Here's What Everyone Wore to the DVF Awards (Hint: Not a Wrap Dress)

Diane von Furstenberg brought the fashion community to the United Nations last night for the eighth annual DVF Awards, and the stars rose to the occasion. While attendees seemed to universally leave von Furstenberg's signature wrap dress at home, they also ditched a surprisingly common red carpet staple—the color black.

Between Kate Bosworth's salmon and silver asymmetrical dress and Tracee Ellis Ross's bright white striped one-shouldered top, there wasn't a simple black look to be found on the DVF red carpet. But maybe that's a good thing. Who would want to play it safe in front of Diane von Furstenberg herself?

Each year, the DVF Awards recognizes five women who are doing things to transform the lives of other women. Last night's award recipients included Karlie Kloss, Louise Dubé, Baljeet Sandhu, Yoani Sánchez, and Jane Goodall.

Take a look at some of the most fun and daring looks from the DVF Awards below, and see the distinct lack of black for yourself.
