Dior debuted its resort runway collection this week in L.A., and celebrities and style icons alike turned up to see the show and watch for emerging trends.
The fashion house is known for creating style movements with its collections (those "We Should All Be Feminists" tees are everywhere), and you don't have to be Rihanna to keep an eye on what Dior puts down the runway. After watching the show, we spotted a few style that will be everywhere in six months without a doubt, so fashionistas should take note.
Check out the Dior trends that will keep you far ahead of the style curve below.
The Dior resort show had a distinctly Western vibe, and what's a Western show without a little fringe? Coats and skirts alike had fringe detailing on them that swung as the models walked. When a fringe trend looks this good, it's bound to stick around.
Unlike most runway shows, the Dior resort show bucked heels in favor of comfortable flats with a lot of feathers on them. The feather detailing came in both bright and muted colors and was seen on slip-on sandals and ballet-inspired styles alike. With flats this cool, we doubt this is the last time we'll see feather shoe detailing.
Calling all textile lovers—Dior brought crochet to the party. While crochet swimsuits have been incredibly popular in recent years, it has been awhile since we've seen a fully crocheted dress walk a runway. The crochet outfits were a fun and unique twist to the show, and we think it's safe to say that crochet looks are only going to become more popular going forward.
