If there’s one shoe brand I've been noticing editors and influencers wearing the most lately, it’s Tory Burch. From the resurgence of the early 2000s signature Reva ballet flat to the peep-toe pump, I keep spotting them all over New York. For 2026, it's the Romy Sport Mary Jane, which Jennifer Lawrence wore recently. According to the designer's website, the shoe is described as "a modern sneaker-ballet hybrid" and "lightweight and flexible."

In general, Mary Jane sneakers have been popular for a few years now, with styles like Adidas's Samba Jane and Onitsuka Tiger’s Mexico 66 TGRS. I also remember Cecilie Bahnsen, Chopova Lowena, and Simone Rocha being at the forefront of this, along with the resurgence of vintage Prada Sport pairs from the '90s. Luxury labels including Bottega Veneta, Jil Sander, Marni, Miu Miu, The Attico, and Wales Bonner have introduced their own versions as well.

As someone who rarely wears sneakers outside of the gym, this brings something new to the market: sneakers that don’t feel like sneakers. In NYC, where I live and am constantly walking, they fill a real gap in my wardrobe. I like that they bring a sense of femininity while still feeling comfortable and intentional—the perfect walking shoe.

If you're a regular Who What Wear reader, it'll come as no surprise that we love Kendall Jenner's style. Whether she's draped in crystals on the steps of the Met or donning jeans and a leather jacket during Paris Fashion Week, by our standards, the supermodel rarely misses in the fashion department. So, when she released her summer edit at FWRD, the luxury retailer where Kendall is the creative director, it was second nature for us to devour it from start to finish. But, in order to explore Kendall's summer style selects in full, I took things to the next level and took a few of my favorites from her list for a test drive. 

That's right—for three days last week, I got the chance to walk in Kendall's shoes. Well, not technically her shoes, but the shoes (and more) she's planning on wearing all summer long. From swimwear to handbags, the pieces featured ahead have all gotten Kendall's stamp of approval—and mine too. See how I styled them for the season ahead, below. 

I literally never wear color, so when I saw that Kendall was going all-in for the dopamine-dressing trend for summer, I knew it'd be a challenge for me to pull off. Then again, if I'm going to go outside of my comfort zone, I might as well follow the supermodel's lead. One of the more colorful looks from her summer edit included a hot pink bikini from The Attico, paired with royal blue Bottega Veneta sandals, a tangerine-colored Jacquemus bag, and an orange Versace top. But since I was headed to the office in the look, rather than the beach, I slightly switched the look up to make it more SFW, wearing the T-shirt–style swimsuit top with a high-waisted, midi-length orange skirt from Christopher Esber. Surprisingly, the vibrant hues and clashing colors weren't scary in the slightest. Rather, the look's eye-catching palette has me rethinking my no-color rule entirely.

This look from Kendall's edit was fun to play with, as it really only included a Balenciaga T-shirt bra and thong, the brand's white Hourglass mini bag, and Gia Borghini wedges. It was on me to turn the beachside ensemble into something appropriate for a day spent walking around NYC. Keeping with Kendall's low-key, cool style, I paired the bralette with a sand-colored poplin button-down from Lemaire, which I threw casually over my shoulders. From there, I added Khaite's Danielle jeans—a favorite of Kendall's—and light-brown sunglasses from The Attico which also made it into the model's edit. 

I'm very much the type to want fashion to be easy, at least for the most part. Dressing up and playing with clothes and accessories is fun, but when it comes to everyday styling, I like my outfits to come together seamlessly. Because of that, this look is a definite yes for me. Effortless yet elevated, the combo can easily be worn from day to night with a few simple tweaks.

After studying Kendall's edit for summer and actually trying out a ton of its contents, I've come to the conclusion that her mentality for the season is "go big or go home." And no outfit from the accompanying campaign showcases that more than this one by Maximilian Davis, who doubles as the new creative director of Salvatore Ferragamo. The look includes a cherry-red monokini with almost no back and a cutout in the center, which Kendall styled with a pair of matching leather-and-nylon trousers that feel (and sound) like a super-luxury garbage bag (in a cool way). Clearly, with a look this striking, I needed a shoe that matched the vibe, so of course, I chose Balenciaga's latest viral boots: the Cagoles. The style, which features a dramatic pointed toe, leather tassels, and metal studs, are arguably the buzziest item in fashion at the moment, rivaling only Coperni's glass bag and Miu Miu's micro miniskirt. 

That's all to say, this was one of the cooler outfits I've worn in my 26 years. Then again, that's not surprising given that Kendall Jenner basically picked it out.

It's true. Life is better in color. And plenty of fashion folks—designers, creatives, and tastemakers included—agree. There's usually a shade or two that dominates the runways each fashion cycle, but this year, it's about embracing all the colors.

Last year, Simon Jacquemus debuted his fall/winter 2021 collection of layered separates and saturated colors—with bold pieces in hot pink among them. If there’s one woman’s wardrobe we’re all currently crushing on here in the Who What Wear office, it’s Margot Robbie’s, and this weekend, she proved that there’s a good reason for our fervor. While we were all layering up our knits and throwing on the nearest pair of sneakers, she has quite literally gone and outshone us all in the most amazing yellow suit and matching heels. 

Ever since seeing her in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood this summer with her enviable ’60s-inspired wardrobe, we’ve noticed Margot has been bringing her A-game off-screen as well. While popping out in New York this weekend, Robbie chose this lemony two-piece from Attico paired with a statement lip, giving us major ’80s-power-suit vibes. Some people think of bright yellow as a harsh, overwhelming color that's not exactly easy on the eyes or easy to style, so it can certainly be risky to wear. While it's not as versatile as muted colors, we happen to think the risk pays off in spades.

Two wildly popular brands have teamed up for what could be one of the best collaborations of 2019. The sustainable, L.A.-based Re/Done and Italian It brand The Attico just released a '70s- and '80s-inspired collection filled with glamorous pieces, mostly consisting of reworked vintage (along with a few new graphic tees and cargo pants).

In keeping with Re/Done's commitment to upcycling, the brands took vintage floral dresses and Levi's denim pieces, repurposing them into 13 one-of-a-kind items that will please their Italian and L.A. fans equally (as well as their fans everywhere else, naturally).

For the campaign, there was no reason to look further than Attico founders and designers Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini. (You'll see why below.) Speaking of Ambrosio and Tordini, Re/Done co-founder Sean Barron remarked via a press release, "We had an instant connection with Gilda and Giorgia," Adding, "The quick friendship unfolded organically. Both of our brands are inspired by vintage designs and we knew right away that we wanted to create something cool together." And although Attico's Italian aesthetic is clearly present in the collection, Giorgia and Gilda shared that it "takes shape out in the streets of Los Angeles, one of our favorite places to go for inspiration and which we feel very close to."

The collection, which is already starting to sell out after just being released this morning, consists of floral dresses, cargo pants, embellished denim, and covetable graphic tees. When it comes to shopping for party dresses, I tend to hold back. I like to plan my wardrobe and buy minimalist pieces I can wear over and over again, whereas shopping for specific events can sometimes lead to impulse purchases I'll only live to regret. But lately, I'm starting to rethink my ways.

Global fashion search platform Lyst has just released its annual Year in Fashion Report, revealing the most powerful fashion trends, influencers, designers, and products of the year. The report is based on global search data and social media mentions, and when you take a closer look it reflects exactly what you've seen all over your social feeds this year. 

The section of the report that had us most excited is the most-wanted brands of Instagram. The report is pulled by scanning the spikes in search demand correlating to Instagram mentions and brand tags so far for 2018.

There are few things in life that cause a bigger frenzy for fashion girls than a new shoe trend—and a new boot trend is just icing on the cake. For the past few weeks, our EIC Kat Collings and I have been frantically DMing photos back and forth about a bubbling boot shape that we're predicting is about to blow up. We're not quite sure what to call this one yet, but it's reminiscent of an '80s-inspired Western boot.

Said boot shape is characterized by a slight dip in the front with sides that remain higher and straight across through the back. Some versions like these Isabel Marant beauties have more of a Western-inspired feel, while the Attico ones give nod to the '80s. We've noticed different iterations of this shape on the Instagram accounts of some of the most directional fashion girls, meaning this trend is percolating and on the verge of going mainstream. Mark our words—a few months from now everyone will be coveting this style.

I just got back from a sunny vacation, so I feel more ready than ever to dig into what’s new, trend-wise, for 2018. New clothes look better with a tan, right? Without any further ado, let’s dig into my favourites and what I’m leaving behind the French-girl way. These are five new trends I’m excited about for 2018.

Playful Accessories

This is by far my favorite trend for the months to come. Actually, is it a trend, or am I the only one who’s into that kind of stuff? To explain why I’m in love with this trend, here are my honest thoughts about the spring French-girl uniform (flower dress, espadrilles and a woven basket bag). As a French girl myself, I’m drawn to it. But let’s be real, I’m also a little tired of it. Florals for spring? Groundbreaking, am I right?

So even if I find a wrap dress flattering and a woven basket cute and practical, I am, as of now, trying to go toward something else. Something as nonchalant and playful as the woven accessories (cause a girl’s gotta keep that French touch) but different. So instead of the woven basket, I’ll be wearing a colourful pearl bag this year (in a basket shape—baby steps). And I’ll replace my gold sandals with a rainbow metallic pair (sometimes, because they don’t go with everything—baby steps). Here are some of my favourites.

Tacky Chic

Goes very well with the previous trend. So what belongs to this category? As a disclaimer, I’d like to add that I’ve been super inspired by Carrie Bradshaw for this. French-girl style is cool but pretty basic. That’s why this season I’ve decided to twist it up with some “tacky chic” pieces à la Carrie. This outfit sums it up perfectly: chic, perfectly done classic staples paired with the tackiest chic accessory (and a personal fave) that exists—the Dior saddlebag (I got mine on Vestiaire Collective). Bodysuits and Square Necklines

Ugh. Deep V-necks are still cool, but I believe a square neckline can be so sexy. I mentioned my love for the brand Khaite NY for basics, but it also does the most extreme sexy plunging square necklines (and bodysuits). I’m not gonna lie, this is not a new trend, really. But it’s just what I want to wear this season with a high-waisted pair of trousers and a pretty pair of boots. Rien de nouveau sous le soleil.

I don’t think there’s anything more sultry than a see-through dress (or top), and a playfulness in an outfit is really super French, in my opinion. It’s true that these items are more for the middle of the summer, and they’re not that easy to pull off in the city. But they’re worth it. See the proof here.

I love discovering new brands on Instagram—it’s my passion. I scroll and scroll for hours, and get caught in the Insta vortex. My eyes get red and dry, and I legit look like a crazy addicted person, but sometimes it’s worth it. I came across Paris Georgia a long time ago, but I just recently took a step further and bought a few pieces, as I wanted some sharp, sexy and simple dresses for the new season. This one has everything—a square neckline, an earthy color, the perfect length and a heavy, luxurious material—and I believe it’s going to be my go-to this spring. Plus, what’s more French than a perfect slip dress?

It's really tricky to nail your wardrobe style each season without wanting to splurge on big ticket items. If you're trying to save money this winter, take a different approach by using add-on details to maximise style without the need to invest in new (more expensive) items, such as coats and jeans. Think simple accessories to elevate your current wardrobe pieces—a beautiful silk scarf to tie around your neck (à la française), the It boot trend of the season to elevate last years' jacket, or black opaque tights to layer under your favourite LBD. There's room for understated style without trying too hard, even if accessorising isn't usually your thing. The fun part is not having to spend a lot of money to get results. 

But when it comes to layering, just remember it's a good idea to pay attention to how much you're wearing at one time. If you think there's too much going on, you're probably right. As Coco Chanel said: "Once you've dressed, and before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take at least one thing off."

To elevate the heels you currently have sitting in your wardrobe; try ankle straps made street style popular by Attico. Don't save these for the weekend, they're office and meeting appropriate, too.

Static Guard spray—we always have some in our kit and it is the most failsafe way not to damage fabric!

If I am out and about and have no lotion or static guard, I'll run my hands under the taps and flick the droplets from my wet hands onto the garment. This always stops static but beware of leaving watermarks on fabrics like brushed silk.

Every so often, a trend materializes that shouldn't work but somehow wins all of our hearts. We can’t quite pinpoint exactly where it came from, but suddenly it’s a favorite of every It girl. Street style stars Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini's fashion label Attico only launched a year ago, but it is already one of the most talked-about names in fashion. The secret to Attico's overnight success is that the founders instinctively know what will create a buzz, as they spend at least two months a year being flanked by a flock of street style photographers, their personal style choices filling up outfit galleries across the land.

These two aren't afraid of going out on a fashion limb, and one of their key designs for 2017 is particularly polarising: Black leather cuffs with buckles that are to be worn on both ankles might sound like a trend most would steer clear of (looks a little like an electronic ankle tag or ankle support, no?), yet the £165 anklet almost instantly sold out on both Net-a-Porter and MyTheresa earlier this year. I fall in the 'summer' camp (give me a Sydney heatwave any day of the week), which is why I'm escaping the coldest month of winter and heading to Europe in August to get married (I know, #HumbleBrag). But that doesn't mean I don't get a little bit excited about layering up.
