I also look at the street style to show me exactly where I should keep my finger on the pulse, and the looks from Paris have already shown me several outfit trends that I must try for spring. Confession: My Who What Wear author profile photo was taken approximately eight years ago, and in it, I'm wearing the dated jacket trend that's the subject of this story. I'm not sure that I've worn that jacket since then, but I hung on to it because, as you know, everything in fashion comes back around. It’s not even officially winter here in the UK, but I’m already feeling the chill on my commute to and from work. And that can only mean one thing. It’s time to start thinking about the jackets I’ll be investing in this winter.

Of all the new celebrity couples that have materialized in 2025, I think the likely consensus is that Monica Barbaro and Andrew Garfield are one of the cutest. And if you're a fan of the pair like I am, you'll be happy to know that the two just arrived in Italy for the Venice Film Festival. With each new season, we can expect that a standout Zara piece will come to the fore. Last autumn, it was a textured ecru jacket that flew off the shelves, whilst this summer, a particular lace dress was the piece that consistently sold out. "I’m not much of a trench girl so when I thought about finally trying one out this spring I thought I’d have to go for a classic, and it doesn’t get much more classic than a Burberry trench. Because of the price point I had high expectations for this new iteration of Burberry’s classic style, and I have to say, it came through on almost all of my criteria. "I did some serious Pinterest scrolling before getting dressed the morning of this shoot, as a barn jacket isn’t my usual go-to, but this Arket one has me convinced. I loved the oversized fit (I’m wearing an 8 which is my usual size), and the contrast collar and general finish felt very premium. I want to be able to get my cost per wear. If it’s a wardrobe staple, I want it to be functional yet timeless and something I can wear repeatedly.

Style Notes: Dark cherry tones are still going strong this season, and although I tend to steer away from specific trends, I do love a full tonal look. This menswear knit by Copenhagen brand MLGA has a beautiful, deconstructed texture and depth, plus with power shoulders and extra-long sleeves, it’s a great statement knit.

I’ve paired it with my tailored wide-leg Arket trousers (my exact pair are now out of stock but the H&M pair below look so similar), the mini crescent Proenza in the same colour way, my black Margiela Tabi boots, and cat-eye Saint Laurent sunglasses. The bomber brings the look together tying in with my accessories. I would wear this for lunch or a meeting.

Style Notes: Depending on my schedule I could be running in-between sets, so on days like this, I opt for comfort. I’ve gone for my Wales Bonner x Adidas track pants (which are now sold out, but classic Adidas track pants work just the same!), an oversized COS white t-shirt and a cashmere Uniqlo sweater. Style Notes: For dinner with the girls, I’m wearing a vintage open knit top from Atijo, the knit works great as a layering piece adding texture to the look, paired with a Rick Owens skirt. It’s the ruching detailing at the back that makes the skirt interesting. I like the contrast of the masculine jacket with the fitted skirt. Style Notes: I wear a lot of black. In fact, I would say 75% of my wardrobe consists of black items. So I like to go for pieces that have interesting fabrics, cuts or silhouettes.
