This time around, we're getting a glimpse into a night out with supermodel Ashley Graham, who serves as a global brand ambassador for Revlon.

Meeting Ashley Graham at NYC's Keys & Heels feels like the ultimate paradox. The speakeasy-style cocktail lounge, hidden behind a locksmith shop, is mysterious, almost labyrinthine, before you slink behind its doors and are greeted by sumptuous velvet couches and a backlit bar. Graham, on the other hand, is disarmingly warm as she beckons me to a corner booth and announces I must try a glass of Lucci, her dry sparkling Italian Lambrusco. "I never forget a face," she declares after immediately recalling our last conversation two years ago, when I interviewed her at an Ulta meet and greet. Her walls are glass. With Graham, what you see is what you get: a grounded, confident, easygoing individual you definitely want to have drinks with.

We're currently clinking glasses to Revlon ColorSilk's After Care Collection and discussing her night-out beauty staples (quite fitting on an actual night out, no?), and it only takes a few minutes for her to divulge the hilarious going-out flashback forever burned into her brain—one that other A-listers of her caliber might keep close to their chests. "One of the first dates my husband [Justin Ervin] took me on was karaoke with a bunch of friends. I was really getting into it because I'm a karaoke fiend, and it was Beyoncé," she reveals. "I was getting down to my knees, and my pants ripped from the back seam to the front seam. I was mortified. Everybody was laughing—I was laughing too—to the point where my husband actually took a photo. We still have the photo 17 years later." I have to imagine she keeps it in an album next to glamorous red carpet looks, such as her recent Met Gala ensemble, which featured a custom Di Petsa dress, Zales jewelry, and a chrome "dipped" manicure. I call that range!

Today, selecting the right playlist remains integral to her getting-ready routine ("Everything is about the music," she notes) with hopefully fewer wardrobe malfunctions involved, along with a collection of hair, skin, and makeup items that always come in clutch. Graham's going-out prep always starts with hair, and when I ask about her go-to 'do, she's quick to respond, "Definitely a bouncy blowout." It's exactly what she's sporting during our chat—a loose, airy style with long, face-framing layers. While her hair can hold onto a blowout pretty well ("I can always go to day two or day three, depending on how hard my workout was," she notes), she adds that freshly washed strands make all the difference. Ask any hairstylist, and they'll agree: A stellar hair day starts in the shower. The Revlon ColorSilk After Color Shampoo and Conditioner have been her washday staples since they launched this past January, as both formulas preserve vibrant color and repair breakage—and healthier, stronger hair appears way shinier, as you likely know. "I have been begging them to make the conditioner for years now since I started using the hair dye," she adds. "It only came with a tiny, little packet. I was like, 'This needs to be in a jar, you guys.' And then, finally, they made it. So, you're welcome!" To reap its shine-boosting benefits on the go, she'll apply (and reapply) the brand's After Color Serum, which also seals split ends upon application and smooths frizz.

While her hair sets and cools, she'll move on to makeup then hop in the shower. Yes, I also did a double take. "I know that sounds weird, but I think the steam makes it glowy and dewy," Graham explains. "It's kind of the same notion as spraying rose water on your face before or after makeup. It just sets it so beautifully and makes it less cakey." My beauty-editor brain is, for lack of a better word, boggled. I ask her if it's some sort of gatekept makeup-artist technique that somehow hasn't hit the mainstream, but nope. She's sworn by the routine since middle school. "I realized, 'Oh, I forgot to wash my body.' And then I was like, 'Oh, look how good my makeup looks.' It was self-discovery," she adds.

Still, Graham does love a rose water mist for on-the-go touch-ups and will often toss one into her going-out bag. "I went to Korea and found like a million different rose water sprays," she shares before crowning D'Alba's White Truffle First Spray her current favorite. Also nestled in the bag are two lip products—namely, Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick in Bare It All and PhotoReady Instant Plump Serum in Magically Inflated. "I actually wore it at the Met," she says regarding the latter. "It's so gorgeous." That night, she tucked it into her bronze YSL Satin Evening Clutch, which has a sleek, sculptural silhouette that, surprisingly, "holds everything," she notes. "A girl in the bathroom [at the Met] had the exact same bag as me. I was like, 'That's how you know.'"

As a self-described "perfume girly," Graham also never leaves the house without a travel-size fragrance on her person. "I like everything between vanilla and spice," she declares before baring her neck and commanding me to take a whiff of her potion du jour—a warm, skin-like blend of musk and amber. "I got it on TikTok Shop," she confesses with a conspiratorial smile. I repeat: Graham is not afraid to lay all her cards on the table.

I can practically picture her humming along to Beyoncé's Lemonade album as she applies her final spritz, skin fresh and dewy from her post-glam steam. Although, when she's working with a professional hair-and-makeup team, like before tonight's event, she skips the subsequent rinse. Who needs a middle school hack when you have the industry's leading experts at your beck and call? "Tonight's trick was taking a 30-minute nap," she jokes, "then I got my hair blown out." A candid queen, through and through.

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling a little fatigued by the endless stream of LBDs and naked dresses that flood my feed every party season. This year, I have my heart set on discovering something fresh.

Right on cue, at this week’s CFDA Awards, the industry’s chicest shelved their sheer slips and black minis in favour of the endlessly elegant cream satin dress trend. Olivia Dean, for example, wore a warm cream strapless satin gown that bordered on butter yellow to the event. Paired with a Thom Browne tartan bag and pointed pumps, her look was uncomplicated, elegant and impossibly chic.

Ashley Graham took the trend in a more minimalist direction, opting for a boat-neck maxi with soft draping that floated elegantly past her ankles. Instead of the clingy fits we’ve come to associate with partywear, her relaxed silhouette felt, in my opinon, chicer.

Glossy, luminous and fresh, the neutral tone feels elevated and modern—catching the light for a radiant finish and nodding to the glamour of events season in a more understated way.

Paloma Elsesser offered another interpretation, stepping out in a Simkhai gown featuring a beaded halterneck and fluid satin skirt. With tonal satin heels to match, she doubled down on the gleaming texture, creating a look that was cohesive and confident.

While the trend took off in the form of dresses this week, I also spotted the colour and fabrication worn in the form of a chicest 3-piece set by Lily Allen. Styling a Colleen Allen lace-trim bra, voluminous skirt and elegant stole, the soft, neutral palette lent the daring silhouette an unexpected sense of restraint.

One scroll through Instagram this weekend—whether you're a fan of Formula One like I am or only know of the racing competition because the icon for its docuseries Drive to Survive pops up on Netflix (likely after you wrapped up Beckham)—and you no doubt caught a glimpse of the happenings around the Las Vegas Grand Prix. That's because in addition to the sport growing at a record pace in the U.S. thanks to the series, countless fashion collabs, F1 content creators, and more, celebrities and influencers were a dime a dozen during the three-day race weekend at pop-ups, parties, and, of course, the track, which took over the Las Vegas strip, spanning Treasure Island to Planet Hollywood, past the Mirage, Bellagio, and Cosmopolitan casinos. Even Monaco, one of the oldest and most prestigious F1 venues, doesn't bring in the caliber of names that Las Vegas did this weekend. 

Mercedes AMG Petronas driver and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton led the charge as he so often does, rocking up to the paddock for media day wearing an all-black Valentino look from the house's S/S 24 menswear collection, with a pearl choker from the brand as well as Versace boots. (If you're a fan of Hamilton's style, follow @hamazinglew on Instagram to be the first to know when a new look drops.) The following day, he wore another runway look, this time from Pharrell's S/S 24 collection for Louis Vuitton with IWC's Pilot's Perpetual Calendar Top Gun Lake Tahoe watch and Bottega Veneta's drop aviators (that Kendall Jenner was just seen wearing as well). Lewis Hamilton Fashion Week, as some online have penned the weekend, continued with custom Bottega Veneta, custom Burberry by Daniel Lee, and a custom Las Vegas–inspired bomber jacket by Donatella Versace herself. "A true Versace man: Bold, fearless and with amazing style," Versace captioned a photo of the jacket on Instagram. "I looooove that jacket on you, Lewis Hamilton. Always on your team!"

But Hamilton's always showing up to the track clad in designer 'fits thanks to his daring sense of style and the work of his stylist, Eric McNeal. Others, like A$AP Rocky and Rihanna, aren't around as often. But given that Rocky was just appointed creative director of F1's partnership with Puma, he was expected to arrive dressed to the nines in his debut collection for the brand, especially since he attended the Miami Grand Prix back in June. Rihanna—clad in runway Prada and Balenciaga, Gucci accessories, and a custom Jacob & Co. watch anklet (!!)—was a delightful surprise. Event after event, the musician and Fenty Beauty founder delivered in the style department, proving my own theory that F1 weekends are the new fashion week, with drivers and attendees alike placing emphasis on style when the lights go out. Except instead of two months per year, the season runs all the way from March to November with up to 23 races in total, meaning there's really no end to the sartorial possibilities when it comes to F1.

Ashley Graham has been married for over a decade now, but that won't stop her from living vicariously through wedding dress design. Can you blame her? This week marks the launch of her second collaboration with the beloved Spanish bridal brand Pronovias. Along with Alessandra Rinaudo, the Pronovias Group Artistic Director, Graham co-designed the size-inclusive 17-dress collection, which is available in sizes 0 to 32. 

"I’m so excited that Pronovias Group and I were able to collaborate again and continue to create luxury bridal dresses for women of all shapes and sizes,” Ashley Graham said in a statement. "I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve done with this amazing collection because every woman deserves to feel beautiful and comfortable on their wedding day.”

Below, I've broken down the new collection into my four favorite wedding dress trends—scroll down to preview the beautiful looks. 

1. Minimalism 

The Day gown is actually a recreation of Ashley Graham's 2019 Oscars red carpet look. The original dress was black but when rendered in white, it's the ultimate minimalist gown for stylish brides. 

The Paria dress is part of Pronovias's sustainable wedding dress line called We Do Eco and is made with an eco-friendly crepe fabric. 

The Harbour dress will never go out of style with its classic V-neck silhouette.

In what can only be described as the most relatable fashion-girl move of all time, Ashley Graham got all dressed up this week to take some extremely well-lit selfies in her bathroom. For the DIY shoot, which resulted in six self-timer shots that the supermodel posted to her Instagram on Tuesday, Graham wore a blue patterned corset top that casually features clasp closures up the front and two skin-baring sheer panels on either side.

Her top, which is selling out at a record pace, is from Miaou, Alexia Elkaim's L.A. fashion brand that has built up not just a loyal Instagram fan base but a celeb one, too, with Hailey Bieber, Megan Fox, and Elsa Hosk all frequenting its beloved corsets and micro miniskirts. More specifically, Graham's Deville Corset is part of fellow model Paloma Elsesser's recently launched collaboration with Miaou, which included many of the brand's most popular pieces in new fabrics and an extended size range, up to 4X.

There seems to be an endless buffet of brow treatments, whether it’s brow lamination, brow tinting, or even a brow freeze. But one seems to be popping up more frequently: ombré brows. And while ombré is a trend that’s made its way through hair, nails, and just about every other genre of beauty, you may need a little more of an explanation when it comes to brows. (TBH, same.)

"Ombré eyebrows—also known as powder brows—is a semi-permanent method of shading the brows,” explains Jennifer Sanchez, owner of Brows by Jenny Rose. "This technique will perfect the brow shape, fill in sparse areas, and, in most cases, replace the need to apply makeup to the eyebrows.” 

So what makes them ombré, you ask? "The tails of the brows are shaded darker and fade into light [toward the] beginning of the brow, giving a soft ombré makeup effect,” explains Sanchez. And like most treatments, the look is totally customizable. "The brows can be tailored to a natural look or bolder makeup look, depending on my client’s preference,” says the pro.

What to Expect During an Ombré Brow Treatment

First things first: a few measurements. "I start with mapping out the eyebrows using a brow ruler and a few other tools to ensure the brows are as symmetrical as possible,” says Sanchez. Still, she reminds us that "brows are supposed to be sisters, not twins!” Once the brow shape is approved, "I tattoo a soft outline to guarantee that the shape is secure, then I numb the brows for about 20 minutes and then proceed with the procedure.” 

Next, "the ombré shading is done using a tattoo shading machine that implants pixelated dots of ink that create an overall powder effect,” explains the pro. And if you’re concerned about the word "tattoo,” don’t worry. "The best part is that most of my clients feel minimal pain,” she says.

The Benefits of Ombré Brows

In addition to the obvious benefit of fuller-looking brows, this treatment pretty much erases the need for brow tools or makeup. "You will literally be able to say, ‘I woke up like this,’” says Sanchez. "You will have waterproof, smudge-proof, defined brows, and you will save time when getting ready and have a major confidence boost.”

Almost anyone can get the treatment, too. "Ombré brows are suitable for all ages, hair and skin types,” says Sanchez, who says it's "ess invasive than microblading. "With microblading, you need normal-dry, blemish-free skin to achieve noticeable results.”

Side Effects of Ombré Brows

Although Sanchez says there are no major side effects, there are a few things to note before making your appointment. "I have my clients complete a health history form to ensure they do not have a medical condition or are on any medications that will slow down the healing process,” says Sanchez. In addition, "Some individuals leave with red or slightly swollen brows, which can last for a few days.” And if your brows look a little intense at first, don’t fret: "The brows will appear dark and bold, but once healed, the color will lighten up and the overall shape will appear more natural. You have to trust the process!” explains Sanchez.

Ombré Brows Aftercare

There are a few things to do at home for the best results. "The most important thing is to keep brows clean, hydrated, out of the sun, and refrain from heavy sweating or moisture for two weeks,” says Sanchez. "If the aftercare is not followed properly, it can cause infections, and the brows will not heal properly.” Sanchez also has her clients come in for a follow-up appointment after eight to 10 weeks "so that I can assess the retention and perfect the areas that may not have taken the pigment.”

Some skincare products may affect the treatment, too. "After the healing process is complete, I advise my clients to avoid applying facial acids, retinoids, and anti-aging products directly to the brows to ensure the brows don’t fade prematurely,” says Sanchez. 

And although the treatment may be pricey (between $500 and $1000, depending on where you go), they can last up to three years. Still, "a color-boost touch-up is recommended every one to two years,” says Sanchez. 

How to Do the Ombré Brow Look at Home 

You may not be able to do actual ombré brows at home, but you can achieve the look using a few products. To start, "use a brow pencil to mark where your brows should start, arch, and end,” says Sanchez. "To create the ombré effect, fill in your eyebrows with a brow pencil or powder using a very light hand. Then, build the color up at the middle and ends of your brows, ensuring that the ends are the darkest.” Next, "use a thin brush and concealer to clean up any mistakes.” Lastly, grab your trusty spoolie to "diffuse the front of the brows.”

If you had to leave the house in five minutes, what are a few staple beauty products you’d apply or bring with you?

Okay. Five minutes. Sunscreen for my face because I feel like that’s always overlooked, an eyebrow spoolie, and my St. Tropez Ultimate Glow Mousse Kit ($55).

Do you have a favorite sunscreen? It’s so hard to find a really great one that ticks off all of the boxes.

Yeah! I have two favorites. One is from Dermophisiologique. Have you heard of that one? It’s great because it doesn’t turn my face white. And then I like the Supergoop! Glow Oil SPF 50 PA++++ ($38)—I literally never burn when I'm wearing it even though it feels like tanning oil.

I love that one too. Okay, so on days when you’re not working or you’re just staying in, what does your skincare routine look like both morning and night?

I try to keep it really simple. I don’t really cleanse my face in the morning. I just kind of rinse it and then put on some kind of serum, moisturizer, or something with just a little bit of vitamin B, vitamin C, or vitamin A depending on if I have any congestion. Then I’ll put on my SPF.

And then in the evenings, I’ll cleanse, and if I have makeup on, I’ll usually do a double cleanse. I’ll add a little bit of dew to my face with some rose water, I’ll add a serum, and then I have this deep, nourishing face mask from my acupuncturist, which I’ll sometimes use. I put a nice balm over it, leave it on all night, and then I just wake up super dewy. I love it. And then, after the balm, I like to spray St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water Face Mist ($30) over it to keep me tan.

Okay, let’s say you can only use three beauty products for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

Hmm, I would use… Okay, sorry to bring it up again, but definitely, my Dermophisiologique sunscreen because it’s such a tried-and-true product on my vanity that never goes away. Aquaphor Healing Ointment ($10)—one of my favorites. It’s always on my lips, and I’ve also been known to lather it on my legs when I’m on my way to an event. And, I mean, I know I already mentioned my St. Tropez Ultimate Glow Kit, but I’m obsessed.

You’re a global ambassador for St. Tropez. What are the best tips and tricks you’ve picked up for mastering an at-home self-tanning routine? It can be tricky and intimidating!

First and foremost, you have to use a mitt. The mitt is your best friend. If you use your hand, you will regret everything in life. Second, I think people are afraid of lotion. You just have to make sure you're hitting all of the areas including your hands, your knees, your elbows, your feet. And then as far as successfully tanning that hard part on your back that you feel like you can’t quite get to, I just spray the St. Tropez Purity Bronzing Water Face Mist back there, too. Like, loads and loads and loads of sprays, and it will tan your back! 

Ooh, that is a good tip!

[Laughs] Yes, if I don’t have someone here to support me, that’s what I do.

Is there anything about your beauty routine that would surprise people?

That would surprise people? I feel like people probably assume that I use a lot of products, but I really don’t. For me, it’s really about less is more, and I think the less you have in your routine, the better it probably is for your skin. It's not like your skin wants loads of stuff anyway, at least mine doesn’t! But yeah, I just keep everything simple. I’m down to earth. I’m not too fussy about things. I’m very much a just-run-out-the-door-as-I-am type of person. 

I want to switch gears a little bit to your wellness routine. Health and beauty are so intertwined. Do you have any self-care practices you rely on to help de-stress or stay centered?

For me, everything is all about how beauty comes from the inside and extends outward. I really think that’s a motto a lot of people have to remember even though it can be challenging. It’s not always easy to say that to yourself. Prayer and meditation have also really kept me centered and sane, especially through this last year or so. They’ve always been staples in my life, but I think I bumped it up during the pandemic, but also after becoming a mom. I had to really think about how to cut out alone time for myself and what I really wanted to do with that alone time. Finding ways to move my body every day is also really important to me, whether it’s yoga or working out or taking a walk or Pilates. 

Completely. And I’m glad you brought up life as a new mom. Congratulations, by the way! How has that experience been so far, and how has this new role impacted the way you approach beauty?

Well, it DID remove a lot of steps. Efficiency is key, and you know, if a product isn’t multitasking, I kind of think twice about it. Like, why am I even using it? The St. Tropez Ultimate Glow Kit has so much nourishment as far as essential hydration that’s already built into it; I don’t have to think about lotioning up constantly, and it also has ingredients like rose hip, so I know that I don’t have to OD on my hyaluronic acid.

When do you feel most beautiful or confident and why?

Man, I think there’s something about being on a date with my husband when we’re mid-conversation, and just out of nowhere, he will tell me, "You’re so beautiful.” It’s just like, awww! Thank you! It still gives me butterflies, and it’s been almost 11 years. 

That’s amazing. I love that! You know, it seems like every generation inherits more and more societal pressure to look and present themselves in a certain way. What’s your advice for anyone who struggles to feel beautiful or empowered?

It’s so hard to be around the constant comparison on social media. You have to remember that your words have power and that other people don’t dictate who you are. You dictate who you are. Remember to have things written down—put them on your mirror—that will remind you of who you are so that in those lowest moments, you can say, I am bold, I am brilliant, I am beautiful, and you don’t second-guess yourself. Affirmations are so powerful.

Definitely. Our inner monologue and what we tell ourselves is so important—resisting that temptation to cut ourselves down. And then I actually just have one more question for you. What’s your Unfiltered beauty philosophy in seven words or less?

Okay wait, six, seven, eight, nine… Can I do nine?!

[Laughs] Yes! And you can explain it and provide a little context, too.

Okay, yes. For me, it’s going to be the affirmations I had to tell myself when I was in my late teens. I am bold, I am brilliant, and I am beautiful. I am bold because I’ve always had to stand up to an industry that has tried to tell me who I am. And now it’s even worse; it’s not even just the fashion industry telling you who you are, but it’s social media telling young people who they are, too. So I had to be bold and stand up against that system. I am brilliant because I was diagnosed with ADD and dyslexia, and I was always told I wasn’t good enough to be a this or that or a businesswoman or to even read a teleprompter, so I have always had to remind myself that I am brilliant. And then I am beautiful because it’s like what we were just talking about—social media and this industry are constantly trying to feed us this comparison game if you allow it to. That’s why I really feel like having affirmations is key and having them close to your heart is very important.

Trust me when I say that the scattered amount of bold-colored items in my wardrobe isn't something I'm proud of. Every season, I'll try to make at least a few purchases from the ROYGBIV spectrum to spruce up my otherwise beige-and-black closet. But without fail, I find myself defaulting to a generally neutral color palette. As someone who doesn't enjoy taking time to get ready in the morning, not having to worry about any of the items in my wardrobe clashing with one another makes getting dressed feel like a breeze. I will, however, give myself a small pat on the back for recently graduating from groutfits (an all-gray outfit) to warmer, beige-focused ensembles. Brown counts as a vibrant color in my book.

But despite how minimalist a neutral color palette may seem, the chic combinations that can emerge from it are far from boring. It just takes a little extra imagination to keep a lackluster look at bay. It’s no secret that celebrities have a penchant for wearing designer items. While we love luxurious, high-end fashion as much as the next person, it's always refreshing to see our favorite celebs steps out wearing something affordable. After all, the so-called "investment pieces" that we spot them wearing are just that—investments. They're items that we plan and save for; they may be expensive purchases, but they're not necessarily spontaneous purchases. We keep track of any affordable and celebrity-approved pieces we find for days when we feel the need to expand our wardrobe without minimizing our bank accounts.

Lately, many of those affordable and celebrity-approved pieces that we’re seeing are swimsuits… no surprise there; it is mid-July after all. Celebs like Selena Gomez, Ashley Graham, Kylie Jenner, and more, have all been spotted wearing swimsuits that are $150 and under. Yara Shahidi

Yara Shahidi posted this picture of her mid-nap to Instagram, tagging J. Crew as the brand behind her bright yellow bikini. While the yellow color, which is called "burnished citron" is currently only available in size large on the brand's website, there are a whole host of other colors to choose from (I have the exact same suit in red, and it's one of the comfiest swimsuits I've ever worn). 

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez wore a $40 one-piece while on vacation in Mexico. The bright red suit is from Krahs Swimwear, which is a brand that was started by Gomez's friend Theresa Mingus. Gomez even helped design a swimsuit, which she debuted in an Instagram post last May.

Emily Ratajkowski

If you follow Emily Ratajkowski on Instagram, you're well-aware that she owns her own swimsuit label, called Inamorata. While she posts pictures of herself wearing these bikinis often, the one she seems particularly drawn to is a stringy brown-and-white polka dot suit called Las Olas. 

Alessandra Garcia Lorido

Alessandra Garcia Lorido might be the daughter of famous actor Andy Garcia, but the model and actress is a star in our own right (and her fashion-forward Instagram is proof of that). Here, she wears a hot pink tie-front bikini with mismatched blue bottoms while on vacation in Florida. The suit comes from ASOS. Buying both pieces will only put you out $27!).

Khloe Kardashian took baby True with her on vacation to Turks and Caicos last May. During her vacation, she posted multiple pictures of herself lounging beachside in a hot pink bikini, which is from White Fox Boutique, a brand that many of her sisters have been spotted wearing in the past.

Speaking of Kylie, the beauty billionaire posted her own swimsuit pictures on Instagram a few months back. In this picture, she wears a neon green bandeau set from the aforementioned White Fox Boutique, which matches the one-pieces worn by both Jordyn and Stormi. 

Ashley Graham

Ashley Graham's Swimsuits for All partnership is still going strong. Here, she poses in one of her designs from the collaboration. The set features a scoop-neck top, a high-waisted bottom, and a dangling body chain that can be worn on the top or the bottom as you wish. 

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa is a fan of a printed one-piece swimsuit (that's if her recent Instagram posts are any indication). The one she wears in this picutre is from the brand Lysander Swim, and it's covered in dark green leopard print...If it's good enough for Dua Lipa, then it's good enough for us.

Quadruple-digit-price items are the norm on the red carpet, so we get more than a little excited when we find a chic exception. Attending an event in Los Angeles, Ashley Graham made a wallet-friendly item look like a million bucks, so it's no surprise it sold out like that.
