Fall presents the perfect opportunity to get creative with my outfits. I love juxtaposing sandals with sweaters or knee-high boots with miniskirts, having fun with layers, and embracing cool lightweight jackets. Can you tell this is my favorite season? So it goes without saying that I'm always looking for fresh, cool, and creative ways to dress for 65-degree weather. More than anything, I'm looking for outfit ideas that not only feel of the moment but also spark joy when I slip them on.

"What can I say? Wearing a miniskirt makes me feel cute! And extra points for it being pink and furry. A long vintage blazer from Margiela helps me feel more confident in pulling off the mini hemline, which is something I haven't tried for at least a decade. And since the blazer doesn't have a lapel, I love how my vintage silk blouse looks with the '70s-style collar pulled out. Naturally, knee-high boots are the best footwear to finish any fall outfit."

"I'm the kind of person who will wear a dress as long as humanly possible before catching hypothermia, so in the fall, expect to see a lot of maxi moments from me. Dresses that once served me well in the summer get layered up and finished off with a pair of boots to transition them into the colder weather. That's why it was such a joy for me to wear this outfit that made me feel so chic and put-together, like a French girl! My kind of perfect-weather day is one that requires not much more than a cropped poncho, and here she is."

"Unlike many people, fall isn't my favorite season to dress for. I love the simplicity of summer and warm-weather dressing, whereas dressing for chillier temps always feels like work rather than fun. Yet I live in a place with all four seasons, so you can imagine my excitement when I find an effortless combination that works well even when it's below 60°. Such is the case with this look, made up of a long-sleeve (and backless) bodysuit from The Great Eros, dark-wash jeans from Agolde, and my current favorite ankle boots, the Le Cagole style from Balenciaga. It takes no work at all, and it's comfortable, elevated, and fun."

Add a trend-forward maxi-length skirt to the mix and it makes for one effortlessly chic autumn ensemble. I get so many compliments on this Zara skirt, and the best part is it clocks in at just $50. This is one of my favorite fall outfits I love to wear right now. It feels fresh and on-trend and is easy to wear from day to night."

If you have these outfit elements, you can dress as casually as you please but still look really stylish. Here, I'm wearing a Totême sweater and jacket with a pair of Reformation riding boots I got last year. It's an outfit I could easily wear any year and never look outdated in the least."

In the past, I would have exclusively worn my knee-high boots with miniskirts, but ever since knee-length skirts returned as a big fall 2022 runway trend, I've been intrigued by the in-between length. I've found the hemline to be trickier to style, but over a pair of structured tall boots, it feels approachable and fresh. Here, I added a belt and a coordinating jacket to mine for a spin on how the viral Miu Miu pleated skirts were styled on the runway."

"As a modest dresser, maxi skirts have always been a part of my wardrobe, so I was pretty excited when they became a top 2022 trend and there was suddenly a plethora of market for me to choose from. My feel-good fall outfit this season is a cozy cardigan, a maxi skirt (this denim one is my current favorite), and heeled boots. It looks on-trend, is easy to wear, and, last but not least, is extremely cozy. A classic belt ties the entire look together. I'll definitely be repeating this outfit soon."
