It’s no surprise that on Who What Wear, you’ll regularly see us covering, coveting, and seeking to make royal style accessible by covering the likes of Kate Middleton, Queen Letizia, Talita von Furstenberg, and even Meghan Markle. When it comes to Queen Elizabeth, however, (aside from when binge-watching The Crown) it’s not as often that we get to stop and discuss her fashion choices, as in most conversations, they tend to take a back burner to her lengthy and remarkable life.
As such, you can imagine our delight when today in London, designer Erdem Moralioglu showed the Spring 2018 collection for his eponymous line, inspired almost entirely by none other than the Queen herself. The result? The awe-inspiring prints, fabrics, silhouettes, embellishments, and details Erdem has always been known for combined with a sense of history, nostalgia, and regality. In other words: he delivered.
