 2002. The masterful construction, the circular shape, and the ease of the bag felt incredibly familiar. That's because the Veneta bag feels so fundamentally true to the brand; it instantly feels like a defining piece.

The fact that this bag feels so current and yet has decades of history behind it is a testament to the enduring appeal. Whilst the bag has been redesigned and reconfigured over the years, its overall appeal has remained strong, and, with an understated effect, it’s sure to withstand the moving trends once more. No frills, no logos, no of-the-moment motifs, just a true return to the brand’s heritage that continues to feel relevant year after year.

When it comes to finance and fashion, most of us would agree that our knowledge begins at being able to tell you what the initials IPO stand for, the designers bags worn by Marisa Abela when in costume as Yasmin Kara-Hanani on Industry and being able to quote Carrie Bradshaw when she wrote that “a Prada dress should always be worn with an investment banker”.

However, in the accelerating cost-of-living crisis, there’s certainly been a discernible increase in the valuation of little luxuries, whether it be the Chanel Le Vernis nail polish we buy to save on monthly manicures or the Layla’s Bakery pastry we sweetly treat ourselves to every Saturday morning after a hard week. As a result, there’s been a renewed interest in the best entry-level designer accessories—small leather goods, pouches, bag charms, sunglasses and so forth—as a way to satiate our appetites for luxury items at a more affordable price point.

“These are pieces that allow first-time luxury consumers and customers that have been purchasing for some time who are investing heavily into designer collections to both be a part of the brand, and be a part of the world that that brand creates at a much more attractive price point,” explains Gab Waller, the Los Angeles-based personal shopper and luxury product sourcer.

Having made her reputation in obtaining out-of-stock, incredibly hard-to-find and exceptionally archival designer pieces for the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hailey Bieber and Sofia Richie Grainge, Waller has established herself as a pre-eminent resource for identifying, seeking out and supplying the latest must-have piece. (Chanel purses, Phoebe Philo jackets and Hermès bags, to name a few.)

When asked about the rise in popularity of entry-level designer accessories, Waller tells me that it comes down to two things. “It allows you to be a part of the world of the brand, and it also allows you to create a relationship with that brand,” she adds. “It is very well-known that relationships with your sales assistants will certainly help you get access to the more highly requested and in-demand pieces down the line, so investing in entry-level designer products allows you to tap into the brand whilst also creating a relationship.”

For London-based brand founder and CEO of luxury resale platform Sellier, Hanushka Toni, she tells me that entry-level designer accessories are “a smart and low-pressure way onto the luxury ladder.” Speaking over email, she acknowledges that “whether it’s your first designer treat or a thoughtful add-on to your collection, these pieces deliver craftsmanship, instantly recognisable design, and a touch of brand heritage—all without the scary price tag.”

Of course, it would be remiss for me to boast in such broad strokes about the affordability of products that will still set you back hundreds of pounds. It’s not to say that these pieces are inexpensive by any means of the word, but more accessible than the higher end of the spectrum, which can sometimes reach into the thousands. Better still, these are pieces that will still hold their investment for years to come, knowing that you can invest a small amount of money in and still reap the benefits should you ever choose to part ways with the item later down the line.

So, where to start? “Belts, small leather goods, and compact bags from brands known for their materials and construction tend to age beautifully and hold their appeal,” explains Toni. “Scarves and costume jewellery can be fun entry points, but they’re far more trend-led; well-made leather pieces in timeless shapes simply have more staying power.”

“Look to the brands that have built their reputation on [artistry] first and trends second,” explains Toni. Think back to early 2019. It's January, and Timothée Chalamet has just arrived on the red carpet at the Golden Globes wearing a couture harness by the late Louis Vuitton menswear designer and Off-White founder Virgil Abloh. Now, as we enter a new year, another BDSM-inspired accessory is beginning to take hold.

In the first days of 2026 alone, Jacob Elordi has debuted not one but two leather ties, and both were designed by the actor's close friends at Bottega Veneta. They're subtle, sexy, and luxe in an almost surprising way. An accessory that could easily look, well, tacky is anything but that when done right. It, of course, helps that it was Elordi who wore it, and he combined the leather tie with two custom-tailored suits courtesy of the Italian house's new creative director, Louise Trotter.

Elordi's leather ties have become his signature on the red carpet since 2026 started just a few days ago, but he was slipping them into his rotation before the new year too. Back in October, he wore one to a special screening of his new Guillermo del Toro film, Frankenstein, in New York City. It was black with a subtle shine, and he paired it with a navy-blue double-breasted suit, a gray shirt, and black Intrecciato shoes, all from Bottega Veneta. He finished off the look with red-tinted sunglasses—the same pair he wore at last night's Critics Choice Awards.

On January 3, Elordi kicked off award season in Palm Springs at the 37th annual Palm Springs International Film Awards, where he once again wore Bottega Veneta. This time, he donned a custom-made single-breasted suit in a soft oat that was very appropriate for the event's location. What was less expected for Palm Springs was his Fondant leather tie, which only made the accessory more buzzworthy.

Finally, at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles, Elordi arrived in all black (apart from his ever-present red eyewear), pairing his black leather tie with another custom suit—a double-breasted style with hidden buttons—which he wore with a black shirt, Intrecciato shoes, and tiny gold hoop earrings. Everything, of course, was tailored to perfection, and his leather tie offered just the right amount of texture and depth to the otherwise void-like ensemble.

With award season just beginning, I have a feeling this won't be the last time we spot Elordi in a leather tie, especially given how much attention Frankenstein and his portrayal of the titular character are receiving. If the accessory's impact is as dominant as Chalamet's famed bib, we'll likely spot it on others before the run of award shows ends with the Oscars all the way in March.

As a handbag-obsessed editor, I’ve spent years analysing the trajectory of rising new styles, delving into pieces that have held It titles for decades, and most recently, digging deep into returning icons. By now, it’s clear that 2025 is the year of the returning It bag; from Chloé’s Paddington to Fendi’s Spy bag, and with this nostalgic trend set to continue into 2026, I’m predicting that the Bottega Veneta Campana will be even more illustrious in 2026.

This year has been defined by nostalgia, with luxury brands digging into the archives to unearth icons that still translate to the present day. What sets these luxury designers apart is their heritage. The decades of expertise and iconography that have formed along the way have ensured their status as the best designer brands. Amongst them is Bottega Veneta, which celebrates its rich history with the return of the Campana.

Our reintroduction to the Campana came earlier this year, though the bag has had a slight update to bring it back to the present day. First released in the spring of 2004, the bag was ahead of its time for its pared-back appeal and understated look, a striking contrast to the bold logomania of the ‘90s, but perfectly aligned with the trends of the new millennium, which were focused upon craftspersonship, hardware accents and tactile detailing. To celebrate Who What Wear UK's 10th birthday, we had to take a look back at the most iconic fashion week moments that have captivated us over the past decade. Over the years, we've seen it all, having attended countless runway shows in London, Paris, Milan and New York, reviewed numerous collections and revelled in (and shopped!) the biggest trends each season brought. What fun!

Our all-seeing fashion eye has picked apart every show from 2015 till now, and we've curated the best-of list. From the return of '90s supermodels at Versace to an endless pink runway at Jacquemus and seeing double at Gucci, there have been so many jaw-dropping moments, but only 10 could make the cut. It's not up for debate: these are the 10 most iconic runway shows of the past 10 years. Let's get into it!

The 10 Most Iconic Fashion Runways from the Past Decade

1. Chanel A/W 17

Karl Lagerfeld's tenure at Chanel delivered so many iconic moments, and one of the most impressive shows in recent memory was staged at Paris's famous Grand Palais. From a hyper-real supermarket to a man-made beach and an Arctic landscape to a Parisienne brasserie, nothing was too ambitious for Lagerfeld's wild imagination. Our favourite, however, was the space-station set for the women's autumn/winter 2017 show, complete with a Chanel-emblazoned rocket ship, which seemingly took off through the ceiling as models wore NASA-inspired looks. Think silver glittery boots, classic boucle twin sets and galaxy-print dresses as Elton John's "Rocket Man" played through the speakers. Beyond!

2. Versace S/S 18

Donatella Versace is undoubtedly one of the most legendary figures in fashion. For the House of Versace's spring/summer 2018 show, she honoured her late brother and House founder, Gianni, presenting a collection that played to his iconic prints, use of gold and sexy silhouettes; with a finale that saw a whole host of supermodels pay homage. Striding down the runway herself, Versace was joined by Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen, harking back to George Michael's hit song "Freedom! '90" and its accompanying music video, in which many of these supers featured. Nothing will ever come close to this heartfelt and special moment.

3. Jacquemus S/S 20

Simon Porte Jacquemus started his eponymous label in 2009, dedicated to his late mother. The virility of his designs skyrocketed him into mainstream popularity, with playful handbags, enormous hats and skin-revealing ready-to-wear. For his spring/summer 2020 show, the brand's 10th anniversary collection, Jacquemus staged a co-ed runway show within the lavender fields of the French countryside, a couple of miles from his childhood home. Models strutted down a seemingly endless carpet of fuchsia pink, flanked by rows of purple lavender—both hues are synonymous with the brand. Mixing colour-pop brights, muted neutrals, printed scenic landscapes and watercolour florals, the show and its collection were completely and utterly striking and cemented Jacquemus' place in the fashion, social and pop-culture spaces. Needless to say, we were tickled pink!

4. Loewe A/W 22

Since Jonathan Anderson took the creative director reins at Loewe in 2013, with a tenure lasting a whopping 11 years, things were never again the same. Embuing art, craft and high-concept design into all of his collections for the House, the Irish designer has not only become a (fashion) household name, but has managed to firmly place Loewe at the top of the list of the most desirable designer labels of now. For the brand's spring/ summer 2022 show, he employed surrealist shapes, extreme drapery, backwards-worn garments and high-shine metal breastplates. Accessories, too, tapped into pop-art themes, with heels resembling roses, birthday-cake candles and broken eggs. Not only was this collection extremely directional, forward-thinking and fun, but it was also super wearable. Kendall Jenner gave this it serious celebrity kudos when she was famously spotted in one of the jersey tank dresses, with an all-over digital print of fuzzy colours.

5. Miu Miu S/S 22

When Miu Miu launched its spring/summer 2022 collection, you couldn't walk a mile without seeing one of its looks on the cover of every magazine on the stands of your local newsagent or supermarket. The collection was applauded for its preppy suiting, poplin shirts, cable knits, pleated twill skirts and flashes of logo-adornded lingerie, many pieces of which were slashed and cut to show off abs, legs and undies, in typical bad-school-girl style. Mixing sexiness, structure, sportiness and pretty 3-D florals, this collection was a Miuccia classic. This is where the much-hyped New Balance sneaker collab was previewed, which has since become every influencer's favourite off-duty trainer of choice. Now, everyone, "Thank you, Mrs Prada!"

6. Bottega Veneta S/S 23

Matthieu Blazy had a brief but successful three-year stint at Bottega Veneta before moving to the powerhouse that is Chanel. His spring/summer 2023 show at Bottega was truly spectacular, tapping artist and architect Gaetano Pesce to craft a kaleidoscopic poured-resin floor and handmake around 400 unique chairs for guests, all of which have become collector's items. Some of the standout looks from the collection appeared quite simple and understated, but a closer look revealed many pieces crafted from soft, luxurious leather for a trompe-l'œil effect. Kate Moss's normcore outfit, consisting of a plaid shirt, white tank and jeans, also played with deception by tapping into the craving for quiet luxury at the time in an unexpected way. The look remains a mainstay on every fashion enthusiast's mood board to this day.

7. Gucci S/S 23

Only Alessandro Michele could send 68 pairs of identical twins down a runway. Yes, you read that correctly! Never one to miss an opportunity for theatricality and the wow-factor, Michele's time at Gucci was full of jaw-dropping moments that no one else could re-create if they tried (see the Aria, Love Parade and Cosmogonie collections). The Twinsburg show of spring/summer 2023 stunned guests and fans alike. Models took to the runway in typical Michele fashion (think decadent prints, pussy-bows, monogram handbags, '80s suiting and bucket-loads of sequins)—but double it. Only at the show's finale did the curtain rise to reveal the paired looks and their twin models, who came together in single file holding hands. Inspired by Michele's mother and her twin sister, this show was mesmerising and mind-bogglingly good.

8. Simone Rocha S/S 24

Simone Rocha debuted her eponymous line at London Fashion Week in September 2010. 15 years on, and the label is still one of the biggest, most exciting moments on the fashion month calendar, and always the hottest ticket in town. Known for her subversive yet pretty collections, full of pearl, ribbon and lace adornments, Rocha has become a celebrity favourite, with the likes of Alexa Chung, Bel Powley and Fiona Shaw lining up to wear her collections on the red carpet and have their turn on the runway for her. The spring/summer 2024 show featured pink roses throughout, some held by models and some sewn into the bodices of dresses. Sarah Jessica Parker wore a dress-and-coat ensemble from this very collection in an episode of And Just Like That..., further cementing Rocha's merit in the fashion sphere and wider public eye.

9. Maison Margiela S/S 24

Celebrated designer John Galliano's final show at Maison Margiela, after 10 years as creative director at the esteemed house, was the talking point of many a fashion and beauty group chat for weeks after it was presented. A little X-rated and a lot of exoticism (Galliano's potent combination), models danced, staggered and gingerly stepped through the underbelly of Paris's streets, inspired by the images of Hungarian–French photographer Brassaï. The haute couture spring/ summer 2024 collection featured corsets, sheer dresses and 1920s doll-like suits, with Pat McGrath's famous painterly makeup set with a spray lacquer to give a high-shine, glass-skin finish. Gwendoline Christie's marionette-like walk for the finale look was like poetry in motion. Truly unforgettable.

10. Saint Laurent S/S 25

Anthony Vaccarello has been nothing short of a hit-maker for Saint Laurent since his spring/summer 2017 debut, crafting a vision which is at once sexy, desirable and classic. It has become one of the most illustrious, trend-setting brands on the planet, and celebs and shoppers can't get enough. The spring/summer 2025 show meant serious business, with an array of sharp, exaggerated suits, complete with shirts, ties and '80s eyewear, resembling the brand's famed founder, Yves. Nostalgic but modern, dapper but wearable, stars such as Elsa Hosk and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have since been spotted wearing these ensembles, fresh from the runway. Bella Hadid's black suit-and-tie combo was a standout, serving classic power suit. Hot!

By the end of each runway season, I'm usually brimming with styling ideas and an ever-growing wish list of designer items. But after the spring/summer 2026 shows, one, in particular, seemed to occupy most of the space in my sartorial brain. In the span of 76 looks, Louise Trotter's debut collection for Bottega Veneta has completely impacted the way I want to get dressed, both immediately for the remainder of 2025 and in the season ahead, when I will finally be able to shop her S/S 26 creations.

Ahead, discover some of my takeaways from the show, including the spring color trends I can't wait to wear and how I plan to style them with pieces in my own closet.

WHITE ON WHITE

Ever since Michael Rider’s debut at Celine, I’ve been craving a soft white shoe to pair with everything, and this Bottega collection just intensified that need. (In fact, I bought these Phoebe Philo flats immediately after the show.) Another intense desire that solidified was for more texture, particularly white-on-white or monochrome textural layering. Craft has been a strong theme among luxury houses in the return of maximalism (or more so “simple with impact,” as Phoebe Philo’s viral quote so eloquently put it). I think there has been a collective boredom with quiet luxury and “elevated essentials,” but many of us are not ready to be full-blown maximalists just yet. Texture feels like a natural step in that direction—slowly turning up the volume on our dressing (both literally and figuratively). I love how Trotter paired summery poplins with feathers usually reserved for holidays and how heavy, textural knits were balanced with simple, lightweight trousers. I picked up these Colleen Allen cotton pants that I’ll wear with chunky knits and perhaps this Dries clutch. I also scored this ruffled McQueen top to pair back to simple ivory trousers.

NAVY EVERYTHING

I’m resisting the urge to declare “navy is the new brown” (because brown will obviously still be around and actually looks great as a companion to navy, as evident in several of Bottega Veneta's S/S 26 looks), but there’s no denying that navy was the star of the show. Once again, the textural layering of navy on navy made one of the strongest arguments for how we should be dressing next season. What particularly pushed me to start an immediate shopping search, though, were the navy bags. I don’t know that I’ve ever considered a navy bag, but now I need one desperately. This Liffner clutch and Loewe bag are currently holding top spots on my wish list.

GRAY AS THE ULTIMATE NEUTRAL

We’ve seen gray on the runway countless times, but there’s something about how Trotter presented it—playing with pops of yellow, beige, and camel—that made it feel so fresh and desirable. It’s also a very specific, cool-tone gray. The coolness paired with these warmer neutrals is what really sang for me. I plan to re-create this immediately with pieces I already own, and I have my eyes on that same Dries clutch in gray or this Khaite bag to help get the job done.

PINK + MAUVE + BURGUNDY

When this mauve suit walked down the runway, punctuated with that gorgeous pink pony-hair clutch I never knew I needed, I literally gasped. The pale-blue button-down peeking out from underneath was just icing on the cake. I had already been on a hunt for more burgundy this fall, but now mauve and pink have entered the chat to play alongside. I just might invite pale blue to make a guest appearance as well.

POPS OF GREEN AND YELLOW

On the same note of color inspo, Trotter’s use of green and yellow throughout the show should be taught in color theory courses. She used both shades like they were neutrals, and now I want to do the same. I will be pulling out my trusty butter-yellow Jil Sander sweater, which I usually reserve for spring, to pair with more neutral wintry looks. I’m also already on the hunt for a bag in the perfect shade of green. These yellow pumps from Bernadette are also calling my name (as are the gray).

To me, no handbag collection is complete without a clutch bag. Just like the blue jeans and cosy jumpers that feature in our capsule wardrobe, certain handbag styles can be relied upon to bolster our outfits throughout the seasons. A spacious tote bag is one example, the kind of bag that can be laden down with all your essentials, and plenty more, whether heading to the office or on a trip abroad. But when stylish people want a sleek and sophisticated bag to accompany their looks, it's this clutch that they reach for.

Over the past few years, one clutch bag in particular has risen to the top, spotted across the world in the hands of stylish women. Whether accenting an elegant evening outfit or simply carrying daily essentials, it's the Bottega Veneta Andiamo Clutch that brings a refined finish to polished looks.

The Andiamo Clutch was first unveiled on the spring/summer 2023 runway, becoming the smallest bag in the Andiamo collection. Joining the tote bags, the clutch offered a new style along with a bold east-west silhouette, and joined Bottega's ever-growing roster of standout bags. As a pared-back design, one of the most striking features of the Clutch is its distinctive shape. Intrinsically elegant in its form, it's a bag that immediately evokes a sense of sophistication.

The clutch in question has set itself apart for a series of reasons. The first distinctive feature is the top handle. Whilst most clutches are strapless in design, Bottega Veneta's style offers the versatility of tucking under the arm or carrying in hand, as well as toting by the top handle if desired. As a mainstay in Bottega Veneta's bag collection, the clutch features the iconic intrecciato weave technique that has become a distinguishing motif for the brand. Void of bold logos or monogramming, this woven leather treatment identifies the bag's luxurious origins in the most understated way. Further accented by the metal knot, which acts as the closure of the bag, even without branding, those in the know are well aware of its luxury origins.

Whilst the elegance of the clutch bag can easily translate to evening, I've spotted so many fashion people pairing their Andiamo Clutch bags with more everyday looks. From simple T-shirts and jeans to blouses and tailored trousers, it's a bag that brings instant elevation to any outfit.

With each passing ensemble, the former Carven and Lacoste creative director proved just how safe the brand is in her very talented hands.

In total, Trotter's Bottega Veneta debut included 76 looks for both men and women. There were loud, playful ensembles made of mesmerizing fringe as well as classic, sophisticated combinations made special by specific details, like an Intrecciato collar, knot cuff links, and padded shoulders. Tailoring, one of Trotter's many specialties, was evident throughout the coed collection, and future It bags, like the iconic Lauren, were reinvented for the spring. The collection was a commercial hit and a creative masterpiece. Successfully achieving both is never easy, especially on the first go, yet that's exactly what Trotter did for spring/summer 2026.

Louise Trotter Makes History at Bottega Veneta

On Saturday, September 27, 2025, Trotter became the first-ever female creative director at Bottega Veneta. With so few female designers at the helm of fashion's biggest brands, this is no small feat and is surely something to celebrate. Interestingly, when she joined Lacoste in 2018, following her role as creative director at Joseph, she became the first female creative director there as well. (Trotter exited the French sportswear label in early 2023.) After leaving Lacoste, she was hired as the creative director at French fashion house Carven, where she completely reinvented the brand and made it into one of Paris's most talked-about labels in just two years. Now, at Bottega Veneta, she's continuing to break boundaries and design clothes (and more) that women want to wear.

Intrecciato Everywhere

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Bottega Veneta's signature Intrecciato weaving technique, so naturally, Trotter chose to display it everywhere in her first collection for the brand. The overlapping design feature was always going to be seen on bags and even shoes, but for spring/summer 2026, it also showed up all over the ready-to-wear offering in big, obvious ways and some subtle ones. We saw it hidden inside jacket flaps and sewn into Bermuda shorts (a rare non-leather version that opens up a whole new world of possibilities) as well as on removable collars and bandanas. And then there were the allover Intrecciato moments on patent-leather coats adorned with feather collars, all-white matching sets, and a navy pencil skirt with an uneven hem. Blazy included the weave in apparel as well, but not like this, and I, for one, can't wait to see what other ways Trotter will introduce it.

All the Bags

Fashion people often say that, for a designer to be successful at a major house, they have to be able to design sellable pieces, namely bags and shoes. Trotter did both in her debut at Bottega Veneta, and the former proved especially strong. Not only were some of the brand's most popular styles reinvented, like the Cabat and the Lauren, but Trotter also showcased new bag options, like a crocodile open-top tote and dopp kits for women, styled smashingly with lingerie-like dresses for a perfect bit of contrast. East-west clutches and slouchy shoulder bags alike will be dangerously buyable come spring.

A Study in Contrasts

Bottega Veneta's S/S 26 collection was anything but straightforward. It was an amalgamation of different textures and feelings that all somehow fit together with ease. Classic shirting was paired with multicolored fringe skirts and clogs, mixing the brand's playful look from the past few years with a sense of practicality. Menswear tailoring and bags (particularly dopp kits) were leveled out with dresses made of both leather and lightweight taffeta. Trench coats were made interesting with Intrecciato details, and simple pumps got an upgrade with shearling and PVC. Sporty sunglasses, furry bags, tinsel jackets and skirts, and elegant kiss-lock bags all joined forces to create an air of messy perfection that just worked.

Hard Launch

In the months between the announcement that Trotter would be Blazy's successor and her first show for the brand, the designer dropped a few hints at what her vision for Bottega Veneta would look like. In other words, she soft-launched her creations—mostly on the red carpet. There was Julianne Moore's simple black gown for The Phoenician Scheme's premiere at Cannes Film Festival, which featured a subtle, fringe-like detail on one shoulder that mirrors all the fringe on today's runway. Then there was Vicky Krieps's burgundy Intrecciato top that she wore to the Love Me Tender photo-call at Cannes. It was styled with perfectly crisp white, oversize trousers and gold earrings, but the star was the backless woven top, a detail I already said was a huge part of Trotter's debut. Now that we've seen her first full collection, it's clear how these red carpet moments tied into her vision for the brand and the season ahead.

The Bottega Veneta Woman

At Saturday's show, Hollywood greats like Moore, Uma Thurman, and Michelle Yeoh showed their support for Trotter and Bottega Veneta while dressed in the brand from head to toe. Both Yeoh and Moore donned denim for the occasion, though they opted for different washes (Yeoh in black and Moore in classic blue), and Thurman chose a long, tailored tuxedo coat with satin lapels, pairing it with gold earrings, open-toe mules, and a Parachute bag. Moore went bag-free, and Yeoh carried a sea salt–colored Campana. The best guest of all? Lauren Hutton, who attended the show carrying her original Lauren bag, which the actress famously carried in the 1980 cult classic American Gigolo. Together, they painted a picture of today's Bottega Veneta woman: confident, chic, and, most of all, undeniably cool.

Very few fashion brands can be identified specifically for their craftsmanship, as opposed to their logo. An emblem on a handbag's flap or an embroidered name on the front of a tank top are two common giveaways—signifiers that something is of designer quality. At Bottega Veneta, however, a 50-year-old technique for weaving some of the longest-lasting and most durable accessories in the industry replaces the role of both logo and brand name. The fashion house from Vicenza doesn't need to say a word to identify itself—people can spot its signature Intrecciato design from a mile away.

Bottega Veneta was founded by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro in 1966, with the duo opening their leather goods workshop in the northeastern Italian region of Veneto. Less than a decade later, they introduced the Intrecciato practice in 1975, forever changing fashion history. The technique, which is still used today, involved weaving leather strips called fettucce around a wooden mold. It was invented by the brand as a solution since sewing machines at the time could not stitch through the thick leather Bottega Veneta used in its designs, resulting in softer silhouettes that were still made to last.

Eliza's review: I'm not only a huge fan of the Andiamo style, in general, but also Bottega Veneta's Fondant colorway. I actually own the traditional Andiamo in the small size in this same deep-brown shade, and find it to be my most versatile handbag, especially because of its many handle options, from crossbody to top handle to shoulder bag. It gets so much use, in fact, that I've genuinely considered getting a second version, and when this East-West iteration debuted, I knew just the one I wanted. This longer, horizontal shape is beyond chic and instantly makes any outfit look more stylish and put-together. It has all kinds of compartments inside, so I never lose anything, and I love the option to hold it from below like a clutch. IYKYK.

Kristen's review: The Dustbag is a great convertible piece that can function as a shoulder bag when the strings are pulled tight and the leather loop is attached, but also changes shape to a flat clutch when the drawstrings are open. There's really no end to the possibilities with this piece—it's a true day-to-night bag that can change as your setting and plans do.

Eliza's review: This bag has been on my wish list since I first laid eyes on it. In fact, I was seconds away from buying one in this Sea Salt colorway more than a year ago in Monaco. (Unfortunately, when I went back the next day to pay, the Monaco Grand Prix had caused my route to the boutique to close, so my plan was spoiled.) I've thought about it regularly ever since. I was never really a clutch person before this East-West top-handle arrived on the scene, always finding them useless for someone like me, who doesn't attend a ton of formal events. What I fell for with this style is how versatile it is. It can just as easily be styled for a bridal brunch as a casual day of errands, paired with a faded tee and vintage denim. Inside, there are a number of card slots, so you don't have to waste space on a wallet, and I easily fit all my many lip pencils, glosses, and blushes, as well as my iPhone (a Pro, I might add). One of my coworkers, Ana Escalante, actually bought this for her upcoming wedding, a genius move, I must say.

Kristen's review: One specific bag has been topping my wish list since its release: the Bottega Veneta Andiamo tote. It's finished in BV's iconic Intrecciato woven leather and signature knotted hardware. With a top handle as well as a longer strap, the design makes it versatile to hold by hand or slung over the shoulder. The rope accessory trend owes its origins to Miuccia Prada who, for Miu Miu’s spring/summer 2024 collection, paraded a series of twine trinkets down the Paris Fashion Week catwalk. “Prototypical ideas of clothing hold significance,” the luxury brand wrote at the time in the collection presentation’s accompanying press release. To translate, Miu Miu showcased a range that reversed pieces to their essence.

“Garments devised for specific purposes, functions and events are here remixed in unanticipated combinations,” they added, explaining the rationale for pairing labelled polo shirts with bubble skirts and sandals that look more in place on a river bed than they do on the runway.

I'm very much team wear whatever you want whenever you want, but I'm just not a fan of suede shoes in the summer. The first lick of sun on my skin makes me think about what I'm going to wear once the down jackets, gloves and bonnets are no longer required. Does my handbag collection need a refresh? Is there a new jacket silhouette that will really work hard in my capsule wardrobe? What will I wear to work once the cashmere roll-necks have been prised from my body?

For me, spring is one of the most enjoyable times of year to shop, and it always feels like a great moment to make a few key investments. The last of the winter sale detritus has been cleared out and the stores are freshly stocked with new-season designer drops, showcasing high-fashion's vision for how we'll dress for the months ahead. And in terms of outfitting potential, spring and autumn are fashion’s favourite seasons for a reason: they allow us to flex our styling muscles by layering lightweight jackets, delicate knits and trending trousers, but without the cold-weather necessities of warmth and comfort. It's all about lighter fabrics, bare ankles and fresh looks.

That said, whilst I relish the return of more playful dressing, whenever I'm looking at higher-ticket items, longevity is front of mind. Will I love this piece for years, or better yet, decades to come? Can I see myself mending it and passing it to a family member when it’s well-worn? Does the design have a timelessness I'm unlikely to tire of?

So, I hit the luxury stores on Sloane Street and Bond Street in London to try on everything from the spring collections I thought might fit the brief: excellent-quality items with considered designs that feel current but aren't about to go out of style anytime soon. If I were about to make some investments—and make no mistake, these pieces come with price tags that require serious consideration—the following is what I would buy.

1. Saint Laurent Tailoring

My Review: Suits and ties have been bubbling away as a trend for several seasons now, but it was arguably the stellar spring/summer 2025 Saint Laurent collection Anthony Vaccarello showed back in September that really put "boyish" tailoring on our radars. The image of Bella Hadid sauntering the runway in a black, double-breasted wool suit, white shirt, black wide tie and tinted shades became one of the most-shared from the season and bumped Saint Laurent tailoring to the top of my wish list.

Just as Bottega Veneta is known for its leather and Chanel for its bouclé, Saint Laurent, the brand which invented tuxedos for women (with founder Yves Saint Laurent’s Le Smoking), is famous for its tailoring. And the suits you’ll find in Saint Laurent stores this spring are truly some of the best we've been treated to in years. The Bordeaux-coloured double-breasted wool suit I tried was look 19 from the S/S 25 runway, and the moment I put it on, I understood why people wax lyrical about Saint Laurent suiting.

The jacket is power-shouldered but there’s an ever-so-slight cinch at the waist to give it a softer, more "feminine" shape. I felt instantly confident and put-together without feeling swamped by fabric. The jacket is long enough that you could wear it over a black minidress for a date-night look, ensuring maximum cost-per-wear.

The trousers are my favourite part of the ensemble. They’re super wide and yet so expertly cut that they’re really flattering; the double-pleat front gathers into a nipped-in waist trim enough that you could also wear them separately with a bodysuit and heels for a dinner outfit. I am 5’9”, and they were a bit too long on me even when I tried them with 11cm heels, so I expect most would need a tailor to take some of the length off—a service Saint Laurent offers in-store, but you could do it more affordably elsewhere. The same suit also comes in grey, taupe and black, but the store I visited had just one sample as the pieces have only just launched.

In terms of the rest of the look, the shirt is lovely and soft but probably not worth its £860 price tag. I think with a bit of a trawl online you’d find something that would do equally as well for a fraction of the price. The colours of the tie go perfectly with the burgundy hue, and it’s made of beautiful silk. I’m sure you could style the suit just as well with a tie from your local charity shop, but if you’re looking for an easy full look, then I’d say the price of the tie is reasonable given the quality.

2. Bottega Veneta Andiamo Tote

My Review: When it comes to investing in a designer handbag, I am personally most interested in the pieces that will still feel relevant and beautiful 10, 20 or even 50 years from now. Designers produce several bag styles each season; some are Instagram catnip, some have more longevity and some you just know are destined to become a future classic. That’s exactly what happened when Matthieu Blazy debuted the Andiamo as part of his sophomore collection for Bottega in September 2022.

Meticulously crafted from fine calf leather in the Bottega Veneta atelier, the Andiamo—which means "let’s go" in Italian—uses the intrecciato leather technique (a brand signature) and is the perfect everyday bag. The original is similar in size to that of a Birkin, although much less rigid and it will fit a 13" laptop, making it great for the occasional commute. I love that the boxy top-handle design is smart enough for meetings whilst the bag has a slouchy element that gives it a super-chic nonchalance. It’s also very versatile; the leather rope with knotted metal hardware that loops through several holes on the upper can be rejigged to make a shoulder strap or a crossbody, and can even be removed entirely to be worn as a belt.

The Andiamo now comes in a smaller and larger size, an east-west silhouette and a clutch, but I’m drawn to the proportions of the original, which feels timeless. I fell for the deep tobacco-brown colour because it's deep and dark and thus will go with everything, but it feels more interesting and luxe than black. The brand has also just released the bag in an ecru colour that would be gorgeous with summer whites.

3. Toteme Jeans

My Review: Okay, so this one is a recent discovery for me, but as a tall girl, the 34" leg length of Toteme denim is an absolute game-changer. I am always struggling to find jeans long enough in the leg, with so many brands nailing everything about the fit but then flailing at my ankle. All of Toteme’s jeans are excellent; the denim is non-stretch, the fits are bang on the money, and I think the quality is exceptionally good compared to some other denim in the £250-300 price bracket. They come in regular lengths too, so it's not just tall women who are catered for.

I already have a pair of Toteme’s classic-cut, full-length jeans in black (which I rarely take off), and I've just added this twisted-seam pair in raw denim to my wish list. I love that the dark, almost silvery-blue feels utilitarian but also quite polished and that the fit is baggy in the leg but tight-ish on the bum. The store assistant did warn me that the raw finish means the denim is untreated, so the indigo colour could transfer onto a pale top or coat, which is definitely something to bear in mind. If you’re worried, opt for the worn blue, grey or black wash instead. I’m also in the market for a low-rise, straight-cut pair to wear in summer with a white tank and ballet flats.

4. Chanel Ballet Flats

My Review: The ballet-flat trend isn’t going anywhere, and when it comes to investing in a classic pair, it makes sense to turn to Chanel, whose cult ballet flats have been a go-to amongst everyone from editors to A-listers and endlessly chic older women, long before Miu Miu’s satin flats pirouetted onto the runway back in February 2022.

The shape of the Chanel ballet flat is dainty and classic, and the contrast-toe tip is a much-copied detail that’s become synonymous with the brand. I am personally drawn to the simpler black styles—this leather-and-patent-leather pair in particular. The all-black quilted style is also super chic, but I found the fabric was so much softer that it felt a little baggy at the sides of the foot. Lots of people say Chanel ballet flats are uncomfortable; I think it probably depends on your foot shape, so it’s best to try them in-store before you buy, and they definitely require a little breaking-in.

The ballet flats run small, so if you’re between sizes, take half a size up. Also, remember to try them on how you're most likely to wear them; I initially tried them with pop socks and they kept slipping off, then once I lost the socks, the bigger size stayed on perfectly and was more comfortable.

I was walking through the Who What Wear office in New York the other day when a co-worker of mine stopped me in my tracks. She knew right away what bag was on my shoulder and needed to see it up close. It's at the top of her wish list—hell, it's on the wish lists of everyone I saw during New York Fashion Week. We ogled it together for a good five minutes before I had to run to a show across town, where three more people inquired about it. Clearly, I've been carrying 2025's most-wanted handbag, and since I'm not one to gatekeep, I'm here to share every last detail about the designer experience.

The bag in question is one of Matthieu Blazy's final creations for Bottega Veneta. Named the Ciao Ciao, it's the latest addition to the beloved Andiamo family. It comes in two sizes—regular and large—and a variety of colors, including neutral Barolo and Black as well as spring-ready Rose and Matcha. It recently debuted in the Italian fashion brand's summer 2025 campaign, which went viral on social media for its upbeat, fun, and overall positive energy that doesn't exist across the fashion landscape these days. Its name reflects this same light, joyful air: "Ciao ciao" is used in Italian to say both "hello" and "goodbye" as a relaxed and playful way to greet and send off loved ones. This bag should be by your side in these exact moments, accompanying you as you travel to and from beautiful destinations.

Ahead of NYFW, I received an email about the bag. It was coming out soon, and as the proud owner of an original Andiamo bag, I knew I had to compare and contrast the styles in person. Bottega Veneta was kind enough to loan me one to do just that, so I put it to good use during one of the busiest weeks of my year. For six days, I loaded my Ciao Ciao with everything under the sun, from water bottles and green juices to phone chargers, snack bars, headphones, sunglasses, and more. I carried it with the long crossbody strap for a hands-free experience; tried out different handle methods with the bag's braided, brass hardware–clad shoulder strap; and enjoyed the classic top-handle option. I even went as far as to tote it around like a very large clutch purse, using none of the handles at all.

Day one: The thing I appreciated immediately upon receiving the Ciao Ciao Bag and exploring it was how truly practical it is. I find this to be true with most Bottega Veneta bags, which often feature multiple strap options and a bevy of internal storage. To my count, this specific bag can be carried four different ways: from its top handle, with the attached crossbody strap, on your shoulder when you adjust the braided straps to fit, and handheld. Honestly, there could be even more options that I didn't even think of. It has two main compartments on the inside of the bag, which is completely made of suede other than one zippered pocket woven using the brand's intrecciato technique for a IYKYK touch. Suffice it to say, I wasn't running low on storage space. Most days during fashion week, I had my bag stuffed Jane Birkin style with paper show notes, little bags of Happier Grocery almonds, extra eyewear, and a dozen different cords and devices. On the outside, though, you'd never know it. In fact, the Ciao Ciao looks even better full than it does empty.

I remember when the first day of NYFW felt quiet, but this season, it was one of my craziest, most jam-packed days because of all the previews, appointments, cocktail parties, and dinners. Funnily enough, I only had one actual show, and it was all the way at the end of the night. I didn't sit down the entire day and traveled from the Upper West Side where I live to Bryant Park, FiDi, East Village, NoMad, SoHo, Brooklyn Navy Yard, and back again, and those are just the locations I can remember off the top of my head. I basically lived out of my Ciao Ciao Bag.

I styled it for the day with a leather blazer worn on top of a navy-blue cashmere cardigan from Tibi that I paired with a white tank top and a sheer midi skirt. It rained all day long. Fortunately, I had an umbrella tucked inside my Ciao Ciao Bag for whenever I needed it.

Day three: These photos were taken midway through the week the morning after the snowstorm in NYC. I needed gloves, an umbrella, and more protection against the elements, and the Ciao Ciao Bag provided storage for all of it. The envelope-style zippered pocket inside became home to my keys, wallet, and lip balm, keeping me from having to dig through the many items I packed for the day anytime I had to stop home to change or work or pay for a coffee. (This is a very frequent activity for me.)

I picked the black version of the bag because I knew it would be the easiest option to style in multiple ways in a short period, and that proved to be a spot-on assessment. Here, I wore it with a leather blazer and pencil skirt, knee-high suede stiletto boots, and a short brown fur coat on top for added warmth. It went with the look perfectly. I'm not just saying that—fans of the bag, of which there were many this week, told me so.

Day five: One thing I often think about when considering which handbags to purchase is what I need them for. Is it an evening bag? A daytime tote? Do I need it to somehow be both? Usually, the answer is the latter. Handbags are expensive these days, so I want my bags to kind of do it all—a tall order, I know. This also isn't exactly a quality you can find out about a bag just from looking at it online. You need to be able to style it with nighttime outfits and daytime ones and see if it fits in both categories, which is why I was so grateful to be able to test out the Ciao Ciao during NYFW. My outfits for the week were formal for the most part, but I was also working, so I needed a bag that does both. This bag does both.

Here, I styled it with a brown, cream, and black color palette, including a brown Fforme car coat, cashmere sweater, and sheer tights; a cream Sportmax skirt; and black The Row heels and Jimmy Fairly sunglasses. The outfit took me from a morning show to a fancy dinner out without any need for even minor adjustments. Though, I probably could have pulled that off given the extra storage space in my Ciao Ciao.

Day six: On the final day of fashion week, I had a million errands to run in between the last few shows, so I needed the Ciao Ciao Bag to work double time for me. I will say that I wish my laptop could have fit inside, but it is an old MacBook Pro, so maybe that's on me. (Maybe I should have opted for the large Ciao Ciao that does fit a laptop and so, so much more, according to another fashion-week attendee.) I styled it over my shoulder this time so I had plenty of hand freedom to hold as many coffees as I could find, grabbing one at the Blue Bottle across the street from the Kallmeyer show followed by another inside the actual show space. Though the shoulder strap looks thin, the braided technique makes it feel surprisingly strong and sturdy, so I didn't have to worry about filling my bag up like I might with other bags on the market. It also didn't dig into my shoulder at all.

Since it was the last day, I styled my bag pretty simply, wearing two layered Kallmeyer tees underneath a cinch-waist leather jacket with black Gucci trousers and white loafers from Maryam Nassir Zadeh's collaboration with J.Crew. The Ciao Ciao Bag gave my otherwise pared-back look a strong focus point, which real fashion people know is the sign of a great, buy-worthy handbag.

Paris Fashion Week is here, and naturally, Kendall Jenner's already debuted multiple faultless ensembles since touching down in the French fashion capital. The model, who walked in Schiaparelli's Haute Couture show on Monday, was first spotted the evening prior, wearing Bottega Veneta from head to toe while exiting The Ritz hotel to head out to dinner at Loulou, a beloved restaurant inside the Arts Décoratifs Museum.

For her first night in Paris, Jenner wore look 37 from Bottega Veneta's Resort 2025 collection by Matthieu Blazy, the brand's former creative director, who announced his departure and subsequent new role at Chanel earlier this winter. The ensemble consisted of a sculpted, double-breasted plaid blazer, a yellow striped button-down shirt and matching tie, and black wool trousers. She finished off the look with white socks, black loafers, and her signature black '90s sunglasses.

On Kendall Jenner: The Row Lysandre Jacket ($9500); Hermès bag

Jenner, who has been known to love classic black blazers, noticeably left her favorite versions at home in Los Angeles for this particular business trip to Paris. The outfit she wore the next morning following Schiaparelli's show only further proved that to be true. Following the now-viral couture show, Jenner changed out of her bustier gown and into a brown lambskin blazer from The Row's winter 2024 collection, which is double-lined and a perfect counterpart for the model's matching suede Hermès Birkin bag. She and her stylist Dani Michelle kept this ensemble noticeably simpler, pairing the duo with a white tee, black trousers, and pointed-toe black boots.

In what might be one of the chicest new fragrance launches of the year, Bottega Veneta has unveiled five new fragrances as part of The Venice collection, with each scent as beautiful and unique as the next. Trust me, these are unlike anything else you've smelled before.

Drawing inspiration from the brand's Venetian origins, the collection is a celebration of Venice's rich history as a trading port. Inside each of the scents, you'll spot location-centric ingredients from all over the world (think French angelica, Macedonia juniper oil, Moroccan orange blossom absolute) as a nod to the ingredients that pass through this global trading hub.

Much like the brand's signature intreccio method of weaving leather, the notes—all of which are from natural origins—are layered and harmonised to create complex and interesting scents that transform on your skin as you wear them. I find that these smell completely different on my skin as opposed to the initial experience from the bottle, so if you're looking to try them, I'd highly recommend applying them on your skin—much how you should with any other perfume you're considering—as these really come to life as they mingle with your own skin chemistry.

And speaking of the bottles—the rippled vessels they're housed in are inspired by centuries-old glass-blowing techniques and the glittering lagoons of Venice—you can actually spot the tiny air bubbles dotted throughout the glass, which makes each bottle feel even more unique and special. And can we take a moment for the beautiful verde Saint Denis marble base that accompanies the bottle? Its the very same deep green marble that you'll find in Bottega Veneta's stores.
